We fade in to a sold out Vaillant Arena! We zoom in to Trick Morrison and Winter Mae at the announce desk!
Winter Mae: Coming off of a chaotic Fright Night event! We’re now on the fast track to War!! Welcome to Monday Night Mayhem! I’m Winter Mae, joined by my partner Trick Morrison!
Trick Morrison: Fright Night was definitely everything we thought it’d be Winter! But now it’s time to look ahead! Two contenders will be established tonight, along with a main event title match that’s sure to be a banger!
The scene opens with Trinity in their locker room looking very disgusted. All of them are in their ring gear and ready for a fight tonight. We see Valentina Skye walk up first and push the camera to her.
Valentina Skye: We are in a bad mood right now! Fright Night was supposed to be OUR NIGHT. OUR NIGHT IN RETAINING THE CHAMPIONSHIPS!
The girls try to calm her down.
Valentina Skye; You ladies can’t calm me down in this case…no no. We’ve spent ONE FULL YEAR busting our asses, showing what we got and making sure we retained our titles day in and day out!
She eyes the cameras in a serious matter
Valentina Skye: And this is what happens? You know what? Zion just made the biggest mistake by sending us three here to Mayhem! You will not like us when we are PISSED OFF!!
Aubrianna Powers: Everything will be fine. This was just a minor setback. We may no longer have the Trios Championship but Gold will once again be in our camp. I will focus on bringing the National Championship to Trinity. You will bring home the tag titles.
Brooke hears this and wants to have some kind of comfort in what Aubrianna is saying. However her frustration is just as hot as Valentina’s is. Luckily she manages to calm down long enough to address the camera, with the ladies looking on at the camera with angered intensity.
Brooke Cartwright: We have every damn right to be pissed off. And all of you should be too. Zion
Wrestling is on course to take a nosedive in relevancy. The VERY COMPANY that flourished with the four of us representing it with championship gold now will be forced to “what it was” now that those INSECTS Hebi No Rengo hijacked, not taken, HIJACKED, our gold. It’s not fair!
Brooke is about to lose it, but Valentina, Aubrianna, and Delilah calm her down. After a moment, Brooke turns back to the camera.
Brooke Cartwright: You know what’s not going to be fair, cretins? Is what we intend to do about it. Trinity DESERVES to be on top of Zion Wrestling and you all NEED us to be there. The time will come Hebi No Rengo when we will get our rematch. And the way we’re feeling right now, just crushing you under our boots won’t be enough to right this farce. So enjoy holding those titles for us.
The Meguism have set themselves to be credible Zion Tag Team Champions. At War Games, it seems right that they need a challenge that is worthy of being a match that will serve as a beacon to solidify their legitimacy of their existence as a team and their already historic title reign. That challenge is US! The only reason why you two even hold those titles now is because we haven’t had our eyes on them. It’s going to be an absolute pleasure bitchslapping reality into both of you. But tonight, Valentina and I will punch our ticket to War Games by obliterating Rock Candy. We were forced to let one thing get taken from us. We’d be DAMNED if we let another one slip away. And unfortunately for you two…you’re going to do a whole lot more than bending the knee to us, tonight. And THAT’S a promise.
The girls are in the foul mood as you can tell. Valentina looks at the camera
Valentina Skye: and I guarantee that these Rock Candy along with everyone else in OUR WAY will….
All three of them step up.
Trinity: Bend the Knee!
The girls walk out it.
OPENING MATCH: ROCK CANDY VS TRINITY (ZION TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP #1 CONTENDERS MATCH)
Vivian Blake: The following tag team contest…is scheduled for one fall!
Crowd: ONE FALL!
Vivian Blake: Introducing first…at a combined weight of 230 lbs…the team of Razzles Mars and Diamond Steele…Rock! Candy!
And their opponents…representing Trinity…at a combined weight of 263 lbs…Brooke Cartwright and Valentina! Skye!
Winter Mae: It wouldn’t be a reach to say that Diamond Steele and Razzles Mars’ newfound partnership faces its biggest test tonight in the form of Trinity!
Trick Morrison: The former Trios Champions now looking to get after some Tag Team gold, and I couldn’t think of a better pair for them to crush underneath their heels than these two, in my humble opinion!
Diamond Steele and Brooke Cartwright for their respective teams, going in for a Collar-And-Elbow Tie Up to start this off! Cartwright gets the upper hand with a Side Headlock to start, with Steele quickly slipping out and getting her tied in a Hammerlock to counter! Cartwright is in trouble at first, but she quickly looks for an escape, taking Steele to the mat with a Snapmare! The two get to their feet, getting directly back into the lock up! Steele is the one to get the advantage now, pushing Cartwright back into her corner! This backfires on her, with Skye getting the opening to tag herself in on Cartwright before coming into the ring and nailing Steele with a boot to the midsection! Steele staggers across the ring, with Skye catching up with her and nailing a Double Axe Handle to her back to send her kneeling! She hits the ropes now, returning to Steele with a Big Boot that sends her to the mat in full! She goes for the pin!
ONE…!
TWO…!
Kick out by Steele! She attempts to reach for her corner to tag in Mars, only for Skye to step on her in route to clubbing Mars off the apron with a Forearm! This awakens a wrath in Steele, who immediately charges Skye with Shoulder Thrust in the corner! She pulls Skye out, looking for a Vertical Suplex! But Skye sends a Knee down to the top of Steele’s head mid-lift, escaping the hold before throwing Steele into the corner with a Belly-To-Belly Suplex! She gets Steele to her feet, wrenching her arm before dragging her to her corner and tagging in Brooke Cartwright! She immediately takes to the second rope, hitting the wrenched arm of Steele with a Knee Drop! Steele falls to a knee, with Cartwright going for a set of Kicks to her chest! Each one gets more vicious than the last, with Steele almost defenseless against them! This is when Cartwright makes a crucial error, stepping back and taunting Steele to her face before going for one last Kick! This buys Steele enough time to recover, catching the leg off that final Kick and regaining a vertical base before taking her to the mat with a Dragon Screw Leg Whip!
Steele begins to crawl towards her corner, reaching out for Razzles Mars! Cartwright proceeds to do the same, winning a race by a hair and tagging in Valentina Skye! She rushes to cut the ring in half, swooping in front Steele to maintain the advantage! But Steele isn’t having it, nailing Skye with an Uppercut that sends her tumbling out of the ring through the ropes! She tags in Razzles Mars, who immediately responds by jumping to the second rope on the apron and nailing Skye with an Asai Moonsault! She throws Skye back into the ring, with Brooke Cartwright now rushing in to try and intercept! Mars sidesteps her however, pushing her right into the waiting arms of Steele, who lifts her up in a Suplex position! Mars sends her down with a Kick to the back, with Steele nailing the Brainbuster! Mars gets caught off guard by a returning Skye now, who catches her with a Schoolboy Roll Up!
ONE…!
TWO…!
Kick out by Steele, but Skye isn’t done with her! She lifts Mars up for a One-Armed Powerbomb, but before she can finish it, Diamond Steele intercepts with a Kick to the back of the head! This leaves an opening for Mars to hit a Hurricanrana instead, trapping Skye for the pin!
ONE….!
TWO…!
THREE-
Pin broken up via a Dropkick from Cartwright! Steele looks to throw her out of the ring, but she instead jumps to the second rope, hitting her with a Springboard Roundhouse Kick! Steele rolls out of the ring, with Cartwright shortly following her due to a Roundhouse Kick from Mars! She quickly pays for turning her back on Skye however, who lifts Mars off the mat and nails her with SUNS OUT!! GLAM SLAM CONNECTS!! She goes for the pin!
ONE…!
TWO…!
THREE-
Kick out by Mars! Skye looks to end this one, getting Mars to her feet for Skye’s Out! But Mars reverses the DDT with a Northern Lights Suplex! She takes to the apron, waiting for Skye to get up before hitting the MARS-IPAN KABLAM!! SLINGSHOT DDT CONNECTS!! She’s not finished however, taking to the top rope before diving off to hit the PEPPERMINT TWIST!! SKY TWISTER TO SKYE!! Pin by Mars!
ONE…!
TWO…!
Brooke Cartwright rushes in to break things up, only to be caught with a DIAMOND CUTTER BY STEELE!!
THREE!!
Vivian Blake: The winners of this match…Rock! Candy!
Winter Mae: Mars and Steele get the win tonight!
Trick Morrison: You mean Trinity got ROBBED once again tonight!
Winter Mae: Rock Candy won this fair and square, Trick!
Trick Morrison: Yeah…whatever…
Steele and Mars celebrate as we fade.
WINNERS: ROCK CANDY
RESULT: PINFALL
The scene cuts to a locker room back stage. Sitting in a chair with a glass of liquor in hand is the man known simply as IKEDA. His signature shades resting on the collar of his loose fitting shirt. He looks up at the camera after a moment of silent contemplation.
IKEDA : I know most of you likely have no idea who I am. And I understand why. This business is a very "what have you done for me lately" type of thing. And for the last couple of years, I've been retired. So I haven't really been in any sort of spotlight. That and the fact I don't really do a whole bunch of that Twitter business either. And most of these kids these days have the memory of a gnat.
He chuckles a bit and takes a sip from his glass and then shakes his head.
IKEDA : You will simply call me IKEDA. And I have been in this wrestling business for the better part of twenty five years, most of that spent in Japan, but I have also won a title or two on American soil. Needless to say, I've seen a thing or two in my time. And I've done a thing or two as well. And I'll have to tell you this, I've seen my friend Reo Ojima say a time of two that kids these days need to learn to slow down and consider flipping around a bit less. Just doing too much, it's just..frustrating to watch. And you know what, I think it's time to show the Zion faithful just how it's done and just who the hell I am.
IKEDA just glares at the camera.
IKEDA : So here is what is going to happen, I'm going to pick SJW apart. I'm going to make him reconsider his career options. Why? Because he needs to be made an example of. He needs to be shown that there is another way to do things these days, a slower paced way. It might be as flashy as you are used to, but oh, you will see how effective it is.
He chuckles to himself as he finishes his glass and wipes his mouth with his arm before getting up from his chair.
MATCH #2: IKEDA VS STERLING JAMISON WHITE
IKEDA makes short work of SJW off the bell, immediately taking him down with a Lariat off the bell! He snatches him up, taking him right to the mat for a Brainbuster before mounting him with a set of rapid punches! The official pulls IKEDA away, checking on the condition of SJW! This doesn’t persist for long, as IKEDA is ready back on him with a set of Stomp to the abdomen! He pulls SJW to his feet, taking him right back down with Hero’s Pride (Cobra Clutch Suplex)! He isn’t finished however, taking to the corner before rushing in and hitting Mind’s Eye (Knee Trembler)! He covers SJW, getting the three count to end this match!
Vivian Blake: The winner of this match…IKEDA!
IKEDA stands over his opponent as we fade
WINNER: IKEDA
RESULT: PINFALL
MATCH #3: KASEY KASH VS RUBY STEELE
Kash and Steele circle the ring at the start of this match, with the Canberran Antichrist seemingly wanting to get a bit technical as he initiates a lock up! Steele takes the bait, getting a Kick right to the midsection for her trouble before being right straight into the turnbuckles! Kash proceeds to lay into Steele with a set of Stomps, each one sinking her further and further into the corner before the official pulls him away! Kash pushes past the referee to get back to his opponent, but this gives Steele a little time to recover, exploding out of the corner with a European Uppercut to Kash! He staggers back, with Steele taking to the second rope before hitting Kash with a Meteora! She transitions into a pin, only getting a two count!
Steele looks to add further damage, rushing to the second rope in hopes of hitting a Lionsault! But Kash pops back to his feet just in time, pulling the ropes back to send Steele flying off! She rolls to her feet, rushing back towards Kash and right into a Bicycle Pump Kick! She attempts to stagger back to her feet, but Kash is right back on top of her, getting her in position before dropping her with a Sit Out Powerbomb! He keeps her down for the pin, only getting a two! But Kash rolls her to her knees, getting to his feet and nailing her with a Bicycle Knee Strike! Pin again by Kash, only yielding a two!
Kash looks to end this, waiting in the corner for Steele to make it to her feet before rushing over for No Pressure! But Steele catches him mid-run with her signature Slingblade! She realizes she now has the match in hand, taking to the top rope and following up with her signature Diving Moonsault! She goes for the pin, with Kash kicking out right before the count of three! Steele gets him up and in position for the Ruby Tuesday, but Kash reverses the Cradle DDT into an Inside Cradle Pin! The sneaky pin only conjures up a two, but to Kash that’s important, with Steele being in perfect kneeling position for him to hit “You’re Just a Head on a Stick” (Hidden Blade)! He goes for the pin, getting the three count!
Vivian Blake: The winner of this match…Kasey! FUCKING! Kash!
Winter Mae: Another impressive win by the Chance Briefcase Holder tonight!
Trick Morrison: Kasey Kash stole away that briefcase a month ago at Invasion: London, and hasn’t taken an L a day in his life since!
Winter Mae: But wait, what about…
Trick Morrison: Not one. Single. L.
Kash celebrates with his Briefcase held high as we fade.
WINNER: KASEY KASH
RESULT: PINFALL
We are backstage at the Vailant Arena in Davos, Switzerland. We spot a rather irritated Aubrianna Powers pacing back and forth across the floor. She looks naked without the Trios championship belt she once proudly held. She’s not actually naked though you sickos. The Most Valuable Powers is dressed in her pink and black two piece wrestling gear with matching pink and black boots.
Aubrianna Powers: You idiots are enjoying this, aren’t you? You losers can’t stand to see people like me succeed. Because you know greatness comes so easy to me, it comes easy and naturally to all of Trinity, yet you know you will never ever be as good…or as good looking…as us! So you enjoy it when we fail. You are jealous and you enjoy watching us fail.
The MVP sneers and shakes her head.
Aubrianna Powers: Well don’t get used to this appearance. The MVP of Zion doesn’t just wallow in disappointment and sorrow like you useless fools. I move forward not only to right the wrong, not just to bigger and better things, but to bring championship gold back to Trinity.
She smirks.
Aubrianna Powers: Chris Matthews, you are the one and only idiot standing between me and an opportunity to become the National Champion. I want a rematch against Oliver Peters for personal reasons. Because I DON’T lose and I owe that idiot a receipt! But before I can get to him I need to get through you.
Powers shakes her head.
Aubrianna Powers: If you think you have any chance of beating me and earning that title match then you are delusional, Matthews. You are just red tape. Zion can’t just hand me the title match. I have to “earn” it. So I have to beat your ass. But that is academic, my friend. Me being champion again is inevitable and you and Oliver both can just learn to love it, bitches.
‘It’s a most dreary day outside. All the joyous nimbuses made a most hasty departure. Hordes of ebony nimbostratus clouds have long since set up shop. The skies morph into a neverending void. That void soon gives way to pill sized rain drops that flood the soil upon impact. A vigorous wind rolls in from the east to add insult to injury.
Despite its unrelenting nature, today’s dismal weather is quite fitting given the locale. An immense sign lounges on the side of a nearby structure. Ornate gold and onyx engraved markings announce the site to the entire world:
The Graveyard of the Fallen
It might appear to be an ordinary columbarium to the untrained eye. However, the savvy weekly viewer would gleam that things are never so simple. The inside walls of this mammoth building are lined with unmarked charcoal colored rectangular niches. An electronic component is fixed to the bottom of each individual compartment.
The oh so distinct sound of heels clicking against a porcelain flooring echoes throughout the open air. A swift pan to the left reveals QUEEN Sakamoto. She’s adorned in a metallic black and gold Michael Kors knit Racerback dress and a pair of black Chantal leather platform pumps. The pale gold hue of her Prada shades masks her irises. Our champion traverses the length of western wall until her stride suddenly comes to a halt.
QUEEN seems to identify a particular niche despite its absence of distinguishing features. A tap on the electronic devices gives way to a holographic display window. QUEEN scans its contents: a crippled and marred image of gargoyle stares back at her.
QUEEN Sakamoto: The rhetoric of the people who populate Zion Wrestling is frightening.
A moment passes before she turns in the direction of the camera.
QUEEN Sakamoto: Faye. Minka. Reo. Three vastly dissimilar souls from divergent walks of life. And yet, they all made reference to a very peculiar concept―humbleness. But what does it truly mean to be humble? Hmm?
She begins to speak five seconds later when no answer is offered up.
QUEEN Sakamoto: The word humble has many definitions that shift and shake depending on how one chooses to use it in a sentence. Nevertheless, if you elect to search it up on your very own, the first definition is quite clear. “Not proud or arrogant; modest.”
QUEEN taps on her chin and feigns a look of deep thought.
QUEEN Sakamoto: Hmm. I suppose that is all well and good, in theory. However―
A brief pause follows.
QUEEN Sakamoto: That is a load of horse shit that we are all aware of.
The Zion Wrestling Champion shakes her head.
QUEEN Sakamoto: Professional wrestling is a perilous and painful sport. The meek and mild do not last very long. They are chewed up and spat out onto the cold ground. They are ravished and left for dead.
Another moment passes.
QUEEN Sakamoto: That noble definition of humble is the one that the people often cling to because it radiates a fallacy of righteousness. But that’s not the one that is in people’s hearts when they utter the word, not towards me. No, no, no. They are referencing the second meaning―“having a feeling of insignificance, inferiority, subservience.”
The semblance of a smirk begins to creep across QUEEN’s face.
QUEEN Sakamoto: Aye yes. That’s the ticket, isn’t it?
She shakes her head.
QUEEN Sakamoto: Respectability wasn’t a priority for my previous contenders, even though they purported it be. No. They desired for me to feel unimportant in the grand scheme of things. They yearned for me to feel like a lowly peon so that they could lord their so-called superiority over me. They longed for me to feel as if I were lower than dirt in hopes that I’d never reach my true potential.
Silence takes over for a brief period of time.
QUEEN Sakamoto: Michael Jordan never dreamed of humbling himself. Kobe Bryant refused to do so, even with trying adversity and past transgressions hanging over his head. Why? It’s because their boldness wasn’t a reflection of their insecurities. No. Their egotism and confidence walked hand in hand with their talents. To deny that arrogance would be to deny themselves. So they embraced it instead, just as I have. And that is what allowed them to reach the pinnacle of their field.
She allows her own fingers to caress her hair.
QUEEN Sakamoto: I would rather look to those greats than anyone in this company.
A slow shake of the head follows.
QUEEN Sakamoto: There will come a point in time where I shall lose the Zion Wrestling Championship. No reign lasts for eternity. And when that time comes? I shall accept it. However, I will never in my life hang my head low. I called my shot on my first night in this promotion. And I have delivered ten thousand fold thus far. I shall not be ashamed whatsoever.
QUEEN takes a couple of steps towards the camera.
QUEEN Sakamoto: Thea? You appear to be my next challenger. I sincerely hope our interactions will be pleasant, at least until we see each other in the ring. However, I do not have the luxury of holding my breath. And I shall not make the same foolish assumption that I did in the past.
With that, QUEEN turns and walks out of the frame. The picture fades away shortly afterwards.
MATCH #4: AUBRIANNA POWERS VS CHRIS MATTHEWS (NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP #1 CONTENDERS MATCH)
Matthews and Powers start off exchanging grapples, with Matthews getting the better of things with a Side Headlock! Powers manages to slip out, however, getting Matthews into a Hammerlock instead, before transitioning into a Side Headlock of her own! She brings Matthews to the mat with a Takeover, but Matthews quickly rolls to his knees and regains a vertical base, nailing Powers with a Saito Suplex! Powers slowly gets to her knees, with Matthews proceeding to lay into her with the S.E.A.L. Kicks, before stepping back and laying a Superkick into the side of Powers’ head! He goes for the pin, only scoring a two!
He looks to continue inflicting damage despite this, getting Powers to her feet before getting her in a Suplex position! Powers reverses however, slipping Matthews’ grip and landing behind him, before nailing him with a Kick to the back of the knee to send him kneeling! She hits the ropes, nailing Matthews with a Shining Wizard to the back of the head! She takes to the top rope now, looming over Matthews before hitting a 450 Splash! She rolls to her feet off the move, nailing a Standing Moonsault to seal the deal before going for the pin, getting a close two!
Powers looks to finish this off, using her boot to guide Matthews to his feet in hopes of hitting the Most Valuable Kick! But Matthews catches the Reverse Roundhouse Kick in motion, tossing Powers across the ring with an Inverted Exploder Suplex! Powers pops to her knees, with Matthews nailing her with a Stiff Knee to the jaw! She rolls out of the ring, with Matthews hitting the ropes and nailing her with a Suicide Dive! He quickly throws her back in the ring before taking to the top rope! He launches over to Powers, nailing her with his signature Diving Knee Strike! He covers, getting just an inch away from the referee hitting the mat for the three before Powers kicks out!
Matthews looks to finish Powers off, waiting for her to reach her hands and knee before hitting the ropes to go for Reign of Thunder! But Powers moves out of the way, with Matthews turning around and rushing right into the Most Valuable Kick (Reverse Roundhouse Kick)! Matthews is down now, with Powers jumping to the second rope to hit Simply The Best Moonsault (Lionsault) to complete The Powers That Be! Powers with the pin, getting the three count to secure the victory!
Vivian Blake: The winner of this match…Aubrianna! Powers!
Winter Mae: Aubrianna Powers pulls Trinity back into the winners column, and now has a shot at the National Championship next week!
Trick Morrison: Our main event will tell us if she’s going against Reo Ojima or the current champion Oliver Peters! Either way, she certainly has a tall task ahead of her if she hopes to be the next National Champion!
Powers has her hand raised as we fade.
WINNER: AUBRIANNA POWERS
RESULT: PINFALL
We cut backstage to find Samuel Lopez standing, staring off into nothingness with his cold, piercing eyes not moving an inch. Standing beside him is Dr. Castiel Talbot, dressed in a black suit along with a black turtleneck, his hands resting on the top of his cane as he clears his throat and gives a soft smile into the camera.
Dr. Castiel Talbot: Good evening Mayhem fans… and apologies for the brief interruption… however I felt like I needed to voice my concern about something on behalf of Samuel here.
The psychiatrist strokes his beard a little.
Dr. Castiel Talbot: Now… I have stated previously that my knowledge of this industry known as professional wrestling is not my strong suit. After all… I am merely but a psychiatrist. However, being around it for the short period of time that I have… after taking a look at tonight’s card upon its release… I noticed a rather… disappointing discrepancy.
Talbot briefly glances over to Lopez who hasn’t moved an inch, not even blinking.
Dr. Castiel Talbot: See Samuel here, he had an opportunity at a championship when he battled Mr. Ojima a few weeks ago… and unfortunately that was stolen from him by Mr. Matthews. Now… fast forward to the Fright Night Pay-Per-View event… Samuel defeated Mr. Matthews inside a steel cage match.
The elderly gentleman pushes his glasses up from the bridge of his nose and over his eyes.
Dr. Castiel Talbot: It is of my belief that in this industry… championship opportunities are earned through accumulating victories… and here is where my discrepancy comes into play. For some unusual reason… despite the fact that Samuel here defeated Mr. Matthews at Fright Night… that same Mr. Matthews is booked in a match against Ms. Aubrianna Powers… where the victor receives a shot at the National Championship.
Talbot outstretches his arms.
Dr. Castiel Talbot: So I cannot help but wonder… where is Samuel’s championship opportunity? Perhaps Zion management have other plans in place for dear Samuel… and if that is the case then I shall apologize for these comments accordingly.
Yet again, the man strokes his beard.
Dr. Castiel Talbot: Of course, if there are not any plans in place. I feel it only necessary to have a discussion with said management to get a better understanding on why a man who tortured an innocent soul, broke the wrist of a non-combatant and lost his most recent match has received an opportunity of this magnitude… while the very man who defeated him has received nothing.
The smile returns to his face as he nods.
Backstage, we hear an argument between Sayge and Austin, as the two had been on edge for the past couple weeks.
Austin St. Croix:
"This is all your fault, Sayge! You interfered in the fight, you got ISIS all pissy, and you caused us to lose our last match!"
Sayge Gonzalez:
"You were getting your ass handed to you, girl! I had to come out there!"
Austin St. Croix:
"No, I told you win or lose, I wanted to do it by myself... you didn't listen. You don't believe in me, either."
She said, turning away with a sad tone to her voice, as the long time friends were having a bit of a rocky relationship as of late.
Sayge Gonzalez:
"Austin. C'mon, we've been homies for years. Remember when you got cheated on in 10th grade? Who was the first person there with the ice cream? Who was there when you got in that real bad car crash? I've always got your back, girl. Whether you like it or not."
She said, as Austin turned back to her, as she gives her a quick hug for support.
Austin St. Croix:
"You be careful out there."
Sayge Gonzalez:
"Don't worry, I got this. I can match her power for power. ISIS is gonna regret fucking with us."
She said, patting her back, as Sayge broke the hug, readying to fight.
MATCH #5: ISIS VS SAYGE GONZALEZ
ISIS immediately springs across the ring, nailing Gonzalez with a Shoulder Block that sends her tumbling to the mat like a ton of bricks! The pure strength of The God of Destruction catches even her off guard, leading to her rolling out of the ring in order to recalibrate! ISIS eggs her back into the ring, with Gonzalez immediately ducking a Lariat attempt in order to catch with a Forearm to the side of the head! The shot rocks ISIS a fair bit, with her now being the one who’s caught off guard by her opponent! Gonzalez follows up, rushing ISIS into the corner and bashing her head against the top turnbuckle! She rushes to the opposite corner, going for a Splash! She decides to go for another, rushing back to the opposite corner and nailing ISIS with the move again! Third time’s a charm for Gonzalez now, as she takes to the opposite corner again! This time, however, ISIS catches her by surprise, following her into the corner and nailing her with a European Uppercut! She rolls Gonzalez out of the corner, waiting for her to get up so she can run right through her, but Gonzalez catches her by surprise with a Swinging Sidewalk Slam! She goes for the pin, only getting a two count!
Gonzalez pulls ISIS back to her feet, looking to take her down once again with a Butterfly Suplex! But ISIS reverses, showing off a bit of her athleticism now by rolling Gonzalez up with a Victory Roll! She almost immediately kicks out, but ISIS is given the high ground here, nailing Gonzalez with a Stomp to the midsection! Gonzalez sits up in recoil, with ISIS hitting the ropes and nailing her with a Penalty Kick! ISIS approaches the ground Gonzalez, using her incredible strength to deadlift her 166 pound frame off the mat for a German Suplex! She rolls through, hitting a second German Suplex, then hitting a third! She goes for the pin, only getting the two!
ISIS looks to finish this off, waiting for Gonzalez to make it to her feet before going for a Bicycle Kick! But Gonzalez moves out of the way, amazingly hoisting ISIS on her shoulders before dropping her with a Samoan Drop! She pulls off yet another incredible feat of strength, grabbing ISIS by the legs and swinging her around with the Cyclone (Swing)! Gonzalez looks to finish this off with the Anaconda Vice! It looks as though ISIS is fading, but she eventually finds her strength, fighting out and lifting Gonzalez off the mat before hitting Welcome To Dystopia (One-Armed Powerbomb)! She goes for the pin, getting the three count to end this match!
Vivian Blake: The winner of this match…ISIS!
Winter Mae: Incredible win by ISIS tonight!
Trick Morrison: Sayge Gonzalez put everything she had into that one, but in the end it wasn’t enough to quell the God of Destruction!
ISIS stands tall as we fade.
WINNER: ISIS
RESULT: PINFALL
The scene cuts backstage as Reo is in the middle of tapping his wrist with black tape. Round and round and round the tape goes as Reo addresses the camera in his native Japanese. Thankfully for the viewers at home, English subtitles appear at the bottom of the screen.
Reo Ojima: Last week didn’t work well for me when it came to the Zion title. The Queen was the better wrestler that night so I’ll say congratulations. I’m sure round two will be around the corner and I’ll be ready for that. But I didn’t let the loss bring me down. After my close to 30 years of being in this industry, it’s just another match….a match that could have gotten me another title…..but just another match at the end of the day.
One wrist is done, onto the other.
Reo Ojima: So color me surprised when I found out that I’d be facing off against Oliver Peters for the National Title. Last time we fought, it would be to become the number one contender for the National Title. Peters got a knee to my face and got the pin to go on and win the National Title a couple of weeks later.
Reo tosses the tape aside and looks directly into the camera as a slight grin comes crawling across his face.
Reo Ojima: You made us old timers proud, kid. And you’ve done a good job defending the belt and putting some pride behind it that hasn’t been there for some time. But now the real challenge is coming. Round two Peters. We’ve wrestled one another, we’ve trained, we’ve drank and laughed and had good times. So it’ll be interesting to see what happens in that ring tonight, because it won’t be the same type of scheme as it was last time we fought.
Reo pulls both his Hyperfight and Pollo Roads belts and tosses them on his shoulders. Reo is about to leave but stops as he addresses the camera one last time.
Reo Ojima: Let’s see if Daddy Ojima can add to the collection.
Reo places his mouth piece into his mouth and walks off as the scene fades to black.
