BRKTHRU Episode 3 Results!!!
LIVE From the Star Factory in Detroit Michigan!
BACKSTAGE
We are somewhere backstage in the building BRKTHRU is running tonight, though it could not really be called an ideal view of the area. We see a hallway, branching off to many rooms, locker rooms perhaps. From the way the view bobs slightly as slow, heavy footsteps are taken, it’s almost like we’re watching through the eyes of someone. There is some background noise, the sound of people talking and such, but it is hard to hear over the noise. The prevailing noise of breathing, deep breaths, heavy. Like they’re preparing for some great exertion, just a moment away. The view moves down the hallway slowly, peering into the first room, where a janitor is cleaning up a mess. The eyes do not watch this for long, stepping further in and peering in again. A wrestler is getting ready, putting on their wrist tape, ready for what’s to come. The eyes watch for a few moments, but that is not what they wait for, and so they move on. This continues, each room briefly peered in, briefly watched intently, with that breathing constant in your ears as you watch with them. And finally, they peer into a room, and take a single step forward.
Inside is clearly Nao Saegusa, clad once more in a tokusatsu hero cosplay. She seems to be practicing a promo she plans to film, her phone set up on a table to film her as she goes through her motions, some vague words able to be heard over the din of the breathing. She poses for a moment then moves to the phone to check the video, nodding to herself. She seems to be getting closer, as the breathing moves towards her, into the room with her now. The view shifts to a more traditional view of Nao as she goes to set the phone back down on the table to shoot the final version, humming to herself, unaware of the shape coming up behind her. She never realizes she isn’t alone until it’s too late.
In the darkness that surrounds the room, the figure that finds Nao comes into frame. The clinking of metal hanging off his fur-lined shawl crosses the audio feed. His eyes aren’t visible, but the intention behind his appearance cuts through the lens. Clad in his ring attire, KONSTANTINE steps out, towering over the younger woman before him. His shoulders are slouched back, and he studies Saegusa, sizing her up. He flexes his jaw before alleviating anything internal with a sharp breath. In a way, his usual placid features invoke a feeling of disappointment.
KONSTANTINE: Our little hero, am I correct?
He lets the deep register of his voice cascade throughout the space.
KONSTANTINE: I didn’t think that we would meet under these circumstances. I thought it was too early, but it seems that the universe has other plans.
Taking a step forward, KONSTANTINE fills the camera frame.
KONSTANTINE: Why did you interrupt my process? Did it satisfy your desire to be a hero?
Another beat.
KONSTANTINE: Are you satisfied?
The moment that deep voice filled the room Nao let out a yelp, jumping a bit, her phone leaving her hands as she has to take a moment to desperately flail to catch it, and then jumping again the moment she turns around and realizes who it is, letting out a word in her native language that would likely not be reprintable if translated. She takes a step back as he steps forward, eyes darting around the room especially at the exit blocked by his frame, her hands coming up to protect herself. But no attacks come, only words, and her hands drop finally as he asks her these questions. She seems uncertain, though it’s unclear if it’s at the situation or the questions, but after a moment starts to respond, a bit hesitant.
Nao Saegusa: H-how-
Remembering herself, she coughs suddenly.
Nao Saegusa: How could I not be satisfied! Someone was in danger, and I helped them! What else could a Hero want?
She shakes her head.
Nao Saegusa: If anything, you should be the one answering things about their actions! Are YOU satisfied with what you tried to do? What process is helped by trying to assault someone else, hm? I saw no process, only a harmful act. Such villainy has no place here!
KONSTANTINE’s brow hardens as he takes in Saegusa’s words. After a moment of quiet, he looks beyond Saegusa, staring into the void.
KONSTANTINE: Tell me, child, how much time have you spent in the fields? Have you tended to any flocks? Have you tilled life for some deeper purpose?
No matter how cryptic, the question is rhetorical. In the midst of that, KONSTANTINE goes on.
KONSTANTINE: The time that I spend, invest, devote to my practices led to a greater harvest. You sow the seeds, you nurture the sprout, and you cherish the sapling. It’s a labor of love. And yet, at the time of harvest, you have to exact a certain sin. You must kill the thing you cultivate. Despite the grief you subtly endure, you take what’s left in your hands and consume to make yourself better.
His dark eyes in all their coldness fall onto the young woman before him.
KONSTANTINE: You call it villainy. I call it passion. So yes, I am satisfied.
He lets his head dip to the side, invocative of him intaking all that she is.
KONSTANTINE: I’m not here for that prattle, though. I’m here for you.
As KONSTANTINE speaks and the weight and conviction of his words ring clear, the uncertainty in Nao’s face changes to disbelief and perhaps even a bit of fear.
Nao Saegusa: T-that’s…
But whatever she was going to say dies at his final words, her eyes widening as she takes a few steps back, back of her legs clattering against the table behind her, shfiting herself into a kind of defensive position.
Nao Saegusa: Here for me? For what, are you going to try and cultivate me!?
She puts on an approximation of a brave, determined face.
Nao Saegusa: Don’t underestimate a Hero! I…I won’t be so easily…consumed.
KONSTANTINE lingers for a moment before he begins to trudge back into the darkness. From there, he lets free a final set of words.
KONSTANTINE: It’s not you, child, that I will consume. I’ll be looking inward for that.
From there, he points the place over his heart.
KONSTANTINE: I know what lies deep within you, and that’s what appeals to me.
He continues backward until he’s out of sight, where only a thin outline of his countenance stays in the mind of the viewers and Nao Saegusa herself. She watches as he vanishes, his words ringing through her head. A shaky hand comes up and presses itself over her heart.
Nao Saegusa: Deep within…me…?
And on that uncertain contemplation of the meaning of the God Eater’s words, we cut away.
"Heartache" by From Ashes To New fill the arena as we begin the show for the night. It all starts with a shot of the crowd, as a "BRKTHRU" chant comes alive.
Robert Kaiden Oakley V. Kandice Stanford
From Kansas City, Robert Kaiden Oakley!
From Seattle Washington, Kandice Stanford!
The bell rings as the crowd is eager to see Kandice debut on BRKTHRU. They lock up but it's not long before Kandice hits a running meteora on Oakley. She takes a moment to taunt at the crowd, but it might cost her! RKO rolls her up and gets a near three count!
This infuriates Kandice as she gets up and couple forearm strikes followed by a Saito Suplex. Oakley is down and Kandice takes advantage of it and hits You Hate To See It, the running knee to a knelt Oakley, before locking in Never Backwards! The rear naked choke! Oakley has nowhere to go and has to tap!
Winner: Kandice Stanford
Ayu Megumi/Nao Saegusa V. Grayson Osiris Deville/Ryan Peters
From Okinawa Japan, Ayu Megumi!
From Saitama Saitama Japan, Nao Saegusa!
From Manhattan New York, Grayson Osiris Deville!
From Lancaster Pennsylvania, Ryan Peters!
This match starts as its Ayu Megumi and Ryan Peters start things off. Ayu instantly charges at Ryan Peters and lands a handspring pele kick. It shocks Peters, but Ayu is on the offense right away. She doesn't let go hitting a few jawbreakers and dropkicks. Peters is in a bad spot early in this match as she tags in Nao Saegusa.
The crowd pops immediately for her, but Peters doesn't want any of it. He tags in Grayson who whips her in his partners corner with a big splash followed by a superkick. Grayson and Peters make quick tag after quick tag, with Grayson eventually trying to pin Nao but only gets a two count. Nao doesn't stay down long, however as she starts her offense. Things begin breaking down, and now our two legal opponents are Ayu Megumi and Grayson. They begin pummeling away at one another and not let up.
Eventually, Nao and Ayu hits suicide dives on the outside which takes out Ryan Peters. They go back in the ring and we see Nao on one turnbuckle, and Ayu Megumi on another! They both get up to their respective corners, pointing to one another. Nao hits Spacium Cut! The Top Rope Leg Drop! As she dives, so does Ayu who hits Leap! The Diving Moonsault for the 3!
Winners: Ayu Megumi/Nao Saegusa
They begin celebrating in the ring as the camera gets one final shot at Deville before we fade out.
KONSTATINE V. Ricky Rodriguez ©*Fighting Spirit Championship
He…Is…KONSTATINE!
From New York…The Fighting Spirit Champion, Ricky Rodriguez!
The match begins and KONSTATINE immediately goes after Ricky! He's tired of his jawing and wants to end this early! Ricky however has everything he does fairly well scouted. He actually starts to get annoyed with KONSTATINE and starts pummeling away at him. This wrestling match turned into a fight fairly quickly.
KONSTATINE whips Ricky to the outside and delivers a powerbomb on the apron, followed by a lariat! He delivers another powerbomb, this time on the barricade. He goes in the ring to break up the count. He's now toying with Ricky, taunting him. Ricky doesn't like it, however. Instead delivers a swinging neckbreaker to The God Eater, and then punches away at him! Ricky rolls Konstatine back into the ring and hits a spinning roundhouse kick, looking to set up To The Top, but KONSTATINE has it all scouted and goes up top with him and delivers a powerful Exploder Suplex! Instead of going for a pin however, he wants to inflict more damage and goes for a chair.
Ricky sees this, and wisely rolls under the ring and gets a kendo stick! This has gotten out of hand! They both start swinging on each other, causing the referee to ring the bell. The fans are absolutely upset at the finish of this match! But wait, BRKTHRU GM Marina Flores is coming out to the ring!
"Wait, Wait Wait!!! This Is NOT what BRKTHRU is about! We're not going to have any of this! Next week on BRKTHRU, it'll be Ricky Rodriguez defending his Fighting Spirit Championship against KONSTATINE…And since you guys want to brawl anywhere…How about a Falls Count Anywhere?" The crowd erupts as Marina Flores drops the mic and heads to the back.

Mai Blackman V. Alicia Cassidy
From Chicago Illinois, Mai Blackman!
From Miami Florida, Alicia Cassidy!
The match starts with both competitors in a collar and elbow tie up. Mai Blackman instantly kicks down Alicia Cassidy, who tries her best getting up, but Mai keeps her grounded, which is a very dangerous position for Alicia. Mai smiles as the crowd continuously boos her. She doesn't care and locks in a guillotine choke. Right as Alicia is about to tap, Mai transitions into a belly-to-belly suplex.
Alicia is in a terrible way right now. Mai is absolutely destroying her. At one point however, Alicia catches Mai with a few knees and goes for a rollup pin, but Mai catches her and powerbombs her twice on the mat before locking in Blackmans Bounty, causing Alicia to fade! The referee is trying his damnest to get her to break the hold, but Mai isn't letting up at all! Eventually, she lets go of the hold.
Winner: Mai Blackman
However after the match, "Sweet But Psycho" plays as we see the Television Champion Jennie Fenix atop the ramp! She eyes down Mai Blackman, who stares right back at her, pointing to her Television Championship. It looks like Jennie has her next opponent in mind!
Thalia Starks V. Elijah Copeland
From Shreveport, Louisiana, Thalia Starks!
From Lancaster Pennsylvania, Elijah Copeland!
This match is underway as we can see Elijah Copepland still seething from last week. The tie up but it’s not long until Thalia hits Elijah with a flurry of offense! Safe to say he wasn’t expecting that! The BRKTHRU Champion is taken back a little bit as Thalia hits a Hip Toss followed by a Running Bulldog to keep the champ off his feet! She stays on the offensive as she hits a few standing moonsaults in a row! She plays into the crowd a little bit, as they love what they’re seeing from her! A “Lets Go Thalia” chant breaks out!
She looks to be in full control! That is until The BRKTHRU Champion gets to his feet, hitting a Snap DDT that sends her crashing down hard. He mocks her by repeating the move a few times and then shouting “See, I can do the same move over and over too!” The crowd boos Elijah but he could care less. Instead the Champion backs up Thalia Starks in the corner and hits a Superkick that stuns her. She’s not down! Elijah becomes frustrated at that, so he goes for a running clothesline! Thalia is running on adrenaline! The Champion is in a bad spot!
She’s now begging Elijah to hit her again with a clothesline! He does but she’s not having any of it and throws Elijah into the turnbuckle and hits a Superplex! She has Elijah right where she wants him! It doesn’t last however as Elijah catches her and connects with a Philly Special! Thalia is down! He goes for a pin!
Just then, “Reborn Through Failure” hits, as Chelsea Skye stands atop the entrance! It catches Elijah off guard! Thalia is right behind him, but this time he hits a second Philly Special for the 3! Chelsea shakes her head at Elijah, as he stares down Chelsea Skye the entire time he’s pinning Thalia.

Sofia Hilton V. Chelsea Skye

The match starts with both competitors eyeing each other down. Sofia is first to get offense in, with a couple of arm drags and a nice drop toe hold. Early in the match, her strategy is simple; Wear down Chelsea Skye as much as possible. We see Sofia hitting an array of offensive maneuvers, ones that do a ton of damage to Chelsea’s back. She lands a few suplexes that make Chelsea wince in pain. She tries going for a pin attempt, but only gets a 2 count.
It’s now Chelsea’s turn getting her moves in on Sofia. “The Nightmare Angel” is quick to whip her into the ropes, and spear her on the outside! She gets up and lands a boot to the side of Sofia’s head before landing a nice enziguri! Sofia is dazed as Chelsea sends her into the ring. Skye tries going for “Down From The Heavens,” the Corkscrew Shooting Star Press, but Sofia is quick to move out of the way!
Instead, Sofia goes up to the top rope, taking her opponent with her. “La Conja” is looking for a Tornado DDT which connects! Both competitors are down. Hilton picks up Chelsea as they exchange some blows. Skye is first to create an opening as she lands Angels Reckoning! She gets up to the top and hits “Skyes The Limit” for the 3 count!
Winner: Chelsea Skye!
Her celebration doesn’t last too long as Elijah Copeland runs out to the ring with a steel chair in hand! Chelsea turns around and gets hit HARD by the BRKTHRU Champion! He’s not done as he hits her once more while she’s down, and then throws the chair in the other direction! The crowd boos as we end the show with Elijah holding up his BRKTHRU Championship.
