Wrestler's Alignment: Heel
Wrestler Intangibles:
Intangible #1: Narcissistic
Intangible #2: Villainous
Intangible #3: Genius
Gimmick Description: Isn’t it such a pain when you run across someone who is faster than you, someone who is smarter than you, and someone who can wrestle you underneath the fucking ground? Cue QUEEN Sakamoto. Widely considered a prodigy in the sport, Sakamoto is primed and poised for in-ring domination.
Character Biography: Becoming a professional wrestler is a daunting task in and of itself. So many things have to fall in line for a person to even get a break. So many things have to go right before one can truly become successful. In essence, professional wrestling is a deadly game of wait and see. But for Ms. Sakamoto? The stakes are far more great. Getting a break and gaining some success would be seen as a massive failure.
No―Shoko was expected to become the best wrestler to ever walk the earth.
The Sakamoto family has been entrenched in the sport since the late 1960s. Misaki Sakamoto (grandmother) had a tremendous ten-year stint before she was forced to take time off for pregnancy and to heal up some injuries. Her heart yearned to return to the ring once her home life was more stable, but her body had other plans. Still desiring to be involved in some fashion, Misaki became the trainer and booker of a small promotion called Wild Frontier Wrestling. Misaki’s heavy involvement with the company meant that her daughter Tsuna was always around the sport. It would only be a matter of time before Tsuna (mother) began to wade in the water. Tsuna debuted in 1995 for Rea-Son Wrestling. And man, did she begin to tear up a fucking storm.
Tsuna has constantly stated 1-25-1998 was one the happiest days of her life. It was the day that her beautiful Shoko came into her life. And while she didn’t know it at the time, that day would later alter the wrestling world as she knew it.
Young Shoko was quite the perceptive child. It became clear to her early on that professional wrestling would be her destiny. Her grandmother had done it; her mother had done it. So instead of attempting to fight the inevitable, Shoko simply embraced it.
Though, a tiny Shoko was tossed into the world of track & field before she was placed into a wrestling ring. And although she excelled at it and enjoyed the praise everyone gave her, Shoko’s heart was never really in it. But little did she know, the lessons that she learned on the mat would carry over to the ring: the pageantry that accompanies a large event, the showmanship that’s required to wow a crowd, and the confidence that’s necessary to succeed.
Shoko’s formal wrestling training began at the age of fifteen. Although Misaki and Tsuna went back and forth for quite a while, it was ultimately decided that Shoko would train under her grandmother at Wild Frontier Wrestling’s dojo. It allowed both Misaki and Tsuna to keep a close eye on Shoko’s process.
And if you thought there was an ounce of nepotism involved, you’d be gravely mistaken.
The Wild Frontier Wrestling dojo had earned the reputation of being a harsh environment to train in. The building was old and run down. The equipment was far from state of the art. And Miskai had become infamous for being a ferocious instructor. And given the fact that she was expected to have such great potential and she was Misaki’s blood? A lot of extra responsibility and pressure was heaped upon her.
Despite said immense responsibility and pressure, Shoko thrived throughout the course of her training and studies. It didn’t take long for Misaki and Tsuna to realize that they had a prodigy on their hands. Shoko’s natural instincts and willingness to listen allowed her to stand out amongst her peers.
Shoko began working for Wild Frontier Wrestling shortly after passing her Exit Exams. Although she was still growing and learning, her work was generally well received. It wouldn’t be long before Shoko transformed into Wild Frontier’s ambassador as she was sent out to other promotions to wrestle their talent and foster working relationships.
That arrangement was beneficial to all parties, for a period of time—
But it was during this time that Shoko first began to develop what would later become her massive ego. It quickly became apparent to her that she was leagues above the “top talent” at most of these promotions. People began to refer to her as “Queen” Sakimoto as an insult. But instead of getting bent out of shape, Shoko simply embraced it.
Shoko would call Wild Frontier Wrestling her home for three years until an incident soured her on the promotion. Shoko was falsely accused of stealing something from another member of the roster. And when the actual culprit was found, the promotion gave Shoko a very insincere apology. Shoko elected to declare herself a freelancer. She made appearances at various promotions for about six months until Final Valkyrie reached out to her. Determination and a change of scenery allowed Shoko to thrive.
The young woman’s adventures in other promotions were spawned by her desire to grow and exert her dominance. Therefore, Shoko began to set her sights on promotions where she could showcase herself and her skills.
Entrance Theme: “Valley of the Light” by SOIL & “PIMP” SESSIONS
Entrance Description: A low murmur emanates from the crowd as the lights dim to a very low level. About fifteen seconds pass before the entryway fills with smoke. Another few moments tick by before voice screams out:
"All Hail the QUEEN!"
The jazzy piano strokes of SOIL & “PIMP” SESSIONS' “Valley of the Light” fill the arena. A solitary spotlight rains down upon the base of the entrance ramp. Five seconds elapse before QUEEN Sakamoto makes her way out from the back. She stands in the spotlight for a couple of moments and adjusts her ring jacket before she treks to the ring. Her pace is slow and there's an arrogance in her demeanor as she moves.
ANNOUNCER: Making her way to the ring, from Niigata, Niigata Prefecture, Japan, weighing in at 130 lbs, lift your eyes and witness...QUUEEEEN SAAAKKAAMMAATTOOOOO!
QUEEN leaps onto the ring apron as she gets close to it. She rests her arms on the top rope for a moment; a few seconds pass before she hops over it. QUEEN strolls around the ring for a bit, but she eventually makes her way to the center. She closes her eyes and spreads her arms in order to allow the audience to view her in all her glory. Afterwards, she makes her way to a neutral corner and removes her ring jacket.

In-Ring Weaknesses:
> Big Crown, Big Head: Shoko’s biggest flaw is that she has a Super Inflated Ego. Based on her age, the amount of time she’s spent in the ring, her lineage, everyone who has hyped her up, and the people she’s faced, Shoko genuinely believes better than most wrestlers.
> Tiny Murderer: While she is capable of breaking down an opponent in a myriad of ways, she’s still a small woman.
> Who Am I?: Shoko is only 24 years old. Truthfully she does know who she is as a person or a wrestler. She just has a minor baseline idea.
