We cut off from the video package as the second verse of Waterparks’ “Tantrum” echoes throughout the Prudential Center! We cut over to the commentary desk with Winter Mae and Trick Morrison!
Winter Mae: We sit here on our FINAL SHOW before Destiny, and we’re about to go out with a bang! So for the last time for a while, welcome everyone…to Monday Night Mayhem! I’m Winter Mae, joined by my excellent partner, Trick Morrison!
Trick Morrison: Tonight is the night! The last time we’ll be seen behind this red brand desk before the biggest show of the year! I’m excited for next weekend, but I’m even more excited for tonight! Stacked card, with a main event that will determine the future of the Gateway Championship as Cassie Lopez takes on Ricky Rodriguez in the Semi-Finals of the tournament for the vacant title!
The crowd was on their feet as Booty Wurk by T-Pain and Joey Galaxy filled the air. Stepping through that curtain would be one participants of tonight's main event, Ricky Rodriguez! Following suit would be his accomplices Big Ass Bobby and Alessa Holloway. Ricky looked to be in a great mood as he danced, in sync, with the music, going down the ramp.
Along the way, he really played it up with the crowd, slapping hands and giving hugs, showing how much he appreciates their support. The trio reached the bottom of the ramp and stopped, Ricky looking at that ring with a smile.
He bolted forward and slid in under the bottom set of ropes while Alessa and Bobby climbed up onto the apron. They ducked into the ring as Ricky popped up to his feet. Alessa leaned through the ropes and was given a microphone before turning around and handing it to Ricky.
Ricky Rodriguez: 'Newwwark! How the hell y'all doin tonight?!'
The mere mention of the town they were in increased the cheers from the crowd that much more.
Ricky Rodriguez: 'We got one hell of a show lined up for y'all wonderful people tonight! Let's see, we got shit like..Thotline Miami and Strike to Kill. Jess Anderson and Leah Aguero. But most importantly..to me, at least..Cassie Lopez versus Ricky Rodriguez in a Semi-Finals Match in the Gateway Championship Tournament..'
Ricky paused for a moment, catching his breath.
Ricky Rodriguez: 'Goddamn, that was a mouthful.'
Laughing out, Ricky shook his head before running his hand through his hair.
Ricky Rodriguez: 'Anyway, like I was sayin. Cassie, she's been on my ass since the first day I stepped through that curtain. She claims that what she's tryinta is to..show me my place.'
His brow lowering, Ricky looked visibly confused by this.
Ricky Rodriguez: 'The fuck does that even mean? Where, exactly, do you think my place is? Beneath you? What are you doin that makes you feel like you're above me? Cause you're carryin Jess's and Summer's bags? Followin at their heels like a lilfuckin dog?
I'm showin up everywhere, Cass. I am on the run of a lifetime. Ima double champion, for fuck's sake. You're a scavenger. Just roamin around, waitin to see what scraps you can pick at. We're gonna see how you do face to face. You gonna keep that same energy?'
A look of disgust grew across the face of Ricky as he shook his head, spitting off to the side.
Ricky Rodriguez: 'Nah..you ain't. When you get me face to face and not from behind? Ima run your fake ass allll over this fuckin ring right here. Think you're gonna show me my place? Nah. Ima show you exactly who I am. I'm gonna advance in this tournament and I will become the next Gateway Champion, period.'
Letting that microphone fall from his hand, he looked to Bobby and to Alessa before nodding his head. And with that, the three of them made their exit from the ring, disappearing to the back.
Match #1: Thotline Miami vs Strike 2 Kill
Vivian Blake: The following tag team contest…is scheduled for one fall!
Crowd: ONE FALL!
Vivian Blake: Introducing first…being accompanied to the ring by Takashi Shinobu…at a combined weight of 351 lbs…the team of Miles Watson and Liam Richardson…Strike! 2! Kill!
And their opponents…at a combined weight of 222 lbs…the team of Cindy Collins and Taylor Gibson…Thotline! Miami!
Winter Mae: These two teams have been going at it ever since their debut!
Trick Morrison: Thotline Miami has the lead on 'em with two wins in a row, but it was never in doubt that Richardson and Watson wouldn’t take that lying down! Let’s see if Strike 2 Kill can even the score here!
Miles Watson and Cindy Collins start the match for their respective teams! The two circle the ring around each other, looking for a good point to start as they stare across the ring at their familiar adversaries! Watson looks to go low, looking to take the powerhouse of Thotline off her feet by going for the leg! Collins is able to avoid him however, sidestepping the oncoming Watson and going for a Basement Dropkick to him while he’s on his hands and knees! Watson is able to telegraph this however, popping up to his knees to swerve the oncoming Kick to the head and leaving Collins on her back on the mat! This leaves him the perfect opening he needs to simply drop on top of her for the pin!
ONE…!
TWO…!
Kick out by Collins! Watson makes sure to leave her no breathing room, with the Technical Gift clasping down on Collins right out of the pin with a Grounded Side Headlock! Collins is in trouble now, with Watson not letting up in his attempts to wear the Vice City Vixen down! She eventually attempts to get the legs up, looking for a Headscissor to escape! But Watson sees this coming, reaching for the legs as they come up to hook them for another pin! This backfires on him however, with Collins grapevining Watson’s arms to roll him into a Crucifix Pin!
ONE…!
TWO…!
Kick out by Watson! The two get to their feet in unison now, going for a Collar-and-Elbow Tie Up to fill the gap between them! It doesn’t take long for a technical genius like Watson to take control of things, going for a Wristlock on Collins! She struggles for a bit, but eventually gains some headway by slipping out of the Wristlock and swooping around Watson for a Waistlock! She goes for a lift, looking to take him down with a German Suplex! But Watson escapes, giving Collins all his weight to stall her power before throwing her down with a Snapmare! He capitalizes, going for a Rear Chinlock on Collins to maintain control and wear her out! Collins won’t be deterred however, with the Vice City Vixen pushing up against Watson’s grip! She makes it to a vertical base, before having the rug pulled from right under her as Watson transitions into a Side Headlock to keep the advantage firmly on his side! Collins pushes back against Watson once again, this time pushing him towards the ropes to bounce him off and across the ring!
Unbeknownst to Collins however, Liam Richardson was able to come in as Watson hit the ropes on the opposite side of the ring, getting the blind tag! Watson returns, leaping over a Pop-Up Powerbomb attempt from Collins before leaving her to get turned inside out by a Buckshot Lariat from Richardson! He goes for the pin!
ONE…!
TWO…!
Kick out by Collins! Richardson slowly gets her to her feet, before launching a bevy of strikes onto her, looking for London’s Calling! He goes for Enziguri, but Collins is able to reverse it, catching one of his legs and getting him in the Wheelbarrow Position before hitting a Wheelbarrow German Suplex! Richardson is laid out on the mat as Collins brings her head up and looks around, still not certain of where she is in the ring as she looks for her corner! She eventually finds it, making a long crawl over to Taylor Gibson as she looks for the tag! Richardson makes it up to his feet now, grabbing hold of Collins’ ankle to prevent her from tagging in her fresh partner! Collins tries to resist, but Richardson anchors her down to the mat, going for a Kneebar! Collins is in pain now as Richardson stretches the ligaments of her knee and lower leg to the limit! All the while, she looks face to face with Gibson in the corner, who’s repeatedly telling her to keep going and that she’s got this! The support seems to be enough to get Collins in gear as she uses her free foot to push a gap between Richardson’s legs before pushing out of the hold! She jumps over to the corner, tagging in Taylor Gibson!
Gibson rushes into the ring like a house of fire, immediately clubbing Richardson with a Lariat! He pops up to his feet, only to be faced with a Dropkick from Gibson! The two get to their feet in unison now, with Richardson looking to regain momentum with a Lariat of his own! But Gibson ducks underneath it, wrenching the swinging arm in the process and hitting a Hook Kick to the midsection that sends Richardson to his knees! She hits the ropes now, hitting him with a Shining Wizard! She waits for Richardson to make it to his feet, before looking for a Superkick! But Richardson sidesteps the shot, before sending Kick to Gibson’s midsection and lifting her up to hit FOR OUR MAJESTY!! MODIFIED BRAINBUSTER CONNECTS!! He goes for the pin, with Watson blocking off an interference attempt from Collins!
ONE…!
TWO…!
THREE!!
Vivian Blake: The winners of this match…Strike! 2! Kill!
Winter Mae: And just like that, the score is even! What a performance from these two teams!
Trick Morrison: I smell a rubber match on the horizon, and when it happens it’s bound to be epic!
Richardson and Watson leave the ring, celebrating up the ramp as Gibson and Collins sit in the ring looking disappointed.
WINNERS: STRIKE 2 KILL (VIA PINFALL)
The scene opens with a close-up of the “Met Life Stadium” sign. Just then, the camera pulls back to reveal Reina Mendoza standing in front of it. Wearing a nice ensemble of a black collared blouse, high-waisted cream-colored pants, and oxide brown patent leather ankle boots, and showcasing her National Championship belt over her shoulder, the Latina giantess begins to to address the camera.
Reina Mendoza: The time is nearly upon us.
Destiny. The biggest show of the year, packed in two nights. Many have dreamed to compete on this stage and then go on to make that dream a reality. And this year, I, the Undisputed National Champion, puts her name on this show’s legacy as I put my title on the line against you, Thea Erzili. And it will be taking place in this renowned stadium.
Reina then points to the stadium to drive her point across.
Reina Mendoza: Now I can easily register you as another pest primed for me to stomp you into nothingness. But let’s cut that bullshit out. You a far beyond being some pest, Thea. But the thing that concerns me though is that you’re not thinking much of me. It’s like I should convince myself to just give you this National Championship only because of what you’re doing, which has been quite impressive if you ask me. Match after match you have been putting down the competition, becoming stronger and more confident within each decision. I’m hoping another thing you have gained Thea is intelligence because what’s waiting for you at Destiny is not going to be JUST SOME MATCH! And the one whom you THINK you have the answer for can and WILL destroy ANY plan that you have with just one strike!
Reina tosses her hair to the side as she takes a moment to collect her thoughts before refocusing on the camera.
Reina Mendoza: To hell with our resumes. None of that matters but what will be going on in a few short weeks. The way I see it, the two of us are on similar paths in our careers. And Destiny, will be a significant chapter, with one of us getting the satisfaction we want. And unlike all the other opponents you have faced, Thea, you’re going to be struggling like you’ve NEVER struggled before. Because to you, this is a whole lot more than beating me for this National Championship; THE Championship of Mayhem. This is about one thing; SURVIVAL. Those who have faced me have never been the same again. Those who have been touched by my hands of destruction will feel the aftershocks long after. So Thea, you can attempt to undermine me if you like. But the reality is going to hurt a whole lot more, and at Destiny, I. Will. Hurt. You!!!!
I am still the same imposing, dangerous juggernaut that has walked into Mayhem, Thea. But I have grown a lot since then. I am as passionate than I have ever been. My strength and wisdom are larger than the amount of time I’ve dedicated to get there and that means my ways in torturing you is now limitless and guaranteed make any training you have exposed yourself to look like a “rabbit out of a hat” “break glass when needed” scenario. Most of all, Thea, I want to thank you for this; you’ve given me more inspiration in seeing that you don’t walk out of Met Life Stadium on your own free will. And to you, that makes me more ruthless than you ever can imagine because you need to remember, there will be a revised quest being played out at Destiny….but it’s NOT yours!
Reina then walks closer to the camera to focus on her at chest level, more to get a better view of the extremely intense demeanor she is carrying as she looks into the camera.
Reina Mendoza: DEFINITELY not yours!
She takes a few moments to look intently at the camera before reaching out to the camera with her large hand to cover it into black.
The scene changes over to the Zion Wrestling Champion Angel Kash looking around in her skybox. She's trying to spot a water fountain, which she eventually finds. Kash goes to press on the fountain to get it to spit water, but it doesn't work.
Angel Kash: "What the--?"
Angel presses on the fountain a few more times, but still nothing.
Angel Kash: "Ugh, fuckin' New Jersey... terrible plumbing."
The Trillion Dollar Princess exhales in frustration.
Angel Kash: "Bottled it is, then. I hate this state."
On that, Kash leaves the room, presumably to find a cooler or a vending machine. Maybe a sink. Who knows? Once the door is heard shutting, the camera pans over to a locker door that opens. This reveals the Scrap-Iron Scarecrow Faye Brown, much to the delight of the audience. Faye crouches down and fixes the fountain, by literally turning a knob to the left.
Faye Brown: "Heh-heh-heh-heh-heh-heh."
Faye pushes on the fountain, and all of a sudden, it starts spitting water. Brown takes a drink before also leaving Angel's locker room. However, after the door closes, Faye locks it with a copy key. Brown puts a second key inside a plant next to the door before putting the copy key under it. As Faye apparently leaves the scene of the extremely petty crime, the view fades to the ring.
Match #2: ARIA vs Hana Kaneko
Vivian Blake: The following contest…is scheduled for one fall!
Crowd: ONE FALL!
Vivian Blake: Introducing first…from Chandler, Arizona…weighing in at 125 lbs…ARIA!
And her opponent…from Fukuoka, Japan…weighing in at 143 lbs…Hana! Kaneko!
Winter Mae: Hana Kaneko going up against a debuting ARIA tonight! Let’s see how she does against her…interesting opponent!
Trick Morrison: ARIA’s a Detective’s Assistant who’s always had a secret passion for the sport of professional wrestling! Went to Japan to train and prove herself, but she’s returned to the States to bring what she’s learned to Zion Wrestling! Let’s see what this newcomer can do!
ARIA and Kaneko circle the ring around each other, looking for a way to start on one another! ARIA steps forward first offering out a hand to Kaneko to show respect before the match! Kaneko tentatively accepts, giving ARIA a look of skepticism that she just returns with a smile! Kaneko puts a hand up from there, looking to initiate a Test of Strength with ARIA! She accepts, clasping onto Kaneko’s right hand, before taking the other and beginning to push! Kaneko is able to get the strength advantage early on, inching ARIA closer to the ground as she pushes back on her! ARIA refuses to hit the mat in earnest however, getting on her toes and arching her back to prevent from being laid out! Kaneko tries to get ahead of this however, taking a boot to ARIA’s midsection and pushing down in order to get her shoulders to the mat!
ONE…!
TWO…!
Left shoulder up by ARIA! Kaneko refuses to let this stand however, pushing the shoulder back down to the mat in order to start the pin attempt anew!
ONE…!
TWO…!
Right shoulder up by ARIA now! Kaneko seems to get a bit frustrated now, with ARIA beginning to get a bit of steam back as she pushes her legs up and against her opponent’s midsection! She pushes Kaneko up using her legs, before launching her back to her feet on the mat, using the momentum to launch herself up onto the top rope and go for Backflip Arm Drag! The crowd are in awe over the hyperathelticism of ARIA as she and Kaneko get to their feet! They charge towards one another, with ARIA being the one to take advantage with a Bicycle Knee Strike! She follows up immediately with a Spinning Backfist, before jumping up and hitting an Enziguri! Kaneko staggers back between the ropes, but she manages to bounce back, using the top rope to regain a vertical base before clobbering ARIA with a Discus Lariat! Kaneko with the pin!
ONE…!
TWO…!
Kick out by ARIA! Kaneko gets her to her feet, looking to finish things with the Blade Stopper! ARIA dodges the Rainmaker however, transitioning seamlessly into a German Suplex! Kaneko makes it back up to her knees before ARIA runs up and hits J4A!! JUSTICE 4 ALL!! RUNNING KNEE STRIKE CONNECTS!! She goes for the pin!
ONE…!
TWO…!
THREE!!
Vivian Blake: The winner of this match…ARIA!!
Winter Mae: Huge debut win by ARIA tonight!
Trick Morrison: Did you see her out there?! What an athlete! Amazing performance!
ARIA celebrates, blowing kisses to the crowd and waving to them as we fade out!
WINNER: ARIA (VIA PINFALL)
Jess Anderson is walking backstage as Lily Lopez is at the end of the hall. The rookie's eyes lower and she runs down the hallway to catch up with Anderson.
Lily Lopez: JESS!
Lily catches up and grabs Jess's arm and spins her around. Anderson attempts to slap Lily instinctively but Lopez ducks it and takes a step back from her former friend.
Lily Lopez: What was that...a few weeks ago. You owe me at least that.
Lopez's bottom lip quivers a bit, she's clearly still bothered by what happened between her and Jess.
Lily Lopez: YOU are the one who told me to go solo and chase my dreams, so I don't want to hear about it being a jealousy thing. Seriously, what happened?
Jessica snarls at her former protégé, and ex tag team partner.
Jessica Anderson: I owe you nothing. I've done more than enough for you.
She shakes her head in disappointment.
Lily Lopez: You're right. You have. And I appreciated every single thing you did. I let you know as much. But...the Jess that cost me the Youtube championship? That isn't the Jess that I was mentored by. Something happened.
Lily pauses, appearing to be in deep thought.
Lily Lopez: Clearly there's some issue here, and I'm willing to put it all on the line to get to the bottom of it.
Jess raises an interested eyebrow.
Lily Lopez: Our match at Destiny? Let's up the ante. A ladder match. And hanging high above the ring? My full time contract. If you climb the ladder and grab it, you can rip it up and rid Zion of me forever....
Jessica, since the conversation had begun, has shown no interest and an overwhelming keenness to get away. However, it is Lily's proposition which brings about a change in her demeanour. She raises her gaze to meet Lily, waiting to hear what she has to say.
Lily Lopez: But if I win? Not only do I keep my contract with Zion, but you have to give me an explanation. And not just something silly, no, you will have to meet me in a ring at a future show, and tell me in front of the entire world exactly why you did what you did. Truthfully. Entirely. Do we have a deal?
Lily reluctantly extends her hand towards Jess. She's wearing an orange and blue friendship bracelet that Jess had given her months ago.
Jessica stares at the bracelet for a few moments, seemingly taken aback by it. She gulps, almost tearing up. Eventually she manages to shelve her emotions and continue.
Jessica Anderson: We have a deal. But just know that it didn't have to come to this.
Lily Lopez: I guess I will know...
Lily, in a moment of confidence steps right up into Jess's face. She maintains eye contact with her former friend.
Lily Lopez: After I beat you and earn that answer. Best of luck....friend.
Lily turns around and stomps away down the hallway, leaving Jess there with a sneer on her lips and tears in her eyes.
Théa Erzili (VO): Je parle de Destinée depuis plusieurs semaines.
The camera cuts away from ringside, to...what, exactly? It isn’t entirely clear right away; panning around, it’s a series of twisting tubes, with a bright gold substance starting to pour from the top, down thru all the twists and turns. There’s no sign of the self-proclaimed Femme Destinée, however; even her voice seems further aware than normal. So...we focus on the substance, pouring through this structure.
Théa Erzili (VO): For weeks, I’ve told you about Destiny, about Fate, about what is written...and how it cannot be changed, how it cannot be fought. I’m curious, Mademoiselle Mendoza: have you been listening? Have you been watching, have you paid attention...as your compatriots, your superiors, those you hope to outlast and overtake...tried to change Fate? Have you paid attention, as every attempt...has fallen short?
As if the wind began to blow directly into the cylinder, the speed of the substance pouring through the structure picks up with a notable hissing. It makes a big loop at first, then a couple smaller ones as it flows downward, and Théa’s speech continues.
Théa Erzili (VO): Or have you bothered? For the best part of the last three months, while I have been making statement after statement, while I have been beating everyone in my path...hm, où étais-tu, ma chérie? Was the ill-fated war with NFW so exhausting, you needed to leave “your show,” “your company,” your “premier championnat” to the wind for weeks? Was the pressure of carrying le Championnat National a little too heavy for la Reine Amazone?
A long, tall loop this time, followed by a quick few curves, fill with the gold substance, as Théa continues her speech, her voice wavering for just a moment at the word “pressure.” From wherever the self-proclaimed Masterpiece is, she finds herself scoffing before speaking up again.
Théa Erzili (VO): N'ayez pas peur, Mademoiselle Mendoza--whether it was fear, fatigue, or frivolity that led to your reign being defined by extended absences, your time is running out. Your time as La Championne Nationale has just over a week...before Fate intervenes, before mon destin is finally realized. You...and your reign have been living on borrowed time, Mademoiselle, and that time...is ticking away, the sands pour through that hourglass, until eventually you have to come face to face with La Femme Destinée...and Fate takes its natural course...
Two more small loops fill with the gold, before the pouring stops, as if the structure it were filling had been completely filled--and, abruptly, it’s kicked over to its side: in a somewhat sloppy script, the word “Destiny” is written in clear tubing, now filled with a gleaming gold, and Théa finally steps into the scene, taking a seat right on this container. Unlike usual, she’s not dressed for competition in this video--rather, she’s in a flowing gold dress with a long slit up one leg.
Théa Erzili: Au Destiny, Mademoiselle Mendoza, je vais t'apprendre la leçon que j'ai enseignée à tout le monde en ton absence...I’m going to teach you about the inevitability...of Destiny, and how there could not be a more fitting name for the show we finally meet. Au Destiny, je vais te montrer la vérité...
A real, genuine smile graces the Louisianais’ face for once--the inherent arrogance within someone who would call themselves a Masterpiece is still there, but she seems to be genuinely happy tonight, as she finishes her thought.
Théa Erzili: You...have nothing...that will ever...outshine a Masterpiece.
Despite not getting to her feet, Théa strikes her usual pose, head turned up to the sky, her hand raised and fingers curled to point to herself...and the camera lingers on that image--a posing Théa, dressed as formally as Zion has ever seen her, sat atop a gleaming “Destiny”--before eventually fading to black.
Match #3: Leah Aguero vs Jessica Anderson
What happens here can’t be referred to as a match, but rather a straight up mugging, with Aguero immediately hitting Anderson with a Yakuza Kick right off the bell before battering her with strikes in the corner! She gets her back up to her feet, throwing her to the mat with a Michinoku Driver! Aguero gets Anderson up again, hitting her with a Powerbomb, before lifting her back up and hitting her with a second Powerbomb, before pulling her up one last time for a Sit Out Powerbomb! She backs off from Anderson at the referee’s instruction, who goes to check if Anderson is even still conscious after the onslaught from Aguero! She pulls Anderson to her hands and knees by her hair, laying stiff Kicks across her face, each one more intense than the last! The War Queen finally gets done playing with her food, throwing her into the corner before hitting a CANNONBALL!! She waits for Anderson to make it up to her hands and knees once again, before dropping her with the ENDGAME!! PUNT KICK CONNECTS!! She isn’t finished however, getting Anderson to her feet before hitting DROP THE BOMB!! INVERTED PILEDRIVER CONNECTS!! Aguero with the pin!
ONE…!
TWO…!
THREE!!
Vivian Blake: The winner of this match…Leah! Aguero!
Winter Mae: What a beating from the War Queen!
Trick Morrison: Well that’s what Anderson gets from sticking her nose in Aguero’s business! She should’ve—wait what’s going on here…
Leah Aguero stands in the ring, being joined shortly after by Jed Coffey and Leah Aguero. Just then, they direct their attention to the rampway, where Las Olvidadas are standing, staring at them once again! The two teams talk some trash to one another from across the arena, with the confrontation being cut off by an arriving Chris Mosh, Summer Page, and Cassie Lopez! The three barrage the Second City Riot Squad, laying into them with strikes and stomps! The Shieldmaidens see this happening from the stage. Opting to back out and let the chaos ensue!Chris hands Summer a microphone as Cassie is checking on Jessica who is still out of it from her match with Leah. Cassie yells at the medical staff to check on Jessica as she gets back up to her feet.
“Spoiled” Summer Page: Didn’t I tell you? I am pretty sure I told all of you that Angel being the only one in the Privileged Elite to pull her own weight around here because we all know in our heart of hearts that the Privileged Elite is the true force of not only Mayhem or Fusion but the entire Zion Wrestling. And while we have been carrying this company these low class Chicago miscreants have had it so easy since winning the Zion Wrestling Trios Championships. This is the classic tale of the championship making the champion instead of the champions elevating the championships to new heights that it had never seen. It is not like they had much to do to elevate the championships even higher.
Summer looks down at the champions with a disgusted look on her face.
“Spoiled” Summer Page:You three are literally the first ever Zion Wrestling Trios Champions, you literally set the damn bar anywhere you damn well pleased, and you three couldn’t even do that. Second City Riot Squad literally is utterly pathetic. So when the three of you come to I hope, want, and need each of you to feel even a little bit of anger to show the rest of the world that you give a damn about these championships that you have managed to diminish and your actual careers. Chris, Cassie, and I hope you three can muster enough testicular fortitude to accept this as a challenge for us to save those Trios Champions from the despair of being in your possession. Whether you like it or not, we always get what we want because we live a life of privilege.
Summer throws the microphone down on Leah as S&M by Rhianna begins playing as Privileged Elite and exits the ring. Chris and Cleopatra drape an arm from a groggy Jessica over their shoulders as the five of them head up the entrance way.
WINNER: LEAH AGUERO (VIA PINFALL)
"Slave to the Grind' by Halestorm plays and Katrina Lopez walks out on the stage with a microphone in her hand. The crowd boos her heavily and she just rolls her eyes.
Katrina Lopez: You might want to pipe down because I have an important announcement to make!
The crowd boos louder for a moment and then quietly trails off as Katrina waits impatiently for them.
Katrina Lopez: A few weeks ago I made the decision to move an entire team from Mayhem to Fusion. I stand by that decision. But it got me thinking about the future. About mixing it up a little more. As some of you may know, we have a little bit of a break from the ring coming after Destiny. But the office will NOT be taking a break. Two weeks after Destiny, we will be holding a draft!
The crowd reacts positively to the news with applause. Katrina seems annoyed still, but plays up to the applause sarcastically.
Katrina Lopez: I want to make clear that everyone on the roster will be a part of the draft pool, except the people who are holding our Mayhem and Fusion brand exclusive championships. So if you don't walk out of Destiny with a title in your hands, get ready. You might be moving to a new show. It's time to shake things up a bit. After Destiny, everything is free game.
Katrina smiles and brings the mic down as "Slave to the Grind" plays again and she exits the stage.
The scene changes over once again to the Trillion Dollar Princess, Angel Kash, complete with a water bottle since she still believes her water fountain to be faulty. She had taken a walk around the arena, title and all, to clear her head a little following her fountain trouble. Kash gets to her skybox door and tries to open it... however her face goes from fairly neutral to absolute shock.
Angel Kash: "You gotta be kidding me..."
Kash shakes her head no before looking around for a key. She spots the plant next to her door and looks inside it and spots one.
Angel Kash: "OK, good. Just where I placed it."
Angel puts the key into the doorknob... only for the key to not turn.
Angel Kash: "Uuuugh... what even? What even's happening here?"
Kash takes the key out of the knob and tosses it behind her before looking inside the plant again. She spots another key and pulls it out. This key, Kash inserts... aaaaand turn. Nope. And tur--not yet.
Angel Kash: "Fuckin' DAMN IT!"
Kash jiggles the key, finally getting it to turn and unlock the door.
Angel Kash: "FINALLY! Christ!"
The Zion Wrestling Champion slams the door, not even taking the key out of the knob. She presumably goes to sit down to calm down. However, from behind a crate re-emerges the Killshot Kid Faye Brown! She takes hold of the key and re-locks the door. Except now, Faye just takes all the keys away and places a chair right under the doorknob.
Faye Brown: "Heh-heh-heh-heh-heh-heh."
Ever the sneaky one, Brown once again leaves the scene of the crime as the view fades back to the ring.
Match #4: The Bisque Dolls vs Hot Sawse
This match doesn’t even last a full two minutes, with Mikey II Spicey being immediately laid out by a GUILLOTINE DROP from Kathryn Sallow!! She tags in Cathryn Sallow, who immediately takes to the top rope and invites Mikey to his feet! She drops down onto him, hitting FALLING BODY!! METEORA CONNECTS!! She tags in Kathryn once again, who leaps off the top rope for SPIRIT’S FLIGHT!! PHOENIX SPLASH CONNECTS!! She tags in Cathryn Sallow again, who leaps from the top rope with REAPER’S ELBOW!! The Sweatmaker is watching this onslaught from the apron, opting to just slowly and quietly step away from his corner, taking off through the crowd so as to not draw too much attention to himself! The Dolls finally put an end to Mikey II Spicey, hitting him with SHATTERED PORCELAIN!! Pin by the Dolls!
ONE…!
TWO…!
THREE!
Vivian Blake: The winners of this match…The Bisque! Dolls!
Winter Mae: Definitely an…impressive win by The Dolls tonight!
Trick Morrison: Impressive is a bit of an understatement there, Winter!
Winter Mae: And apparently Katrina Lopez would agree with you! The Dolls have been granted a match for the vacant Zion Tag Team Titles! The Bisque Dolls will take on Sofia Hilton and Ravenna Rojas for the belts!
The Dolls stand over their fallen prey as we fade to a commercial break!
WINNERS: THE BISQUE DOLLS (VIA PINFALL)
Lily catches up and grabs Jess's arm and spins her around. Anderson attempts to slap Lily instinctively but Lopez ducks it and takes a step back from her former friend.
Lily Lopez: What was that...a few weeks ago. You owe me at least that.
Lopez's bottom lip quivers a bit, she's clearly still bothered by what happened between her and Jess.
