The opening video for Fusion ends as we cut to a sold out Mizzou Arena! The Columbia fans are ranting and raving, clearly ready for a show, as we cut to the announcers desk, where we see Winter Mae sitting alone!

Match #1: Melody Slayton vs Zara Ivory

And her opponent…being accompanied to the ring by Marley Divata…from Richmond, Virginia…weighing in at 131 lbs…Zara! Ivory!



The bell rings and these two proceed to try and lock up! Things quickly go awry for Slayton, however, with Ivory immediately wringing her arm for a Wristlock! She quickly capitalizes, pulling Slayton in and dropping her to the mat with a Short Arm Clothesline! Ivory drags her to her feet, getting her up and in position for Vertical Suplex! But Slayton reverses, slipping Ivory’s grip and landing behind her before pushing her towards the ropes and trapping her with an O’Connor Roll!

Kick out by Ivory! Slayton looks to capitalize, rolling through from the pin attempt and looking for a German Suplex! But Ivory reverses, throwing Slayton to the mat mid-lift with a Snapmare! Slayton immediately gets up to her feet, rushing towards Ivory to regain control over the match up! Ivory gets a Headlock on her, but it does little to derail her momentum, with the Scrappy Songbird backing her into the ropes! Ivory bounces off, going to the other side of the ring and hitting the ropes! She returns, only for Slayton to catch her off guard with a Drop Down! Ivory hits the ropes and returns again, this time to a LeapFrog! She returns one last time to see Slayton hunched over, clearly waiting for her! Ivory uses this to her advantage, using her athleticism to roll over Slayton’s back and avoid an attack! Slayton turns around, rushing towards Ivory again, but she gets caught with an Arm Drag! Slayton gets to her feet again, this time getting another Arm Drag for her trouble! Slayton gets up again, this time trying to get the jump on Ivory with a Dropkick! But she catches the legs, sending Slayton down to the mat backfirst before hitting a Double Footstomp to her abdomen! Ivory with the pin!

Kick out by Slayton! Ivory gets to her feet, beckoning Slayton to do the same before running the ropes and attempting a Curb Stomp! Slayton reverses, however, popping her head up just in time to launch Ivory in the air and catch her in her arms as she comes down! She throws Ivory to the mat with a Scoop Slam, doing a cartwheel once she hits the ground and getting her to a seated position in the process! She jumps up, catching Ivory on the side of the head with a Dropkick! Slayton drags Ivory towards the ropes, climbing out onto the apron before popping over the top rope to go for Flight Risk! But Ivory reverses the Slingshot DDT, catching her and keeping her in his grasp before throwing the young rookie over the top rope and onto the apron with a Back Body Drop! Ivory climbs onto the apron now, getting Slayton to her feet before dropping her on the apron with IN A DAZE!! TIGER SUPLEX ON THE APRON!! Ivory gets Slayton back into the ring before going for the pin!

Kick out by Slayton! Ivory is in shock now, thinking that the devastating move should’ve certainly been it! She takes to the top rope regardless, waiting for Slayton to make it to her feet before looking for Obliteration! But Slayton catches her out of midair with a Superkick, the impact of which sends Ivory to a seated position on the mat! Slayton hits the ropes catching her with THE FULL EFFECT 2.0!! SHINING WIZARD CONNECTS STIFF!! She hooks the leg, sitting across her chest for the pin!

She looks over to the laid out Slayton, seemingly not thinking the nasty spill is enough! She takes to the top rope, launching off to hit VIOLENCE CAUSES SILENCE!!! FROG SPLASH CONNECTS!! And his opponent…from Scarborough, Ontario, Canada…weighing in at 223 lbs…Solomon! Graham!



Graham starts things off slow against a usually fast-paced performer like Kash, enticing him into a Collar-And-Elbow Tie Up before quickly snatching him into a Side Headlock! Kash tries to swing momentum into his favor, lifting Graham up in an attempt at a Belly-To-Back Suplex off the grapple! But Graham has it scouted, sending a loaded punch to the top of Kash’s head in order to get down, before taking Kash to the mat in earnest with a Takeover to keep it from happening again! Kash is in trouble, but he’s eventually able to find a way to escape, working his way back to his feet before pushing Graham to the ropes in an attempt to bounce him off! Graham remains stubborn however, with the veteran grappler sliding to the mat to halt all the momentum, keeping the Headlock intact! His first mistake comes when he attempts to move things along, transitioning his grip on Kash into a Vertical Suplex! He tries to lift him up, but Kash reverses, taking him to the mat with the Emerald Flowsion! Graham pops up to his feet, rushing after Kash only to be met with an Exploder Suplex! He gets to his feet again, this time trying to get the jump on Kash with a Lariat! But Kash ducks underneath, hooking that swinging arm of Graham’s around his neck before taking him to the mat with a Blue Thunder Bomb! He keeps Graham trapped for the pin!

Kick out by Graham! Kash tries to keep things going now, attempting to drag Graham to his feet! But Graham quickly counters this, sweeping Kash’s hands away before rocking his jaw with a Forearm! The impact of the shot sends Kash hunching over, leaving an opening for Graham to hit the ropes and send another fully audible shot to Kash’s head with a Knee Trembler that sends him fully to the mat! Graham capitalizes now, hitting the ropes once again and jumping up to hit Kash with a Leg Drop! From there he rolls forward and back to his feet, turning around to immediately follow up the attack with a Knee Drop right between the eyes! Kash recoils, getting to his feet and favoring his forehead! However, this does more to help Graham than anything else, getting Kash in position and dropping him with a Vertical Suplex! Graham with the pin!

Kick out by Kash! Graham gets Kash to his feet, looking to finish things off by cinching in the Grahamlock! But Kash reverses, throwing Graham to the mat with a Snapmare before he could get the hold on in earnest! Graham gets to his feet, only to be met with a Kick to the midsection by Kash! He’s hunched over, leaving an opening for Kash to hit an Axe Kick! Graham's head pops up like a piece of well done toast, with Kash hitting him with a Bicycle Pump Kick that sends him to the mat! Graham rolls back to his knees, immediately trying to get to his feet! But Kash cuts him off, jumping over him to hit a Front Flip Backstabber! Kash with the pin!

Kick out by Graham! Kash is ready to finish things off now, rushing towards Graham as he gets to his feet! But Graham cuts him off now, catching him with an Elbow Strike! He hits another, then another, with the crowd starting to count along as he starts up the Court of Miracles! He spins around, looking for that tenth fatal Elbow, but Kash catches him mid-spin, getting him in a Ripcord position before pulling him in for FUCK YOU AND ALL YOUR FRIENDS!! RIPCORD BICYCLE KNEE CONNECTS!! Kash isn’t done however, running the ropes just as Graham gets to his knees for GOING THE DISTANCE!! LAST SHOT GETS HIM!! Kash with the pin!

Kash stands over Graham, looking out at the sea of middle fingers being pointed at him and cracking a slight smile as we fade out!

Match #3: Maki Megumi vs Jay Broni



Megumi doesn’t give Jay Broni a modicum of a chance in this one, running into his corner right off the bell and catching him with a Yakuza Kick! She throws him out of the corner, running up and landing a Knee Strike before throwing him to the mat with a Powerbomb! This brief burst of violence from Megumi does little to satiate her however, as she can still see Jay Broni move afterwards! She decides to crank things up, running up and catching him with a stiff Big Boot before getting him to his feet and landing a picture perfect Exploder Suplex! She gets to her feet and looks down at Jay Broni, who despite everything still has some motion going in him! Megumi decides to put an end to him, pulling out her bag of green tea powder and getting a good amount on her hands and strapping in RISE OF THE DEVIL!! MANDIBLE CLAW IS IN!! Broni struggles for a bit before falling completely motionless! The referee calls for the bell! This one is over!

Ding Dong Uno and Olivia Nightshade start things off for their respective teams! Uno tries to run towards Olivia, jumping over to her to try and get the first move on her! But Olivia catches him out of midair, spiking him to the mat with a Big Boot! She gets Uno to his feet, throwing him to the mat with a Bridging Fallaway Slam! She rolls through getting Uno to his feet again before throwing him down again, this time with a Scoop Slam! Olivia tags in Ravyn, who pops over the ropes and sends a stomp to Uno’s head! He tries getting up, but Ravyn is already back on him, dropping him with a Curb Stomp! Ding Dong Dos tries to intervene now, only to be met with a Spear from Ravyn! She redirects her attention to Uno, getting him to the top rope and tagging in Olivia! They come together with Uno on the top rope, hitting him with BLACK MOON FALLING!! DOUBLE MOONSAULT SIDESLAM CONNECTS!! Nightshade Sisters with the pin!

Addams approaches Crawford, attempting to start things off by grappling! Crawford thinks better of this, however, dropping low and pulling down Addams with an Arm Drag to take control of the match for herself! She keeps hold on Addam’s arm now, wearing her down by bending backwards! Addams struggles for a bit, but eventually gets back into it, using her free arm to take Crawford to the mat with a Snapmare! She immediately takes control of the match now, trapping Crawford in a Cross Armbar! Crawford is in trouble now, but she manages to find a potential escape route, shifting her weight over and getting Addams’ shoulders to the mat as gets on top and grabs her with her free arm!

Addams kicks out, immediately getting her legs around Crawford’s head for a Triangle Choke in the process! Crawford is in even more trouble now, as Addams has the hold locked in tight! She eventually finds a way to escape, moving her legs over and landing a foot on the bottom rope, prompting the official to pull Addams away! Addams gets Crawford back to her feet, running the ropes and looking for a Thrust Kick! But Crawford reverses, ducking underneath before catching Addams with an Enzu Lariat! She immediately capitalizes, jumping up and hitting her with a Standing Moonsault! She takes to the top rope now, launching off to hit a Swanton Bomb! Crawford with the pin again!

Addams sees this, immediately bringing Crawford right back down with a Knee to the head! The shot rocks her jaw, leaving Crawford with a dazed look in her eye as Addams gets her to her feet! Matthews and Nelson circle the ring around each other, each one thinking of a way that they can start this match out in their favor! Matthews tries to go in first, looking to grapple with Nelson! But Nelson quickly rebuffs this attempt, quickly taking Matthews backfirst to the mat with a Double Leg Takedown before laying into him with a set of vicious shots to the head! Matthews is eventually able to ward Nelson off, before getting to his feet! Nelson gets up as well, rushing Matthews and looking for an Elbow Strike almost immediately! Matthews dodges this however, dropping low to take Nelson’s shoulders to the mat with a Schoolboy Roll Up!

Kick out by Nelson! The two get to their feet, turning around and facing one another, stopping as they see the other ready to attack! They back away, circling the ring around each other once again! This time with Nelson getting the surprising advantage with a Side Headlock! He takes Matthews down with the Takeover, but this doesn’t stand for long! Matthews gets the Headscissors, using them to roll to his feet and bring Matthews up into position! He lifts him up, looking for a Bucklebomb, Nelson slips Matthews’ grip, landing behind Matthews and catching him with a Bicycle Kick when he turns around! Matthews falls back, leaning into the ropes as Nelson approaches again! He lays into Matthews hitting him with strike after strike as Matthews is now hanging halfway out of the ring through the middle rope! The official breaks things up finally, telling Nelson to back up so that Matthews can escape from the ropes! Nelson acquiesces to the referee’s message, only so that he can hit the ropes, returning to launch over the top rope and onto Matthews with a Leg Lariat! Matthews slumps down to the floor at ringside as Nelson lands on his feet, staggering over to the barricade so he can hype himself up with the crowd!

Matthews tries to make his way back to his feet, only for Matthews to cut him off with a Forearm to the midsection! He continues his attack, looking to throw Matthews into the steel steps! But he counters this, hopping up to the top of the steps instead and landing a Moonsault to Nelson! Matthews throws him into the ring, before Springboarding off the top rope to hit a Diving Elbow Drop! Matthews with the pin!

Nelson kicks out! Matthews slowly gets back to his feet, still favoring the head after that hellacious Leg Lariat! He tries to make the climb up to the top rope, looking for an aerial move of some sort, but Nelson is able to get up in time, sending a shot to Matthews’ back and getting him in position before throwing him to the mat with a Sit Out Powerbomb! He gets Matthews up again, this time looking to throw him out of the ring with a Powerbomb! Matthews is having none of this however, slipping Nelson’s grip and taking his shoulders to the mat with a Sunset Flip Powerbomb!

Nelson reverses, getting a pin of his own as he sits across Matthews’ chest! He grabs the ropes for extra leverage!

Kick out by Matthews! Nelson gets Matthews to his feet, but is quickly pushed away with a boot to the midsection! He hits the ropes now, looking for the Reign of Thunder! But Nelson dodges the stomp, taking Matthews from behind and throwing him to the mat with a German Suplex! Matthew rolls back up to his knees, prompting Nelson to get him up and throw him out of the ring through the middle rope! Nelson is ready to fly now, hitting the ropes as Matthews gets up and going for a Suicide Dive! But Matthews reverses, hitting Nelson with a Superkick just as his head peeks out of the ropes! Nelson is left hanging on the middle rope now, with Matthews getting to the apron and pulling him out to hit him with a Falcon Arrow on the apron! He rolls Matthews back into the ring, going for the pin!

Kick out by Nelson! Matthews is ready to finish now, taking to the top rope and waiting for Nelson to make it to his feet, before going for a Diving High Knee! Nelson rolls out of the way of the signature however, getting the jump on Matthews by grabbing him from behind and ramming his shoulder straight into the ring post through the ropes! He gets Matthews on his shoulder now, running him across the ring and throwing him into the turnbuckles with SILENT MAJORITY!! LAWN DART CONNECTS!! Nelson with the pin!

Kick out by Matthews! Nelson is done playing with his prey now, waiting for Matthews to get to his knees before hitting the ropes and going for The Seventh Heaven! The Back Elbow fails to connect however, with Matthews ducking underneath and popping up to his feet! Nelson comes back at him, but Matthews nails him with a Kick to the midsection, before hitting him with ONE SHOT, ONE KILL!! PEDIGREE CONNECTS!! Matthews with the pin!

Alex Lawson: The winner of this match…Chris! Matthews!

Matthews stands over the fallen Nelson, finding a nearby camera and looking straight into it to proclaim the same fate to the NFW contestants that share the Ultimate Battleground with him come Tuesday Night! We go to a commercial break!

WINNER: CHRIS MATTHEWS (VIA PINFALL)

The lights go out. The haunting ballad of “Lux Aeterna” begins to play. As the song plays the lights don’t come back on, the haunting ballad continues to play. Finally the fans are given relief as the lights in the arena come back to life. Already standing in the ring Zachary Porter wearing a leather jacket. Intense focus can be read on his face. With microphone in hand, draws it to his mouth.

Zachary Porter: “What’s up, Missouri?”

There is a mixed reaction from the fans inside the Mizzou Arena. On one hand there are fans of Zach Porter in the arena but on the other hand they are near Chicago, the home turf of New Frontier Wrestling. NFW loyalists made sure to pack the building. He doesn’t allow the mixed reaction to deter him from what needs to be said.

Zachary Porter: “I get it. All of you New Frontier faithful don’t want to watch your precious company burn to ashes. I get it. I am no stranger to loss. I lost one of my businesses as well. Telling your employees they don’t have a place to make a living isn’t the greatest feeling in the world. I want all of you to keep in mind that the blood that is about to be on New Frontiers hands, both literal and metaphorical could have all been prevented IF Brody didn’t succumb to his own hubris and B, he didn’t foster a backstage culture that I bet is among the worst in all of professional wrestling.”

This draws the ire of the NFW loyalists. Porter persisted.

Zachary Porter: “To every Zion fan in the crowd and to the men and women backstage who many people don’t believe have anything to lose. We have a lot to gain this weekend. And I am not referring to NFW competitors potentially losing their jobs. We have been looked down on. Treated like the ugly step sister. We are the company who dared to dream. We are the company who is being downplayed for merely existing. The elitist backstage in NFW would love it if Zion wasn’t a blip on the radar screen. Even some of their own know, like Last of The Valkyries. Like the Second City Riot Squad. Like Faye. Why did they come to Zion? Why do they call Zion their home as well? They know opportunities exist. They know they will be treated with respect. They know the house that Kai built is working. The elite back there have tried to wipe us off the face of the planet for so long. This weekend, New Frontier Wrestling will finally respect Zion Wrestling. If it takes us putting them out on the street to do it, small price to pay.”

The Zion contingent in the crowd have their moment to drown out the smattering of boos from the NFW faithful.

Zachary Porter: “There is one small piece of business to discuss. Who is the 5th person on my team. No secret I wanted #5 to be Ash. Kai needed her for Ultimate Battleground. I trust Kai’s judgment. He hasn’t steered me wrong. The Lucha House Rules Match is tonight, so I kinda need to know who is going to fight by me, Thora, Lily and Cherry’s side. Kai, if you have a moment, I need this loose end tied up. ”

Just then “Gauze” by Aesop Rock can be heard throughout the arena! Kai Morgan makes his way out to the ring, meeting the man who’s going to be leading the charge for Zion in the 5-on-5 Lucha House Rules Match! He shakes Porter’s hand, before grabbing a microphone.

Kai Morgan: Listen, man. I know you’ve been curious, I know you haven’t really had much of a clue as to what’s going on with this match. But I’ve been making a few phone calls, because I wanted to make sure that I found the perfect replacement for Ash on your team. I’ll be honest, this person was pretty hard to find, and even when I got them on the phone, it was hard to entice them into a conversation at all. But it’ll be worth it when you and your team wipe the shit-eating grins off of Team NFW at Invasion. So…without further adieu…here is…

Kai is quickly interrupted by the tune of Imagine Dragons’ “Enemy”, as Xander Fillmore makes his way down to the ring with a microphone in hand. Porter and Morgan look on with mixed expression of surprise and disgust, with neither of them able to fathom how Fillmore made it past security, or even had his music play for a formal entrance, even.

Xander Fillmore: I’m done playing games, Kai. I know you and Porter have been up to something. We’re just three days out from the most important PPV in NFW’s history, and you and your ugly stepsister of a company haven’t even had the gall to come up with a final member for your team. I’m starting to think you don’t even have anyone else. For all I know, we’re walking in with a 5-on-4 advantage.

Kai smiles a bit, before addressing Fillmore.

Kai Morgan: See Xander…that’s kinda sorta where you’re wrong, though? See I was about to introduce the final member of the team before you so rudely inter-

Xander cuts off Kai, ironically interrupting him as he was literally going to say the word “interrupted”.

Xander Fillmore: Bullshit, Kai! I was back there and I didn’t see anyone even near the curtain before I made my way out here!

Kai puts hand up to Xander as a way of telling him to chill out. Sensing that he isn’t quite getting the message, he decides to convey it vocally.

Kai Morgan: Whoa man…chill yo ass out, alright? As I was going to say before you interrupted me AGAIN: I was about to introduce the final member of the team before you so rudely interrupted me. But I get it, you apparently seem to think that you’ve called my bluff, by not finding a single soul out there. Or maybe? Maybe they just didn’t wanna be seen by you until now.

There's a moment of silence between them as all three look up to the entrance ramp. Kai and Zach are smiling widely as Xander taunts whoever it is to come down the ramp already. When the opening notes of KDA's "Pop/Stars" plays though, Xander is shown being completely stunned in his place just as the lights go down.

There's a few seconds where Xander shakes his head, not believing what he's hearing. Seeing, however, is very much believing. The lights come back up showing Rayola Davine at the top of the stage facing away from the ring. Her entrance gear is her purple and red variation of the Oni. She even has her leather wing on one side and feathered wing on the other. Before the next verse hits, she turns around and reveals the Oni half face on hers before she starts down the ramp.

Rayola walks with purpose here. She doesn't stop to give any high fives or fan acknowledgement this time. She simply makes a bee line for the ring.

Can you feel the rush now?

Rayola climbs on the apron and flips quickly into the ring. The three men give her a berth and space as she looks around. Xander is still completely baffled by this turn of events.

Rayola's wings flutter and fold behind her as she looks out to the audience. The look in her eyes is business even if they seem to be holding back emotion as well. She turns and faces the three in the ring. Xander goes to speak as her music fades but Rayola quiets him holding up a finger. She is handed a mic and shakes her head at all of them in the ring.

Rayola: No, you don't get to say anything "baby". You were the one who took what should have been a personal matter between the three of us and turned it into a spectacle. What's worse, you dragged Ryleigh in it too and got all of TRIOCS a bad rep. A rep I was building on my own while you were off doing who knows what somewhere else in the world. Yes, I know what you said about it, but that still gave you no right to do what you did.

Xander hobbles on his words trying to get an explanation out, but Kai brings up the mic to his mouth just to similarly be rebuked by Rayola.

Rayola: No, don't you fucking start either! Both of you! You could have gone after anyone for any reason you really wanted to. You chose to come after Xander at a special show. Why? For the same damn reason: because you couldn't keep a personal matter private! You all fucked up and look where it got you all. Burning sets, threatening another company with a close! Over what?! Me?! Your goddamned egos?! All of you can go straight to hell for that bullshit!

Rayola paces a bit. Xander tries to approach her, but she pulls away from him. Zach steps up to Xander and Rayola slaps Zach and berates him off the mic for a couple seconds. The audience roots like an episode of Jerry Springer. She gets back on the mic a moment later.

Rayola: And honestly, I could have just kept my head down and let everything go by and just pray for a clean resolution. Except… NFW quietly decided to let me go.

Kai starts smirking at that and Xander starts shaking his head.

Rayola: Yes they did. Whether it was all the negative publicity that I was bringing or budget cuts or whatever it was, I was quietly removed from the roster. Imagine my shock showing up at Trauma and being barred from the entrance on the first show back. Did you actually notice that Xander? Because Kai did. And what got thrown out with the trash, Kai decided to use as an opportunity.

Rayola glares at Kai who has a big smile on his face as he looks elsewhere pretending to be innocent. The audience tension starts to mount now.

Rayola: It was a deal with the devil. But after some tense negotiation we struck a deal: no more references to what happened between Zach and I, and Kai basically otherwise gets to boss me around. A deal I'm pretty sure I'm at the short end of the damn stick on, but one I couldn't turn down.

Rayola whips around and stares Xander down.

Rayola: I am the final member on Team Zion!

The audience goes nuts with glee as Xander seems like he's ready to break. Kai smiles as he raises the microphone back up.

Kai Morgan: Now Xander…this might be hard to hear…I know breakups can be tough…but I just wanted to give you one final word of advice before you go: When you’re looking for a new job? Maybe don’t put next Monday on your resumé…

Kai pats Xander’s shoulder as all three make their leave. Xander looks on, not having a clue as to what he’s going to do as we go off the air.
