Wrestler Intangibles:
Intangible #1: Fighter
Intangible #2: Villainous
Intangible #3: Narcissistic
Gimmick Description: The Renegade. After months of being overlooked and underappreciated, Melody has turned on the fans, blaming them for not pushing harder in support of her. She has a massive chip on her shoulder and one hell of an attitude. If you respect her? She doesn't have a problem with you. Show disrespect, however, and she will make it her personal mission to destroy you.
Character Biography: During the Blazenwing Wrestling Federation event WrestleFest II on December 31, 2004, then-C.E.O. of the company Jen Slayton went into labor. Before the show went off the air, BWF Founder David Slayton proudly announced that his wife had given birth to a healthy baby girl. As a result, the story of Melody Linnea Slayton began - quite literally - with a pop from the hometown Milwaukee crowd.
As Melody grew up, her parents divorced, but though they ended up living across the nation from one another (David in Wisconsin, Jen in Florida) they both always managed to make time for her. After showing interest in her parents' profession at a young age, Jen tentatively agreed to let David train their daughter, so long as he do it safely. (And as far as she knows, that is absolutely what happened.)
Over the years, Melody would learn from a number of the biggest names to ever grace the squared circle. Most people who came through BWF knew the girl, and she absorbed whatever knowledge she could like a sponge. Upon reaching her 17th birthday on December 31, 2021, her father surprised her with the news that, after having a serious talk with Jen, Melody would be allowed to set out on her own a year early - provided she still finish high school, of course, and attend college courses when she was able - and begin her wrestling career in earnest. (Previously, her mother had refused to allow any real wrestling before Melody's 18th birthday.)
And so, with a frankly astonishing pedigree behind her and all the potential in the world in front of her, the Scrappy Songbird herself went in search of the first company she would call home. A place she could make her mark and prove herself worthy of the Blazenwing legacy. A journey that led her to the gates of companies such as Zion Wrestling, Uprising, Empire Wrestling and Limitless Wrestling.
In April 2023, just over a year after her pro debut, Melody would shock the world by winning not one, but two World Titles within the same month - first capturing the Empire Wrestling World Title (one of the few Championships her father was never able to win himself), followed up by the BWF World Title, won by surviving the 30-person Gauntlet Run Match in Limitless Wrestling.
Entrance Theme: "Whatever It Takes" by Hollywood Undead
Entrance Description: The lights in the arena dim as the first beats of "Whatever It Takes" by Hollywood Undead start ringing out across the sound system.
I do whatever it takes to make it
Break through anything I'm face to face with
It's true, you gon' make me lose my patience
'Cause victory is mine and I'mma take it
Melody Slayton steps out from behind the curtain, a cocky smirk on her face as the crowd begins to boo. She points out toward the crowd, then drops to one knee and poses, bringing her hands together to make a heart - before making a retching noise and standing up, making rude motions to the crowd.
So put your hands up high
Now wave them side to side
Now when I pull out the nine
You better wave bye bye
Melody then makes her way down toward the ring, mocking any young fans who put their hands out and laughing.
So take a page from my book
Roll it up and get cooked
Watch these ladies get hooked
While all these haters get shook
Melody reaches ringside and climbs up the nearest set of stairs. She steps onto the ring apron, leans forward, and stretches her arms outward, basking in the negative reaction from the fans in attendance.
We gonna rise up to the top
We've been through it all
Been to fucking hell and back
Our backs against the wall
Got the dove and grenade flag on display
And every fucking critic's gonna listen when we say
As the song winds down, Melody slips into the ring through the middle ropes. She makes her way to the nearest corner and leans against the turnbuckles, idly awaiting the start of the match.
Roster Choice: Anywhere is fine!

In-Ring Strengths:
- As a certain old-school announcer might say, Melody is "quicker than a hiccup". She's small, agile and adept at using her speed to her advantage.
- After spending most of her life learning from a wide range of competitors, Melody is adaptable to most situations. If she can stay focused and remain calm, she can often come up with an answer for any situation.
- Melody is often overlooked due to her age, or the ego of whoever she is facing, and as a (self-declared) tactician, she is more than willing to use her opponent’s blind eye to her advantage. In the end, a win is a win, and Melody recognizes that more than most.

In-Ring Weaknesses:
- While Melody IS fast, sometimes she can rely too much on her speed, focusing on agility and evasion instead of offense. This can wear her down faster than if she just took the hits from her opponent.
- Pride. Melody is proud of her family and her lineage, and that can sometimes blind her, regardless of if she intends it to or not.
- She may already be a multiple-time World Champion, but pedigree or not, Melody is still young, and as the young tend to do, she can act rashly or make mistakes if she gets flustered.

Occasional Finishes:
Occasional Finish #1: 630 Splash
Condition: Desperation. Despite being a daredevil at heart (and in this bio), Melody doesn't go for the REALLY crazy moves unless she's tried everything else. This is her last ditch, blow the roof off the arena, HOLY S**T move. If she hits it? Magic. If she fails? She's probably not coming back from it.
