What is Zion?
Zion Wrestling is a fictional, weekly, angle-based e-fed. Here we primarily focus on stories and matches that make for a compelling read amongst other roster members and those outside who choose to follow the action.
We currently run two weekly shows with Mayhem (Red brand) on Monday’s and Fusion (Blue Brand) on Friday’s. We hold 4 quarterly Supershows throughout a calendar year, with minor 'TV Specials' being inserted in between to blow off feuds and have major matches.
This is cool and all…but where do I start?
The ‘Contract Signing Room’ will have everything you need to get yourself situated at the beginning. Two different full talent contracts are located in the section (one for Singles competitors and another for Tag Teams). Simply copy the BBCode on those posts, create a new thread in ‘The Filing Cabinet’, and paste it there along with all the information asked.*
During the signing process, you will be asked for the Pic Base for your character, as well as their Theme Song and Color Code to be used for segments. Zion abides by a one picbase per character rule, so it is abolsutely essential that you check the 'Taken Themes, Colors, and Picbases' Page of the website BEFORE starting your contract to ensure any materials for your characters are not already taken.
*Note: In order for contracts to come through correctly, please be sure that the coding is initially pasted to the BBCode Tab of the text entry section when creating your post.

From there, a good next step would be to follow (@)ZionWrestleRP on Twitter, and join the Zion Wrestling Discord Server. Having a Twitter/Discord account is NOT required, however it does provide a very easy and convenient way of getting in touch with the fed/fedhead.
From there, an announcement of your arrival will be made via Twitter, notifying you and others in the fed that you are officially on the roster. You can also quickly be notified of this with the moving of your contract from ‘The Filing Cabinet’ to the roster of your chosen show. This process will usually take place within a day. However, if you find it has taken quite some time for your contract to be brought through, it could be for the following reasons:
-Your character uses a picture base that is currently being used/reserved. (Check the aforementioned warning)
-There is essential information missing or incomplete from your contract. (Wrestling info, character info, etc.)
-The fed and/or show you’ve chosen has been capped. (In cases in which a show is capped, you may be contacted with the option to move to the other show. If the fed as a whole is capped, or if you are adamant about being on a particular capped show, you may be moved to the ‘Waiting List’ Section.)
Contact will be attempted within a timely manner in the case of any of these events occurring. However, if you deem it necessary, you can always ask questions!
Okay. I’m in…so what now?
Once you’ve become an official member of the Zion team, you’ll be placed into the roster section of whichever show you chose to be a part of. You’ll shortly be contacted, regarding ways your character can be implemented on your show and potential stories/matches you can participate in right out of the gate.
As previously mentioned, Mayhem results post on Monday’s and Fusion results post on Friday’s. Depending on what point in the week you join, you may be inserted into the next week’s show. However, please do understand that some cards and matches are booked and written the day BEFORE show results are posted. This is done solely to stay ahead of match writing and planning. Things will be done to make sure you have your first match relatively soon after your arrival, however please exercise a bit of patience.
In the meantime, you may send in segments for the weekly shows to introduce your character, or post promos and CDs to “Zion Network > Promo Studios”
General Rules
These should be fairly simple. We’re all (hopefully) adults who want to be treated with respect and therefore should give respect in return.
1. Absolutely ZERO racist, sexist, homophobic, transphobic, etc. comments will be tolerated here. Neither IC or OOC. Any comments of the sort will net you an immediate and lifetime ban from the fed. No ifs, ands, or buts. Doesn’t matter if you’re in a storyline. Doesn’t matter if you’re a champion. You’re out.
2. No harassment of other members. If it’s heard about, you will also be banned.
Keep drama between yourself and another handler out of Zion chats. Whatever private issues you have with another handler can easily be handled privately. Bringing it into a fed-wide chat makes other handlers trying to enjoy the game peacefully uncomfortable and will not be tolerated.
3. No ‘blurring lines’. This goes hand-in-hand with the previous rule, but it bears its own rule in and of itself. Keep OOC drama between yourself and another handler out of IC interactions and segments. If you’re feuding with someone IC, keep all your interactions with them STRICTLY IC. You’ll be warned for the first two instances. However, future instances will net you a permanent ban.
Furthermore, if anything a character/handler does offends you in any way, please feel free to let the fedhead know! The point of this game to have an escape and to be comfortable, a right that EVERYONE here should be afforded!

Character Limits
As of January 1st, 2023, Zion Wrestling runs on a two character per handler basis, with handlers being allotted one character per show (Mayhem and Fusion). Tag Teams may constitute only one character slot, so long as they're kept solely as a Tag Team. Handlers who have brought more than this amount into the fed in the past will be grandfathered into this rule, and any characters that are pulled by these handlers will not be brought back under any circumstance unless they are within the limit.
My Character Isn't Doing Much. What's Going On?
As previously mentioned, efforts will be made to find storyline opportunities for you to partake in. However, it's an unfortunate reality that in e-fedding, much like in real life wrestling, people and characters can at times be lost in the shuffle. With so much to keep an eye on at once, it's easy for folks to slip through the cracks. If you feel like your character could use something to do, please simply reach out and ask.
If you need ideas thrown your way to keep your character active or in a feud, I'll gladly find such a thing for you. If you want to pitch your own stories or feuds with another handler, please feel free. Your creativity can range from “I’ve got some ideas, but I need help forming them” to “Here’s what I need booked and when”. Everything is fair game so long as you get everything you need brought in at the correct times and the story in question is not unreasonable (i.e. "gimme the title", "let me squash someone", etc.).
I will also ask handlers that have more than one character in the fed to not ‘self feud’ whenever possible, in order to provide more opportunities for other handlers to participate. There are some cases in which I will let this slide. We're all here to tell stories at the end of the day, and what more compelling of a story can you tell than between two characters you play and know intimately well? However, all I ask is that you not do it unless necessary and not overindulge in it.

Segments
Segments are a massive part of Zion's shows. In order to make events feel more lively, it's nice to have characters represented on the show outside of matches.
Each week, soon after the card for each show is made live, a "Show Script" will be posted on the boards, with links to the thread posted on the Discord and Twitter! Simply reply to the thread to secure yourself a segment on the show! You may request as many segments as you want for whoever you want, regardless of if they're booked on the show or not, and can be helpful with finding direction for a character or moving a story along. All that is asked is that common sense be exercised when doing so (No unnecessary brand crossover, no over indulging on pointless segments, etc.)
In Zion, segments are now coded a particular way, please look at the 'Segment Outline' Section for more details. Coding for segments is not entirely necessary. However, whenever you DO code your segments, make sure they are coded CORRECTLY in accordance to this outline.
Segment deadlines are at Midnight EST the date of the show, and will usually be included on the Card and Script for reference. These deadlines are strict, and any segments sent after it elaspes will NOT be excepted. If you feel that you will not be able to get a segment in on time, please contact me privately to either scrap your segment or ask for an extension. Within reason, you will be given an extension so long as it is asked for in a timely manner. However, if it gets to a point that your extension is beginning to hold up the show, I will be left with no other choice but to leave your segment out and carry on with the release of the show.
At times, you may be asked to write a particular segment for an upcoming show in order to move along stories. This will usually be asked ahead of the card going live, with a segment slot being reserved in order for you to do this. If for any reason you cannot complete this segment, please let me know at least 24 hours before segment deadline so that there's enough time for alternative ideas and solutions to be worked out.

Match Writing
At the bottom of your contract, you will be questioned about whether or not you would like to be included in Zion's Match Writing Team. This is completely optional, and answering no to this will not effect your acceptance into the fed. If you select yes, however, Writer's Slots will also be added to Cards and Segment Scripts for you volunteer to take just like you would a segment. You will also be given the 'Match Writers' role in the Zion Discord, giving you access to a 'Match Writers' Channel, where you can select a match to write there as well. You may volunteer to take whatever and however matches you please, so long as they are brought in on time.
Match Deadlines, much like Segment Deadlines, are midnight EST the day of the show they're set to be on. It is absolutely quintessential that matches are either sent in on time, or that I am notified of the tardiness of said matches in a timely manner. Repeated failure to adhere to these deadlines will result in you being stripped of match writing privileges.
There are typically a few levels of matches you'd be expected to write when volunteering for them, as listed below:
-Squashes: These tend to only need a paragraph, maybe two if you're feeling creative. Not much detail needs to go into these types of matches, just have a poor jobber get tossed around for a bit before taking it home with a big move.
-Small Summaries: These are usually reserved for the midcard of weekly shows. Only 3-4 paragraphs need to go into this, with not much detail needed throughout.
-Detailed Weekly/TV Special Matches: Reserved for the Opening and Main Event Matches for weekly shows, as well as matches for 'TV Specials'. These require a bit more detail than your average weekly match, being at least a page in length.
-Supershow/Full Matches: The largest level of match here in Zion. These matches are written to go on Supershows and require at least 3 pages of highly detailed action. With Zion running quarterly Supershows, the chances of you having to write a match like this are exceedingly rare, and highly appreciated when you volunteer for them.
These matches usually follow a particular outline, highlighted in the 'Match Outline' Thread, which will also be inserted into Scripts for shows!
