The chorus of “Revolution” by The Used finishes as we cut to the arena! The main lights of the arena go out and the only Shine we see are the lights of the stage flashing to the beat of the second verse.
“We looked at the price tag
And it’s one we can’t afford,
We were taught that progression
Means accumulating more…”
We open up to a sold out FedExForum in Memphis, Tennessee as the camera pans around the fans in attendance before finally settling on Tripp Bennett and Alivia Takasoto.
Tripp Bennett: Welcome everyone to Fusion: Arrival ladies and gentlemen! Tripp Bennett here alongside Alivia Takasoto and Alivia? What a show we have tonight!
Alivia Takasoto: You ain’t kidding, Tripp! We’ve got a stacked card tonight and after what happened last week at Homecoming? Tonight is going to be quite the interesting--
Suddenly the opening to “The Gun Show” by In This Moment begins to play through the PA system and as soon as Maria Brink’s vocals kick in, Killer Carter storms out onto the stage with a snarl on her face and stops on stage before turning around to reveal the Shieldmaidens logo on the back of her kutte as she stretches out her arms displaying the devil's horns with her hands before she swiftly turns around and begins to storm down the ramp.
Tripp Bennett: Well here comes one of Fusion’s newest acquisitions! Kai Morgan’s “enforcer” Killer Carter… who took out our World Champion, Legion… along with Minka Carter and Solomon Graham!
Alivia Takasoto: Quite the way to debut, Tripp!
When Carter reaches the bottom of the ramp, she wastes little time in rolling under the bottom rope and marches to the middle of the ring and outstretches her arms again displaying the devil’s horns, still maintaining that vicious snarl as she calls for a microphone and is handed one as “The Gun Show” fades out.
Killer Carter: So I can imagine there’s quite a few people in the back who ain’t my biggest fan right now?
The behemoth chuckles and just shrugs.
Killer Carter: Well you can whine and complain all you want because when it comes down to it? You all brought this on yourself and I don’t give a damn whether you love me or hate me. See… don’t get it twisted… I don’t really care about Kai Morgan… and I certainly don’t care about any of you in the back! All I care about here on Fusion… is me! Kai Morgan offered me a contract here along with an added bonus if I took care of those who were stepping out of line and not listening to him…
She turns to face the stage, pointing to it.
Killer Carter: ...and I know, and all of you in the back know… that if he offered that deal to any of you… that you would all jump at the chance to do the fucking same!
KC paces the ring a little, stroking her free hand through her short hair before continuing.
Killer Carter: So whether you like it or not… Killer Carter is here on Fusion… and if Kai Morgan feels like someone needs to be taken care of? I’ll make sure they’re taken care of. If anyone steps on my toes? I’ll step on their toes ten times harder. And if anyone has a fucking problem with me and what I do?
Carter turns to the stage again and outstretches her free arm.
Killer Carter: I’m right fucking here! Come and do something about it!
She then turns her attention to the hard camera.
Killer Carter: Welcome to the Gun Show, bitches!
The behemoth then drops the microphone and flexes as “The Gun Show” blasts out of the PA system and she exits the ring and makes her way up the ramp.
Tripp Bennett: Well there you have it… strong words from one of our newest signings, Killer Carter!
Alivia Takasoto: And she’s going to be in action tonight! I’m looking forward to seeing her in the ring but also, I’m kinda terrified too!
Carter then disappears through the curtain to the back as we cut elsewhere.

The camera goes backstage where Meliana Rodrigo stands by with Jordan Majors. Jordan is already dressed for her match with Mai Blackman later and is all smiles as Meliana brings the mic up.
Meliana Rodrigo: I'm joined backstage by one of Fusion's newest signings who makes her official debut tonight against Mai Blackman in the Viral Championship Tournament. Jordan... how are you feeling ahead of this moment?
Jordan smiles and shrugs a little before crossing her arms.
Jordan Majors: Honestly? I'm ecstatic! I'm ready. From the moment I showed up at a Zion show, I sort of felt like it could be home. Invasion? Gosh, it was freaking awesome. I mean it was one of the biggest moments of my career fighting in front of that electric crowd. So when Kai Morgan approached me and said, "hey, you wanna stick around," I didn't have to give it much thought. And debuting here, in this tournament? I sort of already feel like I debuted since Ana is here, too. But I'm not going to overlook the moment. This tournament is stacked. I mean the whole roster is right?
Meliana Rodrigo: Speaking of that, Mai Blackman looks like a pretty tough opponent to start with. You two even had a little interaction on Twitter. She called you out personally.
Jordan smirks.
Jordan Majors: She did, didn't she? I thought this was about proving herself, but I realize it isn't that at all. I'm the new kid in class and that's enough to piss off about half the roster here. The fact that I'm in the tournament and there's so much up for grabs... they want to make sure I don't win this. So maybe it shouldn't be this way, but this IS about proving myself in a way. I look at these opponents and I realize everyone of them on my side is capable of winning that title. The other side looks just as tough. Mai and I are basically complete opposites so right off the bat I have to prove that I can overcome that. I have to make sure I don't finish another match laying passed out on the mat.
Meliana Rodrigo: I guess I should bring up the one that left you that way then. Celeste is--
Jordan Majors: Unique?
Meliana Rodrigo: I was going to say she has her eyes set on you right now, but unique is certainly a way to describe her.
Jordan lets out a sigh and wipes a strand of hair back.
Jordan Majors: It certainly feels like an obsession. It's like I said last week when I signed that contract, I'm not about to play her games. She wants to come at me, let's do it in the ring. We have a date with destiny in this tournament and she better be ready because I'm not about to be put to sleep by her again. I'm serious about our match. I'm not even great when it comes to the mat game, but she will either tap or pass out. I have a favor to return to her. I'm sure Ana feels that same way. But she tried to embarrass me at Invasion just to get her rocks off. Instead? She motivated me. And that's bad news for Mai. It's bad news for Lass. And when Celeste comes in front of me... it's lights out for her. She can take that to the bank!
Jordan walks off as Rodrigo looks to sign off! However Celeste Ciel, who was apparently lurking in the background during Meliana's last interview now stands beside her with an almost rabid look in her eyes. Celeste sneers and acts restless and jittery while eyeing Meliana which makes her uncomfortable.
Meliana Rodrigo: Celeste? Why are you here?
Celeste leans in toward the mic being held by Meliana grabbing the mic and Meliana's hand at the same time while looking directly at the camera.
Celeste Ciel: Tonight, there are numerous new signees to be showcased and I signed just a little too soon, so I’m not scheduled to do battle. Let me first address someone who decided, rather than come out to my face like Jordan Majors, she’d instead do a more passive approach on Twitter. I speak of Ana Evans, of course. Ana, you do have a match scheduled that I will be watching closely. How close you may ask? Maybe in the back like everyone else, maybe even in the crowd, I will know when the time comes. You are good, no doubt about it, as you displayed two weeks ago at Invasion. A couple of things, though. Number one, you lost that match, so you have to redeem yourself tonight. Number two, you face Cass Baumer. Cass showed she was not afraid to walk into a losing battle, which I initially saw as foolish given the numbers game was against her, but she almost pulled it off and the reward was more than the risk. She seems to know what she’s doing and she is in your way, Ana. Will you climb up or will you falter, I will have to wait to see how this one unfolds. Needless to say, Ana, from what I’ve said to and about Jordan Majors, I welcome an opponent wanting vengeance. Unfortunately for you, I can only have one obsession and that is not you...yet!
Meliana tries her best to calm herself down after realizing Celeste just wanted a forum to air her grievances and decides to take advantage of the impromptu interview opportunity.
Meliana Rodrigo: Interesting words… Celeste, you mentioned Jordan Majors, and we all know about her signing last week as she showed you in person after your first match on Fusion. What are your thoughts?
Celeste Ciel: Meliana, last week, I faced Lass Haliday and before we fought, I made sure to let her know what kind of a match I wanted and needed. I was utterly disappointed when she didn’t even make me bleed let alone break anything. I stand before you a woman depraved of the violence she craves and NEEDS to have. I have been going through withdrawal since that match and the absence of a match tonight, but I cling to a little glimmer of hope.
Meliana Rodrigo: Hope?
Celeste nods as she continues…
Celeste Ciel: This glimmer of hope that was given me that same night, which you already mentioned. The news of the signing and entering into the Viral Championship Tournament of one Jordan Majors. Jordan thought it cute to just show up at the end of my match and make a presentation of her contract signing, but all the while I was smiling. Smiling because I knew at that moment that she was answering my invitation to come face me in the ring. Smiling because she not only signed, but put herself directly in my path. BUT!
Celeste grabs the mic from Rodrigo and steps closer to the camera.
Celeste Ciel: I have to WAIT for my turn with you and in the meantime you face your first opponent in the tournament tonight. Mai Blackman, you get to step in the ring with Jordan and share a violent exchange with her. You get to have the time to make your mark on her pretty little face. You get to touch her body and bend and break whatever you are able, and from what I’ve seen when you faced my opponent from last week, you are more than able to break someone. And, Jordan, when you look at your opponent standing on the other side of the ring from you, know this…
Celeste gets very quiet with her last words before raising her voice for her next.
Celeste Ciel: THAT SHOULD BE ME WITH YOU TONIGHT!
With that, she lowers the mic and looks to be trying to compose herself, but instead starts shaking her head seemingly random and uncontrollably as she starts to scream in both English and French for a few seconds. She finally gets a grip on herself and raises the mic again.
Celeste Ciel: Mai gets you tonight and I don’t. That makes me very upset, Jordan. I am a very upset woman right now and that’s not a good thing. I have waited a week to see you again, Mon Beau. I have waited even longer to get my hands back on you. Jordan, I crave it… I crave to touch you, to feel you touching me, and to put you in a warm embrace! A WARM EMBRACE of pain and agony as I hold you so close I can feel your screams in my chest. And when the blood spills whether mine or yours, it is blood that is shared between two adversaries who long to destroy each other in the ring. TRY TO DESTROY ME TONIGHT, JORDAN, not Mai. Mai isn’t worthy of your attention, I am more than worthy. I just can’t TAKE IT seeing her with you, Jordan.
Celeste shakes her head “no” several times increasing in speed and then stops and throws her arms down to her side before bringing the mic back up.
Celeste Ciel: Jordan Majors… Your name has been ringing in my head and out of my lips more than anyone else on Fusion! Why do they put you in the ring with Mai first knowing how much we long to play with each other in the ring. You and I in the ring playing with agony. It should be TONIGHT! Nevertheless, if Mai has to have you tonight and not me, I will have to stay starved until my time comes… Or FORCE you to give me the time I deserve! I will get your time sooner than you think, mon petit objet d'affection, why wait, why deny me of my wants, my NEEDS! No, my time with you comes tonight. Give me your time or I will take it myself! Joue avec moi, mon amour!
Celeste drops the mic as the camera cuts.
Match #1: Jordan Majors vs Mai Blackman
Viral Championship Tournament
Alex Lawson: The following contest...is scheduled for one fall...
Crowd: ONE FALL!
Alex Lawson: And is a Viral Championship Tournament Match!
Introducing first...from Chicago, Illinois...weighing in at 135 lbs...Mai! Blackman!
And her opponent...from Los Angeles, California...weighing in at 130 lbs...Jordan! Majors!
Tripp Bennett: Jordan Majors making her Fusion debut tonight and in a huge way! How do you think the Zion upstart is going to fare in this tournament, Alivia?
Alivia Takasoto: If her work in the Superstar Showcase is anything to go by Tripp, she has all the tools necessary to go all the way in this thing! But she’s going up some game competition in Mai Blackman! It’s gonna be a coin toss on whether or not she can get the win here!
Jordan and Mai circle each other before Jordan shoots in and grabs the wrist. She twists it around and Mai reverses to an elbow lock! Jordan struggles with it for a moment before reversing and putting a waist lock in from behind. Mai with a Wizard kick and she flips Jordan on to her back. Jordan scrambles to her feet but Mai meets Jordan with a shoot throw! Jordan lays on the ground looking up at Mai who taunts her to get back up.
Mai lets Jordan up and pulls her in for a snap suplex. Jordan slaps the mat in frustration! Mai grabs Jordan and then rolls into a guillotine choke. Jordan struggles to get out of the move as Mai cinches it in and smiles.Jordan reaches for the ropes but they are out of reach. She throws shoot punches at Mai’s side, lefts and rights, as she tries to break the hold. Jordan slips out, throws a few stomps and then runs the ropes. Mai hits a kick to the gut on the rebound and a belly-to-belly suplex! She puts her arm over Jordan’s face for the cover!

She ducks a forearm from Mai and jumps into the ropes and springboards backwards with her elbow and catches Mai on the side of the jaw! Both women stand and then trade quick blows. Mai gets the upper hand and locks in the muay thai clinch! She’s hitting punches and knees. A big knee catches Jordan in the face and she crumples to the mat! Mai hooks the leg!

Mai goes for Blackman’s Bounty! Jordan has it scouted and runs headfirst toward the corner. She drops and Mai spills into the turnbuckle shoulder first. Jordan scrambles to her feet and runs across the ring and then runs back and hits the Donk Bonk! The running hip attack! Mai rolls away from the corner as Jordan climbs to the top with a little blood on her forehead from the headbutt. Moonsault! Jordan hooks the leg.
ONE…

Mai kicks out and immediately rolls into the scissorhold headlock. Mai going for the armbar and Jordan trying to both hang on and hammering at Mai’s arms with her right arm. Jordan tries to wiggle away and Mai grabs ahold of the left arm and tucks it under her armpit with the modified fujiwara armbar! Mai puts in extra torque as Jordan screams out in pain with a spot of blood running down her face. Jordan rocks their bodies back and forth until the roll over on Mai and she reaches the ropes.
Mai grabs her legs and pulls her from the ropes. She dives down with a fist as she goes in full mount. Jordan rolls them around and transitions to a position behind a grounded Mai and hammers at her from behind. Mai covers up and the official steps in. Mai comes up to a knee to eat a superkick to the side of the head. Jordan runs to the corner and climbs to the top. She comes off for the moonsault double stomp! Money Drop! Mai loses her hold as they stand. Cash Out! The jumping cutter plants Mai and she’s motionless on the canvas. Jordan scrambles across the ground and rolls her over for the cover.
ONE…
TWO…
THREE!
Alex Lawson: The winner of this match...Jordan! Majors!
Tripp Bennett: Jordan Majors gets the win here tonight, scoring her first point in the tournament!
Alivia Takasoto: She now joins Sermon Bundy, Thalia Starks, and Celeste Ciel at one point a piece! I have a feeling that the competition here is gonna be FIERCE!
Celeste Ciel is seen jumping the barricade from the audience and into the ringside area. She slides under the bottom rope and into the ring in a perfect recreation of her actions from two weeks ago. Not to her feet just yet, she quickly glances over to the still laid out body of Mai Blackman which brings a slight grin to her face. She finally gets to her feet and now has her sights set on Jordan Majors who is catching her breath from the match, but does not back away from Celeste’s advance. Once close enough to be face to face, Celeste gets a fiercer look in her eyes as she sees the open wound Jordan sustained from the headbutt earlier.
Alivia Takasoto: It looks like Celeste Ciel is cashing in on the comments she made earlier tonight.
Tripp Bennett: Like this, though? Jordan Majors just got through a grueling match and Celeste is now looking over her prey. This doesn’t even have a hint of a fair fight.
Finally, she gets in the face of Jordan and the two exchange comments while the referee attempts to keep them separated. The ref has a harder time as the verbal exchange between the two starts getting heated and it looks as if at any moment it could turn physical. Suddenly, Celeste shoves the referee aside and turns looking at Jordan with a sick and almost seductive smile as there is no barrier between them. The look doesn’t phase Jordan as the two women approach one another poised to start an all-out assault, but “The Gun Show” by In This Moment hits causing Celeste to back away and turn her focus to the stage.
Alivia Takasoto: Oh my! With the possibility of altercations, it didn’t take Kai long to up the security.
Killer Carter appears on the stage standing with her imposing presence staring at the women in the ring as if daring either to make a move.
Tripp Bennett: Celeste obviously distracted and knowing damn well that she precipitated this response to her actions.
Alivia Takasoto: She’s needs to make a decision here and act on it quickly!
Celeste, looking back at Jordan and then to the stage at Carter, hesitates for a moment, but eventually takes the better part of valor. She throws her hands up in the air as if caught and then slowly backs away from Jordan and slips out under the bottom rope to the outside. Once Celeste makes her way out into the crowd and into the ring, Carter returns to the back and the music changes over to “Warrior” by Stitched Up Heart.
Alivia Takasoto: Perhaps the smartest move to make in the situation. This also shows that when it comes to Killer Carter, it doesn’t matter who you are, if you step out of line… she will fu--
Tripp Bennett: Exactly what was proven here and with the smoke all clear, Jordan gets her rightfully earned celebration.
Jordan climbs the corner and looks out into the crowd as Celeste disappears among the fans. She throws a hand up as the audience lets out a roar, but the expression on her face shows her confusion at what just happened.
WINNER: JORDAN MAJORS (VIA PINFALL)
A caption at the bottom of the screen appears with the words "earlier this morning" for a brief moment while Zion Wrestling newcomer Cass Baumer sits on a park bench in Fourth Bluff Park one mile from the FedExForum arena. She brushes back her dyed dirty blonde hair out of her eyes and adjusts her "Full of Heart" Ana Evans snapback hat, so the brim is pointed crookedly at the front with a knowing smirk.
Cass Baumer: Almost anyone who considers themselves a fan of the combat sport we're all here for knows I'm Cass Baumer — the self-made chick from the end of the Earth who helped pioneer this new age of reporters in the wrestling space right now. Since then, I've most notably made a name for myself in New Frontier Wrestling, the place where Zachary Porter and Ashlynn Cassidy barged into the October 6th Vlad Blackheart Memorial IV Finals.
The New Zealander talks with a Kiwi accent, her voice a little nasally. The sounds of birds chirping, and trees rustling with the wind make the video seem almost calming. Baumer cutely scrunches her nose while she thinks of her next words, her fingers rhythmically tapping against the wood of her seat.
Cass Baumer: Ever since I started to bring attention to what happened, my Zion Wrestling loyalty's been questioned. People like Porter want to know why I haven't been kicked out of the company, disgraced, and terminated because I had the gull to criticise what I saw.
Cassandra smooths out the wrinkles of her black red-logoed New Frontier Wrestling t-shirt underneath her cheap white leather jacket as she remains calm in the beautiful outdoors.
Cass Baumer: As an answer to that, let's look at my opponent tonight, shall we?: Ana Evans has the potential to be the smiley, proud top champion of any promotion. Easily, I could see her signing autographs, taking selfies with moms holding babies, and representing Zion Wrestling on the front of glossy magazines stuffed in grocery store stands. She's talented. I watched back all her NFW matches and the few she's had with Zion Wrestling since she #arrived, too. Any promotion across the globe would be elated to see her thrive because she doesn't hold her co-workers' feet to the fire like I do. Never mind the inconvenient detail that she works for NFW too. By Porter's measure, she's still loyal to Zion Wrestling 'cause she's a low-risk future main eventer who does what she's told. For a paycheck. Are you starting to see the flaws in his argument, or nah?
She pauses to let it sink in for the listeners.
Cass Baumer: I hold others accountable not because I want Zion Wrestling to fail. I want Zion Wrestling to be better than all the other companies that folded in less than a year.
With sincerity, she speaks the words and then stands up. Cass steps closer to the stationary camera, starting to show her passion as her head twists from side to side while she speaks at a louder volume. Much more aggressive now, she balls her hands into fists at her sides and starts to talk with her hands.
Cass Baumer: The people of Fusion don't need to be subservient slaves to Mr Morgan 'cause of a few lame insults directed towards this company on social media. We should be more confident in ourselves, more willing to brush off taunts 'cause we're better than that!
She pauses, quirking her eyebrow at the camera with her beautiful blue-green eyes on display.
Cass Baumer: Aren’t we?
Baumer sits back down, trying to calm herself. Now she’s back where she started, although her blue-jeans-covered legs are crossed over one another with her foot bouncing up and down against the grass below.
Cass Baumer: What I'm trying to say is, I've constantly been insulted. Even here in Zion Wrestling. Sometimes it's hard to not fly off the handle. Emotions can control us to do some stupid, stupid things. Sometimes I wanna jump the barricade in another promotion to kick someone's ass too, but we have a responsibility to be better than that. For the fans. For the people who support us back home. For ourselves.
Now she takes a deep breath, trying to calm herself down even further. Her foot stops twitching.
Cass Baumer: If you're listening to the sound of my voice right now… and you still want to be an unquestioning cog in the Zion Wrestling machine… I get it. Going against the grain doesn't make you a lot of friends, but I don't care. I'll Fact Check Ana Evans. I'll Fact Check Zachary Porter. I'll Fact Check Mayhem's Ashlynn Cassidy if it comes to it. And maybe one day, someone will listen. Then Zion Wrestling will be a little bit better, aye?
With that, Cass walks up to the camera and reaches forward to turn it off herself.
Match #2: Code Black vs The Bad Ass Bitches
Alex Lawson: The following tag team contest...is scheduled for one fall!
Crowd: ONE FALL!
Alex Lawson: Introducing first...at a combined weight of 229 lbs...Jessica Anderson and Lily Lopez...The Bad! Ass! Bitches!
And their opponents...at a combined weight of 315 lbs...Ravyn & Olivia Nightshade...Code! Black!
Tripp Bennett: Last week, we got our first peek at The Nightshade Sisters on last week’s Fusion, and now they’re making their debut tonight! These two are some very interesting prospects for the brand!
Alivia Takasoto: These two grew up together, competed together in Mexico and Japan, and most interestingly racked up a criminal record together! To say the least, these two are the perfect combination of violence AND unity! I’m confident that these two are an amazing get for Zion’s tag team division!
Olivia Nightshade and Lily Lopez start the match for their respective teams! The two begin to circle around each other in the ring before they meet in the middle. Lopez, given her track record, foolishly makes the decision to get into a collar-and-elbow tie up with the younger Nightshade! Almost instantly, Olivia slips behind Lopez and gets her into a Waistlock! Lopez hardly has time to try and escape before she’s taken to the mat face first with a Takedown! Olivia releases the hold, sliding over Lopez to get in front of her and trapping her into a Butterfly Hold! She lifts Lopez to her feet, before quickly, and seemingly effortlessly, tossing her to the mat with a Butterfly Suplex! Olivia goes to her corner, seemingly about to tag her sister in, but just then she notices Lopez slowly starting to get to her feet! This incites a certain rage in Olivia, who runs up to now standing Lopez and mows her down with a Running Discus Clothesline!
Olivia drags the near lifeless body of Lily Lopez over to her corner before tagging in Ravyn! Olivia lifts Lopez to her feet, before whipping her towards the ropes! Upon return, she powers her up into the air, with Ravyn catching her with a Double Knee Facebreaker! She goes for the pin as Olivia exits the ring!
ONE…!
TWO…!
THRE-
NO! Ravyn lifts the head of Lily Lopez off the mat, giving the crowd a devilish grin! She drags Lopez to her feet, before taking her over to her own corner and using her hand to tag in Jessica Anderson! Confused, the referee makes the tag official, and before Anderson can even think of what to do, Ravyn drops her partner and pulls her into the ring by her hair! The referee takes exception to this, threatening to start a 5-count if she doesn’t relieve the hold! Annoyed, Ravyn does so, yanking Anderson into position, before slamming her into the mat with a Package Piledriver! She gets to her feet, taunting the crowd and Anderson, before pulling her up by her hair once again! The referee is again yelling for her to let go, to which she responds by hitting Anderson with a Hair Pull Mat Slam! Anderson is sent bouncing to her feet, a result that Ravyn was almost anticipating as she runs along and clubs her with a Spear!
Ravyn drags Anderson to the corner, before tagging in Olivia and tossing Anderson into her arms! Olivia lifts Anderson off her feet and onto her shoulder before driving her backfirst into the corner! She then carries her over to a waiting Ravyn and throws Anderson towards her, giving Ravyn the opening to hit a Jumping Cutter! THE FLATLINER CONNECTS!! Ravyn leaves the ring, as Olivia goes for the pin!
ONE…!
TWO…!
THREE!
Alex Lawson: The winners of this match...Code! Black!
Tripp Bennett: A very violent debut for Code Black! How do you think they’ll fit in amongst the blue brand’s already stacked tag team division, Alivia?
Alivia Takasoto: With performances like that, I wouldn’t be surprised if we see them at the top of the heap in the near future!
Olivia and Ravyn each put a foot on a prone Jessica Anderson and raise their hands together as we fade out!
WINNERS: CODE BLACK (VIA PINFALL)
Minka Carter angrily sits in the catering area, clearly bitter and seething. She is wearing a shirt that says “CONSPIRACY VICTIM” on it. She looks at the table and she feels almost disgusted with herself. She looks quite reluctant as she addresses someone that is outside the view of the camera.
Minka Carter: I can’t believe I am doing this. I don’t WANT to do this. You have no idea how much I REALLY don’t want to do this. BUT, I have no choice. I swear to god, if you rub this in, I WILL beat the shit out of you...
The scene pans to reveal Minka’s older sister Candice, who more than anything is just amused by Minka’s latest threat of violence toward her.
Candice Carter: I’m so used to those threats by now that they don’t even scare me anymore. Look, I know that this isn’t what you want to do. I know you can’t stand me. I know how long you resisted my help. But, you have to trust me. I will do whatever it takes for you to secure that long awaited world championship that you continually get screwed out of. Last week… well… I think it’s just best that we don’t talk about last week. Let’s focus on what matters, alright?
Minka Carter: YES! Overcoming the CONSPIRACY that’s what! You know, like how the general manager of this brand did what he did in NFW and all of that nonsense. It PROVES once and for all that there IS a conspiracy in ZION Wrestling… a conspiracy that prevents ME from becoming world champion. Let’s talk about how Solomon Graham CONTINUES to be a distraction from the REAL goal no matter how much I try to let him know that WE ARE OVER! This stupid obsession that he has over me must end. I don’t WANT to deal with him. I already BEAT HIM! I should be given ONE MORE CHANCE at the world title because I am SICK OF THIS SHIT REVOLVING AROUND LEGION! SICK! SICK! SICK OF IT! Do whatever you have to do to get me another shot...
Candice is looking quite skeptical about what Minka just requested her to do.
Candice Carter: Minka, you need to understand something here. I know how badly you want it, but after last week is Kai Morgan going to be willing to give you a third crack at the world title? Realistically? No. It’s not going to happen...
Minka’s eyes begin to narrow with bitter anger, further displaying her neurotic obsession with winning a world championship.
Candice Carter: I know that this struggle would’ve been over for you if… well… that other company didn’t ‘pull a fast one on you’ to say the least. BUT, if we’re going to get you what you really want, we’ve got to take the realistic point of view on this...
Minka Carter: And that would be WHAT exactly?
Candice Carter: That would be the fact that as long as Solomon Graham is in the picture, there will ALWAYS be a distraction that will keep you from the world title. So, the realistic thing to do would be to settle your business with him first and...
Minka interrupts her by flipping over the table they were sitting at, causing Minka’s drink to spill on Candice’s lap.
Minka Carter: WHAT PART OF I AM DONE WITH SOLOMON GRAHAM DO YOU NOT UNDERSTAND? I BEAT HIM ALREADY! IT’S OVER! WHY THE FUCK SHOULD I TAKE A STEP BACK AND DEAL WITH HIM AGAIN?!?!?! I AM THE BEST WRESTLER ON THIS WHOLE FUCKING ROSTER! I DON’T TAKE STEPS BACK! I AIM STRAIGHT FOR THE TOP! I REFUSE TO ‘SETTLE THIS’ WITH SOLOMON BECAUSE THERE IS NOTHING TO FUCKING SETTLE! DAMN IT, CANDICE! AM I GOING TO HAVE TO FIRE YOU ALREADY? THIS IS NOT WHAT I HIRED YOU FOR!
Candice Carter: You hired me to help you navigate through this issue, not to fill your head with expectations that are not realistic right now. This kind of behavior that you’re showing right now is EXACTLY why you’ve never been a world champion. You get bitter and angry over the SMALLEST thing. You’re too much of a perfectionist that expects everything to go your way. I understand you don’t want to deal with Solomon Graham, but I’m sorry sis… if you don’t deal with him, he’s going to keep getting in your way. You need to address this before we double back and focus on the world title, alright? What is less desirable? Dealing with him again or having him lurk around and cost you the world title OVER and OVER and OVER again? Because that’s what is going to continue to happen if you don’t take care of this.
Minka Carter: UGH! This is SO UNFAIR!
Candice Carter: It is unfair. But what are you going to do about it, Minka? I know your experiences with Legion anger you. What’s healthier? Holding onto all that? Or releasing all of those frustrations on Solomon as you ensure he NEVER gets in your way again?
Minka Carter: Hmm… you make a good point. I could use a punching bag right about now. Fine… I know what I have to do. I have to CONQUER THE DEMON that is Solomon Graham and then after THAT… we CONQUER THE CONSPIRACY!
Candice Carter: Conspiracy… sure...
Minka Carter: Well there IS...
Candice stands up at this point.
Candice Carter: Why do you get so angry? Sheesh! I’d suggest Prozac if I didn’t book you for therapy...
Minka Carter: You did WHAT?.
Candice Carter: It’s anger management technically but...
Minka picks up the steel chair she was sitting on with massive anger in her eyes.
Candice Carter: I was JOKING! Oh my GOD! Can’t I joke with my baby sister every now and then?
Minka Carter: I’m not your sister, I was adopted remember?
Candice Carter: You’re still my sister to me. That’s why I’m willing to help you. Food for thought, you know?
Candice turns and leaves Minka alone. She’s seething for a bit before she sees someone with a popcorn cart walk in her direction
Minka Carter: DEMON!!!!!
Minka decides to unleash her anger by chasing the popcorn cart guy into a nearby broom closet. Some thuds and crashes can be heard… and the popcorn cart guy screaming in terror. Minka comes out of the broom closet smirking at what just happened as she looks at the chair that now has a huge dent in it.
Minka Carter: I feel SO much better…”
Minka begins to eat from the popcorn cart, not giving a damn as the scene ends.
Backstage, we see Thalia rolling her neck as she looked at herself in a mirror, limbering up for her match against Sermon Bundy, as she spoke to herself for her upcoming match.
Thalia Starks: "You want a sermon, chile? Church is in service."
She said, with a brief play on words as she began to walk away from the mirror as the camera stayed on her.
Suddenly, she's assaulted from behind as Jessica Anderson runs in and hits her with an elbow across the back of her head.
"Get her, Lily!"
“Oh, right!”
The elbow stumbled Thalia, but Lily knew she had to get her off her feet. Lily delivers a vicious kick to the back of her right left which buckles her and drops her to her knees.
“Help me, Jess!”
Both women grab her head and they deliver a double ddt on the cold floor! The thud was sickening as the B.A.B’s look down at the fallen woman.
“That’s why you NEVER EVER mess with a bad…
The impact against the concrete had knocked Thalia out momentarily, before she began to groan in pain and begin to show signs of movement.
"This is all your fault. Everything was going well until you ruined it for me. All of this started with you!"
Jessica stands over Thalia, shaking her head. Just then Killer Carter arrives, causing the two to run out of the room to avoid her! She looks on after them, knowing that her efforts are better spent checking on Starks rather than giving chase. She kneels beside her and asks if she's okay before we fade out!
