OPENING CONTEST: Yuka Suzuki vs Kamila Rose
Suzuki and Rose circle the ring around each other, going for a Collar-and-Elbow Tie-Up off the bell! Suzuki doesn’t take long to go underhanded, grabbing at Rose’s hair and pulling her down to the mat! She’s quick to capitalize, dropping to the mat with her and getting her into a Grounded Side Headlock! Rose tries her damnedest to escape, pulling herself up to her feet and driving a few right hands into Suzuki’s midsection! This ultimately fails to get her anywhere, however, as Suzuki ceases all attempts at mounting a comeback with a Knee to the midsection! She throws Rose to the ropes now, waiting for her to come back from going for a Clothesline! Rose ducks underneath it however, hitting the ropes again before taking Suzuki down with a Slingblade! Pin by Rose!

Backstage in the Zion Stadium, a camera operator knocked on the office door of Wasteland’s new Co-GM, Caitlyn Jackson-Peters. A calm voice was heard yelling for the knocker to enter the room, and Caitlyn was found sitting behind a desk. A smile came to her face when she saw the camera and its operator come into the room. She pushed herself away from the desk before walking to the front of it, leaning back against it. She had her hair in a bun and was dressed in a casual work skirt with a white top and blazer as well as heels to round off the outfit.
Caitlyn Jackson-Peters: I was wondering when I’d end up with a visit from a camera. Welcome to the office that was set-up for me. For the next few weeks, while Olly is tending to a few other things, I’m the acting general manager.
Caitlyn paused for a moment, brushing a few loose strands of hair from her face. She crossed her arms over her chest before continuing.
Caitlyn Jackson-Peters: Allow me to properly introduce myself, however. I am Caitlyn Jackson-Peters…Olly’s wife and Wasteland’s official new Co-General Manager.
Caitlyn paused once more, the grin that was on her face now turning to a smirk. She looked around the office, briefly, before continuing.
Caitlyn Jackson-Peters: We’ve already had the start of an excellent show, and the rest of the night is going to be just as amazing! Later in the evening, I’ll be announcing something exciting that’s going to be coming to Wasteland.
A final pause as Caitlyn uncrossed her arms, placing her hands behind her on her desk, palms against it.
Caitlyn Jackson-Peters: For now, enjoy the show, and I’ll see all of you later in the evening!
With that, Caitlyn walked around her desk and slid back into the seat as the camera faded out.
MATCH TWO: James August vs Adam Garcia
August approaches the center of the ring at the start of this match, offering Garcia a handshake! Garcia goes for it, with August pulling his hand away and cockily walking right past him! He taunts the booing fans that reprimand him for his disrespect, before turning around right into a Shotgun Dropkick from Garcia! He’s blasted back into the corner, with Garcia railing on him with shots to the head until the referee pulls him away! He gets August back to the center of the ring, taking him down with a Hangman’s Neckbreaker before floating over for the pin! August kicks out at two, but this doesn’t stop Garcia from keeping up the pace! He goes to a corner, waiting for August to attempt to get up before running in for a Punt Kick! But this backfires on Garcia, with August boosting himself up to his feet and turning him inside out with a King Kong Lariat!
August pulls Garcia back to his feet, before throwing him into the corner! Garcia slams into the turnbuckles like a ragdoll, so hard that all the ropes in the ring begin to shake! August gets Garcia up and raises him over his head, rushing to the ropes and throwing him over and to the floor at ringside with a Gorilla Press! The fans go silent in shock, everyone concerned about Garcia’s condition! But August feels no sympathy for what he did, pacing around the ring and taunting the now loudly booing fans as the ten count wears on! We get to a nine, before Garcia throws him into the ring, much to everyone’s surprise, including August! He pulls Garcia to his feet, only for him to pull August down to the mat with an Inside Cradle for a very close near fall! Garcia and August to their feet, with Garcia laying into his opponent with strikes aplenty that leave him in a daze! Garcia hits the ropes, looking to seal the deal! But August counters with a Big Boot! He gets Garcia up, getting him in position before dropping him with Magnum Opus (Crossrhodes)! Pin by August to secure the win!
MATCH THREE: Octavia Black vs Selene Jackson
The match starts with Selene and Octavia meeting in the center, bumping against each other. Octavia gives a cheshire grin up at Selene who essentially dwarfs her in height. Selene looks dismissive as she palms The Artist’s face and shoves her backwards. Octavia takes offense to this and lunges forward. Selene lunges in to meet her and both women lock up, collar and elbow. Octavia immediately shoots for an arm wringer but before she gets it completely torqued, Selene reverses and wrenches hard on that wrist, twisting the arm with pain shooting all the way up to the shoulder. Octavia grimaces in pain, grabbing her shoulder before rolling forward across the mat and kips up, reversing into her own arm wringer. She wastes no time in leaping off the mat and wrapping her legs around Selene, bringing her to the mat with a takedown into a Cross Armbar. Selene kicks and thrashes in the hold, getting her boot on the bottom rope. Octavia holds on until 4 before releasing and rolling back up to her feet. She walks up as Selene starts to rise and mimics what Selene did to her, pie facing her as she’s down on one knee. She does it again, taunting her in Romani. Selene quickly has enough of it and swats her hand out of the way, blasting her in the jaw with a punch. Octavia stumbles back into the ropes and Selene whips her across the ring. Octavia jumps over Selene as the latter dives to the mat. Selene hops to her feet and leap frogs Octavia on the way back before rushing into the ropes and hits a Back Handspring Elbow to Octavia, nailing her in the jaw on the return again. Octavia falls to the mat and Selene covers!

OCTAVIA KICKS OUT!
Selene stands back up over Octavia and slaps her across the back of the head, taunting back before running the ropes and feeds her a Basement Dropkick right to the face. Octavia sits up, looking rocked as Selene nails her with stiff kick to the spine. Then a second. Then a third! As Octavia reels in pain, Selene grabs her up by the hair, dismissing the referee and lifts Octavia for a Vertical Suplex but Octavia manages to slip free and lands behind Selene who turns right into a step up enzuigiri. Selene drops to a knee and Octavia runs the ropes, coming back with a high velocity European Uppercut to the jaw that flattens her onto the mat. Octavia hooks the leg!

SELENE KICKS OUT!
Octavia rises and waits, blasting Selene with a shoot kick to the chest when she sits up and struts around the ring with a swing to her hips as she taunts at the audience. They’re honestly not sure which of the two they should be cheering for here. Octavia turns back to Selene and looks to wrap this up as she goes for a Buzzsaw Kick, causing Selene to duck. Octavia never spins through though as she quickly positions herself and when Selene looks back up, she goes for a Superkick BUT SELENE GRABS HER BY THE BOOT SHE STANDS UP AND PULLS OCTAVIA IN, CATCHING HER WITH “ONE EYE OPEN (TWIST OF FATE)!!!!!” SELENE COVERS!!!!

KICKOUT BY OCTAVIA!!
Selene throws three fingers up to the referee and when he confirms only two, she drops it down to just one. Octavia’s laid out on the mat still as Selene shakes her head at the younger woman. Selene mocks Octavia’s earlier taunt, strutting around and making a face before climbing to the top rope. She comes soaring off the turnbuckle, for “Dragon’s War (630 Corkscrew Senton)” but Octavia just barely rolls out of the way and haphazardly starts scrambling to her feet as Selene rises, clutching her knee. Octavia leaps off the mat from where she stands and nails Selene with a jumping knee strike to the jaw! The taller woman collapses back into the ropes, leaning against the middle as Octavia finds her footing and “frames the picture” with her hands, before running off the ropes, back to the middle of the mat and, from there, comes leaping across the canvas, driving her knee into Selene’s head! “PAINT IT BLACK (V-TRIGGER)!!!!” Selene’s down and crumples from the ropes to the mat! Octavia rolls her onto her back, hooking the outside leg and holds her wrist down on that same side with a rabid look in her eyes aimed right at the camera!

Crybaby: Here is your winner…Le Artiste…OCTAVIA…BLACK!
Matt Mears: Well Ben, what can we say about this young woman other than…
Ben Petrie: Wow! Size doesn’t matter when you’re The Artist. Just gives a bigger canvas to paint on!
“Unsettling Differences” plays as Octavia has her arm raised and tilts her head with a toothy grin before dropping to her knees and leaning against the middle rope as she curls a finger to call the camera over and blows a kiss to screen.
Backstage at the Zion Stadium
Bea Carter: Now is the time to capitalize. I debuted only a little while ago and already I am 1 and 1. I must pick up.
Pick up a better attitude. One that looks forward more than up. Of course for me that will be one in the same, but I cannot deny that there will be difficulties ahead.
I said I was 1 and 1. The 1 loss is to Razzles. I did not underestimate her, I overestimated myself back then. I made a mistake. And I wont do so again.
Forward I must go. To seek higher grounds in this Wasteland and make my name. Etch it in the monuments forever.
That is my promise.

Hunter quickly recovered, hitting VLADISLAV with a devastating corner clothesline. Werner Kuhn tagged in, delivering a series of knife-edge chops and a snap DDT to Hunter. Hunter retaliated with a brutal swinging neckbreaker and tagged in Jesse Bennett. Bennett came in hot with a running forearm smash followed by a snap powerslam. The action intensified as Bennett executed a perfect moonsault, only for Werner to roll out and tag in Dietrich. Dietrich entered the ring, hitting Bennett with a series of European uppercuts followed by a backbreaker.
Bennett fought back with a superkick, staggering Dietrich, but Dietrich countered with a German suplex. The crowd erupted as Kennedy Quinn tagged in, overpowering Dietrich with a King Kong Lariat then a powerbomb. Just as Quinn seemed to dominate, VLADISLAV re-entered the fray, delivering a punishing two-handed chokeslam. Quinn, undeterred, fought back with a military press powerslam. Kevin Hunter quickly tagged back in, delivering a spine breaker followed by a gutbuster to VLADISLAV. But the tide turned when VLADISLAV, with a burst of strength, hit Hunter with a snap powerbomb. This doesn’t bother Mars, however, as she begins to demonstrate a huge amount of strength as she starts to lift Carter up! She gets her into a Powerbomb position, until she notices Melody Slayton coming down the rampway, seemingly content on watching the action up close! Mars is momentarily distracted by Slayton, leaving an opening for Carter to hit a Hurricanrana to reverse! She traps Mars in the Rana pin, with her kicking out before three!
Carter looks to end this one, looking to jump on her with her signature Moonsault! Mars rolls out of the way, causing Carter to land on her feet instead! She goes up top now, launching herself onto Carter with a Peppermint Twist (Sky Twister)! Pin by Mars, securing herself the win!
Just before the main event was set to take place, the scene opened back to the office of the new co-GM of Wasteland. It was clear that Caitlyn was winding down as the show did as her blazer was no longer buttoned. She was just hanging the phone up when she realized that the camera was back on her.
Caitlyn Jackson-Peters: Welcome back to my office, everyone! Before our exciting main event, I believe it’s time that I handle that little announcement I mentioned earlier in the evening, what do you all think?
Placing her elbows on her desk, Caitlyn folded her hands and grinned as she leaned forward a bit.
Caitlyn Jackson-Peters: Wasteland will be receiving a new championship soon! There’s no name for it yet, however..that is still being discussed. And we will be having a tournament to crown the new champion when the time comes!
Caitlyn lightly clapped her hands together, once, before folding them back over one another, coming to rest her chin on the back of them as she did.
Caitlyn Jackson-Peters: Now then! With that being announced, I’m sure you’re all wondering who we’re going to see in it, right? Well, we’ve seen quite a few of them in action tonight!
Another pause as Caitlyn licked her lips, giving everything a few more seconds to sink in before she continued once more.
Caitlyn Jackson-Peters: Those we’ll see in this tournament include Bea Carter, Hideo Watanabe, Cosmic Tora Onna, MUD, Octavia Black, Yuka Suzuki, Selene Jackson, and TATER!
Caitlyn leaned back in her chair again before clapping her hands together once more.
Caitlyn Jackson-Peters: More details will come as the time for the tournament gets closer, of course! It’s going to be action packed, and I know everyone will give it their all! Now then…enjoy our main event of the evening, and thank you for watching this week’s Wasteland!
The camera faded out, Caitlyn being done with the needed to be addressed business for the evening.

The pace of the match intensified, with MUD hitting a devastating Discus Lariat, almost decapitating Jenna.
