OPENING CONTEST: VLADISLAV vs Samuel Lopez
Crybaby: Ladies and gentlemen, the following match is scheduled for one fall…
Crowd: ONE FALL!!
The opening to "Enjoy The Silence" by Lacuna Coil begins to play over the PA system as the arena plunges into darkness. As soon as the guitar and drums kick in, a spotlight appears on the stage to find Samuel Lopez standing there with "Father" standing behind him at a distance. Samuel then begins to slowly make his way down the ramp while "Father" follows.
Crybaby: Introducing first…weighing in at 240 pounds and hailing from Hayesville, North Carolina…
Once he reaches the ring, Samuel slides under the bottom rope on his front and moves his way to the center of the ring on his closed fists until he reaches the center while "Father" stops at the foot of the entrance ramp. Samuel then slowly stands upright as the camera zooms in on his wide, blank stare into the camera as "Father" watches on and "Enjoy The Silence" fades out.
Crybaby: He’s accompanied by Father…SAMUEL LOPEZ!!!
The sound of the drum beating as the choir begins to sing a live rendition of “O Fortuna”. At this point, VLADISLAV has slowly made his way out to the stage. Wasteland Championship around his waist. He looks around at the crowd before he slowly begins the march down to the ring.
Semper crescis

Et tunc curat

Crybaby: And introducing his opponent, from Warsaw, Poland and weighing in tonight at three hundred and fifty pounds…
He has reached the bottom of the ramp at this point as the Choir continues to sing and the orchestra continues to play, giving him the true aura that he strives for… The Final Boss has arrived. At this point, VLADISLAV looks around before his eyes settle on Samuel. At that moment, the song really kicks in and pyro begins to go off behind VLADISLAV as he begins to make his way up the stairs and into the ring.
Crybaby: He is “Professional Wrestling’s Final Boss”...VLAAAAAADISLAAAAV!
The bell sounded, and the two men stood in the middle of the ring, staring each other down. Neither man made a move at first, a glare on VLADISLAV’s face while Samuel’s face remained stoic, not giving anything away. Finally, after a few more tense moments, VLADISLAV grabbed Samuel and spiked him down with a brutal DDT. Samuel got back to his feet as if the DDT didn’t phase him, and he caught VLADISLAV with a headbutt that sent the other man taking a few steps back. VLADISLAV shook his head for a second before re-focusing on Samuel who was already stalking the other man. Samuel grabbed VLADISLAV, going for a German suplex, but VLADISLAV was able to counter it into a German suplex of his own!
Matt Mears: Nice counter by VLADISLAV there, but he’s going to have his hands full with Samuel Lopez.
Ben Petrie: Going to? That weirdo and his family have done nothing but cause trouble for VLADISLAV and Schadenfreude since showing up on Wasteland. The former and current champions certainly don’t deserve any of that!
VLADISLAV made it back to his feet, and stared Lopez down again before going at him for a big boot. The boot connected, and Lopez fell back on the mat though he wasn’t down for long before getting back to his feet again. VLADISLAV looked at him, shaking his head as he thought about what it would take to keep the other man down. Samuel came back at VLADISLAV, hitting him with a spike DDT. VLADISLAV went down, holding his head after the impact from the move delivered by Lopez. He got back to his feet only to be met with an attempt at Silent Night from Samuel. VLADISLAV was able to duck before spinning Lopez around, nailing him with a vicious snap powerbomb! Lopez hit the mat and rolled to the ropes to pull himself up.
Matt Mears: Quick thinking from the former Wasteland Champion with that snap powerbomb.
Ben Petrie: That powerbomb seemed like it had a little extra oomph behind it. I can imagine after everything the last few weeks, VLADISLAV is ready to put Lopez behind him.
VLADISLAV briefly glanced at Father, who was still standing at the end of the ramp and watching on. He shook his head at the mysterious figure before turning his attention back to Samuel, but that brief bit of time had allowed Lopez to get back to his feet. The stoic look on Samuel’s face was still there, meanwhile it was clear that VLADISLAV was beginning to get a little irritated with the other man. He grabbed Lopez and threw him into the corner, making sure that the man slammed against the turnbuckles roughly before following after him, VLADISLAV executed what would, normally, be a devastating Standing Death onto Lopez’s chest. The eerie man winced and exhaled from the impact, but he didn’t let on that it affected him much beyond that.
Matt Mears: What is with this guy?! Had that been anyone else, they would have crumpled in the corner!
Ben Petrie: Exactly…if it had been anyone else. We all know that Samuel Lopez is not like the rest of the roster. He can take on an unusual amount of damage, and he can dish it back out just the same.
VLADISLAV pulled Lopez out of the corner, only somewhat surprised that the man hadn’t gone limp like other opponents in the past had done. He knew that he was dealing with a different force when it came to Lopez. VLADISLAV moved to catch Samuel with a neckbreaker, but Lopez was able to shove him off before he could swing him around. As VLADISLAV came back around, Samuel caught him and hit Hush, spiking the other man down hard. Lopez made his way to the downed VLADISLAV before locking in Enjoy the Silence. VLADISLAV fought against the hold until Samuel cinched it in more, applying more pressure. VLADISLAV continued to fight though it was clear that he was fading. Once VLADISLAV had faded, the referee lifted his arm to check, watching as it fell down. The referee signaled for the bell to ring, signaling the end of the match.
WINNER: Samuel Lopez
RESULT: Submission (Enjoy the Silence)
Wasteland cameras are backstage, following Logan Traeger as he intensely gazes forward in preparation for his Gateway Championship match this evening. Upon coming to a corner where another corridor of the building opens up, he comes to a complete halt as Jenna Sharpe and himself almost collide. The silence between them creates an uncertain air of what could happen next. It’s Logan who pauses, staring her in her eyes long enough to offer a head nod and some words.
Logan Traeger: Miss Sharpe…
He then moves his neck slight and methodical, looking forward with a smirk.
Logan Traeger: My condolences for your reign tonight, but just as the name implies, I believe you have reached the end of your Gateway, and thus can move on to whatever is next. I am at the entrance, ready to level up. There’s nothing about you that I dislike, which means that everything that happens in there, it will be respectfully and strictly business.
The champ smiles back at him, the title gleaming on her shoulder as she looks up at her next challenger.
Jenna Sharpe: Mr. Traeger. I’m glad to hear that this is just business to you - because it’s the same for me. I’ve done my research, watched a few of your matches, and I know that you have every reason to be so confident.
Jenna shifts the title further up on her shoulder, her eyes never leaving Logan.
Jenna Sharpe: However.
She takes a moment to glance at the title, then back at her opponent for tonight.
Jenna Sharpe: When I won this title, I did so by outlasting an entire battle royale. Some of the best competitors in Zion were in there, and as of right now? I’ve held this title for over sixty days. At the end of this month, I’ll have crossed the ninety-day threshold - which means that after that? I can get a match for any title in this company, whenever I want it. And I have spent so much of my career stumbling at the finish line, but not now. Not with the Gateway Championship.
Stepping closer to him, she takes the title off her shoulder and holds it up so he can get a good look.
Jenna Sharpe: There’s two ways you’re getting this title - after I cash in, or over my dead body.
Logan just nods, still smirking.
Logan Traeger: If that’s the way you want it, Miss Sharpe… I’m happy to oblige.
He gives her a nod and heads off toward the locker room to prepare for the match as we go elsewhere.
MATCH TWO: ZION GATEWAY CHAMPIONSHIP
Logan Traeger vs Jenna Sharpe ©
Jenna looked at Logan carefully as the bell sounded, knowing that she wasn’t going to be able to just lock up with him. She nodded to herself as the two started circling each other, both watching one another closely as they did. Traeger came at Sharpe, looking for a quick DDT, but Jenna was able to just get out of his reach. She came back at him with a superkick, getting her leg up enough to catch him just under the chin! He gripped where her foot connected, and scowled at her though the look wasn’t on his face for long. She threw a hard kick into his abdomen, causing him to double over as the wind was kicked out of him. Jenna tried to go for a snap DDT, but Logan was about to get her off of him before she could execute the move.
Matt Mears: Logan shaking Jenna off pretty quick before she could catch him there…smart move on his end.
Ben Petrie: What’s going to matter is how he takes the opening he made for himself. Sharpe isn’t going to be an easy win for Traeger, especially with the Gateway Championship on the line.
Jenna could be seen saying something under her breath, but no one could make out what it was. She turned around to face Logan again only to be met with a discus clothesline from him, sending her flat to the mat. Sharpe started getting back to her feet, but Traeger didn’t allow her to finish doing it on her own, grabbing her by the hair and pulling her up the rest of the way. The referee admonished him for grabbing her hair, and he released her once she was back to her feet, holding his hands up to the referee. He grabbed her, going for a German suplex, but Jenna was able to counter with a German suplex of her own, sending Logan crashing to the mat. Jenna took a moment to catch her breath before getting back to her feet once more.
Matt Mears: What a German suplex from Jenna!
Ben Petrie: The champion demonstrating her strength tonight with that powerful counter onto her challenger.
Logan pushed himself back up, a look of irritation briefly crossing his face. It was clear that he was determined to take the title from Jenna, but he knew that he was going to have to bring it harder if he wanted to be successful in doing so. Jenna ran at him, looking to try and take him down, but before she could get the chance to do anything, Logan was able to side step her. Sharpe caught herself on the ropes before hitting the turnbuckles, but Traeger was right behind her. He grabbed her and hit a brutal gutwrench powerbomb, slamming her to the mat hard. Her back arched up at the impact, but Jenna crawled to the ropes after a moment, determined to get back to her feet.
Crowd: LET’S GO JENNA! LET’S GO LOGAN! LET’S GO JENNA! LET’S GO LOGAN!
Jenna pushed herself off of the ropes, catching a second wind of sorts as the fans cheered her on. Logan came at her again, but she dodged him then nailed him with a low dropkick to the back of the knee, taking him down to one. She managed to get behind him and catch him with a powerful bulldog, slamming his head and face down hard. He shook his head a few times, taking a few moments to pull himself together before pushing back to his feet. He went at her, going for a cradle suplex, but Sharpe was able to shift the momentum! She caught him with a vicious DDT, spiking him down once more! She quickly moved around before getting Devil’s Trap locked in! Traeger fought against the submission, but Sharpe wrenched back on him more, locking the hold in deeper. Finally, Logan had no choice but to submit to Jenna’s hold.
Crybaby: Here is your winner and STILL the Gateway Champion…JENNA SHARPE!!
WINNER: Jenna Sharpe (AND STILL)
RESULT: Submission (Devil’s Trap)
MATCH THREE: Hideo Watanabe vs Ayu Megumi
Megumi skips the feeling out process from the sound of the bell, rushing up to Watanabe and nailing him with a Shotgun Dropkick that sends him colliding with the turnbuckles! Megumi doesn’t waste a second of time after realizing she has Watanabe exactly where she wants him, going back to her corner and rushing towards him again, this time with a Corner Cannonball! She pulls him out to the center of the ring, going for the pin!
ONE…!
TW–
Kick out by Watanabe! Megumi doesn’t hesitate to keep moving, realizing that giving Watanabe any window to gain momentum is a death sentence! She gets him, lifting him for a Vertical Suplex! But Watanabe is able to reverse, landing on his feet before dropping down with Megumi in tow for a Neckbreaker! He keeps hold of Megumi following the move, however, seeing the perfect opportunity as he rolls through, picks her up, and drops her with a Deadlift Suplex! Megumi is extremely quick to roll out of the ring, not wanting to give Watanabe another inch in this one! Watanabe is thinking the same way, however, knowing that not staying on top of Megumi will just give her a license to take control of this match again! He goes towards the ropes, looking to exit the ring and go after Megumi! But she’s able to capitalize off of this, hopping onto the apron and catching Watanabe with a Legsweep! She then jumps over the top rope, connecting with a Slingshot Senton to Watanabe before going for the pin!
ONE…!
TWO…!
Kick out by Watanabe! Megumi isn’t as frustrated with this as one would assume, with her seemingly only using these pin attempts as a means of testing the effectiveness of her offense! She goes to the top rope, looking to connect with a diving move that will hopefully be more effective than the last! But Watanabe is able to catch up with her, jumping to the top rope and nailing Megumi with a set of strikes to keep her from going through with her planned attack! He eventually works her into position, dropping her to the mat with a Spider Suplex before pulling himself back to a vertical position on the top rope! He uses his newly earned lone status on top to go aerial himself, looking for a Diving Moonsault! But Megumi gets out of the way, leading to Watanabe rolling back on the mat and rolling to his feet! He rushes towards Megumi to keep his momentum going, only for her to cut him off with a Claymore Kick!
It’s now Watanabe who rolls out of the ring, but Megumi already seems to have a solution, hitting the ropes and looking for a Suicide Dive! Megumi lunges right into Watanabe’s arms, as he catches her by surprise via catching her out of midair! He immediately uses this newfound advantage, throwing Megumi into the barricade with a Belly-to-Belly Suplex! Both competitors are laid out as the referee’s count wears on, now getting to seven! Watanabe starts to move, with Megumi remaining still as the referee gets to eight! The official gets to nine now, with Watanabe leaping under the bottom rope! However, he spots Megumi still not moving, rolling out of the ring right before ten and forcing the referee to restart their count!
This attempt to win the match with no excuses proves costly, however, with Megumi pushing Watanabe back into the apron as he attempts to scoop her up! She follows up, nailing Watanabe with an Enziguri! Watanabe has jelly legs next to the ring now, with Megumi pushing him under the bottom rope and back inside! She goes to the apron now, waiting for Watanabe to get to her feet before flipping over for the Ethereal Blade! She jumps forward to complete the Buckshot Lariat, only to be caught with a Cutter by Watanabe! He transitions right into the Dragon Sleeper for Call an Oni! Megumi seems to be in trouble now, with Watanabe having the move wrenched in deep! But as a consequence of the move, Watanabe and Megumi are too close to the ropes, with Megumi getting a foot on the rope and forcing the official to break it up!
Watanabe is frustrated now, rolling out onto the apron and now waiting for Megumi to get up! He jumps from the top rope, looking for Blood on the Sword! But Megumi reverses, catching Watanabe out of midair with Ryo No Ikari! Superkick out of midair! Megumi covers!
ONE…!
TWO…!
THREE-
Kick out by Watanabe! Now Megumi becomes frustrated, thinking that one had to be it! She goes to the top rope, looking to put this one away with Leap! She goes off the top rope, with the move seemingly a lock! But this is when Usagi Takemoto decides to make her presence well known, grabbing Watanabe’s ankle from under the bottom rope and pulling him out of the way of the move! Megumi crashes and burns on the mat, with Watanabe soon getting up and realizing what’s happened! Megumi attempts to get up, only to be caught with a Superkick from Watanabe! He goes to the top rope now, launching off and nailing Wrath of a Shogun! Sky Twister Press connects! Pin by Watanabe!
ONE…!
TWO…!
THREE!!
WINNERS: Hideo Watanabe
Cameras go backstage where Audrey Abrams stands with Lee Kincade, suited up in her gear and ready for her match coming up.
Audrey Abrams: Ladies and gentlemen, Audrey Abrams here. I’m standing with the number one contender to the Zion Ascension Championship. The one and only, real deal - often imitated, never duplicated - Lee Kincade.
Lee throws the horns with a pursed lipped smile before holding onto the lapels of her leather vest, shifting from side to side on her feet in excitement.
Audrey Abrams: Now Lee, you seem very excited and ready to go tonight. How are you feeling?
Lee Kincade: I feel great, Audrey! This is my first ever booking on pay per view. I’m so excited I can barely sit still!
Adding credence to that, Lee hops on her feet some. The chains and buckles on her vest rattling and her tinted sunglasses almost fall off her face but she catches them and adjusts them before shifting around again. Audrey can’t help but smile.
Audrey Abrams: What does it mean for you, in your first pay per view match, to be competing for a championship. You’re second generation, I understand, yes? Do you feel any pressure? Is there a reputation you need to live up to?
Lee takes a deep breath and lets it out.
Lee Kincade: I mean…I’d be lying if I said I didn’t feel like there is? My dad spent his career on the independent circuit. Big Joe Kincade. He never got the call up to the big leagues here like I did so when he tells me he’s proud of me for making it, I can’t help but worry about letting him down. Him and my brother. Hi Eren! Hi Arwen!
Audrey Abrams: Well, it’s obvious you have a load of support. Your family’s rooting for you, you’ve gained a pretty decent fan following since breaking onto the scene.
Lee Kincade: Hey, Real recognizes Real!
Audrey Abrams: Real recognizes Real, yes.
Lee Kincade: I should hashtag that…
Lee’s thought train trails off as she taps her chin, looking off into the distance and nods to herself as if she’s just made an epiphany. Audrey’s voice snaps her back to the present.
Audrey Abrams: Now you’ve had a match with the champion, Lily Blaise before. Granted, it didn’t quite go the way you hoped. What will be different about tonight’s match?
Getting right back on track of where she needs to be, Lee adjusts her entrance gear as she speaks.
Lee Kincade: I mean listen, Lily Blaise has been a phenomenal champion. The first Ascension Champion of Zion. She’s put this title on the map! She’s beaten some of the best that have come for it. Abigail Lindsay and of course Risa Lemon, just to name a couple. I’m gonna try to stay humble but put myself up on a small pedestal though. I’m gonna use an old cliche adage and say that Lily? You haven’t had a title defense against someone like me before. Everyone else? They’ve had their moment before. They’ve tasted success. Me? I know I’m still the new kid on the block here on Wasteland. I’m hungry. I’m a growing star and I need to be fed. I’ve caught the scent of championship gold and I wanna know how it tastes. I make no excuses for my loss in our last match together but one on one is a different environment than tag team wrestling. You’re gonna have to put all your focus on me because believe me I’ve got every bit of my attention on you. I’ve studied you. I respect you. But I want my moment and I want it tonight. I’m coming for that Ascension Championship.
She turns to Audrey, smiling slightly.
Lee Kincade: ’Scuse me, Audrey!
She moves past the interviewer and starts heading down the hallway. Audrey watches her go then turns back towards the camera.
Audrey Abrams: There you have it! Matt. Ben. Back to you!
MATCH FOUR: ASCENSION CHAMPIONSHIP
Lee Kincade vs Lily Blaise ©
Crybaby: Ladies and gentlemen, the following match is for the Ascension Championship and scheduled for one fall…
Crowd: ONE FALL!!
The lights in the arena dim down as the slow build to the music is heard. Cameras focus on the stage and curtain as a spotlight settles on the curtain while the lyrics to Beartooth’s “DOUBT ME” begin, building towards the hard hitting chorus. The instant Caleb Shomo screams the words “DOUBT ME”, Lee Kincade comes bursting onto the stage to a pop from the crowd, horns raised in the air.
♫♫Remember every time you
DOUBT ME!
It makes me stronger than before
When you DOUBT ME!
It fuels the fire even more
So give me all you’ve got
I can’t wait to watch you rot
If there’s one thing you should ever learn about me
Don’t ever fucking DOUBT ME!♫♫
She hops around on stage to the chorus, playing up to the crowd. As the instrumental break leads into the second verse, Lee walks briskly down to the ring, a hand outstretched for the fans as she passes by. As she reaches ringside, she runs and hops upon the apron on one knee, then quickly climbs the turnbuckle, one foot on top, the other on the middle and throws the horns up again with a howl to the crowd.
Crybaby: Introducing first, weighing in at 126 pounds and hailing from San Bernadino, California…
She steps down into the ring from the turnbuckle and runs the ropes for a couple of passes before moving to her corner and removing her entrance gear. As she passes it to the outside, she leans back against the turnbuckle, waiting.
Crybaby: She is the challenger…LEE KINCADE!!!
The crowd starts cheering in anticipation for the arrival of the defending Zion Ascension Champion, however her music doesn’t begin playing and instead a single note of a jewelry box can be heard echoing through the sound system. Slowly the lights dim to their usual shades of neon green and red as they do for Lily Blaise, but rather than seeing the champion, a cloaked figure with a black veil covering their face makes their way onto the stage. What’s even stranger is that this person is holding the Zion Ascension Championship set to be defended in mere moments, cradling it in their hands. As the eerie tune continues, the veiled gaze lowers to the title, a hum accompanying it before…
Lily Blaise??: All I neeeed
Is your love tonight
All I neeeeeeeed
Is your love tonight
The veiled figure’s head tilts up and to the side, now partially looking towards the ring and to all those watching.
Lily Blaise??: Umbrae vocare te…
With the final word spoken, the lights go dark, fans desperately flashing their phone lights to see if they can capture anything but the stage is empty once again.
Suddenly the usual sounds of “The Best” by AWOLNATION can be heard which brings the crowd out of their shocked state and back to life. As the music kicks in, the lights brighten to their usual state and on the stage is the champion Lily Blaise in her usual gear, shades, and hoodie all smiles, albeit with a slight bit of confusion as to what just happened. Still, she soaks in the roaring adulation from the fans before heading on down the ramp, Ascension Championship proudly draped over her right shoulder. Lily rolls into the ring underneath the bottom rope, rising to her feet in order to pose with the championship belt once again. Not one for so much showboating, she gives a wave of acknowledgement to the adoring crowd after lowering the title, and then sets her focus on the task at hand.
The two women locked up as soon as the bell sounded, not wanting to wait to get the action going. Lee managed to get Lily locked in a side headlock a few moments after they two locked up, but she quickly switched to throwing the champion into the corner instead. Blaise’s back slammed against the turnbuckles as Kincade came running after her. Lee nailed Lily with a Yakuza kick in the corner! Lily grabbed at her face where the kick connected as she stumbled out of the corner, but Lee wasted no time in coming after her again. Blaise was quick to duck a roundhouse kick that was coming her way as she turned around, and she took Kincade’s legs from under her with a legsweep, sending the challenger to the mat.
Matt Mears: Blaise showing why she’s the Ascension Champion with that quick thinking on her part.
Ben Petrie: Lily has been an excellent champion, but she’s got quite the challenger in Lee. The up and comer is looking to prove her worth tonight.
Both women grinned as they got back to their feet and looked at one another. Lily nodded lightly in Lee’s direction, a grin coming to Blaise’s face as she looked at her opponent. Kincade charged at Blaise, looking to go for a sling blade, but Lily was able to side step her. Kincade stopped her momentum before she crashed into the ropes. Before she could turn around, Lily grabbed Lee in a back-to-belly suplex, sending her flying across the ring. Kincade let out a groan when she hit the mat, but she pushed herself up, getting to her feet after a few moments. She was determined not to go down that easy. Lily came at Lee, looking to swing her into the turnbuckles. Kincade was able to counter, hitting Blaise with Steady Pensive instead! She quickly pinned the champion, and the referee slid to the mat.
ONE…
TWO…
TH-
No! Lily kicked out at two and a half, much to Lee’s disappointment! Kincade got back to her feet as did Blaise though the champion was moving a little slower. Lee went for another roundhouse kick, and Lily wasn’t able to duck under this one, catching it full force. She ended up against the ropes, and Kincade quickly followed her. Blaise was lifted up for a sitout powerbomb, but she was able to counter the attempt into a hurricanrana, sending Lee crashing to the mat hard. Lily bounced back up to her feet and ran at Lee and caught her with a vicious running DDT, spiking her down roughly. Kincade held her head, shaking it some in her hand as she used the ropes to pull herself back up. She spotted Blaise coming at her, but she was able to side step her, leaving the champion to catch herself on the ropes.
Crowd: THIS IS AWESOME! THIS IS AWESOME! THIS IS AWESOME!
Lily pushed herself off of the ropes and turned towards Lee only to be swept into a swinging fireman’s neckbreaker. Kincade went to grab Blaise to pull her to her feet, but the champion rolled under the ropes to get a breather. Lee backed off until Lily stood up, and then she went to grab the champion again. Blaise quickly grabbed Kincade’s head then let her feet go from under her, catching the challenger on the ropes. As Lee fell back, Lily quickly slid back into the ring, ready to take advantage of what she had done. She pulled Lee up, quickly moving to hit her with a Snap Headlock Driver. From there, Blaise got Kincade again only to execute a beautiful Timeless Beauty, the referee sliding to the mat to count the pin attempt.
ONE…
TWO…
THREE…!!
Crybaby: Here is your winner, and STILL the Ascension Champion…LILY BLAISE!!
WINNER: Lily Blaise (#ANDSTILL)
RESULT: Pinfall (Timeless Beauty)
The shot opens up inside the locker room of Marcus Uriah Dunne. This is made, immediately clear, by the picture of him and his wife Zara (with her holding their pet chicken, Henrietta), taped inside his locker door. Off camera, there’s a low, slow, rhythmic thudding on hollow metal. The camera slowly pans over with the thudding getting closer until a pair of legs in black pants and boots comes into frame. The camera pauses…then slowly pans up until we see one taped hand resting against the side of the locker while the other, formed in a fist, punches the locker. Not hard or angrily…but the look on Marcus’ face is focused and locked in on the task at hand tonight.
A moment later, there’s a knocking on the door. When MUD doesn’t immediately respond, the knocking gets louder. Then louder. Louder! Eventually, it becomes evident that whoever’s knocking isn’t so much knocking with their first but more than likely slamming their foot into the door over and over.
Yennefer Filth: YO MARKY MARK! PUT YOUR FUCKING DINGY AWAY DUDE! WE GOTTA GO!
The crowd watching busts out laughing as the voice of MUD’s tag team partner calls from outside the locker room.
Immediately, Marcus pulls his head away from the locker and turns, rolling his eyes. He brushes passed the camera and walks up, practically yanking the door open.
MUD: ”WHAT?!”
Yenn jumps back a bit, startled at the abrupt opening of the door and shouting of her partner. But she steps back in and double handed slaps him in the chest.
Yennefer Filth: YOU FUCKING READY?!
MUD: ”I’M FUCKING READY!”
Marcus snaps back at her and stares intently down at the girl. One might almost think they were about to fight each other right here until he slowly brings up his arm, fist clenched between them.
Yenn sneers up at her partner before slowly forming it into a grin and bumps her forearm against his.
Yennefer Filth: Let’s fucking do this shit then…
She steps back, giving MUD a berth to step out of his locker room before the two start walking together through the arena, headed for Gorilla.
As they walk, Marcus looks into the camera and starts racking his fist against his jaw, talking through clenched teeth.
MUD: ”Schadenfreude. You boys ain’t fucking ready for this shit!”
Following close behind him, Yenn says nothing. She just snorts in deep and spits right into the camera, obscuring the view. The cameraman hastily reaches around with a napkin to wipe the lens off just in time to catch the two storming through a backstage door, headed for the ring…
We cut backstage to the locker room belonging to the Wasteland Tag Team Champions, Schadenfreude, where we see Dietrich Kühn finishing taping his wrists up as his brother Werner arrives.
Dietrich Kühn: Bruder…
The two siblings clasp hands together and knock shoulders.
Dietrich Kühn: So… have you told Heidi yet?
Just then, Schadenfreude’s manager and Werner’s wife, Heidi Krauss comes into view with a quizzical expression on her face, obviously catching what her brother-in-law just asked her husband. She looked at her brother in-law for a moment before her gaze rounded to her husband. She placed a hand on her hip as she spoke.
Heidi Krauss: Told me what, meine liebe?
Heidi raised an eyebrow as she watched her husband, waiting for an answer. Werner strokes his right hand over his face before then taking hold of his wife’s hand and looking deep into her eyes.
Werner Kühn: With everything that has been going on lately involving this… Lopez Family? I…
Werner shares a brief glance with his brother before shifting his focus back to his wife.
Werner Kühn: ...we are worried about you. We don’t think you should be out there with us tonight… just in case they show up.
Heidi looked between the brothers standing in front of her. She licked her lips as she took her hand back from Werner, quickly shaking her head.
Heidi Krauss: That's even more reason for me to be out there! Do the two of you really think I'm going to leave you on your own out there?!
Normally, Heidi was a very put together woman…minus when she went at Thotline Miami after they opened their mouths about her. She moved away from her husband and began to lightly pace in the locker room, still shaking her head as she continued.
Heidi Krauss: You both know that I am more than capable of handling myself. I showed that back home.
She paused her pacing, looking from her brother in-law to her husband once more. She walked to Werner, a fire in her eyes as she spoke.
Heidi Krauss: Do they spook me? Yes, but I am not leaving you and Dietrich to handle them alone. We are in this together… there is no other way, whether the two of you like it or not.
Heidi then turns on her heel and marches out of the room as Dietrich walks up to his older brother and pats him on the shoulder.
Dietrich Kühn: She’s always been a feisty one, Bruder.
A slight smirk appears on Werner’s face as he nods in agreement.
Werner Kühn: One of the many reasons why I married her. Come on… time to show why we’re the best tag team on this roster.
Dietrich Kühn: Ja. Let’s do this.
The Kühn brothers then disappear off camera, following Heidi… but then the camera catches something in the background as it begins to slowly zoom in on a slightly open door as we see that Sylvia Lopez had been there watching the trio the entire time as we cut elsewhere.
MATCH FIVE: WASTELAND TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIPS

Crybaby: Ladies and gentlemen, the following match is scheduled for the Wasteland Tag Team Championships and is for one fall…
Crowd: ONE FALL!!
I am the new way to go.
I am the way of the future.
I am the new way to go.
I am the way of the future.
Crybaby: Introducing first, the challengers at a combined weight of 345 pounds…
"After The Flesh" by My Life With The Thrill Kill Kult builds over the speakers. As the guitar kicks in, the arena darkens with flashing strobe lights all around, giving the entire area the vibe of a thrash concert. Cameras switch between the arena to backstage at two different points in the building. On one, the camera follows Marcus Uriah Dunne as he storms briskly through the halls, coming to one door. On another, the camera finds Yennefer Filth bopping to the music, lightly headbanging as she comes to stand at another door.
There's a lot of innocent people...
Being crucified
Crybaby: They are Marcus Uriah Dunne and Yennefer Filth…MUD AND FILTH!!
Both doors burst open, bringing Marcus and Yennefer out into the upper stands on the same side of the arena and the fans around them pop as the team of MUD & Filth looks around at the rowdy environment with approval. The two partners look to the side, spotting each other at their doors and nod before collectively storming down the steps towards the ring. MUD & Filth hop over the barricade to ringside. Filth climbs up to the top turnbuckle and starts headbanging with her hair along with the thrashing guitar riff while MUD makes his usual half lap around the ring, talking trash into the camera before climbing up onto the apron and stepping into the ring. The two meet in the center of the ring and fist bump before moving to their corner as their music fades.
Crybaby: And the champions…
The lights in the arena go out as the opening to Ludwig van Beethoven's "Symphony No. 5" begins to play and we see the silhouettes of Werner and Dietrich Kühn standing side by side on the stage with their arms behind their backs. After a few moments, the lights return to normal and the Kühn brothers begin to saunter their way down the ramp, looking around at the fans in attendance with looks of disgust on their faces and with raised eyebrows as the camera briefly shifts to ringside where we see their manager, Heidi Krauss with a microphone in hand.
Heidi Krauss: Meine Damen und Herren! Making their way to the ring! Sie sind das größte Tag-Team der Welt! Schadenfreude!
Once the Kühn brothers reach the bottom of the ramp, they make their way up the steel steps and walk along the ring apron before wiping their feet and then they climb through the ropes. Moving towards the center of the ring, they place their arms behind their backs again, almost like they're standing to attention as "Symphony No. 5" fades out.
Dietrich and Werner watched MUD and Yennefer with disdain as their challengers began playing a game of rock, paper, scissors to see who would start off. When the brothers saw that Yenn would start, they quietly spoke amongst themselves for a moment before nodding. Werner exited the ring, and Dietrich smirked as he eyed Yenn for a second. The two began circling each other, and Yenn went for a quick dropkick. She caught Dietrich off-guard with it, causing him to stumble back a few steps which brought a smirk to her face. Dietrich shook off the dropkick, a scowl on his face as he looked at Yennefer. He went after her, catching her with a back elbow strike that sent her taking several steps back herself.
Matt Mears: Yennefer may have gotten the first strike with the dropkick, but I’m not surprised that Dietrich didn’t take it quietly.
Ben Petrie: A brutal back elbow from one half of the tag team champions. Did you see their faces at the start of the match? I don’t think they appreciated MUD & Filth deciding who would start the match with a child’s game.
Yenn licked her lips before she went at Dietrich again, catching him with a vicious roundhouse kick, but it wasn’t enough to send Dietrich down. He moved his bottom jaw around for a moment before coming back with a European uppercut followed by a German suplex. Yennefer’s back arched up simply from the impact, but she didn’t let out any noise of pain, instead getting back to her feet after a couple of seconds. She threw a glance at Dietrich before looking back to her corner, grinning when she saw MUD motioning for her to tag him in. She laughed at Dietrich, who realized a split second too late, as she tagged MUD in. MUD got in the ring and immediately took Dietrich down with a quick spinebuster.
Matt Mears: Beautiful spinebuster from Dunne as he gets into the match for the first time!
Ben Petrie: Dietrich and Werner aren’t going to take kindly to that, and we all know that.
Dietrich had managed to roll away from MUD before any other damage could be inflicted. MUD stalked after the champion, but Werner leaned down and tagged himself in before his brother could be caught again. Werner managed to dodge an attempt at a discus lariat from MUD before catching him with a knife edge chop when he turned around. The sound from the chop echoed in the arena, and quite a few of the fans in the audience winced at the noise. MUD grinned at Werner before grabbing him, throwing him into the ropes. As Werner came back at him, MUD grabbed him then caught him with a brutal pop-up headbutt, leaving the champion walking on slightly wobbly feet while he tried to get his wits back about him.
Crowd: MUD AND FILTH! MUD AND FILTH! MUD AND FILTH!
Werner, now back on steady footing, went at MUD and spiked him down with a snap DDT. MUD got back to his feet a couple of seconds later, determined not to stay down for long. The two began exchanging blows…left, right, left, right, and so on. Werner caught MUD with a resounding forearm smash that left the other man staggering a bit. MUD turned to look at Yenn in hopes of a tag, but she was nowhere to be seen on the ring apron! Dietrich had gone to the other team’s corner and yanked her down! As he threw Yenn into the barricade then the steel steps, Werner caught a distracted MUD with a vicious backbreaker. Dietrich was back in his corner, and Werner tagged him in before getting MUD in position while Dietrich climbed the turnbuckles. Once they were set up, Dietrich leapt off, hitting MUD with Lang Lebe Schadenfreude! Dietrich quickly went for the pin, and the referee slid to the mat.

MAIN EVENT: WASTELAND CHAMPIONSHIP
Razzles Mars vs Melody Slayton ©
Crybaby: Ladies and gentlemen, the main event is scheduled for the Wasteland Championship and is for one fall…
Crowd: ONE FALL!!
A pulsing beat of light flickers the stage and the fans in hues of pink. It flashes, before the howling starting notes of "Strawberry Shake" by POP LEVI reverberate through the PA system.
AWOOOOOOOOOOOO!
The beat increases, as "Strawberry Shake" gets into its energetic beat. Razzles Mars excitedly rushes out past the velvet lined curtains, a lollipop's stick seen prodding from between her lips. She bounces on the stage, hands clapping in time with the beat, hyping up the crowd.
Crybaby: On her way to the ring, hailing from The Candy Kingdom, weighing in at...
He pauses, some visible confusion on his face leading to Razzles, who is half-way down the ramp watching with wide eyes, nodding and encouraging Lawson.
Razzles Mars: You got this, mate! Out with it! You can do it!
Crybaby: 13,607.771 sugar packets... this is Raaaaaazzzzzzzles Maaaaarrsss!
Razzles Mars: YOU DID IT!
She calls out excitedly from outside of the ring, undoing the attachments of her entrance jacket and skirt. She collects a few high fives from the fans in attendance, before excitedly climbing the stairs. Taking a moment to pose for pictures before bending into the ring through the ropes, rebounding herself off the bottom rope to catapult herself into the center of the ring with a very flouncy twirl. Striking a pose with her arms voguing, her chin placed on her bridged fingers before "Strawberry Shake" began to fade in the distance.
Crybaby: And introducing her opponent…
The lights in the arena dim as the first beats of "Whatever It Takes" by Hollywood Undead start ringing out across the sound system.
I do whatever it takes to make it
Break through anything I'm face to face with
It's true, you gon' make me lose my patience
'Cause victory is mine and I'mma take it
Melody Slayton steps out from behind the curtain, a cocky smirk on her face as the crowd begins to boo. She points out toward the crowd, then drops to one knee and poses, bringing her hands together to make a heart - before making a retching noise and standing up, making rude motions to the crowd.
Crybaby: Hailing from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, weighing in at 108 pounds…
So put your hands up high
Now wave them side to side
Now when I pull out the nine
You better wave bye bye
Melody then makes her way down toward the ring, mocking any young fans who put their hands out and laughing.
So take a page from my book
Roll it up and get cooked
Watch these ladies get hooked
While all these haters get shook
Melody reaches ringside and climbs up the nearest set of stairs. She steps onto the ring apron, leans forward, and stretches her arms outward, basking in the negative reaction from the fans in attendance.
We gonna rise up to the top
We've been through it all
Been to fucking hell and back
Our backs against the wall
Got the dove and grenade flag on display
And every fucking critic's gonna listen when we say
Crybaby: She is the Wasteland Champion…”The Renegade”...MELODY SLAYTON!!
As the song winds down, Melody slips into the ring through the middle ropes. She makes her way to the nearest corner and leans against the turnbuckles, idly awaiting the start of the match.
The two women watched each other carefully for a few moments, their last meet-up in the ring not far from either of their minds. They finally locked up in the middle of the ring, neither wanting to give the upper hand away to the other if they could help it. Razzles threw a hard punch into Melody’s ribs, allowing her to get the other woman in a side headlock. She wrenched on the headlock a bit before releasing it only to whip Slayton into the ropes. As the champion came back at Mars, Razzles went for a running big boot that Melody managed to avoid by dropping down at the last second! The quick thinking from the champion saved her from what could have been a massive impact.
Matt Mears: Skilled scouting from Melody Slayton just now. That running big boot could have been a major play in how the rest of the match goes.
Ben Petrie: She’s remembering her last match with Razzles Mars, and I can’t say that I blame her considering the title is on the line tonight!
Melody was quickly back to a standing position while Razzles spun on her heel to face the champion again. The two stared at each other for a second before Slayton motioned for Mars to bring it in, getting a grin from Razzles in the process. The two women went at each other, throwing lefts and rights, dodging a hit from one another every now and then. A well timed kick to Razzles’ leg caused her to lose focus as she cried out before getting caught with a hard right to the rib area. Melody was able to grab Razzles, executing a beautiful German suplex on the challenger, one that left her back arching up from the impact. Slayton moved swiftly to get back to her feet, a slight grin on her face as she looked at the downed woman.
Matt Mears: And just like that, the Wasteland Champion is in control of the match! All it takes is one move, sometimes.
Ben Petrie: You can’t count Razzles out though; she’s proven in the past that she can come back from the toughest of odds and turn things around.
Slayton pulled Mars up, helping her back to her feet before lifting her onto her shoulders. Melody was going for a Samoan drop, but Razzles managed to move and maneuver around to where she was able to spike the champion down with a DDT! Razzles took a moment to get her breath back as well as her wits before she pushed back up to her feet. She glanced at the downed champion before running towards the woman, hitting her with a shining wizard as the champion tried getting back to her feet. Razzles pulled Melody up and whipped her into the corner. Mars backed up a bit before running at her, looking for a running cannonball.
Crowd: LET’S GO RAZZLES! LET’S GO RAZZLES! LET’S GO RAZZLES!
Just before Razzles was going to collide with Melody, the champion rolled out of the way, leaving her challenger’s back to smash into the turnbuckles. Razzles groaned as she used the ropes to pull herself up, leaning against the turnbuckles as she did. Slayton ran towards the corner, nailing her with a leaping knee. Mars slumped down before crawling out of the corner. As she got closer to the ropes, she began pulling herself up only for Melody to charge at Razzles once more, catching her with a vicious Coldfire Strike! Mars hit the mat, but Slayton pulled her back up, throwing her into the ropes. As Razzles came back at Melody, Slayton caught her with a devastating Welcome to the Wasteland before going for the pin!
