OPENING CONTEST: James August vs Jay Broni
As soon as the bell sounded, Jay Broni went after James August, looking for a quick punch to start things off. James easily dodged the attempt and instead sent Broni to the mat with an arm drag. Jay got back to his feet, but James was quick to slam him back down with a bulldog, slamming him hard. Jay stirred on the mat, shaking his head as James got back to his feet with ease considering he was dominating the match. August pulled Broni up to his feet before hitting him with a vicious exploder suplex. Broni managed to use the ropes to slowly pull himself back to his feet. He watched August for a second before charging at him, though he was met with a hard sidewalk slam for his troubles! Jay managed to get back to his feet, but James nailed him with a Snap DDT. James pulled Jay up, ignoring the stumbling from the other man before hitting a vicious Magnum Opus before pinning Broni!

In a room someplace backstage in Zion stadium, former tag team champion Taylor Gibson is sitting cross-legged on a table, deep in her own thoughts and casually tossing a slinky back and forth between her hands. The door bursts open and in marches her partner Cindy Collins.
Cindy Collins::
“Match is coming up.”
Taylor Gibson::
“Hmmm.”
Cindy snaps her fingers a few times in front of Taylor before waving her hand back and forth in front of her face.
Cindy Collins::
“Hellooooo. Like, Earth to Taylor, you listening!?”
Taylor Gibson::
“Yeah. I'm just… thinking about stuff.”
Taylor looks up at Cindy with a bit of a dumb expression, like she's a couple sentences behind in the conversation.
Taylor Gibson::
“Who we wrestling again?”
Cindy Collins::
“Oh my Goddddd, Taylorrrr… Mud and Filth, remember? We only spent half the night prepping for it.”
Cindy puts her right palm to her forehead and shakes her head.
Taylor Gibson::
“Oh yeah, nah, I remember. It's just like… we were at the top, right? The champs. And now we gotta go through this tournament for a chance to get our titles back? Liiiiiike…”
Cindy Collins::
“That's just the hand that we've been dealt.”
Cindy smirks softly.
Cindy Collins::
“You're not scared, are ya? Not worried we’re gonna lose?”
Taylor Gibson::
“No! It's just… I don't know… worked so hard to stay on top and one misstep has us back at the bottom again…”
Cindy Collins::
“Ehhh… I mean, I kinda feel the same way… but that's how things go in the Wasteland…”
They exchange a bit of a look and an uncomfortable silence.
Taylor Gibson::
“It stinks.”
Cindy Collins::
“Look at it this way, the tournament is easy mode for us.”
Taylor Gibson::
“How?”
Cindy Collins::
“Because we're the only ones that don't have to fight Thotline Miami. We're the ones who carried the Wasteland tag division on our backs for 4 months, not anyone else. Mud and Filth have to go up against the top team in the tournament, but us? We ARE the top team in the tournament.”
Taylor Gibson::
“I guess…”
Cindy Collins::
“Keep that mopey attitude and this tournament is ours to lose, Taylor. But get your shit together? And it's ours to win.”
Taylor Gibson::
“Heh. Yeah. You're right. It is ours to win.”
Taylor perks up, scoots to the end of the table and slips off of it.
Cindy Collins::
“Then let's go out there and win.”
The two girls give each other and enthusiastic high five before the scene fades out.
MATCH TWO: MUD & Filth vs Thotline Miami
We see Taylor Gibson squaring up to Yennefer Filth, as Yennefer has a slight strength advantage. She's trying to ground Taylor, however, Taylor is more refined and craftier on the mat. She escaped the attempted hold to ground her, as she slipped out of the rear naked choke Yennefer attempted after her mat slam, to shift behind her for a deadlifting German Suplex and a pin.

2.
Yennefer kicked out, as Taylor would get her up to her feet and tags in Cindy Collins. Gibson whipped her to the ropes and caught her with a drop toe hold to keep her in place, as Cindy follows up with a slingshot senton. Collins would look for a scoop slam, though, it's reversed and Filth would dropkick Cindy face first into the corner. She would quickly get up and follow up with running knees to the back, and then an O Connor roll.

2..
Cindy kicked out, as Yennefer would shoot in for a side headlock. She puts pressure on Cindy, before Collins managed to lift her up for a bridging back suplex pin attempt.

2..
Yennefer kicked out, as Cindy was looking to follow up with a springboard moonsault. Filth would get her knees up, as she grabbed her by the hair to get a tag out to M.U.D. The two of them would lift Cindy up to the top rope and deliver a tandem superplex to Collins and a pin.
1..
2..
Broken up by Gibson! Yennefer would tackle herself and Taylor out of the ring to isolate her from her partner, with M.U.D. getting the fresh momentum and connecting with a series of strikes, and then planting Cindy with Muddied Waters.

We cut backstage to find May O’Neil standing by with a microphone in hand and a smile on her face.
May O'Neil: Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome my guests at this time… being accompanied by Heidi Krauss. They are the Wasteland Tag Team Champions… Dietrich and Werner Kühn… Schadenfreude.
The camera pans out to reveal Dietrich and Werner Kühn along with Heidi Krauss standing beside the interviewer, the Kühn brothers proudly displaying their championship belts over their shoulders.
May O'Neil: Welcome gentlemen… and lady. So before we get to tonight, Werner and Dietrich… I would like to get your thoughts on the announcement made last week by our General Manager, Oliver Peters in which he listed six tag teams that will compete over the next few weeks in two brackets with the two winning teams from each bracket facing off against each other to determine your first challengers for the gold.
Werner and Dietrich briefly share a look with one another before turning their attention back to where it previously was, without making any kind of eye contact with O’Neil.
Werner Kühn: Well, Frau O’Neil… it is only fitting that such a tournament should take place to determine who should face us for these Tag Team Championships. After all… we are the best tag team in all of Zion and so a tournament to determine who is second best is the most appropriate course of action.
Dietrich Kühn: But second best is all they will be, because no matter who wins this tournament, they shall fall to Deutsche Exzellenz. Next question.
May O'Neil: Well… tonight you’re in a non-title match against the team of Evelin Delgado and Logan Traeger. How are you feeling about your first contest since becoming the Tag Team Champions?
Werner Kühn: Apart from receiving the unwarranted disrespect? Mein Bruder und ich are feeling very confident about our match tonight.
Dietrich Kühn: Herr Traeger and Frau Delgado appear to be too focused on insulting our name and where we come from rather than focusing on the fact that they are stepping into the ring against the current Tag Team Champions, like the typische Amerikaner that they are.
Werner Kühn: Which is why tonight, we show them and all six tag teams involved in this tournament why we are the best.
Dietrich Kühn: And why we are the Tag Team Champions.
Heidi Krauss: Es liebe die--
Krauss stops mid-sentence as she appears to be distracted, the eyes of the Kühn brothers as well as the interviewers look over in the direction of Krauss’ gaze as VLADISLAV appears on the scene. The mountain of a man looks down to O’Neil at first.
VLADISLAV: Leave us.
The interviewer obliges and makes her exit, only until she has left is when VLADISLAV turns his attention to the Tag Team Champions.
VLADISLAV: I request a moment of your time after your match to discuss an important matter with you. Can I count on your presence for this?
Again, Dietrich and Werner share a brief glance with one another, unsure on what the former World Champion could be alluding to. They both nod to one another before turning their attention back to VLADISLAV.
Werner Kühn: Ja, you can mein Freund.
VLADISLAV: Wunderbar. Good luck tonight, Herren.
VLADISLAV extends his hand for a handshake, which is accepted by both Werner and Dietrich. The Final Boss also extends his hand towards Krauss, who also accepts his hand as he nods in her direction.
VLADISLAV: Dame.
Krauss nods back before VLADISLAV then takes his leave as Schadenfreude watches him leave with a confused yet intrigued expression on their faces as we cut elsewhere.

Lilith Meadows: Yeah, last week was just a taste of what we can do here on Wasteland and last week, we put the tag team roster on notice and it continues when we step into the ring once again and now start to make our way through the tournament.
Lilith pulls a package of Reese’s Cups from her bag and opens it up, eating one of the cups with a big smile on her face. Christina just chuckles a little bit as she shakes her head.
Christina Olson: We know this ain’t gonna be an easy task. We know just how good Las Olividadas are and how dangerous they can be. Hell, I’d even go as far as to say we have respect for them as warriors. We know when it’s all said and done, they’ll have a place in Valhalla. I

A match was scheduled to begin with Cabeza de Cobre and Sterling Jamison White, as the two of them would circle the ring. But, before the two would get into their certain 4 star classic, we see Hebi no Rengo ambush the duo. The match is thrown out, as in the background, Lien and Akira would floor Sterling with the Snakebite, as Hayumi would speak out.
Hayumi Yamamoto
“Ladies and Gentleman… we are… tonight's entertainment!”
She says with a wicked cackle while the trio were being booed loudly by the fan base.
Hayumi Yamamoto
“We are Hebi No Rengo, and we are here to strip weakness from Wasteland. Starting with this snake…”
Hayumi says, further attacking Cabeza, as Lien and Akira would get in the ring with a chair and continue the triple team stomping. Lien would get the chair around Cabeza de Cobre's ankle, as Akira happily jumped up to stomp on it causing the luchadora to scream in pain, before security rushed to the ring as Hebi No Rengo make their exit.
Matt Mears
“What a savage attack by Hebi no Rengo.”
Ben Petrie
“Not even a bit of provoking by them, either… absolutely disgusting.”
Medical personnel get to the ring, as we shift to business backstage.

MAIN EVENT: ZION WRESTLING GATEWAY CHAMPIONSHIP
TATER vs Jenna Sharpe
The bell rings as Sharps and TATER circle each other! Sharpe looks a bit timid around her much larger adversary, knowing she’ll have to work hard to find an entry point to take him down! TATER, however, is just ready to go, as evidenced by him immediately going for a Collar-and-Elbow Tie-Up! The two of them don’t struggle for control long, with TATER immediately pushing Sharpe to the mat! She rolls to her feet, staring TATER down as she returns to the drawing board! She decides to go all in from here, rushing up to TATER and clocking him with a Forearm to the head! This causes the big guy to stagger a bit, with the champion seeming to see this as her opening! She hits the ropes, looking for another strong strike to rock him further! But TATER reverses, scooping Sharpe up and dropping her with a Body Slam! He goes for the pin!
ONE…!
TWO…!
Kick out by Sharpe! TATER looks to go with what works at this point, pulling Sharpe to her feet and looking for another Body Slam! But Sharpe thinks better of it this time, landing on her feet off the attempted slam and immediately catching TATER with a Kick to the midsection! She hits the ropes now, looking to pick up where she left off! But this time TATER responds with a lot more power, clubbing her with a King Kong Lariat as she comes back! Sharpe crawls towards the ropes, looking to pull herself back to her feet with their assistance! TATER looks to take advantage of this however, going for an Irish Whip! Sharpe reverses with one of her own, sending TATER towards the ropes! Instead of bouncing off of them however, TATER topples over, falling to the ringside floor! He immediately clutches his knee upon landing, seemingly hurting it on the way down!
Sharpe sits back and watches all this unfold, seemingly now finding her target! She rolls out of the ring, waiting for TATER to make it to his feet again before dropping him right back down with a Chop Block! TATER crashes to the floor again while clutching his knee, only for Sharpe to pull him to his feet and toss him back into the ring! She waits for him to get up again, looking to cut down the leg again! But TATER gets wise to this, intercepting Sharpe with a Shoulder Tackle! TATER immediately buckles down to his knees, with Sharpe nearly rolling out of the ring! But he doesn’t let the champion get far, rolling her back towards him out of desperation before hooking the leg!
ONE…!
Quick kick out by Sharpe, the gap from move to pin serving to be a huge factor there! TATER looks to keep his powerful offense going, albeit a lot slower, as he tries to get Sharpe off the mat! He gets her in position, before looking for a Belly-to-Belly Suplex! But Sharpe is able to reverse, nailing TATER right on the top of the head with an Elbow to get him to let go, before picking the hurt leg and getting him into a Knee Bar! TATER is in huge trouble here, with the champion now contorting the already troubled knee of the challenger! He reaches out to the ropes to no avail! He finally makes a huge decision out of desperation, cocking back his free leg as far as it can go before smashing his foot right into Sharpe’s face! She lets go, with both of them now laid out on the mat! TATER is slow to make it to his feet, but he finally makes it up first. At least that’s what he thinks, but he’s immediately proven wrong as Sharpe runs up and connects with a Shotgun Dropkick that sends him tumbling back into the turnbuckles! Sharpe rolls out of the ring, dragging TATER’s hurt leg out with her! She swings it into the ring post, causing him to let out a guttural scream in agony! She’s quick to follow up, tying TATER’s legs up in the ring post and going for a Sharpshooter while tied in it! TATER is once again in agony, with the only reprieve he’s given being in the form of a five count by the referee that causes Sharpe to break it up!
TATER is quick to back out of the corner, not wanting any more of the trouble that comes with being in there! He attempts to get to his feet, only to buckle down to a knee again! This leaves a perfect opening for Sharpe to rush back in and connect with a Dropkick to the back of the head! She goes for the pin!
ONE…!
TWO…!
TH-
Kick out by TATER, with Sharpe seemingly ready to finish this off! She pulls TATER back to his feet, before going for the Sharpe-nado! But TATER is able to reverse this one, dropping Sharpe face down to the mat instead! The adrenaline is starting to get to him now, with TATER quickly rushing across the ring and managing to catch Sharpe with a Dropkick! He holds the knee for just a second, pulling himself up to his feet to yank Sharpe up and club her with a Lariat! TATER looks ready to finish this one off, getting to the corner and looking for the Hot Potato! But that’s when the adrenaline seems to escape him, as his knee buckles under him before he can reach Sharpe! Sharpe takes advantage of this, pushing him to the ropes with an Irish Whip! This only gives TATER the opening he needs however, coming back and nailing Sharpe with the Hot Potato! Running High-impact Shoulder Block connects! Pin by TATER!
ONE…!
TWO…!
THREE-
NO! Kick out by Sharpe! TATER doesn’t let this deter him, however, as he pulls Sharpe to her feet and throws her to the ropes! He falls to his knees again as Sharpe hits the ropes! But he gets up right on time, as Sharpe comes back to a Masher Bomb! Pop-Up Elevated Sit Out Powerbomb to the champion! TATER once again checks on his knee, leaving him unable to get the pin right away! In doing this, Sharpe is able to roll out of the ring, just barely escaping TATER’s one last desperate reach for her!
TATER rolls out of the ring, pulling Sharpe to her feet and tossing her back into the ring! The referee goes to check on Sharpe, as TATER recovers outside! Suddenly, Octavia Black rushes over the barricade and out of the crowd, nailing TATER with a Chop Block to the hurt knee that sends him to the floor! She doubles down now, repeatedly striking the knee before getting him up and back into the ring! She escapes back into the crowd all out of view of the official! TATER attempts to get up and reach for Sharpe, only for her to catch him in the Venus Flytrap! Calf Crusher on the hurt leg of TATER! He reaches for the ropes, but it’s no use! All the pain has finally caught up to him in full! He’s left with no choice but to tap out!
