The camera follows Trixie Decker, lugging a case of beer as she walks up rickety stairs. She pushes an old door open to reveal members of the Wolves of Odin, ISIS and Alastair. She drops the case on a makeshift table before ripping it open and distributing bottles to the others.
Trixie Decker: Have I mentioned how much I hate Battle Royales? Maybe I’m still salty over the last bullshit, with Diamond. (She grimaces as sheopens a bottle off her belt buckle) And of course she gets to be in the mess tonight, too. Fucking annoying.
Trixie sits on the ledge as she throws her drink back. Gulping it down in one go, she tosses the bottle behind her. A distance shatter is followed by the sound of a car alarm.
Trixie Decker: The only thing I hate more is being pitted against fellow Wolves. What the fuck is that about?
ISIS grabs a beer. Cracking it open she takes a sip then rests the fan on the table.
ISIS: Fate has its own designs, Spider. Questioning its grand design is often pointless. For example, it wasn’t even a week after Alastair lost the World Championship before Chris declared his intent to challenge Jessi. Did he receive Alastair’s blessing? Why wasn’t Alastair given a rematch? All questions we have every Right to ask. But Fate chose a different path. We don’t need to be fans of this new course. Making the best out of a less than ideal situation is all we can do.
Alastair joined Isis in the rundown dive where Trixie was staying after the events of the past few weeks. He was not a fan of beer but he wouldn’t disagree with the drink at this time. He heard the anger that was dripping from Trixie’s voice when he opened the bottle and chugs the alcoholic drink.
Alastair Frost: You are not the only one that is not a fan of Battle Royals Spider but I understand that this battle royal will keep us in contention. Would you want someone else who is NOT a Wolf going after Pruscilla and her title? And Destroyer is right on one thing, Chris did not come to speak with me before he declared his intent as I made my own intent of claiming a rematch but I know in due time, I will be placing my claim for going after the title again. Until then, the Silver Mountain title is something that you and I can focus on Spider. Now that I have remembered, Destroyer, did Kaya get in contact with you about your offer?
ISIS: She has. There’s one caveat. She has a handler. Their name is Ruslan. Best described as her advocate. Shouldn’t be an issue. He has her best interest in mind.
Alastair Frost: It is something I can understand and it shouldn’t be an issue but having her integrated into the charter even with her advocate on hand will be helpful for those of us who do not know her well. It will also guide the decision should she be a full patch in the long run. I have no problems with her bringing Ruslan so everyone will get to know each other but Ruslan will need to understand what is expected of him when he is at her side as she is being introduced as a Prospect.
It was a delicate situation Alastair knew this but he wanted his pack of sorts to be a safe space for all who were in it.
Alastair Frost: As we are finding ways to integrate Kaya and her handler into the Nomad Charter, Trixie and I still have to be with our own plans for the battle royal. There will be those who won’t like the fact that 2 Wolves are in the battle royal to determine who will face another Wolf for the title but The Wolves of Odinn are not as chaotic and misfits.
The door swings open to the roof and a man with a black three piece suit steps through. Carrying a bottle of Koskenkorva Vodka with him. He smiled softly as he sat down at the table, looking at the two sitting, at the table and the third sitting over the roof edge.
Ruslan Lucic: Ladies, sir, I apologize for my tardiness. I had been getting Kaya ready for the battle royal plus waiting on this exquisite taste. She will not be joining us, I have her meditating before she heads out. So you wished to discuss further about Kaya's involvement? That's fine, I understand that she will be a Prospect. I wish for you to understand that I am not just her handler…
He smirked as he pulled out four shot glasses from the inner part of his jacket placing them on the table. He then looked up.
Ruslan Lucic: I am her coach, her mentor, her confidante after the incident months ago. I am her voice, as Isis knows and as I know… something broke her, the name Lilith is a trigger. Regardless, she will do as she is asked, and with my guidance at her side of course.
He then poured the four shots then looked up at them. He took his holding it up, then looked around at the others.
Trixie leads them in raising a drink. As the Wolves do so, the camera fades.
