“The Gun Show” by In This Moment blasts out of the PA system and the fans start booing heavily as Global Heavyweight Champion, Kara “Killer” Carbajal saunters out onto the stage with her championship proudly displayed over her broad shoulder.
Winter Mae: Here comes the champ to kick off the show!
Kyle Cassidy: In a little over three weeks, the Mamacita of Mayhem is putting her Global Heavyweight Championship on the line against the winner of the Zion World Cup, Nami Megumi. It’ll be interesting to hear what she has to say tonight…
Carbajal begins to make her way down the ramp, mouthing off to the fans on the way as once she reaches the bottom of the ramp, she makes her way around the ring and with her free hand grabs a steel chair, folds it up and slides it under the bottom rope and into the ring before then snatching a microphone from the ring announcer and she slides into the ring herself.
Winter Mae: Is a steel chair really necessary?
Kyle Cassidy: This is her domain, Winter. The Void Queen can do as she pleases.
KC picks the chair up and unfolds it before setting it down in the middle of the ring before she sits down on it as “The Gun Show” fades out.
Kara "Killer" Carbajal: Let me tell you a story…
The fans boo, which irritates the champion.
Kara "Killer" Carbajal: Mamacita is going to tell you ungrateful, backstabbing pieces of trash a story whether you like it or not! So if you want to see your precious favorites that are booked tonight, then the sooner you shut the fuck up, the better!
The fans boo even louder and Carbajal shakes her head and just sits there and waits until the fans finally die down.
Kara "Killer" Carbajal: The date was October 1st, 2022… Invasion: London night one… the greatest World Heavyweight Champion in Zion history, Zachary Porter… defending his championship against Jordan Majors, of the Queens of Chaos…
The fans cheer at the mention of Majors’ name, which the Global Heavyweight Champion refuses to acknowledge as she continues.
Kara "Killer" Carbajal: ...Zach lost that night… and then he disappeared from Zion television…
A snarl forms on the face of Carbajal.
Kara "Killer" Carbajal: ...and as the days went by… you people… you forgot about him. There were no longer signs in the crowd showing love for the man who carried Fusion on his back for five months! The people in the back, who he would go out of his way to help stopped talking about him. Nobody asked where he was. Nobody asked if he was okay. Nobody… except for…
KC holds up two fingers.
Kara "Killer" Carbajal: ...two people. And those two people were Miguel Ortiz… and me! We didn’t forget about him. And that’s why when he returned, he returned as a member of The Void.
The Global Heavyweight Champion now stands to her feet.
Kara "Killer" Carbajal: You may be wondering what all of this means, why I’m telling you this story… knowing you people, you probably don’t care what the reason for this story is, but for that reason… I’m going to tell you anyway. Now that he’s gone again…
Her upper lip twitches a little, probably a mixture of anger and sadness.
Kara "Killer" Carbajal: ...The Void are going to make sure he is never forgotten about again. And in honor of the greatest World Heavyweight Champion in Zion history? I’m not going to allow a member of the other group that has been a major thorn in the side of us since we first started! At Destiny III?! I dedicate the destruction of The Kingdom’s own Nami Megumi and my successful retention of my Global Heavyweight Championship… my journey to becoming the greatest Global Heavyweight Champion in Zion history… to Zachary fucking Porter!
“The Gun Show” blasts out of the PA system as Carbajal tosses both the microphone and the chair to the outside before she exits the ring and begins to make her way up the ramp.
Winter Mae: Well, it seems to be clear that Eduardo isn’t the only one who is still feeling the effects of the departure of Zach, Kyle.
Kyle Cassidy: Of course it’s affected Kara too, Winter, and it’s also affected Miguel. The Void are a family.
KC then reaches the top of the ramp and then disappears through the curtain as we cut elsewhere.

Vivian Blake:And the Voice of Mayhem, WInter Mae!
As Winter is walking down the ramp towards the announce table, the arena lights go out. The giant screen is illuminated with the Ring of Fire Sun as the Mysterious Melancholic tune starts playing.
Female Vocalist: It starts with one
All I know
It's so unreal
Watch you go
I tried so hard and got so far
But in the end, it doesn't even matter
I had to fall to lose it all
But in the end, it doesn't even matter
The black disc shifts into the siluhutte of somethign vaguely round, but with way more details on the edges, Suggesting something is being blocked out. The light of the ring of fire obscuring it with only the absolute faintest traces of lines inside.
Male Vocalist: One thing, I don't know why
It doesn't even matter how hard you try
Keep that in mind, I designed this rhyme
To remind myself of a time when
Female Vocalist: I tried so hard
Male Vocalist: In spite of the way you were mockin' me
Actin' like I was part of your property
Remembering all the times you fought with me
I'm surprised it got so far
Things aren't the way they were before
You wouldn't even recognize me anymore
Not that you knew me back then
But it all comes back to me
Female Vocalist: in the end
Male Vocalist: You kept everything inside
And even though I tried, it all fell apart
What it meant to me will eventually
Be a memory of a time when I
Winter stops at her seat, looking to Kyle and Vivian as she places her headset on.
Vivian Blake:Seriously. We need to get some answers about that. It’s getting more and more disrupting every week.
OPENING CONTEST: KELLY HASTE VS JACK MORRISON ©
Vivian Blake: The following contest…is scheduled for one fall!
Crowd: ONE FALL!!
Vivian Blake: And it is for the Zion Wrestling INTERNET! CHAMPIONSHIP!
Introducing first…representing The Queens of Chaos…from Adelaide, South Australia…weighing in at 135 lbs…Kelly! Haste!
And her opponent…representing The Purge…from Southampton, England…weighing in at 222 lbs…he is the Zion Wrestling INTERNET! CHAMPION!...JACK! “THE RIPPER” MORRISON!
Winter Mae: Jack Morrison has had a dominant run as Internet Champion so far! If he gets this win tonight, we’ll end up tying his previous reign for most defenses!
Kyle Cassidy: Yeah, but Kelly Haste is tenacious! She has all the power in the world to make that “if” as massive as she is!
The match kicks off with Morrison landing a series of thunderous forearm strikes and chops right off the bat, as the champion looks to assert his dominance early on. However, Haste stands and takes each of the connections, eating them up before countering with a hard spinning backfist that catches the champ flush on the jaw. Kelly grabs Morrison by the arm and pulls him for a solid ripcord kick that takes Saucy Jack down!
Jack rolls out of the ring, annoyed as he tells the ref to keep Haste at bay, looking pissed off. Haste ignores the referee’s instruction and leans out between the ropes, grabbing Jack by the back of the head and pulls him up to the apron. However the champion responds by jumping back down, pulling Haste down with him and jacks her throat-first onto the middle rope.
The fans boo as Jack just grins, pointing to his temple and shouting “that’s why I’m the champ!” before he climbs back into the ring. He grabs Kelly up who is still favoring her throat and drives her into the nearest corner with a buckle bomb before delivering a hard series of mudhole stomps. The referee gives Morrison a 5-count and he stops at 4, grinning and holding his hands up mock innocence as he backpedals at the ref’s behest. Kelly pulls herself up and delivers a hard series of pump kicks to the midsection of the oncoming Morrison. Jack backtracks, feeling the effects but rushes in again and this time Kelly avoids the contact and the champ hits nothing but turnbuckle! Kelly turns the tables, laying into Morrison with a series of alternating forearms and chops, lighting up his chest like a Christmas tree before catching him with a bicycle pump kick that sends Jack slumping down. Kelly builds up a head of steam, spurred on by the crowd and she flattens Jack with a running boot scrape. Kelly pulls Jack out of the corner and sizes him up, going to the top rope and hits an audacious corkscrew shooting star press before transitioning into a cover!
ONE…!
TWO…!
No! Jack kicks out! Kelly thinks she had him, bringing her hands to her head and holding three fingers out but the ref makes a motion with his shoulder that Jack kicked out. As the match intensifies, both Morrison soon fights back into the match, grounding Kelly with a wrist lock transitioned into a dragon screw leg whip! He keeps a hold of Kelly’s leg though and applies a painful kneebar submission! Kelly yells out in pain, trying to give herself some wiggle room Morrison has it locked in tight! The Queens of Chaos member is able to fight out of it though, dragging herself across the ring and hooking an arm around the bottom rope, forcing the break.
Jack smells blood and looks to go in for the kill. He rubs his elbow tauntingly, sizing Kelly up as she hobbles to her feet. Jack runs full force at her, looking for the Dear Boss but Haste sees him in her peripheral vision and rolls out of the way at the eleventh hour! Jack is off balance and Kelly runs off the ropes and takes him down with the Kash Flow running blockbuster! She makes another cover and hooks the leg!
ONE…!
TWO…
No! Again the champ kicks out. He puffs his cheeks out, eyes widening as he tries to regain his bearings but the challenger is in the ascendancy. Haste grabs Jack by the throat and hoists him for the BIG MASSIVE KELLY! But Jack somehow manages to maneuver out of it, rolling Kelly up in an inside cradle! The referee counts!
ONE…!
TWO…!
THRE-No! Kelly manages to wriggle out bringing the crowd to their feet. Both competitors come back to their feet. Kelly rushes forward but Jack drops down and pulls on the front of her ring attire, sending her face-first into the middle buckle of the nearest corner. Seizing the opportunity, Morrison charges towards Haste, unleashing the Dear Boss with pinpoint accuracy, sending Kelly’s head snapping back. He goes for the cover, hooking both legs.
ONE…!
TWO…!
THREE!!
Vivian Blake: The winner of this match…and STILL the Zion Wrestling INTERNET! CHAMPION!...JACK! “THE RIPPER” MORRISON!
Winter Mae: Jack Morrison defends again, but will that be the same case at Destiny III!
Kyle Cassidy: We’ll have to wait until later on tonight to see whether or not Melissa Tasman will be the one to face him at Dallas! But for now, The Ripper reigns supreme!
Morrison stands tall as we fade!

We switch to a video package as Katrina Lopez is shown with blurred highlights of Mayhem tag team matches behind her.
Katrina Lopez: Hey Mayhem fans, I wanted to give an update on the situation with the new Global Tag Team Championships. After a lot of deliberation and planning internally, I think we have come up with the perfect plan for how these titles should find their first champions. Mayhem has a rich and deep tag team division. Even when you take the current World Tag Team Champions out of the equation, there’s no question Zion is having a tag team renaissance at this time. So it was important to me that this was recognized with a match at Destiny! So… here’s how it will work…
A GAUNTLET MATCH
The crowd cheers as Katrina pauses in her video.
Katrina Lopez: In regular gauntlet rules, the match will start with two teams. Win and you keep going. Lose? And that’s it. Your time in the match is done. Easy to understand. But I know what everyone wants to know. Who, right? Who?
The video changes to show an image of Hungry for Destruction.
Katrina Lopez: We wouldn’t be here without Hungry for Destruction! Their match against the World Tag Team Champions was the inspiration for this expansion. Joining them in the match will be: The Silver Brothers! The Void’s Miguel Ortiz and Eduardo Gutiérrez! Hebi No Rengo! Regulators Inc.! The Last of the Valkyries. And, Team Big, Tall, & Cute As FUCK!
The crowd reacts to the lineup from the match as the package transitions back to Katrina.
Katrina Lopez: Thank you to the great fans of the best wrestling show on Mondays on the entire planet! I can’t wait for all of you to see what happens at Destiny!
MATCH #2: SAKURA MATSUDA VS DIAMOND STEELE
Sakura comes flying out the gate, unleashing a series of trademark European uppercuts that stagger Diamond in the early going. Sakura catches her in the midsection and breaks down a lethal axe kick across the back of her neck that flattens her momentarily. Sakura looks to consolidate her momentum with a further flurry of attacks but Diamond responds, catching Matsuda coming in with an upkick to the jaw, forcing her back.
Diamond kips up to her feet, taking advantage of the small opening and she nails Sakura with a textbook spinning heel kick. Diamond brings Sakura up, pulling her into one of the corners and comes swinging out with a beautiful tornado DDT that garners the first near-fall of the match.
As the match progresses, both women demonstrate their respective aerial prowess, with Sakura executing a breathtaking top rope frankensteiner that spikes Diamond. Steele is able to rebound though and takes Sakura down with a scintillating springboard crossbody block. Like a pendulum, the moment swings back-and-forth, neither woman able to secure a foothold for any prolonged period of time!
However, in a pivotal moment, Sakura goes to the well one too many times, looking to nail Diamond with a springboard forearm smash. However the former Queens of Chaos member sees it coming and catches Matsuda’s arm mid-flight, and locks in the Shipwrecked Fujiwara armbar!
Sakura desperately tries to lock her fingers together with both hands to stop the hyperextension of her elbow but Diamond is relentless and viciously yanks back, breaking her opponent’s grip and wrenches back on her arm. Sakura again tries to hold as best she can but with nowhere to go and at risk of a severe injury, she is forced to tap out!
Vivian Blake: The winner of this match, via submission…Diamond! Steele!
Winter Mae: Statement made! I don’t think Diamond was walking out of this one with anything less than a win!
Kyle Cassidy: It’s like she gained a whole new viciousness! Her game has been unmatched since leaving the Queens of Chaos!
The bell rings, but Steele doesn’t relent, keeping the hold locked in on Matsuda after the match! The official tries to pry her off to avail! It isn’t until Pop Levi’s “Strawberry Shake” hits the speakers that Diamond releases the hold, with Razzles Mars rushing down to the ring to chase her off! Mars helps Matsuda to her feet as we fade!
RESULT: SUBMISSION (SHIPWRECKED)
In the Climate Pledge Arena, Teresa Morgan was in her ring gear, ready for her match against Jinx. There was a determination on her face that was seen off and on during her short career, just as strong as any of the other times it had been seen. She licked her lips as she paced back and forth for a few moments before noticing the camera.
Teresa Morgan: Jinx…a thorn in my side since all of this started.
Teresa shook her head a little, the loose strands of her hair flying across her face as she did.
Teresa Morgan: You involved yourself in my business with Kara when I confronted her. And you involved yourself when I was facing Sean last week.
Teresa crossed her arms, a look of irritation passing across her face.
Teresa Morgan: You love to play, don’t you, Jinx? Things are a game to you, aren’t they?
Teresa scoffed, shaking her head again before going back to pacing back and forth. The irritation was starting to get to her a little, despite the fact that she knew that she needed to keep it in check no matter how difficult it was. She let out a sigh before continuing.
Teresa Morgan: You’ve played with the wrong person this time, Jinx. I’ll play back. I’ve caught a glimpse of what you’re capable of doing…let’s see some more of how you like to play tonight.
With that, Teresa turned on her heel and walked off down the hallway.
MATCH #3: TERESA MORGAN VS JINX, THE JESTRESS
Jinx wastes no time, launching herself at Teresa with a vicious series of chops and kicks. She drives Teresa back into the corner with relentless aggression, raining down blows on her. But Teresa fights her off with a stiff headbutt that sends Jinx reeling backwards and she follows up with a step-up enziguri.
Jinx goes down but immediately springs back to her feet and the two competitors trade blows in the center of the ring. Teresa gains the upper hand, breaking the stalemate by scoring a kick into Jinx’s abdomen and drilling her with a DDT that leaves Jinx stunned on the canvas. But Jinx again quickly recovers, using her agility to dodge Teresa's with a cartwheel before flattening Teej with a Carny Kick!
The momentum continues to shift back and forth between the two. Jinx goes for Twisted Laughter but Teej counters, sending Jinx for an Irish whip and takes her crashing to the mat with a big boot.
As Jinx comes back to her feet, Morgan sizes her up, looking to put the exclamation mark on the match. She goes for the 1997 CT01 but Jinx catches her with a thumb to the eye coming and Teej is disoriented. The referee admonishes Jinx but she just waves him off, grabbing Teresa and nails her with the Curtain Jerk, making the cover.
ONE…!
TWO…!
THREE!!
Vivian Blake: The winner of the match… JINX, THE JESTRESS!
Winter Mae: Jinx, The Jestress takes the cheap way in this initial encounter with Teresa Morgan!
Kyle Cassidy: She gouged that eye of Teresa Morgan, and in doing so may have just set a new fire inside of it!
Jinx makes her exit quickly, with Morgan looking extremely pissed as we fade!
RESULT: PINFALL (CURTAIN JERK)
“Classy” Bianca Page is sitting in a Belleze Caramel leather Accent Chair in the study of her childhood home in Manhattan, New York.
“Classy” Bianca Page: Welcome world to the home where my sisters and I were raised. Now I know you all must be wondering why I am here while the rest of the Mayhem crew are in Seattle at the Climate Pledge Arena. It is really quite simple. I needed to have a conversation with Tots for brains.
Bianca devilishly smiles as she sits back in her chair.
“Classy” Bianca Page: Seriously everyone. I am sure that he and I can simply talk this out because I am honestly tired of the back and forth we have had for the last several months. It is really quite sickening if you think about it. I had to grin and smile as he rightfully so was infatuated with me. He probably still is despite the fact that he has pledged himself to that deluded Blaze Darling. While I may have led him on so I can get my hands on the Zion Internet Championship. Now as you all know he has continually interjected himself into my business, my life. So much for him being devoted to Blaze, right?
There is a knock on the study door.
“Classy” Bianca Page: Come in!
The door opens and a housekeeper walks in.
Housekeeper: Your guest, Mr. Tater, has arrived.
“Classy” Bianca Page: Splendid. Show him in, please.
Housekeeper: As you wish, ma’am.
Moments later the housekeeper walks in with a Mr. Potatohead that has clearly been in some trash. Bianca’s face turns up in disgust as she smells Mr. Potatohead. Bianca nods at the housekeeper and the housekeeper sets Mr. Potatohead on a sheet of tinfoil.
“Classy” Bianca Page: Thank you and welcome Tots for brains. It is an honor that you are here. But I have got to ask you…Is that fried chicken skin on your lips?
The camera pans over to show that there is fried chicken skin on his lips.
“Classy” Bianca Page: Disgusting! You actually kiss Blaze with those lips? But I can’t really say that I am surprised. I must digress because I am truly appreciative that you accepted this meeting to call a truce.
The camera pans over to Mr. Potatohead whose lips have been switched to a smile.
“Classy” Bianca Page: I knew you would. Now with all the things that has happened between us over the past several months I only find it fitting that you apologize and acknowledge me.
The camera pans over to Mr. Potatohead whose face has been changed to a surprised look.
“Classy” Bianca Page: What? You know it is the best thing to do. Considering that you are a low class loser.
The camera pans over to the Mr. Potatohead that has “Loser” written on it with lipstick.
“Classy” Bianca Page: (Chuckles) I am glad that you have finally accepted that and that can lead you to change. Because quite frankly I am not going to put up with you anymore. Which is why I had you shipped off to the obscurity of the Wasteland. Obviously that wasn’t good enough because while I should be in the Chance Briefcase ladder match I am having to deal with you because of your trifling ways and I refuse to take it anymore. I tried to be nice and let you go into your pit of failure but you refused to do so quietly. Now I have to take the direct approach with you.
Bianca looks over with a big smile on her face and on the table next to her is a potato cutter.
In a pre-recorded segment, we see Jane and Sadie inside of the Yellow Rose Saloon serving drinks to people who had went through dark matches. Jane was behind the bar, shouting out at the patrons.
Jane Adler
“Last call, ya'll!”
Sadie Cassidy
“We got a busy night tonight, and I'm not in the mood for anyone's attitude.”
She stated, with Sadie taking orders for people, as Jane was making drinks as fast as they were coming, though, things stopped with their opposition for the night walking through the doors. Standing in the doorway, everybody was looking at the two girls who looked as out of place as a midget on a basketball court. Akira Fujimoto blows a pink bubble of strawberry bubblegum which pops, while Lién Kamiya surveys the room, her eyes moving across all the patrons and of course the Regulators themselves.
Lien Kamiya
“Jeez. This party really died.”
The wooden floorboard creak under their boots, Lién scowls at some of the younger talent who worked the opening dark match. Akira climbs up onto a stool at the bar and places her arms on the bar.
Akira Fujimoto
“Sake.”
She stares at Jane expectantly. The ginger kaiju would look down at her with a bit of a sneer, as she kneels down to get a bottle of sake.
Jane Adler
“Didn't expect anyone to order this. Or a microwave here to warm it up proper.”
Sadie Cassidy
“Though, it's not wise to drink before a fight…”
Akira stares Jane in the eyes as she takes the bubblegum out of her mouth and sticks it to the underside of her stool. Before the Regulator can say anything, Lién slides up next to her tag partner, leaning her torso over the bar and sneering.
Lien Kamiya
“That's true for lightweights, but we can handle it, don't worry about it.”
She glances over at Sadie, before looking back at Jane.
Lien Kamiya
“Not too sure I'd call it a fight either. Massacre might be more accurate. Execution, maybe?”
Sadie Cassidy
“That's cute… now pull that gum out.”
She said, as Sadie would run the poker tables in the saloon, she knew slight of hand when she saw it.
Jane Adler
“As for the drinks, it's up to you. I just don't want any excuses for when you lose tonight.”
Akira rolls her eyes and removes the gum, Lién looks agitated at Jane's comment.
Lien Kamiya
“We’re not in the business of making excuses. We take accountability for losses, I wonder if you'll do the same. You don't have what it takes to beat us.”
Akira Fujimoto
“Afraid. No risk.”
Lien Kamiya
“Exactly. You're not willing to do whatever it takes, take the risks, seize the opportunities… you're scared to get your hands dirty… and that makes you weak.”
Jane Adler
“That's where you're mistaken… if you gotta use weaponry as a crutch, you already shown your cowardice. Life ain't about shortcuts.”
Sadie Cassidy
“And if you remember the way Josie put the work on Hayumi… it really proves that point already. You both had to bully bright young talent out of Mayhem… Jane and I aren't going out like that.”
Lien Kamiya
“Bright, young talent… old, haggard vets… it doesn't matter to us. There's no room on Mayhem for the weak. Adapt with the times or perish.”
Akira leans forward, getting in Jane's face a little.
Akira Fujimoto
“We won't even need a loser leaves Mayhem match. We’ll beat you so bad the trash will take itself out.”
Jane Adler
“Oh yeah? Try me. I'll toss you out of here before you blink.”
She said, towering over her, as the patrons were starting to make room from the tension. Just then, Lien sucker punched Sadie, as Akira would use the distraction to lunge at Jane, as both teams throw hands at each other, as the duos were being pried apart, as the feed cuts.
MATCH #4: REGULATORS, INC. VS HEBI NO RENGO
The match begins with Jane Adler and Liên Kamuya locking horns, trading stiff strikes in the center of the ring. Adler gains the early advantage with a powerful single knee facebuster that staggers her back. Adler shoots off the ropes but Kamuya quickly turns the tide with a lightning-fast dropkick, catching her right on the jaw and sending her rolling out to the floor.
As the action spills to the outside, Sadie Cassidy and Akira Fujimoto tag in, continuing the onslaught with a series of high-impact moves. Cassidy nails Akira with a slingshot suplex, sending her crashing to the mat. However Fujimoto establishes some dominance of her own, sending Cassidy for a hard Irish whip into the corner before colliding with her chest with a big-time hesitation dropkick!
With both teams eager to gain the upper hand, the match descends into chaos as all four women soon find themselves in the ring, teeing off one another. The Regulators begin to dictate the pace of the match, isolating Akira with a Fireman's Carry Flapjack into the turnbuckle (Cassidy) followed by a Running Big Boot (Adler). Adler goes for the cover but before the referee can get down, Kamuya comes flying off the top rope with an avalanche jumping knee drop, landing it square on the back of Adler’s head, taking her out. Sadie goes to make the save for her partner but Liên remonstrates with the ref, pointing out she isn’t the legal competitor and the referee ushers her towards the corner.
The momentary distraction is all it takes as HNR sends a disoriented Adler into the ropes, catching her on the return with Snake Bite! Akira quickly goes for the cover as Kamuya rolls to the outside, pulling Cassidy off the apron as the referee counts

THREE!!
Vivian Blake: The winners of this match…Hebi! No Rengo!
Winter Mae: Another huge win for Hebi No Rengo!
Kyle Cassidy: And you have to believe that a win like that will give them a massive step forward in that gauntlet match at Destiny! We could very well be looking at our inaugural Global Tag Team Champions right now!
Kamiya and Fujimoto stand tall as we fade!
RESULT: PINFALL (SNAKE BITE)
Following the tag team match, the cameras join Tommy Green backstage in the interview area with Morgan Payne of The Kingdom. The woman stands with a somber expression, dressed in a Kingdom t-shirt underneath her leather jacket, black jeans, her Timbs and a black “Behold The Kingdom” flat bill cap on her head, flipped backwards. Her hands don black fingerless gloves which we only see whenever she takes one out of her jacket pockets throughout the scene.
Tommy Green: "Hello ladies and gentlemen. Tommy Green here, standing with The Ace herself. The Kingdom’s very own Morgan Payne. Morgan, how’s it going tonight?"
Morgan sighs and glances down at the floor a moment.
Morgan Payne: "Ain’t gonna sugar coat it, Tommy, I been better. But it is what it is."
Tommy Green: "I know it’s been a rough road for you lately. Losing the Global Heavyweight Championship. Coming so close but not close enough to winning the first annual Zion World Cup. Now, most recently, it seems as though tensions are arising between The Kingdom and The Queens of Chaos. Many of whom you call friends. We wanted to know, are there any developments there?"
Morgan hears all of this and sighs again, shifting her feet as she looks up at the ceiling for a moment before addressing Tommy and the fans watching.
Morgan Payne: "Look, them first two, it is what it is. I knew I wasn’t gonna be champion forever. No matter how big and bad ya are, a wise man once said there’s always a bigger fish. I woulda liked t’say I lost it to someone who beat me at my best but we can’t always get what we want, yanno? I decided t’not call for a rematch and instead, I wanted t’earn my way back into dat spot and win tha Zion World Cup. Wasn’t in tha cards. Least I can say one of ours still has dat opportunity at Destiny and I couldn’t be more proud. People look at Nami Megumi, they see her smile. They see dis sweet lil doll faced girl who can light up a room. They underestimate her for dat. Nami’s an asskicker. She’ll kick yer head ahff before yanno what hit’chu. She proved dat several times over. Twice when she beat me in tha World Cup. If anyone else under tha Kingdom banner can do what it takes t’end Kara Carbajal’s reign as Global Heavyweight Champion, she’s one of ‘em. I said it before, I’ll say it again. Nami? Yanno you got our full support in Dallas."
Tommy nods.
Tommy Green: "Hey, it’s always great to see members of a group showing support to one another. So then, the Queens of Chaos…"
Morgan shakes her head and raises a hand up to stop him there.
Morgan Payne: "Yeah, yeah, look. Ahnno what’s goin’ ahn. Chrissy had an opportunity for tha Wildcard Ladder Match and…"
She pauses, trying to find the words, eventually shrugging when she can’t.
Morgan Payne: "She did get robbed. I ain’t gonna deny dat. But I talked t’Jessi. She said it wasn’t nothin’ personal and I get it. Sometimes, ya gotta grab them opportunities by tha throat when ya can. Becca Black did just dat. If I was gonna blame anyone?"
She shrugs again.
Morgan Payne: "Fuck, I dunno, maybe blame tha ref. Maybe blame management. But at tha same time, I get it. People come here t’see us wrestle. They don’t pay to see matches get canceled and freebies handed aht. Can’t imagine Dominic Mac Allister woulda liked t’just be put into dat match when everyone else earned it. So, Jessi says it ain’t personal, I got no reason not t’believe her. It’s as shrimple as dat."
Tommy nods and starts to bring the mic back to say something then pauses, giving Morgan a look. He starts to say something and Morgan looks at him in confusion before he just shakes his head.
Tommy Green: "Interesting take on the matter, for sure. What about the words of Christina Olson following last week’s Mayhem?"
There’s a pause as Morgan rubs her eyes in frustration and she thinks for a moment.
Morgan Payne: "Look…Chrissy’s got a temper. Anyone who knows us knows dat. I got one too. I don’t blame her for bein’ angry. She’s been through a lot the past couple years and some people, like her, when they let their tempers run hot, they might say shit they don’t mean. I mean shit, s’why she’s called The Firestarter. She’s got some of tha same friends I do in tha Queens of Chaos. She knows some of us in tha Kingdom got family there. Ayu. Bean. We love them girls. Jessi’s been a friend to us since she broke onto tha scene. She’s one of my best friends. Her and Risa. We’ve known Risa since before tha Queens even. Jordan. Zara. I train with Nadia. I talked abaht how I support Nami in her match for tha title. Same goes t’Blaze. Chica, you got my absolute, full support at Destiny for tha Zion World Championship. Get. Dat. Fuckin’. Bag."
She slaps her hands together as she says the last few words.
Morgan Payne: "Brass tacks n’at? Dis ain’t a war I want. Ahnno Chrissy an’ Becca, they abaht t’be in dat ring. They gonna let it aht. They gonna throw dahn. Dat’s how things work arahnd here. Win, lose or draw. Go aht there, get yer pieces in and shake hands after. I learned a long time ago dat’chu ain’t gotta hate errybody you step into tha ring wif. Mark me, though. If people are gonna look at me as tha leader of tha Kingdom in Zion then I’m puttin’ tha cease fire aht now. Dis is not a war I’m startin’. And anybody who flies dis in dis company?"
She pulls her jacket open to flash her Kingdom shirt and makes sure the camera sees it.
Morgan Payne: "Yinz will not start dat shit either or you bet’cho ass, you gonna deal wif me."
She releases her jacket and drops her hands to her sides as Tommy Green continues.
Tommy Green: "We hear that loud and clear, Morgan. One final thing I wanted to touch on. Last week, you addressed the crowd. You addressed the entire Zion locker room. You want a match at Destiny in Dallas. You put out an open challenge. Now things got…mmm…a little weird there at the end as we saw but since then, it’s seemed quiet on the public front. Has anybody approached you about accepting your challenge?"
Morgan brushes a finger under her nose and clears her throat before lazily shrugging that hand and dropping it.
Morgan Payne: "I ain’t gon’ sugar coat it. Nah. They ain’t. Which is almost funny t’me at dis point. I keep seein’ my name on people’s dream match lists. They know how I roll. They know how I get dahn. Yinz want a piece o’tha Ace? I’m right here. I’m always here. I came t’Zion because I wanted t’expand tha field. I wanna wrestle tha best professional wrestlers dat lace up boots today. It honestly baffles tha shit ahtta me dat I threw dahn tha gauntlet an’ nobody’s picked it up."
As soon as she finishes speaking, the lights in the room start to flicker, buzzing with electricity. Both Tommy and Mogan look around in confusion as an eerie whispering fills the room.
Pa…ence….pa…tience… Patience…
….
S…oon…Soon…
….
N…ext…we…ek…Next week…
The disturbance eventually subsides, leaving Tommy Green absolutely shook. Morgan, however, shifts her feet again, looking up at the lights and the camera slowly pans in as her expression goes from concerned to hardened. Cold. Her jaw tightening as the shot cuts away.
Kyle Cassidy: "Winter, what the hell is going on?"
Winter Mae: "I have no idea, Kyle. Things are getting weird around here!"
We cut backstage where see Christina Olson in a hallway, pacing back and forth a little bit. She has a focused and intense look on her face as she just stares at the ground for a bit. The camera moves in on her, but she doesn’t look up.
Christina Olson: Last week, I had my chance, the first chance I had to even step foot into a Zion ring in months. Hell, the first time I had been booked anywhere in a while and it was all taken from me because of some salty little bitch who couldn’t handle losing. So what does she do? She decides she has to come and attack me from behind and take me out. She decided that being a coward and hitting me from behind was the only option she had. I was pissed and a little heartbroken at the time, but hell, I should be flattered because you did it when I couldn’t see ya comin at me. To me, that means ya know you couldn’t have handled me if I saw you comin for me.
Christina lets out a small chuckle as she finally looks up and looks right into the camera.
Christina Olson: Your biggest mistake Becca was ensuring I was able to get back up and continue walkin because you did nothin but piss me off. You made the mistake of firin me up more than I already was and now, I’m ready for tonight, Becca. Tonight, I kick your ass and I ain’t gonna feel an ounce of regret for what I possibly do to you out there tonight. I don’t care if you’re a member of the Queens of Chaos, or if you’re just some lone fuckin wolf tryin to make a name here in Zion for yourself. I don’t care about any of that or what your ultimate reasonin was because now, my focus is solely on you and makin your life a nightmare tonight. See ya out there, bitch.
Christina grins, blowing a kiss at the camera before brushing past them and heading down the hallway.
MATCH #5: BECCA BLACK VS CHRISTINA OLSON
As the match begins, Becca looks very sure of herself, confidence oozing out of the Queens of Chaos member. A stark contrast stands on the opposite side of the ring as Christina Olson looks like she could kill a bitch but at the same time, looks distracted, the issues stemming from what happened last week as well as the Kingdom member’s subsequent denouncing of any trust towards the QoC looks like it’s eating away at her.
Becca though, has no time for this though and makes an immediate beeline for Olson and careens into her with a series of strikes, waylaying on Christina who desperately covers up. She backs up into one of the corners as Becca continues to fire away with no remorse. Black peppers Olson with lefts and rights, each one finding their target with pinpoint accuracy before she backs off a bit. Black takes the time to measure Christina before launching herself into her with a running corner splash. Christina staggers out of the corner and is taken down with a snapmare before Becca follows up with a hard kick to the back.
The tide of the match continues to go with Becca in the ascendancy, taking advantage of Christina’s growing self-doubt and inner frustration. However, she does begin to mount her own offense, managing to counter a backdrop suplex, rotating around and drilling Becca with a beautiful Satellite DDT that even gains her a near-fall before Becca kicks out. Christina’s confidence slowly starts to grow as she continues her attack but when she goes to the outside onto the apron, she looks to deliver Flight of the Valkyrie. However, when grabbing the top rope, Christina hesitates, and the springboard she would normally execute with ease doesn’t go to plan and she stumbles back into the ring, landing awkwardly. Becca gets back to her feet and takes advantage, locking in the Dragon’s Grip submission! Christina yells out in pain and flails around with her arms, looking for the ropes but Becca wrenches back hard until Olson has no choice but to tap out.
Vivian Blake: The winner of this match, via submission…Becca! Black!
Winter Mae: Becca Black gets another win, and shuts down Christina Olson again!
Kyle Cassidy: A lot of Christina Olson’s problems could be easily solved by her not giving into that self doubt! Tonight Becca Black didn’t Christina Olson that opportunity! Christina Olson did!
Black celebrates, with Olson looking pitiful for herself as we fade!
RESULT: SUBMISSION (DRAGON’S GRIP)
The camera cuts to the record-breaking Zion Endurance Champion, Akane Yamashita. She’s not booked for Mayhem tonight but is here anyway to see the action unfold. Standing at catering, looking at what’s on offer, a voice catches her attention.
Sean Parker: Happenin’ champ?
The former Endurance Champion, Sean Parker walks into view of the camera. He too isn’t booked tonight either as is evident by the street clothes he’s adorned in. Sean bows his head slightly, acknowledging the champion.
Sean Parker: Look, I’m sorry for catching you off-guard at Clarity a few weeks ago. It wasn’t my intent to steal your moment or rain on your parade on anything. You had a helluva match with Savannah Lawrence and like I said that night, you’ve done nothing but impress me since you beat me last year for the Endurance Championship. So I just wanted to come out and lay down a challenge with no shenanigans, no politics or whataboutery.
Yamashita looked around, scratching the back of her head where she was just nodding along to the words coming from Sean Parker. She was crossing her arms but only to keep the title belt on her shoulder from coming off.
Akane Yamashta: I understand.
Akane had looked down to pause for a moment, as if she was thinking about what to say next.
Akane Yamashta: I did want to let you know what I wasn't ignoring you when you came out to the ring.
Yet another pause from Akane.
Akane Yamashta: Jūbun'na jishin ga arimasen. Watashi wa taisei no hito no mae de ryūchōna eigo o hanasu koto ga dekimasen. Watashi wa shinkeishitsu ni narimasu. Soshite, machigai o okashita koto de donara re tari, karakawa re tari shitakunai.
(I don't have confidence. I can't speak English fluently in front of a large number of people. I get nervous. And I don't want to be yelled at or made fun of for making mistakes.)
Akane looked around again, nodding along with her own words where her attention eventually went back to Parker.
Akane Yamashta: I feel fine to speak when I'm back here, or with an interviewer. But, I don't know. I was able to speak to the people in Okinawa, but that was more because of things like adrenaline and being a little too rocked to know where I was. I watched that back and wanted to tell myself to shut up.
A small laugh came from Yamashita, sighing to stop herself from laughing. Moving some hair away from her face with her free hand, she finally got to the point.
Akane Yamashta: Well, I've been going around the bush long enough with pointless rambling. Yeah, I'll face you again. I think we will have a good match at a bigger stage like that. I'm surprised that I am being invited to something like this.
Sean allows himself an understanding smile.
Sean Parker: Naisho o oshieyou. Watashi wa Nihongo o hanashimasu. Watashi no karate sensei wa Okinawa shusshin de, kare ga watashi ni oshiemashita. Kore de anata wa motto kokochiyoku narimasu ka?
(I’ll let you in on a secret. I speak Japanese. My karate Sensei is from Okinawa and he taught me. So would this make you more comfortable?)
Akane was caught off guard by this, having to stop herself from laughing by looking down at the floor again. When she looked back up she was clearly trying to hide a smile.
Akane Yamashta: Ā… mā,-sō kamo ne!
(Ah…well, maybe so!)
Akane Yamashta: Well, hopefully the management people don't get too upset or anything. I know other places don't want foreign languages at all. But anyways, I suppose we will have fun with Destiny. I remember the first time was pretty cool, but it wasn't in Zion. I can't consider myself to be a true champion until I beat the former champion at an event for the company this title belongs to. So, I'm sure nothing will be held back. Let's have fun.
A wide smile crosses Sean’s face.
Sean Parker: Well, no matter what happens, you’ll always have my respect, Yamashita-san.
He then gives Akane a friendly pat on the shoulder.
Sean Parker: I’m sure we’ll see each other before then but until then…ganbatte! (Good luck!)
Sean nods in acknowledgement to Akane before turning and walking away as the cameras go elsewhere.
Backstage at the Climate Pledge Arena.
Melissa Tasman: I said what I said. I'm gonna keep it goin tonight.
The Purge is in my way. Morrison is gonna have to face me alone very soon.
But I'm running the gauntlet of what's left of his little group. One by one I'm going through them. One by one by one.
I promise I'm not gonna stop until I get everything I'm going for. Now then, whos on first?
Fade.
Winter Mae: Well we got some strong words from Melissa Tasman who runs the gauntlet tonight, but next week, Mayhem comes to you live from The Pit in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and we have an exciting line up as it is this year’s season finale!
Kyle Cassidy: They say you gotta go out with a bang and this Mayhem is no different! Earlier tonight, Katrina Lopez announced a gauntlet to take place at this year’s Destiny to crown the inaugural Global Tag Team Champions! Next week, an elimination match will determine the order of that gauntlet! Eduardo Gutiérrez, Eric Silver, Akira Fujimoto, Jane Adler, Livvie Nelson, Lilith Meadows, and Ayumi Kawada all go head to head to determine the order of the gauntlet!
Winter Mae: Two participants in the Fight For Infinity Battle Royal square off, as Dominic Mac Allister and Aubrianna Powers go one on one!
Kyle Cassidy: Morgan Payne has been looking for an answer to all these cryptic messages she’s been getting sent over previous weeks, but she can’t let that distract her from her duties in the ring, especially not against this talent! Next week, she goes one-on-one with Chance Briefcase Ladder Match participant Reina Hamada! All this and more goes down next week on Mayhem!
MAIN EVENT: MELISSA TASMAN VS THE PURGE
GAUNTLET MATCH
Vivian Blake: The following is a Gauntlet Match!
Introducing first…from El Paso, Texas…weighing in at 141 lbs…Melissa! Tasman!
And her first opponent…representing The Purge…weighing in at 246 lbs…Eric! Silver!
Winter Mae: Melissa Tasman has a tall task ahead of her if she hopes to get her shot at the Internet Championship at Destiny!
Kyle Cassidy: Tall task is correct! She’s gonna have to fight through three people just to get to one that’s beaten her plenty of times before! She better be sure that what she’s doing is worth it!
The match starts off frantically with Eric Silver trying to get the drop on Melissa by rushing right as the bell goes, laying into her with a wave of melee strikes that forces Tasman into one of the corners. Eric is relentless but Melissa is able to absorb most of the blows through either dodging or covering up. She fights out of her early predicament, hoisting herself upwards using the ropes either side of her and to land an improvised push kick to drive Eric back. He comes back in though but eats a Tornado DDT for his troubles that receives a big pop from the crowd.
She instantly goes to make a cover, trying to get off to the best start possible.
ONE…!
TWO…!
But Silver kicks out. He attempts to hurry back to his feet but Melissa is on him straightaway, flooring with a clothesline. The momentum sends Eric back to his feet but Melissa is still in the ascendancy, sending him down again with a flying forearm smash before she cleans his clock completely with a stiff lariat. Eric tries to create some separation between he and Tasman by clambering back to his feet and inserting himself between the middle and top ropes. As Melissa goes in for the attack again, the referee stops her as Silver yells to get her back. Melissa refuses though, trying to get to Eric as the referee begins to give her a 5-count but Eric reaches over the referee’s shoulder, catching Tasman with a stiff right hand.
The opening gives Eric a chance to go on the attack himself and he takes Tasman down with a running neckbreaker. He goes for a cover himself.
ONE…!
TWO…!
Tasman kicks out! Eric shows signs of frustration and pulls Melissa up to her feet but out of nowhere, she pulls him into a small package! The referee counts!
ONE…!
TWO…!
THREE!!
Winter Mae: There goes one!
Kyle Cassidy: But she still has two more to go! She’d do well not to draw this out for any longer than she has to!
Eric slams the mat in frustration at being caught unawares by Melissa who pulls herself back to her feet, a wry smile on her face. He goes to make a beeline for her again but the referee stops him and ushers him out of the ring.
However, no sooner is he out when Eric’s brother Quinton is sprinting down the aisle and slides into the ring. He immediately takes down an unsuspecting Melissa with a roaring elbow to the side of the head that sends her tumbling out of the ring. Quinton is quick to follow her out and sends her for a hard Irish whip into the barricade. Melissa yelps out in pain, clutching her ribs as she holds onto the barricade for support, fans at ringside willing her on and encouraging her to fight back. Quinton grabs Melissa by the back of the head, measuring her before connecting with several straight right hands before he pulls her into a front face lock and drills her on the outside with a hard snap suplex.
The referee on the inside of the ring begins to count but only gets flipped off by Quinton for his troubles. He rolls back into the ring before immediately rolling back out again to break the count as he takes his time making his way over to Melissa. She clutches her back in pain, slowly getting to her feet as Quinton goes on the attack again. He charges forward but, out of nowhere, Melissa leaps into the air and catches Quinton with a beautiful dropsault that receives a massive pop from the fans. Quinton looks rattled as he stumbles back to his feet. He goes back on the attack again but again Melissa is ready for him. She goes for another dropsault but this time Quinton sees it coming and stops himself in his tracks, sending Tasman crashing and burning. She clutches her ribs, having had the wind knocked out from the impact and Quinton hastily drags her to her feet, lifting her and drilling her into the ring post with a modified buckle bomb!
Quinton climbs back into the ring but this time he encourages the referee to start the count, knowing that if Melissa gets counted out, she’ll lose her chance for a shot at the Internet Championship! Melissa is down on the side, her face contorted in pain as she holds her back and ribs. The referee begins the count!
One…! Two…! Three…! Four….! Five….! Six….! Seven….! Eight….!
Melissa is up to her feet now and the fans roar her on. She collapses back to one knee though!
NINE…!
TEN…. No! Right at the last second, Melissa rolls back under the bottom rope and the referee confirms the count is broken! The fans cheer with delight as Melissa pulls herself back to her feet using the ropes for help. Quinton looks incensed and immediately makes a beeline for her. He cracks her across the chest with a hard knife-edge chop before lifting her up for a vertical suplex but Melissa, holding her in the air to let the blood drain to her head before slamming her down. Quinton grins arrogantly to a chorus of boos from the crowd before going to the top rope, taking his time, taunting Melissa. He leaps off, looking for the Trophy Hunter frog splash but right before the impact, Melissa manages to pull her knees up, and Quinton’s ribs and front collide with them and he rolls around, writhing in pain. Melissa again climbs to her feet and she looks to take advantage. She drives Quinton into the mat with her signature sit-out facebuster before tiredly making her to the top rope herself, flying off and she pancakes Quinton with the Tasmelian Devil corkscrew splash! She makes the cover as the fans count along with the referee’s hand!
ONE….!
TWO…..!
THREE!!
Winter Mae: And out goes Quinton Silver now!
Kyle Cassidy: That last fight took a lot of her though! Calvin Faye may just be picking bones at this point!
As Melissa jadedly gets back to her feet, Calvin Faye is already bolting down to the ring! He leaps onto the apron and into the ring, instantly flooring Melissa with a hard lariat that cleans Tasman’s clock before he launches himself on top of her, peppering her face with a violent flurry of strikes, even going so far as to bite her forehead. The referee eventually steps in, forcing Calvin off and admonishes him. However Calvin isn’t bothered and brushes the ref aside to go back on the attack. However, Melissa once again showcases her incredible resilience by leaping into the air and catching Faye flush on the jaw with a textbook dropkick.
As Calvin stumbles back into the corner, Melissa builds up a head of steam now, feeling the adrenaline coursing through her. She runs across the ring, engulfing Faye with a big-time corner clothesline that sends him staggering out and Melissa grabs him by the waist, taking him down with a huge German suplex. She keeps a tight grip around Calvin’s waist though and pulls them both back up before sending him down for a second German! Again though, Melissa refuses to let go and once more, drags Calvin back to his feet, launching him overhead with a third and final German suplex, releasing this time and Faye lands hard on the back of his neck and head!
Melissa looks like the match is beginning to take its toll on her. Fighting her way through the Purge is proving to be a herculean task but she sticks with it. She breathes heavily, her chest heaving and sweat is pouring off her brow in such a way that the arena lights create a gleam. She wills herself on and grabs Calvin by the legs and locks in an Indian Deathlock submission hold!
The pain and ache from the triple Germans instantly forgotten about and replaced the agony of the submission hold and Calvin thumps the mat with the bottom of his fist, yelling out in pain. However, being a lot fresher than Tasman, he is able to reverse the polarity of the submission eventually, reversing it into a figure-four leglock! Melissa this time is the one that yells in pain. The referee asks if she wants to tap or give up but she valiantly shakes her head no. However, whilst he’s asking her, Calvin has a hold of the middle ropes behind him, using them for extra momentum. The referee manages to catch him in the act though and instructs him to release the submission or he’ll be disqualified. Melissa clutches at her knees in pain, hobbling back to her feet and Calvin takes her down, goring through her with the Quick, Fit Check! and he goes for the cover!
ONE…!
TWO…!
THREE…..NO! Melissa kicks out! And Calvin can’t believe it! The fans cheer loudly as Faye slaps the mat furiously and gets in the ref’s face, holding three fingers up. He goes back on the attack, pulling Melissa to her feet and goes for his Stacked 'Em High piledriver but Melissa tenaciously fights out of it! She backdrops Calvin from her precarious position before running off the ropes and nailing him with a beautiful dropsault and the fans come to life again for her. Melissa begins to feel it and she stands over Calvin, wrapping his arms up before locking in the Texas Heat!
Winter Mae: TEXAS HEAT! TEXAS HEAT IS IN!!
Kyle Cassidy: Holy shit, she might actually do this!!
Calvin screams in pain, trapped in the middle of the ring. His hand is hovering over the mat as the referee vociferously asks if he wants to give up. Just as he’s about to tap though, Melissa is nailed from behind! The camera pans out and Jack Morrison stands over her, Internet Championship in-hand. The referee immediately calls for the bell as the fans boo loudly.
Winter Mae: Oh, what the hell?!
Kyle Cassidy: Speaking of people feeling the heat, The Ripper is here!
Morrison begins to direct traffic now, as Faye and the Silver brothers both begin to ruthlessly go at Tasman with stomps! The trio leave Tasman on the mat, clinging to consciousness as Morrison barks more orders at them!
Winter Mae: This is an absolutely sickening display by the champion!
Kyle Cassidy: But it’s what he’s willing to do to hold onto that gold! And if he lands this attack he may just do so a little while longer!
Morrison waits in the corner as the trio get Tasman up into position! Morrison runs in now, catching her with Dear Boss! Tasman slumps to the mat, not moving an inch! Despite this, Morrison still orders the three to get her up, rushing in and nailing Tasman with another Dear Boss! Tasman is left lying in the middle of the ring!
Winter Mae: Tasman may have gotten the win, but at what cost?
Kyle Cassidy: The phrase that comes to mind is be careful what you watch for! Jack Morrison may just turn Melissa Tasman’s dream into a nightmare in Dallas!
The last visual we get for the night is Jack Morrison, Calvin Faye, and the Silver Brothers all standing tall, the Internet Champion holding his gold up before a booing crowd as we fade to black!
