We cut backstage moments after the shocking announcement made by Zachary Porter as we see him make his way through the curtain. His body is covered in sweat after his hard fought battle with Morgan Payne as he begins to remove the wrist tape from around his wrists. After a few moments, Eduardo Gutiérrez, Miguel Ortiz and Global Heavyweight Champion, Kara “Killer” Carbajal arrive on the scene and all of them have the same expression on their faces - one of sadness and confusion. Porter lets out a small sigh as he glances down to the floor, as if he knew this would be coming and then Gutiérrez outstretches his arms as he looks deep into the eyes of his stablemate.
Eduardo Gutiérrez: Zach? Hermano? Please tell us that was just a joke, man? A rib? You can’t quit… you’ll bounce back from this because you’re Zach freakin’ Porter!
Porter doesn’t say anything as the young Spaniard shakes his head and runs his hands through his mullet as Carbajal takes a step forward.
Kara "Killer" Carbajal: You said out there that Ed doesn’t need you… that Miguel doesn’t need you… that I don’t need you? You’re wrong, Zach. We do need you. The Void needs you. You’re our family. We remembered you when no one else did. You can’t leave us behind… not like this. Please?
Once again, the former World Champion says nothing which causes Gutiérrez to almost snap at him.
Eduardo Gutiérrez: Say something, man!
Ortiz places a hand on the young Spaniard’s chest, clearly he’s not taking the news of his stablemate quitting well which forces his future brother-in-law to calm him down before he then steps to Porter.
Miguel Ortiz: Whether you think it or not… we need you, man. The Void isn’t complete without you… our family isn’t complete without you as a part of it.
The Mauler paused and looked at his stablemate, his brother. He tried to have a reassuring look on his face, but he knew that it was hard to hide the shock and such from the sudden announcement.
Miguel Ortiz: You’re one of the best out there, Zach. That’s why KC and I came to you. That’s why we wanted to have you by our side. None of that has changed. You’re our brother no matter what.
Ortiz then puts one arm around Porter before Carbajal then puts her arm around him from the other side while Gutiérrez comes in to complete the group hug. They stay in place for a few moments before then breaking away and Porter simply just nods before walking past all three of them and disappearing off camera, much to the sadness and disappointment of the rest of The Void who watch him leave as the feed cuts off.
