A video package played in the background of Becca Black defeating Alex Andrews in her first match in a major promotion in over two years. The emotion Becca had was shown in the video, leading to the interviewers first question.
Winter Mae: “Last time out, you were successful in your ZION debut as you defeated Alex Andrews. How do you feel after being out of the ring for so long…?”
Becca took a big sigh before taking her towel out of her face.
Becca Black: “Two long years I was out of the ring. Two years of my career took off. Spinal stenosis, they said. The doctors said that I’d never be fit to wrestle again, it’s crazy. I thought my dreams were over… I had come to terms with it. I laid down roots. I was done with wrestling, and to make a miraculous comeback is just insane. What I did out there, to Alex Andrews, was nothing more than a statement. It was never going to go another way."
Winter Mae: “A statement you did make! What do you have planned next now that you have both feet in the door?”
Becca Black: “Well, whatever your name is… I can do whatever the fuck I want. I am THE Gaijin Goddess, I am THE Darling of Professional Wrestling. The scene opens up backstage where we can see Calvin Faye pacing back and forth before his match, he notices the camera and begins to talk.

He begins to pace back and forth as he speaks.
Calvin Faye: Melissa Tasman, you don’t know what you’re steppin into the ring with! I’m a DAWG! I’m bitin the fart bubbles in the bath! I’m off twelve vicodin… smokin on Scoody-Doo Dick! I’ll watch you slowly fade into darkness and let the archangles take you!
Stifled laughter can be heard behind the camera, one can only assume it’s Calvins usual running crew.
Calvin Faye: I’m movin like French Montana! My shooter a crackhead, he look like Woody Harrelson! I bet you ain’t ever seen ten bands in your life, jit!
More laughter from behind the camera as the camera gets uncomfortably close to Calvin.
Calvin Faye: Reach for my neck, and you’ll get turned into an example. Y’all gotta stop playin with me! We out here smokin filtered crack you stupid piece of shit, I’ll fuckin kill you!
The group behind the camera breaks out in laughter, and Calvin looks straight into the lens, a serious expression on his face as he walks out of frame and the scene fades.
MATCH #2: MELISSA TASMAN VS CALVIN FAYE
The match starts off quick, with Calvin attempting to catch Melissa off guard with a flurry of quick strikes and kicks that sends her back into the corner. He continues to pummel into her as the referee begins to enforce the five count, before they can get to five he pulls back and gets into their face, before turning back to Melissa who hits him with a drop toe hold that sends him face first into the middle turnbuckle. Calvin stumbles out the corner now, only for Tasman to hit him with a dropsault that catches him flush! She goes for the cover, but only gets a quick two count.
Melissa continues to be in control for this match up, laying into Calvin with chops and kicks that send him to his knees, she goes for a roundhouse kick to the chest that he’s able to dodge out the way of, kipping up to his feet and hitting her with a combo of quick right hands before charging up, and nailing her with a left uppercut that sends her to the mat, he then takes off on the ropes and nails her with the “Quick, Fit Check” spear that cuts her in half! He covers her, but only gets a two count for his efforts.
He picks her up by the hair, which the official scolds him for, as he sets up for the “Knock ‘Em Stiff”, getting her in a pumphandle position, but she counters out of it! She hits him with a hip toss, and when he gets back to his feet she quickly grabs him and locks him in the “Texas Heat”! Calvin has nowhere to go, and taps out!
Vivian Blake: The winner of this match, via submission…Melissa! Tasman!
Winter Mae: Calvin Faye may have had the flow, but he didn’t have the means to protect himself from the Texas Heat! Melissa Tasman gets the win here tonight!
Kyle Cassidy: Melissa Tasman has had it out for the Internet Championship for months, and with that victory, she may have just gotten herself even closer to her goal!

The MVP has an arrogant smirk etched across her beautiful face.
Aubrianna Powers: Lately I have been screwed over by Zion. The system has screwed me over at the Madness Rumble and it screwed me over when I had a shot to become Endurance Champion. And I am sure the idiot braintrust has some nefarious plot to commit an injustice against me tonight against Jack Morrison…
She rolls her Most Valuable Eyes.
Aubrianna Powers: …but I’ll get to him in a moment. First, I want to say that while I have been screwed over quite a bit lately, that all comes to an end right here, because that idiot Jacky Morrison is CLEARLY trying to steal my shtick! “The Gun Show” by In This Moment blasts out of the PA system and the fans boo heavily as Kara “Killer” Carbajal struts out onto the stage with her Global Heavyweight Championship draped over her shoulder. Removing the championship from over her shoulder, she raises it high above her head with a smirk before replacing it back over her shoulder as she begins to saunter down the ramp, mouthing off to the fans on the way.
Winter Mae: Well here comes our Global Heavyweight Champion, Kyle.
Kyle Cassidy: The Mamacita of Mayhem! The Void Queen! Kara “Killer” Carbajal is here!
Carbajal reaches the bottom of the ramp and makes her way up the steel steps and then climbs through the ropes. She makes her way over to ring announcer Vivian Blake, and snatches the microphone from her before yelling at her to get out of her ring as “The Gun Show” fades out.

Megumi celebrates, with Payne pulling herself up to her feet and approaching her. The two stand off for a moment, before Payne offers her hand! The two shake, before eventually pulling in for a hug as we fade!

Akane Yamashta was seen watching the show backstage, her arms crossed with her eyes glued to the television screen in front of her. She was silent for a couple moments, as if she was studying the matches that were going on. Not dressed to compete, Yamashita was sporting her new T-Shirt with matching track pants with blood splatters all over the place. Akane had looked towards the camera with a small smile.
Akane Yamashita: Hello there! The show has been fun so far, and I'm sure it'll get even better by the time we get to the Main Event. I wanted to take a few minutes to reflect on some things that were on my mind.
There was a pause from Akane, comfortably holding the two championship belts on her shoulders while thinking about what to say next.
Akane Yamashita: Last time I was here, I was defending the Endurance Championship against Savannah Lawrence. I never expected the match to be easy, and I'm happy that I got the challenge that I was looking for. I don't want any easy matches or title defenses, because I wouldn't feel like a good champion. The point of being a champion is to face the best people that are around. I'm happy to face anybody, but at the end of the day I still want the best challenge that I can get.
A smile came from Akane once again, looking over that the Endurance Championship that was resting on her shoulder with a small sigh coming from her.
Akane Yamashita: On the other hand, I'll be teaming with one of my best rivals in a couple weeks, so I'm looking forward to that too. When it comes to my career, I don't want to overlook anything at all, even if it's a tag team match or a battle royal. Every match that I have, gets every second of my attention.
Yamashita’s smile never left her face, taking a look around the locker room before she continued with what she had to say.
Akane Yamashita: But! Bringing the topic back to Zion, I'm looking towards Destiny at the moment. There's so many amazing challenges here on Mayhem, and over on Fusion and Wasteland. I trust that I'll have the best of the best standing across from the ring from me at that massive event. If I have a defense before that, then I'll happily shift my attention to that. I hope everyone saw the title defense, because I wouldn't hesitate to knock out anyone else on this roster. I never expected to be in the position that I'm in, but you can guarantee that I won't give up this position easily. You're going to have to kill me first.
Another pause came from Yamashta.
Akane Yamashita: That's all I have to say for now! I hope you all enjoy the rest of the show, as I will be watching the rest of it too. Have fun, everyone!
Akane just laughed and waved to the camera, then turned back around to look at the television screen that was next to her. The camera eventually buzzed away and went to the next thing on the agenda.
As “Classy” Bianca Page is walking backstage of the Target Center. As she approaches the Gorilla Position Meliana Rodrigo comes up to Bianca.
Meliana Rodrigo: Before you head out to the ring, Bianca, may I have a word with you?
Looking annoyed Bianca looks over at Meliana. Bianca crosses her arms and just stares at Meliana.
Meliana Rodrigo: Well?
“Classy” Bianca Page: (Bianca rolls her eyes)
Meliana Rodrigo: Really? This is very childish of you Bianca.
A stunned look comes over Bianca’s face.
“Classy” Bianca Page: How dare you?!?!
Meliana Rodrigo: How dare I?!?!
“Classy” Bianca Page: So you get that you’re at fault?
Meliana rolls her eyes.
“Classy” Bianca Page: Now I am sure you all had to witness several weeks ago that at Madness I was robbed of my Internet Championship. How are people still ignoring that? But we all saw how I dealt with that. I made sure Tater head didn’t win the Internet Championship and then I sent his pathetic ass all the way to the Wasteland. Which is obviously the only place he should be.
Meliana Rodrigo: Are you saying you orchestrated that?
“Classy” Bianca Page: Duh Meliana!
Meliana Rodrigo: (Shakes her head in amazement) Well…what about your return to a Zion Wrestling ring tonight against Kevin Mears?
“Classy” Bianca Page: Ah yes, good old Kevin. It is no surprise to everyone that Kevin has history with my family. He dated Summer for a while, they were a part of the Four Aces group during their Uprising days, and still he alludes to being with Summer even though he is with Serenity. Sounds like he is still hung up on my sister, right?
Meliana shrugs her shoulders.
Meliana Rodrigo: I understand they are still friends.
“Classy” Bianca Page: Ah what do you know? You’re the same lady who thinks I am childish. Get real, lady! But despite their will they or won’t they Romcom Kevin is a hell of a wrestler. He has been successful wherever he goes, a former World Champion, and he is a hell of a guy.
Meliana Rodrigo: Hell of a guy? It didn’t sound like you thought so just a minute ago.
“Classy” Bianca Page: Unlike you I am complex, Meliana, and I am so ready to get into the ring with someone on Kevin’s level. Why? Because I need to put Madness and losing the Internet Championship behind me and focus on what I ultimately want. That of course is the Zion Wrestling Global Championship. So getting back on track is a must and sorry, not sorry, Kevin but you are simply in my way of getting what I want.
MATCH #5: KEVIN MEARS VS BIANCA PAGE
Page and Mears start this one off at a mile a minute, with the two seemingly about to grapple before Page drops the act and goes for a Clothesline! Mears rushes underneath it however, hitting the ropes before catching Page with a Knee Strike! Page falls back into the ropes, before coming back and looking for a Discus Clothesline! But Mears ducks underneath that as well, grabbing Page from behind and taking her down with a German Suplex! He bridges for the pin, with Page kicking out at two! But Mears isn’t done yet, nailing Page with another Knee Strike as she attempts to get to her feet! Another pin by Mears, with Page kicking out again!
Mears looks to follow up, pulling Page to her feet for another move! But Page fights back now, swatting Mears’ hands away before knocking him with a Forearm! Mears falls back into the ropes, with Page looking for an Irish Whip! But Mears reverses, sending Page into the ropes with an Irish Whip instead! Mears looks to catch her as she returns, but Page shows off her athleticism, sliding between Mears’ legs and popping to her feet behind him before nailing him with a Dropkick when he turns around! Mears rolls out of the ring as Page kips up to her feet! She sees an opportunity to fly, hitting the ropes as she advances towards Mears’ side of the ring! But Mears is quick, sliding back into the ring and catching her with a Slingblade!
Mears looks for the finish, waiting for Page to make it to her feet before going for Aces High! Page dodges the Scissor Kick however, catching him with the Swanky Superkick! Page goes to the top rope now, looking for Pure Elegance! Mears avoids taking the full impact of the Corkscrew Moonsault however, getting his knees up! He pulls Page to her feet, taking her down with The Flop (Corkscrew Neckbreaker)! Pin by Mears, with Page just getting the shoulder up before three! Mears pulls Page to her feet, looking for Going Broke! But Page reverses, getting Mears in position before dropping him with the Binx Brainbuster! She goes to the top rope now, finally catching Mears with Pure Elegance (Corkscrew Moonsault)! Pin by Page, getting the win!

Winter Mae: Bianca Page gets herself some much needed momentum back from this amazing performance!

We see Alex Andrews sitting on a production crate, almost lost in thought. After a moment, she brushes a strand of hair behind her ear as she glances at the camera.
Alex Andrews:
You know something? I'm not satisfied. Not with how that match with Becca Black ended. Not at all. I almost had her. Almost, but she didn't play fair, did she?
Her hands close into fists and she lets out a small sigh.
Alex Andrews:
I mean, I shouldn't be surprised, should I? Not everyone plays fair, I get that. But you know, I would have thought the owner of a big company would have wanted to actually test her skills and not, ya know, go for the cheap win. So as far as I'm concerned, nothing was resolved. Nothing was settled.
Alex shakes her head and just glares hard at the camera.
Alex Andrews:
My skills weren't truly shown off and neither were yours, Becca, you just proved what lengths you'll go for a win, didn't you? So how about this, Becca? Let's do it again. One more time, no trick, no underhanded ploys, just you and I and our wits and our skillsets? Or is that too much to ask? You want to start the Becca Black Comeback Tour like that? Or would you rather just move on knowing you had to beat me by using a handful of tights? What kind of woman are you, truly Becca?
And with that, Alex moves and pushes herself off of the crate, her gaze still a stern serious one and then it softens just a little with a smile.
Alex Andrews:
I guess we'll find out.
MATCH #6: THE LAST OF THE VALKYRIES VS HEBI NO RENGO
We see Lilith and Lien opening up for the match, as Lien would get the opening advantage with a side headlock takedown. She puts pressure onto her neck, before Lilith would manage to escape the hold. Lien connects with a kick to the ribs as she gets up, though a follow up was caught, as she is tripped up and locked into a heel hook.
Kamiya was caught in the hold, but she forced Lilith off of her fairly quickly. Lilith would run to the ropes, and catches her with a neckbreaker. Lilith would set up for a chop block to try to take out the leg, though, Lien would leapfrog over her, and then catches her with a bridging Northern Lights Suplex

Lilith kicked out, as Lien dragged her by the hair to tag in Akira Fujimoto. Lien would wrench Lilith's arm, before throwing her over with a hip toss, as Akira flies in with a slingshot leg drop. She goes for another cover.

Christina would break up the fall, as Akira would pieface Lilith in disrespect when she gets her back up. Akira would go for a hard whip into the corner, with Lilith falling into a seated position. She runs for a cannonball senton, however, Lilith evades with Akira forcing herself into the corner back first. Lilith would grab Akira, as she tossed her into the ring post and tagged in Christina. Christina would hit the ropes and connected with knees to the back, as she goes for a pin attempt.

Fujimoto kicked out, as Christina would grab her hair before slamming her back into the mat when they're both getting up and connected with a standing moonsault. Getting cocky, Christina would head to the top rope, as down below, Hayumi is shouting up at her which is a long enough distraction for Akira to pull her down into a Death Valley Driver, and a cover.

Lilith breaks up the pin attempt, as Akira tagged in Lien for the both of them to plant Christina with a double suplex. Lilith would rush to try to stop a pin, as Akira goes to tackle her, with them rolling out if the ring to brawl. Lien was looking to set up the Black Lotus Driver, however we see Hayumi Yamamoto attacked from behind by Rixley Stark and Nyx Blackthorn. Lien is distracted, as she heads to the ropes to attempt to brawl with her, though Christina rolled her up.

Rixley Stark and Nyx Blackthorn give Fujimoto and Kamiya a condescending wave, as Olson and Meadows celebrate their win!

The scene opens in the stairwell inside the Zion Wrestling Stadium. Wearing his trademark leather jacket, Zachary Porter is seated. He stares straight into the camera. A smile creeps on his face.
Zachary Porter: Almost poetic in a way that it has come down to this. World Cup Rules. No interference. Interference has been the story of our rivalry Sean, hasn’t it Sean? Other people sticking their noses where it doesn’t belong. Nami handed you a win over me the first time. Shenanigans were at play when I beat you one-on-one. That fatal four way match to determine stakes for Madness, didn’t settle a goddamn thing. I did get the last laugh at Madness.
Zach chuckles.
Zachary Porter: “Eliminating you made it easier for me to sleep at night. After that night, I wanted to walk away from you once and for all. I have more important things to focus on, like main eventing Destiny III in my home state. But Katrina wouldn’t allow me to saunter into the sunset setting up this World Cup to ensure we would see each other one last time for the time being. Lets face it, nothing in wrestling truly ends in wrestling. I didn’t want to see Nami or the Kingdom’s face after War Games. Next week I get to humble Morgan Paye. No moving on.”
“As far as we’re concerned Sean, it is my intention, with Destiny III looming around the corner, that I clear one of the last remaining bugaboos that stands between me and the main event...”
Zach points at the camera.
Zachary Porter: “YOU!”
“I made a promise I’d prevent YOU from winning the World Cup. Just like Madness, I am going to keep my promise. I eliminated you from the Rumble. I will eliminate you from World Cup contention. You will have to live with the fact that I am better than you. No ins. Ands. Or butts.
With a heavy scoff, Zach rises to his feet. He walks away as the scene fades to black.
Once again, as has been the case since the start of the World Cup in Zion, Sean Parker is fired up before his match. He paces back and forth like a caged lion, only giving fleeting glances to the camera every now and then to acknowledge its presence. He slams a taped fist into his other palm over and over, his brow furrowed.
Sean Parker: So since this World Cup started, I’ve said a lot of stuff. Made a lot of claims. Some of them have panned out, some haven’t. I don’t know where I went wrong. From beating Nami, drawing with Morgan to getting caught off-guard by Jen Sharpe.
Sean shakes his head at that last one as he rolls his eyes at the fact that not only did he get beaten but he was forced to tap out last week on Mayhem.
Sean Parker: And here we go, Zach. This is it. After all the trash talk, all the back-and-forths online, all the bullshit since even before the world cup, even going back to before the Madness Rumble. Time to put up or shut up and all that cliché shite.
Still not looking directly at the camera, Sean points a finger at himself before waving it in an almost accusatory finger at the camera.
Sean Parker: You and I? We’ve pushed each other’s buttons, Zach. Poked and prodded at the other’s psyches. Both of us are adamant we’re better than each other, that we’re deserving of more than we’re getting here in Zion. You want to prove you’re the same guy that won the Madness Rumble before, the same guy that’s one of the longest-reigning champions in Zion history.
Me? I want to prove that I’m one of, if not the best pure athlete in this entire company, that I’m deserving of being mentioned alongside the names of some of the greatest wrestlers this company has ever had! To show why the Zion roster voted me the Breakout Star of 2023, why I was such an impressive Endurance Champion, why I’m a future World Champion-level competitor in this company! Why Andre Holmes drafted me as the first pick for the NPWA! Why I’m making waves for TRIAD against the best wrestlers on this planet!
And neither of us can achieve those goals if we don’t progress in the World Cup, Zach, can we? Neither of us wants to go to a draw, both of us are going to come into this match with everything we have, everything to prove and even more to lose! And that’s what makes this match so special, Zach, it’s why we’re main-eventing. A chance for you to prove you’re as good as I know you can be when the Void aren’t doing what the Void always do.
But, in spite of all of the hate inside your eyes, only one of us can truly come out of this match in one piece. Unfortunately for you, Zach, I’m not here just to win, I’m here to make a statement, to avenge every cruel word you’ve spoken and every underhanded action you’ve performed.
Sean gets right in the camera lens, mere millimeters from it, his emerald green eyes blazing, nostrils flaring as if he’s preparing to breathe fire.
Sean Parker: I’m here to destroy you, Zach. Plain and simple! I’m here to destroy you and any hope you’ve got of reaching the knockouts of the World Cup. See, in a matter of minutes, you’re not walking down a ramp and climbing into a wrestling ring, no, no, no!
Again, Sean wags his finger.
Sean Parker: Nuh-uh! You are walking the last mile, down to the gallows that await you. But your demise isn’t going to be a nous around your neck, no.
Sean brings his elbow up to the camera and slams his other hand onto it for emphasis.
Sean Parker: It’s going to be a Masamune Decapitation to the fucking face. Fuck Zachary Porter… fuck the Void…
…Long…live…the Assassin!
And with that, Sean storms off, the camera following him as he makes his way to Gorilla Position as we return to the ring.
Winter Mae: Both competitors fired up for what is sure to be a hot Main Event! But before we get to that, let’s take a look at what we have in store for next week! Mayhem 106 comes to you live from the Wells Fargo Center in Philadephia, Pennsylvania, and is the last stop for Mayhem before our very special episode, Mayhem: Clarity!
Kyle Cassidy: That’s right, and after listening to everything said between these competitors tonight, Katrina Lopez has decided to put together a hot opener for next week that could have major implications on that event! These three all want a piece of either each other, or some gold, and next week they’ll have an opportunity at both, as Reina Hamada, Alex Andrews, and Becca Black all square off in a Triple Threat Match to determine who will challenge for the Internet Championship at Mayhem: Clarity!
Winter Mae: Speaking off the Internet Championship, Jack Morrison has been impressive in his second run so far! But after an impressive victory in her own right tonight, his next challenger may have the means to end his second reign the same way as his first! Former Internet Champion, Bianca Page finishes off her trilogy against The Ripper one-on-one next week!
Kyle Cassidy: Two tag teams looking to get some last minute momentum going into their championship match at Clarity face off in halves next week! Serenity Holmes was already able to get the best of Hana Megumi, but will that same thing be the case when the two powerhouses of their teams square off? We’ll find out, as Livvie Nelson takes on Eden Sterling next week!
Winter Mae: We’re looming ever closer to the finals of the World Cup, and at this point, it could be a lot of people’s game! Next week, Sean Parker takes on Kaitlin Williams, Zachary Porter goes against Morgan Payne, and Nami Megumi takes on Jenna Sharpe! If any ties are made in these final week matches, a tiebreaker match will main event the show! Either way, we will find out next week who will be winning the Gold League!
