As soon as the shows opening is done, the fans erupt with a roar as none other than the Queen of Bows appears on the ‘tron, stepping out of her rental car! She looks up, seeing the camera, and smiles brightly.
Risa Lemon: : WHAT'S UP WASTELAND?!
The crowd cheers even louder than before as Risa puts a hand to her ear as if to listen to their adulation of her before giggling. Her face quickly turns serious though as she adjusts the BWF National Title on her shoulder.
Risa Lemon: : Tonight I face a dangerous opponent in Selene Jackson. She's a world class competitor, and I am 100% focused on what I am going to have to do to win tonight. That being said…
The Queen of Bows grins.
Risa Lemon: : A lot of people have asked what's next for Risa Lemon, following me losing the Queen of Strong Style Championship. Tonight, I am here to tell you this.
Her expression turns somber, but it only lasts a moment before her grin returns.
Risa Lemon: : Honestly? I don't know! For now, I'm going to work on being the best I can be. With hard work comes rewards, and I'm going to show each and every person who tunes in to Wasteland that I'm one of, if not the, hardest workers that Zion has ever seen!
She smiles, picking her bag backup.
Risa Lemon: : I'll see you guys later tonight when I face Selene. Enjoy the show!
The camera fades as the Queen of Bows heads for her locker room.
OPENING CONTESTTATER vs Lee Kincade
As the bell sounded, Lee looked at TATER as the man began circling her. He went to grab her, but she slid between his arms and threw a few stiff kicks to the back of his knees. He ended up down on one knee, and she backed up before delivering a hard yakuza kick to his head. This caused him to shake his head some, trying to shake off the impact. Unfortunately for Lee, it didn’t take her bigger opponent down to the mat like she was hoping. She eyed him and the ropes before running towards them, launching herself off only to be caught by TATER. She tried wiggling free with no success, and he flipped her around to where she was on his shoulders before slamming her down with a devestating powerslam! Lee rolled away, groaning a little from the impact as she did.
TATER followed her, but she swept his leg out from under him before he could grab her. This caused him to drop to the mat though both wrestlers were back on their feet pretty quick. Lee charged at TATER, nailing him with a slingblade that showed him hitting the mat with viciousness. Back on her feet, Kincade waited for TATER to get back to his feet before hitting him with a running snapmare driver, spiking him down to the mat once more. He shook his head, trying to shake the cobwebs from the repeated hits and to get back in the match. As he did that, Lee popped back up to her feet and springboarded off of the ropes, going for Break Even, but TATER caught her again! He tossed her up only to pull Masher-Bomb out of nowhere! After slamming her down, he pinned Lee and the referee slid to the mat to make the count for the pin attempt.

We cut backstage to the locker room belonging to Schadenfreude as we see Werner Kühn sitting on a chair with his hands pressed together with a look of guilt on his face. His wife and manager, Heidi Krauss, sits beside him with her arm over him when the sound of the locker room door opening and closing is heard and Dietrich Kühn appears on scene and this brings both Werner and Heidi to their feet.
Werner Kühn: Dietrich? Letzte Woche. Es war meine Schuld. I apologize.
Dietrich Kühn: NEIN!
Dietrich glares into the eyes of his older brother, the look on Krauss’ face is one of concern.
Dietrich Kühn: Apologies are for the weak! Wir sind Brüder! Wir sind eine Familie! Wir sind Schadenfreude!
Krauss’ expression now changes to a smile as she nods and so does Werner.
Dietrich Kühn: Even the greatest have setbacks. Including us. Frau Collins und Frau Gibson hatten letzte Woche Glück. Das nächste Mal werden sie nicht so viel Glück haben.
Werner nods again, this time more confidently.
Werner Kühn: Und heute Abend werden die Edelsteine den Zorn der Kühn-Brüder zu spüren bekommen!
Heidi Krauss: Es lebe die Schadenfreude.
The Kühn brothers then turn towards the camera in one swift motion and stand to attention while Krauss smiles wickedly into the camera as we slowly fade and then cut elsewhere.
MATCH TWOSchadenfreude vs The Gemstones
Dietrich started the match off for Schadenfreude against Sapphire from the Gemstones with Sapphire watching the calculating competitor across from her carefully. Sapphire ran toward Werner, looking for a running dropkick, but he sidestepped her to avoid it. He got her up from the mat only to hit her with snap DDT, spiking her down. He got her to her feet and threw her into the ropes, hitting her with a vicious clothesline when she came back at him. Glancing behind him, he looked at Werner, and the two nodded before Werner tagged him in. Ruby watched on in frustration at the quick tag, calling out for Sapphire to get to her, but it was to little aid. Dietrich lifted her up in a powerbomb position before throwing her to Werner who nailed her with a hard German suplex. Werner got back to a standing position as Dietrich exited the ring and nailed her with a forearm smash that sent her stumbling. He went for a back elbow strike, but she ducked under his arm and nailed Werner with an enzuigiri that sent him down but didn’t keep him down.
Werner was back on his feet just as she leaped toward her corner to tag Ruby in! Ruby came barreling in, hitting a beautiful arm drag on Werner that sent him flying before following up with a dropkick as he came at her once he was on his feet again. The dropkick caught him off guard and allowed Ruby to go for a meteora, but Werner moved at the last second! He lifted her up and nailed her with a European uppercut, a grimace on his face as he looked at his fallen opponent. It was clear that he had enough of her and was ready to take care of business the rest of the way. He tagged Dietrich back in, and Werner threw her to Dietrich for an assisted tilt-a-whirl backbreaker. Werner got out of the ring, and Dietrich turned to Ruby who was back on her feet. She ran towards Dietrich, but he lifted her into the air and nailed her with Deutscher Tod before pinning her.

Backstage at the Zion Stadium, Selene was standing outside of the locker room, ready for her upcoming match against Risa Saito. She began walking down the hall with Lorelei trailing behind her, a smirk on the younger woman’s face as she did. The two walked in silence for a few moments before Selene looked over at the camera that was following them and smirked.
Selene Jackson: Risa Saito…you recently decided that there was no return to your past. That was a wise choice on your end. Our past only holds us down, afterall.
Selene paused in her words for a moment, brushing some stray hair out of her face. She glanced back at Lorelei who only nodded, encouraging the other woman to continue with her words.
Selene Jackson: You’re highly decorated…what? Surprised I know that? I’m not a simpleton like others you may have faced in the past. I do my research on my opponents in order to know what I’m working against.
Another pause though this one was rather short lived compared to the other one.
Selene Jackson: Most of your accolades were of your own accord with a few that came with a partner which is admirable in and of itself. There’s not many people in this world that I could ever stand long enough to team up with, so I commend you for that. Your most recent championship was just lost recently…against someone that many people thought had changed. A wolf hiding in sheep’s clothing, really, but I digress since she’s not who I’m facing this evening.
Lorelei Jackson: Leave her to those concerned about her and the group she’s a part of.
Selene nodded in agreement with her sister’s advice before pausing in her steps, having reached the guerilla area.
Selene Jackson: Something you’ll learn about me tonight, little Saito? I don’t take well to losses, and well…unluckily for you, I’ve had a bit of bad luck lately. And Summers, don’t think I’ve forgotten about you. Things aren’t over between us by a long shot. Risa…I’ll see you in the ring.
With that, Selene sneered at the camera before Lorelei shooed the camera person away, a grimace on her face as she did so.
MATCH THREE Risa Lemon vs Selene Jackson
Selene stared down Risa, but it was clear that the smaller woman wasn’t going to be intimidated by her opponent. Jackson smirked as she looked at Saito before charging at her, looking for a running dropkick that was dodged. Saito went for a spinning back fist, but Jackson caught her by the wrist and sent her flying into the corner. Selene followed after her, catching her with a hard chop across the chest that made the crowd wince. Risa leaned forward, holding her chest from the impact, but Selene wasn’t done. She went for a foot choke, but Risa grabbed the other woman’s ankle and brought her elbow down on her knee as hard as she could, leaving Jackson to jerk her leg down and grab her knee. Risa ran at her and caught her with a hard monkey flip that sent Selene crashing down hard against the mat. Jackson got back to her feet, but she was taken down again with a neckbreaker delivered near-perfectly by Saito.
As Jackson got back to her feet, Saito ran at her again, this time going for a vicious running DDT, but Selene was able to counter it with a DDT of her own! Risa was planted onto the mat, giving Selene a chance to catch her breath. It didn’t last long, though, as Saito was up before Jackson knew it. The Queen of Bows was fired up after having her move countered, and that much was clear as she charged at Selene. She springboarded herself off of the ropes, taking Selene down with an armdrag that left the crowd cheering in the process. Jackson slowly got back to her feet, ducking a roundhouse kick before going for a belly-to-belly suplex that sent Jackson across the ring. Risa used the ropes to pull herself up again, her never quit attitude starting to really kick in against Jackson. She ran at the woman once more, this time grabbing Selene’s wrist before hitting Lemon Zest out of nowhere! As Jackson slowly got back to her feet, Risa hit Tiggynado then pinned her!

The camera finds the members of Las Olvidadas, Carmen Lucia “Turbo” Leija, Gabriela “Taza” Carbajal and Essentia “Sangre” Carbajal standing in the ready position waiting for their match later.
Carmen Lucia “Turbo” Leija: We still work here?
Taza shrugs nonchalantly.
Gabriela “Taza” Carbajal: Despite being left out of everything else our family does, we do.
Sangre nods to Taza.
Essentia “Sangre” Carbajal: Killer’s doing well on Mayhem, isn’t she?
Taza nods right back.
Gabriela “Taza” Carbajal: Same show as Diamond and…
Sangre shakes her head.
Essentia “Sangre” Carbajal: Not anymore. Mi cuñada is here now. Paloma will not be happy with me if what happened to Sapphire on Mayhem happens again with us here on Wasteland.
Turbo giggles.
Carmen Lucia “Turbo” Leija: So you have cousins on Trauma, Taza’s wife is on Mayhem, Sangre’s sister-in-law is here and we have Tavi here as well.
Taza nods knowingly.
Gabriela “Taza” Carbajal: And now we meet Reaper Crisis, Jesse Bennett and Kennedy Quinn.
Sangre smirks.
Essentia “Sangre” Carbajal: You know their third will be around.
Turbo shrugs as if it doesn’t matter at all.
Carmen Lucia “Turbo” Leija: That is where I come in, yes?
Taza and Sangre both nod.
Gabriela “Taza” Carbajal: Yes and now this is when we remind everyone of what was forgotten.
Sangre nods her agreement.
Essentia “Sangre” Carbajal: It is time.
Turbo smirks with amusement.
Carmen Lucia “Turbo” Leija: ¡Qué chimba! Let’s rock!
MATCH FOURMarcus Uriah Dunne vs Jason Gray
The bell rings to start this match as Jason Gray rushes in and immediately gets in some offense, nailing Dunne over the head with a set of quick punches! Dunne doesn’t seem to be phased by this however, eating all of the hits the Swiss Army Knife throws his way before returning them with a single Headbutt that drives him to the mat! Gray tries to get back up to his feet, only for Dunne to beat him to it by snatching him up by the head! He lands a few slaps across the man’s face, before throwing him to the ropes in hopes of him coming back for more punishment! This was wishful thinking however, with Gray instead sliding under the bottom rope and out of the ring to avoid him! Gray begins to scroll across the ringside area, seemingly fine with taking a countout loss if it means not having to take more of a beating! One person who isn’t okay with it is Dunne, who hits the ropes and launches himself out of the ring, landing right on Gray and sending him back into the barricade!
Dunne doesn’t stop the beating there, nailing Gray repeatedly with Stomps against the barricade until the referee reaches a nine count! Dunne rolls back into the ring, before immediately rolling back out again to continue to milk the count as he proceeds to stomp Gray out against the barricade again! He pulls Gray to his feet, looking to throw him back into the ring! But Gray fights back, throwing Dunne into the apron instead before pushing him back into the ring! Gray slides back into the ring after him, taking to the corner and waiting for him to get up to unleash a move! But Dunne drops down onto his back to avoid it, before kipping up and dropping Gray with the MUDKIP! Dunne isn’t finished there, however, immediately rolling Gray over and putting him in the Flintlock (LaBelle Lock)! Gray doesn’t stand a chance in the hold, hardly fighting out of it before he taps out!
WINNER: Marcus Uriah Dunne
As the match ends and “My Name Is MUD” begins to play, Dunne rolls out of the ring, approaching ring announcer, Crybaby and snatching the microphone from her as he walks back over and rolls back inside the ring.
Marcus Uriah Dunne: "Cut the fucking music off!"
Matt Mears: "Uh-oh."
Ben Petrie: "For a guy with a dominant win, he doesn’t seem happy."
Marcus paces inside the ring, seething through his teeth as the music turns off and we’re left with silence, barring the buzz from the crowd. Nobody’s sure what Marcus has on his mind, but it’s obvious we’re about to find out.
Marcus Uriah Dunne: "All I’ve heard about the whole goddamn week…is Aiden Fucking Garcia. How Aiden Garcia got one over on me. Aiden Garcia pushed me to my limit. Aiden Garcia this. Aiden Garcia that."
Marcus lowers the mic as he spots the ringside camera and storms over, leaning through the ropes. He gets his face as close as he can to the camera as he brings up the microphone again.
Marcus Uriah Dunne: "FUCK! AIDEN! GARCIA!"
He pushes back through the ropes and into the ring, glaring up the ramp towards the stage in a manner of addressing the man himself.
Marcus Uriah Dunne: "You put up a helluva fight kid…but if you think I’m gonna let things slide after last week then you got a worse case of CTE than motherfuckers that been in a boxing ring for as long as I was. Now I haven’t been doing this as long as when I had to put gloves on but in all my years I have never, and I mean I have Fucking…NEVER…had a fight go to time limit. That shit don’t sit right with me. So here’s the deal, Aiden."
He leans against the ropes, pointing at the stage.
Marcus Uriah Dunne: "You…"
He then thumbs to himself.
Marcus Uriah Dunne: "Me…"
He steps back from the ropes and points to the mat.
Marcus Uriah Dunne: "In this fucking ring again. No time limit. Fuck it, you can’t feel pain? I call bullshit. Maybe you just haven’t found your threshold yet so let me find it for ya. Along with the clock, why don’t we throw the rule book out the window and have us a little street fight!! Make your decision fast, Aiden. Cuz patience ain’t one of my strong suits. NOW! You can play my fucking music!"
Marcus throws the microphone over the ropes, back to Crybaby as he rolls out of the ring and goes storming up the ramp, towards the back.
Backstage in the Zion Stadium, Zara was seen walking around. It looked like she was looking for someone, and she made an ‘aha’ face for a moment before walking up to Yennefer Filth. After having been somewhat called out the week before, most would think that Zara was pissed, right? Well..no, no really. She stood behind Yenn for a minute before tapping her shoulder and sliding her hands into her back pockets. Yenn didn’t seem surprised when she saw Zara standing there once she turned around, and Zara gave a little shrug before she spoke.
Zara Ivory: I’m not here for a fight, but I wanted to talk about what you said last week to MUD.
Zara paused for a second, looking at Yenn carefully before continuing.
Zara Ivory: Look…I get the frustration, I do. If the roles were reversed, I’d probably feel the same way. Things are…a little crazy right now.
Yenn stands in front of Zara as she speaks, holding the can of pop she just got from a vending machine. Her eyes never leave the Queen of Chaos as her lip quivers as if she’s debating whether or not to sneer but she decides against it. Still. Yenn herself doesn’t look happy.
Yennefer Filth: Crazy huh? You might say that. All things considered? I’d say they’re all out fucked. But what do I know? I’m just the girlfriend of the one being shunned for no good reason.
Yenn cracks the can open and takes a long drink from it. Zara slid one of her hands out of her pocket and rubbed the back of her neck as she listened to Yenn before sighing.
Zara Ivory: Nah…you’re right. Things are all sorts of fucked up, and I haven’t been around to help deal with it all. I don’t know what’s going on with Jessi, but Jordan isn’t being shunned by all of us. If I knew what the fuck was going on, I’d be dealing with it somehow.
Zara stepped around Yenn for a second, pulling her wallet out to grab a drink of her own. It had been a long night, and normally Zara wasn’t at the shows if she didn’t have to be considering what was going on at home. However…things needed to be discussed.
Zara Ivory: Like I said, I haven’t been around at the shows lately…or in general really, unless I’ve been needed. I’ve been at home with my grandfather, but I promise things are going to get figured out one way or another. We still care about Jordan…
Zara leaned down and grabbed her own drink from the machine, fiddling with it in her hands as she turned and looked back at Yenn again. Yenn’s let Zara get to the machine, side stepping and never taking her eyes off of her. Not at first, at least. It’s not until Zara mentions her grandfather that Yenn’s body language changes. Some of the tension in her posture fades and she looks down at the drink in her hand. Most likely to hide her face as she realizes she hadn’t stopped to consider that on Zara’s part.
Yennefer Filth: ...How’s he doin’? Your grandpa…
Zara fiddles with her can before opening it, taking a sip from her own drink before letting out a sigh. She licked her lips and looked at the can in her hand before back at Yenn, shrugging a little again.
Zara Ivory: He got to see 3 of his granddaughters get married and see most of the others find someone they’re happy with, so there’s that at least. He’s going downhill and fast…it’s really just a matter of time at this point.
Zara paused for a minute before she continued, putting a hand on Yenn’s shoulder.
Zara Ivory: Look…I didn’t come to make it awkward with that. I just…things will get figured out somehow. Jordan is part of my second family, and Jessi literally is family to me now. Family fights, family hates each other off and on, but it eventually comes back together. It’s not fair that Jordan’s getting the brunt of it all, and I wish it wasn’t that way, but it is right now. Things will get better somehow though, that I can promise.
Yennefer Filth: Yeah…here’s hoping…
Yenn downs the rest of her soda and crushes the can in her hand before tossing it in a bin nearby.
Yennefer Filth: But…thanks though. Really, Z… I’m glad that–
Yenn suddenly stops, putting a hand to her stomach with a face and holds up a finger to Zara, bidding for a pause. She turns her head away from Zara to be as polite as she can while letting a tremendous BEEEEEEELLLLLLCH rip from deep within her gut thanks to how fast she chugged that can down. It sounds like she’s either expelling a demon or doing her best “BLEGH” impersonation. The belch passes. Yenn blinks. Rubs her stomach. And turns back to Zara like nothing happened.
Yennefer Filth: I’m just glad I’m not the only one that sees this side of things. I like Jessi. I do. She’s one of – shit – she’s Jordie’s best friend ever. She should know she didn’t mean to leave her hanging. Those Jim Jones bitches ain’t helpin’ anything either. But again. Thanks and…well I can’t say sorry for being in a bitchy mood… But I still like you guys. Jordie does too. I don’t wanna see that go South…
Zara Ivory: Yeah…it seems Nadia and Jessi are dealing with them in their own time and way. Something else I should be helping with but yeah. And trust me, I’ve dealt with worse attitudes so no worries. I’ll catch you later though…I just wanted to clear some stuff up is all. Thanks, Yenn…I mean it.
With that, Zara gave Yennefer a little nod before she began walking down the hall. She knew MUD’s match was done, so she wanted to catch up with her husband. The feed cut out as she turned the corner and disappeared from view.
MATCH FIVE Las Olvidadas vs Reaper Crisis
Kennedy and Essie started things off for their respective teams, neither one of them moving at first, just watching one another. Finally they locked up, and Kennedy overpowered Essie, catching her with a clothesline that dropped her. He picked her up and went for a powerlam, but she threw several knees to his body that made him drop her. She managed to get behind him and threw several kicks to the back of his knees, taking him down to one before coming around and nailing him with a roundhouse kick square to his jaw. She went for another kick, but Kennedy grabbed her leg before Essie could connect and shoved her back. He got back to his feet and hit her with a standing dropkick that sent her flying back from the power behind it. He looked back and tagged in Jesse who charged and punched Gabi off of the side of the ring before Essie could tag her in. He pulled Essie back towards the center of the ring, but before he could do anything, she threw several kicks his way, managing to land a couple hard ones that caused Jesse to release her.
Essie looked between Jesse and her corner of the ring, letting out a relieved sigh when she saw Gabi get back onto the apron. She ran over and tagged her in, letting Gabi loose on Jesse who got nailed with a leaping running forearm smash. Gabi didn’t stop there and proceeded to hit Jesse with a spinning back elbow straight to the chest, causing the man to have the breath hit out of him for a few seconds. Jesse stumbled back towards his corner where Kennedy tagged himself in. The pair had words for a few seconds, but that was ended when Gabi came running at them, hitting Kennedy with a running dropkick. Before he exited the ring, Jesse nailed Gabi with a superkick out of nowhere, giving Kennedy a chance to get back to his own feet. Gabi had gotten back to herself as well, and Kennedy went to grab her, but she was able to slide away before he could. She nailed him with a running knee strike then a superkick, taking him down to a knee. She threw herself against the ropes before nailing him with Ira de Dios then backed up into a corner. Gabi waited for Kennedy to start getting back up before nailing him with a vicious El Martillo before pinning him near her corner of the ring.

The scene opens and pans over an empty field. Shadows of darkness begin to rise as the field begins to sink and die.
Wasteland
(Noun)
An empty, bleak, unattractive, unused, neglected area.
We hear the echoes of a riled up audience, cheering and shouting for blood and violence. The shadows of excited, feral, bloodthirsty fans begin to resemble a roof, a dome. The sunken land trapped underneath it. The noise and dark shadow fully consumes the screen.
The ignored, the underutilized, the underappreciated, the forgotten.
We have a home now. Here we are encouraged to forget our humanity at the doors. The powers that be have taken their most violent, most chaotic, most frustrated talents and thrown them all into the Thunderdome. To survive in a Wasteland? You need to be unconventional. You need to thrive in chaos.
Out from pitch black, we find the woman attached to the voiceover, Morgana Summers, sat crosslegged in the middle of the ring. She held a microphone.
Morgana Summers: WASTELAND is for the forgotten, the misfits, the broken toys, those that never played well with others. It’s us that breathe life into this place.
For months, I have been resigned to irrelevance. I was there, but I wasn’t. I was comfortable being in the background, but nothing lasts forever.
Even before the official announcement, I was handpicked to breathe life into this brand, and in a way, it breathed new life into me.
It’s been awhile, I’m awake again. I’m gonna be a problem again.
A banshee scream cues flickering lights in the arena. An overhead shot sees Morgana laid on the canvas.
Winter’s just about over. WASTELAND, let’s all get ready for a really cruel summer.
The camera zooms out, a flaming pentagram visible underneath her. The crazed shadows surround the pentagram. The crazed crowd noises return as the scene fades, ending.
MAIN EVENT Melody Slayton vs Morgana Summers
Morgana and Melody circled each other before locking up to see who could get some early momentum in the match. Summers was able to get Slayton in a side headlock, wrenching it in pretty well for a few moments. Melody was able to get Morgana off of her and threw her into the ropes before nailing her with a vicious DDT that spiked Morgana to the mat. Summers held her head for a moment, but when Melody came at her again, she sent a kick at Melody’s lower leg, taking her down briefly. Summers got back to her feet as Slayton did, and the two immediately began exchanging lefts and rights before Melody got Morgana with a powerful German suplex. Melody had a grin on her face as she got back to her feet, leaning over to pick Morgana up once she was. She lifted Summers up, hitting a beautiful brainbuster on her before leaping back to her feet again. Melody psyched herself up once she was up, ignoring the crowds boos and jeers at her as she did so.
What Melody didn’t notice was Morgana getting back to her feet as well. Summers had a glare on her face as she ran at Slayton only to grab her wrist and throw her into the corner. She followed after the woman, nailing her with a hard clothesline then moving into a bulldog, slamming Melody to the mat. Melody rolled on the ring mat for a few seconds before she began pulling herself up using the ropes, a look of determination on her face as she stared down her opponent. She pushed off of the ropes and ran towards Morgana, looking for a leaping knee that connected clean with Morgana’s jaw! Summers gripped her jaw briefly before grabbing Melody and hitting a Russian legsweep, sending the other woman down yet again. She grabbed her and pulled her up, sending her into the corner again, front first this time before nailing her with a dropkick to the back. From there, she nailed HexPlex and bridged into a pin.
