After the first chorus of “Unbreakable” by Of Mice & Men finishes, we cut to the inside of Zion Wrestling Stadium, where streaks of blue and white pyro goes off over a stage lined with fire! The pyro settles, with the lights coming up to reveal a sold out crowd!
Amber Westgate: Last week saw a huge return to form for the blue brand! Now it’s gonna get even bigger heading into the hottest party of this summer, SLAYcation! Welcome everyone, to Friday Night Fusion! I’m Amber Westgate, joined by Adam LaRue!
Adam LaRue: If you thought last week had you on the edge of your seat, you ain’t seen nothing yet! We got more first round matches in the Tag Team Championship tournament, as the always impressive Las Olvidadas goes up against former Trios Champions, The House of Wolves! We also have the highly decorated Code Black, taking on some Zion debutantes in The Weekend Warriors!
Amber Westgate: Plus, we have a Triple Threat #1 Contenders Match for the Viral Championship, where either IKEDA, Morgana Summers, or Tajnia Mustafi will take on the winner of tonight’s main event for the title at SLAYcation! Speaking of the main event, after winning a match to contend for the title last week, Jessi Ozborne will go one-on-one with Gianna Rojas tonight for the Viral Championship!
Adam LaRue: Make sure to fix yourself in front of that TV Clockwork Orange Style! If you blink, you’ll definitely miss something! We kick things off with our World Heavywe—
The opening to “Warrior” by Stitched Up Heart plays and the crowd roars as Jordan Majors marches out confidently from the back with the World Heavyweight Championship on her shoulder.
Adam LaRue: Looks like the World Heavyweight Champion isn’t interested in being patient tonight.
Amber Westgate: Jordan Majors is ready for a fight and tonight, she’s back in action for the first time since Destiny as she takes on Cherry Blackman. And Jordan is VERY familiar with the Blackman name.
Jordan high fives crowd members on both sides as she makes her way down. She grabs a microphone from the outside and hands her title to Darrion Hughes as she slides under the bottom rope. She walks around the ring and smiles before she walks over and sits on the top turnbuckle.
Jordan Majors: What’s up Orlando!?
There’s a cheap pop from the crowd in attendance and Jordan grins and shimmies her shoulders before she leans back forward and into the microphone.
Jordan Majors: So now we know, huh? Now we know who’s coming for the champ first. Reina Mendoza.
There’s a mixed reaction from the way Jordan says the name. A few in the crowd are behind Mendoza. Jordan points out that direction behind her.
Jordan Majors: Ah snap! I see her parents made it tonight!!
There’s a large amount of laughter from the crowd and Jordan laughs too before easing the laughter down with her hand.
Jordan Majors: I kid. Just messing with ya, Reina. Truth is, you look at Reina and you look at me and… well… it doesn’t look very even does it? She’s what? 6-6? 6-7? She’s huge. A real giant among the women on this roster. But the thing is, I’ve faced people like Reina before. I’ve fought monsters and demons. I’ve faced down witches and multi-time world champions. I’ve taken on giants. And I’ve beaten them all. I’ve gone through it all. So seeing Reina win that match last week, it didn’t strike fear in my heart. It didn’t make me scared of the future ahead. Seeing Mendoza win that match got me focused on what’s next. You see, from the moment I won this title, I’ve been focused on who was coming for it first. Y’all will remember who stubborn I was about getting this title back? You ain’t seen nothing yet. Reina? She’s about to find out…
Jordan grins and begins to confidently nod. The crowd builds behind her and slowly but surely gets loud.
Jordan Majors: And she can take that to the bank because Jordan Majors!
Crowd: IS MONEY!
Rage
Rage
Against the dying of the light
Amber Westgate: And it sounds like Cherry Blackman has heard enough!
The lights begin to flicker, and fade out. Abyss in Your Eyes begins playing, as the arena descends into darkness. A trail of fire starts at the top of the stage, and creeps down the ramp, a pair of eyes light up, at the top of the ramp, followed by a small circle. The circle points toward the arena lights, which shoot back to full illumination, a plume of steam erupts around the figure on the ramp, and snuffs out the flames. Once the steam subsides, Cherry Glitch Blackman can be seen, pointing her palm skyward.
Adam LaRue: As you said earlier, Jordan has gone to war time and time again with Mai Blackman. Now she stares down another!
The mystery woman now makes her voyage toward the ring, doing some shadow boxing, as she closes the gap towards the ring.
Jordan Majors: I guess someone is tired of listening to me?
Jordan shrugs and tosses the microphone over the ropes and to Darrion on the outside.
Backstage, the camera finds the members of Las Olvidadas, Gabriela “Taza” Carbajal, Essie “Sangre” Carbajal and Carmen Lucia “Turbo” Leija, standing in a hallway waiting for their tag team match to begin.
Gabriela “Taza” Carbajal: Lucharemos contra la Casa de los Lobos. Tienen un parche, ¿sí?
Sangre shrugs.
Essentia “Sangre” Carbajal: ¿Otro?
Taza nods solemnly, annoyance visibly filtering into her gaze.
Gabriela “Taza” Carbajal: Yes, another group…
Sangre shakes her head.
Essentia “Sangre” Carbajal: We might have to watch our backs again?
Taza nods knowingly.
Gabriela “Taza” Carbajal: House of Wolves will fight for the opportunity here as we will as well.
Sangre nods her agreement.
Essentia “Sangre” Carbajal: House of Wolves wish to make an impression as do we.
Taza shrugs.
Gabriela “Taza” Carbajal: Both House of Wolves and we are in danger…
Sangre frowns in confusion.
Essentia “Sangre” Carbajal: Danger?
Taza nods pointedly.
Gabriela “Taza” Carbajal: It is a new day, we have to establish things. We come to Fusion and we need to remind people that Las Olvidadas are a force.
Sangre nods her agreement.
Essentia “Sangre” Carbajal: Es la verdad.
All three look into the camera.
Gabriela “Taza” Carbajal: We must remind you.
Essentia “Sangre” Carbajal: Antes de que te olvides de recordar.
MATCH #1: CHERRY BLACKMAN VS JORDAN MAJORS
NON-TITLE MATCH
We see Jordan and Cherry tie up, as Majors gets an opening edge with an arm wrench. Though Cherry would roll through and kip-up to reverse the hold on the champion and followed up with a hip toss. Cherry would follow up with a pair of stomps on Jordan's leg to try and wear her down, and applied a kneebar onto her to limit her speed. She wrenched the hold onto the champion, but, Majors would use her free leg to kick at Cherry and hits her in the face to free herself.
Jordan would get up a bit slower, as Cherry capitalized with a European uppercut to set them up in the corner. Cherry would deliver some corner blows to the belly and gets Jordan up to the top rope. Cherry attempts a superplex, but, Jordan retaliated with a headbutt that caused her opponent to fall into a tree of woe position. As Cherry tries to get up, Jordan leapt off to hit her with a double foot stomp, and goes for a pin attempt afterward.
ONE...!
TWO...!
Cherry extended her leg to touch the bottom rope, to force a break, as Jordan would stop the pin. She gets Cherry up to her feet and clutched her with a headlock, heading back to the corner to look for a Tornado ddt. Jordan climbs to Bret's Rope, but, Cherry would kick Jordan's thigh to stop her, and then lifted her up for a brainbuster, as Cherry pinned the champion.
ONE...!
TWO...!
No, Jordan kicked out! Cherry looked annoyed, as she lifted Jordan's leg again to kick at it, wanting to wear her down further and applied a Single Leg Boston Crab to continue to work the left leg, as Jordan was in pain, and continued to fight on. She would turn the move over and shoved Cherry away with both legs. Jordan gets up, feeling tension in her leg, as Cherry charged at her. Jordan hopped up on the second rope, before retaliating with a springboard clothesline. Jordan would catch Cherry as she gets up to clip her with a European uppercut to stun her, and then a superkick with the better leg to stagger her opponent, as Cherry slumped into the corner. With a slight hobble, Jordan would run to the rope, before hitting Cherry with the Donk Bonk. Cherry falls back, as Jordan would climb the top rope, as she leapt back to hit her with the Money Drop, as she pinned Cherry.
ONE...!
TWO...!
THREE!!
Darrion Hughes: The winner of this match...Jordan! Majors!
Amber Westgate: The World Heavyweight Champion backs up her words and sets the tone for her reign as she gets her first win tonight!
Adam LaRue: Jordan Majors is always saying that she's money, and her bank statement's shaping up to looking pretty damn good right now!
The ending bell sounded, as Jordan has her hand raised. Just then, she's blindsided with a big forearm club to the back of her head by Reina Mendoza, with the crowd booing her loudly. With Jordan in the lower corner, Reina stomped at her repeatedly, as she taunted at Jordan with the mud hole stomping. She would pull Jordan up by the hair, and pulled her up in a fireman's carry position to walk her to the center of the ring to lay her out with the Crash and Burn, before getting up to pose and bask in the crowd's boos.
Amber Westgate: A huge statement made by the challenger at the expense of Jordan Majors!
Adam LaRue: Heavy is the head that wears the crown, Amber! And honestly, I don't think it gets heavier than a monster like Reina Mendoza!
RESULT: PINFALL (MONEY DROP)
We find Alexis Lemon sitting backstage on a road case. She sits off to the side with enough room next to her for the Internet championship belt she once held. She’s looking down at the floor as she lazily kicks her legs back and forth, quiet thuds as her boot heels kick the case.
Alexis Lemon: This is the first time you’ve seen me since I lost the Internet title, huh, Zion fans?
Lexi looks up at the camera, a small smirk on her face.
Alexis Lemon: Y’know, I’ve been playing that match back in my head, the ladder match at Destiny Two. I could’ve won, I’m sure I could’ve. I just… I guess I was overwhelmed by the amount of people. A lot of them were scary good, especially Dinah. But I dropped the ball and it cost me.
She looks down again, but her smile becomes wider.
Alexis Lemon: I can’t change the past. But… Maybe I don’t have to. If there’s one thing I’ve noticed since I became a wrestler, it’s that I always tend to get even more dangerous when I feel I got something to prove. And what time is more apt moment than right after losing a championship? A championship that you spent so much time and energy working to grab…
She sighs, hopping off the box and walks up to the camera.
Alexis Lemon: Which brings me to Elijah Copeland, my opponent tonight. I won’t talk about how I’m gonna stomp him a new one or anything like that, because, frankly I don’t have any issue with him. We’ve talked on twitter a couple times, he’s all right. Also because I know better than to talk mad shit in the event I lose. But Eli, I’m going to tell you, I got a lot to fight for now that I don’t got a title around my waist. I’m ready to get back to the climb and I’m looking to start with you. So I hope you bring your A game because I definitely will. And I’m not looking to lose two matches in a row.
Lexi flashes a smile again and winks as she turns and walks away. She calls over her shoulder
Alexis Lemon: See ya out there!
MATCH #2: ELIJAH COPELAND VS ALEXIS LEMON
Copeland starts this match off by reaching out for Lemon, looking to initiate a Test of Strength! Somewhat foolishly, Lemon goes for it, with Copeland immediately using this to his advantage as he nails her with a Boot to the midsection! He follows up, throwing Lemon into the ropes before hunching over to anticipate her return! She doesn’t go for it however, nailing Copeland with a Kick to get him standing up straight again before following up with a Roundhouse! Copeland falters to a knee, with Lemon hitting the ropes and hitting a Basement Dropkick before pinning for the two count!
Lemon gets Copeland to his feet, going to the corner and looking for a Tornado DDT! But Copeland reverses, pushing Lemon off and sending her face first to the mat instead! She gets back up to her knees, with Copeland rushing in and dropping her with a Knee Strike! He stands above a heaped up Lemon, taunting the crowd before pulling her back to her feet and throwing her into the corner! He follows up, laying into Lemon with a plethora of Stomps that crumble her further against the turnbuckles! He hits the adjacent corner, before catching her with a Facewash! Pin by Copeland for a count of two!
Copeland looks for the end here, getting Lemon to her feet and looking for the Shin Breaker to kick off his signature combo! But Lemon reverses mid-lift, dropping Copeland instead with a Bulldog! He follows up, jumping right across his back with a Moonsault before pinning for another two count! She pulls Copeland to his feet, looking to take him down with Deadlights! But Copeland reverses, showing his ring IQ by leaning forward to increase the pressure on Lemon as she tries going for the Northern Lights Suplex! He’s finally able to clobber Lemon with a few strikes to the back to send her off! Lemon staggers around, with Copeland looking to rush in after her! She sidesteps him and sends him into the corner, before rushing in and nailing him with the Sourball (Corner Cannonball)! She goes for the pin, with Copeland just getting a shoulder up before three!
Lemon sits up for a bit, wondering what route she should take to put Copeland away from this point! This leaves an opening for Copeland, who attempts to crawl out of the ring! Lemon doesn’t let him get far however, attempting to drag him back in by the leg! Copeland initially refuses to let go of the apron, but Lemon eventually pries him free! This unleashes a trap on her however, with Copeland immediately nailing her with a shot from a pair of brass knuckles! Lemon’s back blocks the view of the official, who’s unaware of what happened! Copeland quickly throws out the brass knuckles before coming in and nailing Lemon with the Money Maker (Bitter End)! He goes for the pin and gets the three count!
Darrion Hughes: The winner of this match…Elijah! Copeland!
Amber Westgate: What a cheap shot! Elijah Copeland escapes this match by the skin of his teeth!
Adam LaRue: Those brass knuckles did more to win him the match than he ever could! I don’t think that’s something to gloat about, especially when it comes to incurring the wrath of someone like Alexis Lemon!
Copeland celebrates outside the ring as we fade!
RESULT: PINFALL (MONEY MAKER)
MATCH #3: THE WEEKEND WARRIORS VS CODE BLACK
TAG TEAM TITLE TOURAMENT FIRST ROUND MATCH
Jake Callihan starts the match off against Olivia Nightshade, with the two talking trash to one another’s face as the bell rings! The verbal blows eventually become physical ones, with the two proceeding to trade hard rights! Callihan gets the first major shot in, nailing Olivia with a Boot to the midsection! He attempts to throw her into the corner, only for Olivia to counter by throwing him into the corner instead! She stomps a mudhole in him while he’s in the corner, before going for the tag to Ravyn! Olivia backs her sister into the corner, before launching her into Callihan with an assisted Cannonball Senton! Ravyn rolls Callihan out of the corner, hooking the leg for a two count!
Ravyn pulls Callihan to his feet, looking for a Fallaway Slam! But Callihan counters with a set of Elbows to the side of the head until she lets him down! He follows up, doubling her over with a Knee to the midsection before throwing her into his corner! He tags in Lochlan Rivers, before crushing Ravyn with a Corner Body Splash! Callihan drops Ravyn to the mat, before picking Rivers up and dropping him on top of her with a Bodyslam! Rivers with the pin, only getting the two! This doesn’t deter him however, as he gets Ravyn to her feet and hits a Blue Thunder Bomb! He pins again, this time with the count being disrupted by Olivia Nightshade coming to break it up!
Olivia’s interference prompts Callihan to re-enter the ring to fight her off! Olivia ducks a Big Boot attempt from Callihan. Immediately smashing him to the mat with a Discus Lariat! Someone who doesn’t get the Big Boot, however, is Rivers, who nails Olivia with a Big Boot that sends her tumbling over the top rope and to the floor! Rivers turns to re-focus on the match, only to take a Spear from Ravyn Nightshade for this trouble! She gets Rivers up, throwing him to the mat with the Khaos Buster (Wheelbarrow Facebuster)! She goes for the pin, with Rivers kicking out right before three! Ravyn waits for Rivers to get up, looking for Fade To Black! But Rivers reverses, pushing her off before getting her in position for the Raging Phoenix! But Ravyn ducks the Ripcord Lariat, causing Rivers to run right into Olivia, who hits him with Taste That Leather B*tch (Brogue Kick)!
Rivers and Ravyn are both down, with Rivers managing to crawl to his corner and tag in Callihan! Ravyn tags in Olivia, who’s very clearly not fooling around here! Callihan rushes after her, with Olivia managing to catch him and drop him on the ropes with Snake Eyes! She then hoists him up into position, before dropping him with Dark Silence (Joker Driver)! Olivia gets the pin, scoring the victory for her team!
Darrion Hughes: The winners of this match…Code! Black!
Amber Westgate: Olivia Nightshade gets the impressive final fall, spoiling The Weekend Warriors’ debut, and taking Code Black to the quarterfinals of this tournament!
Adam LaRue: The latest impressive performance in a long line of impressive performances for Olivia Nightshade! She’s been on fire with them since the beginning of this year!
Code Black celebrates their victory as we fade!
RESULT: PINFALL (DARK SILENCE)
We cut backstage following the last match, where we quickly see that we’ve been taken inside the office of Kai Morgan. He pan over to the desk of the man himself, who seems to be on the phone with someone.
Kai Morgan: Yeah, catch him before he leaves the building and let him know that he’ll be the one taking on Ayu Megumi next week, alright?
The person on the other line presumably answers.
Kai Morgan: Alright, cool. I’m about to get ready to go here. I’ll likely be gone for a month or so, maybe two? You’ll be charge while I’m go–
Just then, a light knock comes to Morgan’s door, just loud enough for him to hear over his phone call.
Kai Morgan: Hey, Nova? I'll call you back...Yeah someone's at the door.
He approaches the door, opening it to see Melody Slayton.
Melody Slayton: Hello, sir, I was - um, oh, if you're busy, I can come back later.
She shifts awkwardly on her heel, looking a tad embarrassed and more than a little intimidated to be talking to the boss.
Kai Morgan: No need to be sorry. I got a little bit of time. What’s going on?
Melody Slayton: Well, I'm just... I mean, you know...
She pauses, taking a deep breath. Her thoughts are clearly scattered.
Melody Slayton: Sorry, it's just been a really bad couple of weeks for me.
A beat.
Melody Slayton: You - well, Zion Wrestling, I suppose, but also you in particular - were the first to give me a shot in the business last year. And like, I will always be grateful for that, you know? But I also feel like I embarrassed myself when I was here last year. My record was atrocious, something like 2 wins and 8 losses, right? And I thought "maybe Zion was a little too much for me to handle right off the bat", so I decided to step away and get some experience elsewhere. I struggled, but I found my groove, yeah? I won Tag Titles, I won two World Titles, and finally felt like Zion was someplace I was worthy of competing in again.
She pauses, closing her eyes.
Melody Slayton: So, I bet on blue, like I'm always saying, and I took the dive. And...
She sighs deeply before looking up at Kai.
Melody Slayton: What am I doing wrong? Why can't I seem to crack the Zion code? Am I just not good enough? Because I hate to think that I'm wasting your time and energy giving me opportunities that I'm not capable of taking advantage of…
Kai looks on at Melody, a rare expression of remorse crossing his face as he attempts to console her.
Kai Morgan: Listen…losing definitely sucks, especially when you lose a great amount. When I was your age, I was still roughing it on the indies. Showing up every weekend just to get put on my ass. It was a tough break, but there was one thing that kept me going, and I can tell it’s what’s keeping you going too.
Melody looks up at Kai, unsure of what he means by that.
Kai Morgan: That’s that despite everything, you still have a passion for what you do. And that passion has taken you places that people with your age and miles in this business could only DREAM of. That passion shows every time you hit that ring. It’s not only why I hired you last year, but it’s why when your number hit my phone, I welcomed you back with open arms.
Kai directs Melody’s gaze towards the wall of his office, lined with framed photos of still images from the triumphs of some of Zion’s biggest competitors.
Kai Morgan: Take a look at these folks. Razzles Mars, Jordan Majors. Hell people may not like him nowadays, but even take a look at Zachary Porter. They reached the top, not because they were worried about being good enough. Not because they went from strength to strength, either. But because when they fell, and trust me when I say that they fell HARD, they got back up. They brought that same fire back, if not an even bigger one. That’s what having what it takes to be here looks like, and it’s the same thing I want you to bring when you come in next week.
Kai pulls up his phone, scrolling through his contacts list until he reaches the name “NOVA JUAQUIN”. He takes a moment to type out a text before turning his attention back to Melody.
Kai Morgan: Now I’ve just sent a text to Nova, telling her to book you a rematch against Nadia Allen next week. Take what I told you into that match, and see how it works for you. You think you can do that?
Melody quietly nods.
Melody Slayton: How's that old saying go? "Fall down seven times, stand up eight"? Yeah. I got this. Sometimes I just need to remember to get out of my own head.
She chuckles to herself.
Melody Slayton: I want to be one of the best to ever step into a Zion ring, and that starts now. No more doubting myself. I GOT THIS.
She glances over to Kai.
Melody Slayton: Thank you, sir. Not just for telling me what I needed to hear, but for reminding me just who the heck I am.
Kai Morgan: Always. I’m sure you’re gonna do great. I’ll be rooting for you from home.
Kai opens his phone again, this time to look at the time.
Kai Morgan: Ah shit. Speaking of home, I gotta plane to catch. Listen, good luck next week, and thank you for stopping by.
Melody nods and exits the office as Kai gathers his belongings. We cut back to the ring with Kai shutting the lights off and leaving himself.
MATCH #4: VLADISLAV VS JESSICA ANDERSON
Anderson looks across the ring at Vladislav, her usual cocky demeanor completely dissipating in the face of the tall man! She doesn’t back down however, deciding to approach and immediately get violent with him to try and get the upper hand! She nails repeatedly across the chest and head with Forearm Strikes, none of them looking like they even phase the man! He eventually gets sick of these weak strikes by Anderson, lifting her up and pushing her into the corner with a set of rapid fire Shoulder Thrusts! These nearly cut her in half, with Vladislav following up by throwing her out of the corner with a Biel! He tells Anderson to get up, nailing her with a Big Boot once she obliges! He pulls her to her feet, throwing her to the ropes before dropping her with Kowalski’s KO (Rolling Elbow)! He stands over Anderson, waiting for her to get up again before dropping her with The Iron Curtain (Burning Hammer)! He stands over Anderson, simply putting a foot on her chest to get the three count here!
Darrion Hughes: The winner of this match…Vladislav!
Amber Westgate: What a debut for the Final Boss!
Adam LaRue: Vladislav is genuinely terrifying, Amber! And because he’s a free agent, there’s absolutely no one in the entirety of Zion who’s safe from him!
Vladislav stands tall over Jessica Anderson as we fade!
RESULT: PINFALL (IRON CURTAIN)
We open to a long, straight-on corridor, with a red carpet leading up to a giant set of double-doors. On the walls are glimpses of the past year and a half of Zion’s existence--each one, seemingly, a crowning moment; QUEEN Sakamoto’s unbeaten rise to the Zion Championship, Morgana Summers’ record reign as the Viral Champion, the Deathriders’ unification of 3 different titles to form the Undisputed Tag Team Championships--and then, on the door, Zara Ivory as the National Champion. Unlike the rest, though? That picture isn’t of the night she won the title; rather, it’s of her first defense--or, more accurately, the aftermath thereof, where she was attacked by the debuting Kaitlin Williams.
Kaitlin Williams (VO): “For a week now, I’ve been asked one question more than any other: who, exactly, is Kate Williams? It’s mostly been asked by...heh, idiots, in my opinion, but I keep hearing it. Who is Kate Williams? Where did she come from? And why did she lay out Zara Ivory last week?”
The door is pushed open, and we reveal an...ostentatious throne room, admittedly fitting of someone who would call herself the Crown Jewel. But there’s no actual sign of Kate herself...just a voice, with a...somewhat practiced Mancunian accent, so we venture further in, in search of the recent debutant.
Kaitlin Williams (VO): “Hear it from me: I am the best wrestler Europe’s seen in the past few years. Every single place I’ve gone, I’ve walked in...and taken it over. In Britain or on the continent, I have been better than every single person I’ve faced. And...plainly? It got boring.”
There’s a little chuckle off camera, but we spin around to find...nobody, in the entire room.
Kaitlin Williams (VO): “Believe it or not, even success gets boring--so when I got an offer from Zion to come wrestle in the States, I thought about it...and realised I was really damned tired of being the big fish, in these small ponds. So I signed a contract, hopped a plane, and made myself known--that’s where you come in, Zara. Or...to be more honest, that’s where that title you were so proudly holding over your head came in.”
There’s a lingering moment of silence, as that same photo that was on the door to this room, is also at the foot of the throne itself--Kate Williams, stood over Zara Ivory, with the National Championship held over her head.
Kaitlin Williams (VO): “See...I’m not one to make a quiet, happy little debut in some throwaway nothing match so everybody can feel comfortable--every single place I go, I make an immediate impact. You...plainly, Zara, you were just unlucky enough to be the one holding that belt when I decided to make my way over here. You were just unlucky enough to win that match of yours, when I decided to make myself known--because, really, what better way to make that impact, than to take a title right away...and prove a point to every single ignorant cunt who’s been asking ‘eh, who is that?’”
Kate scoffs a little, her voice starting to sound a little closer to the camera, but she’s still nowhere to be seen.
Kaitlin Williams (VO): “But don’t you worry your little head about tonight; see, from now until I decide to take that belt from you? We do things on my time--and frankly, I’ve spent about enough time today, just talking about you.”
Finally, the so-called Crown Jewel appears in the frame, taking an...unorthodox, at best, seat on the ridiculously ornate throne. She pulls a silver tiara with brightly glimmering sapphires from off the backrest of the seat, casually wearing it on her temples before glancing at the camera.
Kaitlin Williams: “For now...you get to enjoy what time you have left with that belt. But soon, you...just like everyone else I’ve faced over the last few years, everyone else I’ve put down across so many countries?”
The camera abruptly drops, now looking up at the throne--and, indeed, the Crown Jewel, who adjusts her seat to stare directly downward at the camera.
Kaitlin Williams: “Soon enough...you will bow...”
Kate lifts a foot up and abruptly brings it down toward the camera, before we cut to black.
MATCH #5: IKEDA VS MORGANA SUMMERS VS TAJNIA MUSTAFI
VIRAL CHAMPIONSHIP #1 CONTENDERS TRIPLE THREAT
Summers is the first to get the action going in this match, rushing over and nailing Mustafi with a Shotgun Dropkick that sends her hurdling into the corner! She pulls her up, clobbering her with relentless strikes across the back before pulling her to the center of the ring and getting her up for a Samoan Drop! As she does, however, she notices IKEDA in the corner, all too content on sitting there and watching his opponents tear each other apart for his own gain! Before Summers can give it too much attention, Mustafi slips down from her shoulders, nailing her from behind with a Forearm to the back before throwing Summers shoulder first into the ringpost! Mustafi quickly follows up, getting Summers in position before throwing her to the mat with a Half-and-Half Suplex! Summers rolls to her knees, with Mustafi capping off the attack with a Penalty Kick! She goes for the pin, which only gets a two count before IKEDA breaks it up!
IKEDA wags his finger at Mustafi, who looks appalled by the low effort approach he seems to be taking to the match! She slowly approaches him, with IKEDA backing out of the ring under the bottom rope and telling her to focus on Summers! This request becomes very warranted, with Summers rushing up behind Mustafi and clobbering her with a Double Ax Handle! She pulls Mustafi to her feet, throwing her to the ropes before finally catching her with the Samoan Drop! She isn’t done however, with Summers hitting the ropes before nailing a Leg Drop! Pin by Summers, with IKEDA once again coming in to break things up!
Summers now starts to approach a condescending IKEDA, who once again tries to jump through the ropes to high-tail it out of the ring! But Summers catches him by the leg, leaving him stuck between the ropes as he struggles to escape her grasp! This leaves an opening for Mustafi, who rushes around the ring and nails him with a Dropkick! Summers manages to pull him into the ring now, dropping him with a German Suplex! She bridges for the pin, with Mustafi diving from the top rope and nailing an Elbow Drop to break it up! Mustafi doesn’t stop there, looking for a Curb Stomp to Summers! But she gets out of the way, leading Mustafi to run straight into a Clothesline by IKEDA! Summers rushes towards IKEDA now, nailing him with a Knee Strike! He falls to the mat, with Summers looking to follow up with the Lunar Crash!
But IKEDA gets the knees up, before twisting Summers up in a Crossface! It looks as though Summers could tap here, but Mustafi comes back, nailing IKEDA with a Curb Stomp! Mustafi looks ready to strike again, waiting for IKEDA to get back to his feet before hitting the Dragon’s Bite (Skull Kick)! Mustafi goes for the pin, but before the referee can hit the mat for three, Summers comes back, throwing Mustafi out of the ring before pinning IKEDA herself! The referee counts the three, with Summers stealing the win here!
Darrion Hughes: The winner of this match…Morgana! Summers!
Amber Westgate: Morgana Summers steals the win here, getting herself a date with the Viral Champion come SLAYcation!
Adam LaRue: It wasn’t that long ago that Morgana Summers was the Viral Champion herself! In fact she was the most decorated Viral Champion of all time! I’m sure she’s looking to get that title back to break even her own record!
Summers stands tall as we fade!
RESULT: PINFALL (DRAGON’S BITE)

Legion I don’t know you and quite frankly i don’t want to get to know you but last weeky i had to make an example of my prey to show the whole roster what I’m capable of and that the hunt has definitely began and there is no end insite till i become the The Apex predator and the alpha of this jungle. I have no mercy for the weak, only the strong will survive and I will leave anyone who stands in my way in a pool of their own blood. Legion if you want you know where you can find me but I promise you’ll end up the same way as last week because you shall be my first trophy Kill on my way to bigger and bigger game
There was a picture of Legion on a tree with the eyes crossed out then she took a bow and arrow and pulled back the arrow and then she let go of the arrow and the arrow landed right between the eyes of the picture
VixSin
This is a Message to any one on the ZION roster wheter you work Mondays or Fridays the hunt has begun and no one is safe and when you least expect it I will come out from anywhere strike my pray like a lion strikes a gazelle and to the champion your time will come and when it does hope your prepared for the killer to strike you down
Kassandra and Danae were backstage getting ready for their match, when a knock was heard at the door. Danae gets up from where she was stretching and pulls the door open looking at the cameraman. She rolled her eyes motioning for him to follow her, as she looked at Kassandra. She got up letting her black hair fall back, then looked at the cameraman who was getting ready to set up. Kass smiled softly, then whispered something to Danae, as she stepped out of the room.
”the Blue-Eyed Wolf” Kassandra: It has been a week since that animal tried to commit regicide on the beloved queen, especially after her match. We have not heard from her since, but when she is ready the Queen will make her move upon that animal, and when she does, that is the spectacle. Tonight though, we have a chance to gain some momentum to move forward in the tag team tournament. Las Olvidadas happens to be the first one standing in our way. See we were involved in that tag team ladder match at Destiny, and we did our best to represent the Queen and the other members of the Hive. Tonight, though, is the first step to redemption, and to get what should have been ours in the first place, the Undisputed Tag Team Championships.
Kassandra smirks as Danae re-enters the room, handing her jacket to her. Kassandra quickly pulled her jacket on while Danae turned back and looked at the cameraman who happened to be there still. She smirked.
”the Silver-Eyed Wolf” Danae: Tonight we take down Las Olvidadas, then after that we get a rematch against Thotline Miami, which will be the fun part. Tonight offers a chance of redemption, a chance to make ourselves worthy of the Queen once more so that she might return. Las Olvidadas you are impressive, to the extent, but we are just simply.
Kass stepped in front of her.
”the Blue-Eyed Wolf” Kassandra: Just that much better. Don’t worry girls, the house can show mercy, but where’s the fun in that. I do wish though that The Void was involved in this because I wanted another shot at them, to prove to that bitch that I have teeth.
She smirked then motioned for the cameraman to go ahead of them. Kassandra and Danae followed suit as the cameraman walked out backwards filming the two of them. They headed out to the hallway, walking down the hallway smirking.
MATCH #6: LAS OLVIDADAS VS THE HOUSE OF WOLVES
TAG TEAM TITLE TOURNAMENT FIRST ROUND MATCH
Gabi “Taza” Carbajal starts this match off against Kassandra, with the two immediately going for a lock up! Kassandra gets the upper hand with the Wristlock at the start, but Taza’s athleticism immediately comes into play, with the Shieldmaiden cartwheeling forward to cease the pressure in her arm! She quickly goes for a Wristlock of her own, immediately breaking it as she nails Kassandra with a Boot to the midsection! Kassandra is doubled over, with Taza hitting the ropes to go for another move! But Kassandra is having none of it, rushing over as Taza comes back and dropping her with a Back Elbow! Hits the ropes now, with Danae getting the blind tag as Kassandra comes back for an Elbow Drop! Danae hits the ropes to follow up, nailing Taza with a Knee Drop! Pin by Danae, with Taza kicking out at two!
Danae pulls Taza up to her feet, going for a Neckbreaker to take her right back down again! But Taza isn’t going for it, twisting out of position before pushing Danae towards the ropes, sending her out of the ring! Taza takes advantage of this, hitting the ropes before taking her down with a Suicide Dive! She throws Danae back into the ring, with the Hive member only rolling out of the other side of the ring to catch a breather! This only gives Taza more ideas, as she hits the ropes and nails her with another Suicide Dive! It’s by this point that Kassandra comes to confront Taza! But Essie “Sangre” Carbajal decides to interject, throwing herself over the ropes with a Slingshot Crossbody to take Kassandra down! Taza throws Danae back into the ring, rushing over and hitting a Shooting Star Press before going for a pin that only gets a two count!
Taza looks to finish this one off, tagging in Sangre before tagging Danae with Boom Boom (Axe Kick/Discus Forearm Combo)! Sangre rushes into the ring, before nailing Danae with a Dropkick that sends her hurdling into the corner! She rushes to the opposite corner, before connecting with a Body Splash! Danae staggers out of the corner, with Sangre hitting the ropes and looking for Cabacera! But Danae counters, snatching Sangre to the mat with a Big Boot! Danae quickly tags in Kassandra, getting Sangre in position for Titan’s End! Just as Kassandra begins to ascend up the ropes however, she spots VixSin at ringside! She climbs down, with the two beginning to argue! Just then, the official tells Danae she needs to get back to her corner, with the momentary distraction being enough for VixSin to strike, pulling Kassandra down from the apron before nailing her with a Shoulder Thrust against the apron! She throws Kassandra back in the ring as Sangre gets to her feet! She quickly takes advantage, tagging in Taza and getting Kassandra in position before the two hit F.T.R.! Pin by Taza scoring the win!
Darrion Hughes: The winner of this match…Las! Olvidadas!
Amber Westgate: Las Olvidadas move on in this tournament thanks to the actions of VixSin!
Adam LaRue: It seems like she’s not just coming after Legion, but the whole Hive as well! What mind games!
Sangre and Taza celebrate their victory, with VixSin backing up the ramp and looking at an angry Kassandra and Danae as we fade!
RESULT: PINFALL (F.T.R.)
Amber Westgate: Well, ladies and gents, we have been having an amazing show tonight, but it only gets better as we arrive at our Main Event! After scoring a win a #1 Contenders Match last week, Jessi Ozborne is set to challenge Gianna Rojas for the Zion Wrestling Viral Championship!
Adam LaRue: That's right, Winter! Don't you guys go anywhere, because we'll be getting to that right after we hear a word from the combatants in that match!
We cut backstage following the semi-main event, with Jessi Ozborne sitting on an equipment box as she applies tape to her wrist.
Jessi Ozborne: You know…I’ve done quite a bit in this business in such a short time. If you had told me a year ago that I’d go on to do even half of what I have between then and now, I’d call you insane. To those in the know about me, it was only a matter of time before I made my way here to Zion Wrestling. And to those that are really in the know, it was definitely only a matter of time before I vied to get some gold around my waist while here.
Jessi stops wrapping up her tape for a moment before directing her gaze to the camera.
Jessi Ozborne: But those people would also be asking themselves, “Does a title like this really matter to someone who’s done it all?” And the answer to that question is absolutely. Everytime I get to cement myself as a pillar in this business is a worthy opportunity. But it goes much deeper than that. The Viral Championship has started to gain a reputation for being the workhorse belt around here. All the people who hold onto it prove if nothing else that they’re built to last. One of those people, in fact the very first to have shown that, is Jordan Majors. My best friend. Look at her now. Absolutely flying.
Jessi starts wrapping her other hand as she continues.
Jessi Ozborne: That’s what I wanna be around here someday, and it starts tonight. Coincidentally, I get to prove that against someone I actually love and respect very much in Gianna Rojas. Now, it’s no secret that ever since she popped back on the scene, Gia’s stock has been as high as it’s ever been. She’s been going from strength to strength, and I absolutely adore seeing it. But now that momentum has made its way to me.
Jessi looks towards the camera again.
Jessi Ozborne: Now this is usually the part where I talk my shit. Tell Gia that the end of the line is here. But honestly I hope it isn’t the end of the line for her. I hope she goes on past me to thrive and make history as the Viral Champion. But as long as I got that fight in me, I’m gonna make sure that she doesn’t do so at my expense. That’s not a threat, that’s a promise. And when the Queen promises, she delivers. You’re. Fucking. Welcome.
Jessi hops off the equipment box, taking off down the corridor as we fade.
It's virtually impossible to hide the fact that Gianna Rojas is very excited at the moment, she's nearly bouncing in place and already in her full gear, chattering brightly to some of the techs as they pass each other, that mix of English and Spanish wrapped in happy bright tones as she moves. Her gear is glimmering, yellow and black and she has the Viral Championship snug around her waist. A momentary pause as she sees the camera zoom up and she grins, gesturing and speaking to it as she keeps moving.
Jessi Ozborne.
A very serious expression, a firm nod before she grins brilliantly and continutes.
Gianna Rojas: Altibajos, ella ha sido muy alentadora y me doy cuenta. Es importante. Ella hace mucho por muchos y, a veces, siento que no está recibiendo el respeto que se merece.
She claps her hands and shakes her hips, as if she simply can't stop moving, so filled with excitement about tonight's Main Event.
Gianna Rojas: Respect! She deserves this, very much.
She points to the ceiling before her hands smack together again and she bounces on her toes.
With this she takes off at speed, as it certainly wouldn't do to be late!
Amber Westgate: Both challengers fired up here! You can tell that this is gonna be one hell of a Main Event Match! But before we get to that, let’s talk about next week, because we have got a hell of a line up for next week folks! After coming up short last week in the #1 Contenders Fatal 5-Way, both Nao Saegusa and Blaze Darling are looking to steal the show and gain back some momentum! We’re kicking off next week with the two of them putting on what’s sure to be a banger!
Adam LaRue: That’s gonna be a big one! The promise of gaining some upwards momentum can drag a lot of many competitors including this one! After having her plea answered by Fusion GM Kai Morgan, we can now announce that it’s official! Melody Slayton looks to get her victory back over Nadia Allen as the two face off in a rematch of their absolute barn-burner last week!
Amber Westgate: That one is sure not to disappoint, and neither is this! We saw her attack Zara Ivory last week. We've heard from her earlier tonight. Now we finally get to see what the Crown Jewel of the Fusion brand is all about! Kaitlin Williams makes her debut next week in what is sure to be a bloodbath!
Adam LaRue: Speaking of bloodbaths, that’s definitely what we’re in store for in next week’s Main Event! Following an attack by The God of Destruction last week, Ayu Megumi wants a piece of the Hardcore Champion, ISIS! Kai Morgan said he’d find her an opponent to take on next week! If she wins this one, she’ll get a shot at ISIS’ Hardcore Championship at SLAYcation! Ayu Megumi! Elijah Copeland! Hardcore Rules! That’s all coming at you next week, on Friday Night Fusion!
Amber Westgate: That’s a hell of a line up, but now it’s time for our main event!
