Gimmick Description
The Crown Jewel of Pro Wrestling: Once upon a time, Kate Williams was called Jessica Black, and she was the antagonist of the reformed version of the War Enforcement faction in IYHWF’s training promotion, ThunderDome. Loud, brash, and uber-confident, Jessica was quick to get in the faces of more established names, including her trainers, for trying to limit her potential.
The ThunderDome folded, and if anything, Jessica became even more obsessed with proving herself. She left Australia for England, and put her nose to the grindstone for two years straight--and she’s only reinforced her personal belief that she’s The Next Big Technical Star in wrestling. She crafted a new persona for herself, one that reflects what she feels is more authentically who she is going into 2023...and the re-christened Kate Williams is concerned with being exactly what she says she is: the Crown Jewel of every promotion she comes to.
By any means necessary.
Character Biography
Kaitlin Williams was born Jessica Marie White in Port Wakefield, Australia, to an unmarried couple who split up shortly after she was born--and, bluntly, Jessica resents the way she had to grow up. Her mother was never especially well off, and they struggled for several years before she was able to find a decent job in Adelaide--but even so, they struggled just above the poverty line for most of her childhood.
Jessica was a mediocre student, at best--largely due to disinterest; in fact, Jessica’s generally a very intelligent person, but she has to care. If she doesn’t care, she’ll lose interest very quickly, and her interests were never academic. School only served to give her a vehicle to get her more artistic impulses out, eventually finding her way into theater--and, in a roundabout way, leading to her wrestling career. During stage combat training one day, she and her castmates were taught a few basic Judo throws, and Jess’s interest was piqued.
She visited several of Melbourne-based In Your House Wrestling’s shows, and decided after the 2018 edition of Dawn of the Immortals that she wanted to train, but had to find the money to manage it--eventually taking out a loan to cover her costs. She entered IYH’s training centre, the ThunderDome, on her 18th birthday, changed her name from Jessica White to Jessica Black and debuted on the centre’s first official show--almost immediately drafted into a new version of the War Enforcement faction.
Jess became notorious among the ThunderDome for winning most of her matches by submission--but then being disqualified because she refused to let the hold go, claiming she was going to “use the entire locker room to make her point.”
Covid caused the ThunderDome to suspend operations, and effectively put an end to Jessica Black’s career...but when the borders opened again, she packed her bags and left for England, and put her nose to the grindstone for the next two years, training with several different trainers across the UK, all the while creating a new persona for herself: The Crown Jewel of Pro Wrestling, Kaitlin Williams. She's since spent her time wrestling across Europe, with a...less than flattering reputation for violence and general scumbaggery following her new name.
Despite that reputation, however, she found herself recruited to Zion Wrestling--and made her debut on the 26 May 2023 edition of Fusion, assaulting National Champion Zara Ivory after a title defense. After two squash matches on her debuting night on Fusion, Kaitlin would win the National Championship in just her third official match in Zion, by submitting Zara with a sleeper hold. She would go undefeated for almost the remainder of the year, earning 5 successful defenses of the National Championship, until being beaten for the first time in Zion by Nao Saegusa at War Games 2023. During this time, she also won a match against then World Champion Jordan Majors, which served as the catalyst for a rivalry with Majors in early 2024.
Ahead of the Madness Rumble, Kaitlin would take umbrage with Majors, who didn't have the same disdain for the Crown Jewel that Kaitlin had for her; in fact, Majors seemed dismissive of Williams' complaints against her at first, citing bigger issues at hand, but Kaitlin would take every opportunity to goad her enemy on--even as she spent all of February and March competing on Mayhem, in the first ever Zion World Cup's Gold League. Repeated attacks and call-outs against Majors finally led to Majors responding, by interfering in the deciding match of the Gold League and costing Kaitlin an opportunity to win the World Cup.
Williams would go on to defeat Majors at a special edition of Fusion called Battleborn, before controversially qualifying for the Chance Briefcase match by defeating Daria Dorsey following an attack by Angelica Matthews. Williams would beat 5 others to claim the Chance Briefcase, and become effectively the number one contender for any title she saw fit.
INTANGIBLES
Intangible #1: Violent -- She has exactly no regard for her opponent’s well-being; wrestling isn’t just a scrap to her, every match is a message.
Intangible #2: Technical Savant -- For better and worse, she's got the skill to compete on a technical level with most people, but her ego is so high that she'll sometimes even put herself in bad positions because she's certain she'll escape (inviting strikers land a first blow, offering a leg to grapplers, etc.)
Intangible #3: Narcissistic -- Her ego is out of fucking control. She's better than you, and she wants you to know it. Again, for better and worse, as she's more than happy to taunt you and rile you up--to her own detriment at times.
Entrance Theme (w/ link if available): Scroobius Pip "Let 'Em Come"
Regular Entrance Description
The arena goes dark suddenly, as the low, grungy guitar riff of Scroobius Pip's "Let 'Em Come" starts to fill the arena. An array of different colored lights start to swirl through the arena, lighting up different sections of the audience for a moment before moving right along to somewhere else. A few seconds pass, and it's only when the singer speaks up that the curtain is pushed aside, and Kaitlin Williams comes pushing through, immediately spreading her arms out wide, a sly little smile on her face as she glances out into the arena. She holds her spot in the center of the stage, rolling her neck out to either side, only making her way down the ramp when she’s good and ready.
Kaitlin's clearly in no particular hurry, as she more saunters down the ring, occasionally glancing to either side of her to take in the fans at the aisleway. It’s never for more than a moment or two, though, as the most regard the Crown Jewel is willing to give is a little tilt of the head to one fan in particular trying to get her attention--whatever he may have been saying, it didn’t do much to faze her, and she just continues to move on.
ANNOUNCER: Introducing [first/next], from Adelaide, South Australia: weighing in at 156 lbs, she is the self-proclaimed Crown Jewel of Professional Wrestling, KAITLIN WILLIAMS!
At her own pace, Kate eventually reaches the ring steps, pausing with one boot on the bottom step, closing her eyes for just a second before quickly jogging up onto the apron, casually wiping the soles of her boots off before spinning around to face the crowd--if only to smirk a little bit as a shower of boos rain down on her. She chuckles a little, spinning to step into the ring, crossing all the way to the far side and stretching her arms out, holding the pose for several seconds before shrugging her jacket off, tossing it out of the ring and backing to her corner.

With a single pull, she unstraps the belt and raises it up over her head, grinning out into the crowd as she gives them their moment of attention--a grin that only gets wider as the fans express their disdain for the so-called Crown Jewel. She slings her title over her shoulder and more saunters down the ring, not even so much as looking at the fans anymore; a smug little smirk rises on her face as she hears some of the disdain the front-row fans send her, but she only stop at the foot of the ramp, giving the faceplate of her title a couple pats.
ANNOUNCER: Introducing [his/her] opponent, from Adelaide, South Australia: weighing in at 156 lbs, she is the self-proclaimed Crown Jewel of Professional Wrestling, and the Zion Wrestling [TITLE-NAME] Champion! KAITLIN WILLIAMS!
At her own pace, Kate eventually reaches the ring steps, pausing with one boot on the bottom step, closing her eyes for just a second before quickly jogging up onto the apron, casually wiping the soles of her boots off before spinning around to face the crowd--if only to smirk a little bit and raise her title again, as a shower of boos rain down on her. She chuckles a little, spinning to step into the ring, crossing all the way to the far side and raising the belt up once more, eventually backing into her corner and laying the title out like a line in the sand. She shrugs off her jacket and tosses it out of the ring, smiling across the ring at her challenger and drawing a line right by the belt with her toe.

WRESTLING INFORMATION
Favorite Type of Match: Submission, Last Man Standing, Most No DQ matches
Least Favorite Type of Match: Ladder, Scaffold, anything she has to not be on the ground for.
In-Ring Strengths:
+ Opportunist: Even when she was called Jessica Black, she didn’t care about the “traditions of wrestling,” nor did she care about your opinion of what she does. Now, as Kaitlin Williams? She’s even less concerned with how the world sees her, so much as that they see her. Every possible shortcut, every possible cheap shot, everything she can do to boost her own potential, she’s going to do.
+ Passion Project: It took her a while to find what she was really passionate about in the world, but once she found it? She became utterly devoted. In truth, she’s only been in wrestling for around 4 years, and only actively competing for one of them, but because of her sheer devotion to it, she’s seen her skill rise exponentially.
+ Raw Fucking Power: Especially in comparison to a lot of women in wrestling, Kaitlin is a powerful girl. In a pure strength matchup, she’ll fancy her chances--up to a point, obviously.
+ What’s Wrong With Being Confident?: No one will ever accuse Kaitlin Williams of lacking confidence in herself. It doesn’t matter the situation, it doesn’t matter the odds, it doesn’t matter what she’s up against--even if nobody else would ever bet on her, she will.
In-Ring Weaknesses:
- Cheaters Never Prosper: Jessica’s mantra has always been “success first,” and she doesn’t especially care how she gets there. She’ll actively cheat, in every possible way she can think--and she’s not subtle about it at all. She will get caught.
- Not a Team Player: Even when she was part of a faction, she was the singular; Jess has only one concern in her career, and that’s herself--and the elevation of her career. Literally every single other person is secondary, including teammates--and if they’re in the way? Well, they’re disposable. She generally doesn’t play well with others.
- Not the Most Colourful Knife in the Chandelier: Jess isn’t stupid--but she is very convinced that she can make her gameplan work. Regardless of what’s actually stacked against her in such a case. She doesn’t adapt well, she doesn’t improvise well, she’s going to stick to what she knows until it works--for better and worse.
- Speed Kills: Bluntly, Jess doesn’t do sprinting. If she has to chase you, you have a pretty good chance at beating her.

- Heel Shit: Literally, anything you can think of. Eye gouges, low blows, hidden weapons (brass knucks/pocket sand/mist/etc.) or obvious ones (chairs/kendo sticks/etc.), just about everything except straight up hiding.
- Against women in particular, she will very much use Rhea's ridiculous erotic stack pin if she uses the Riptide version of Katastrophe, just to be a little more antagonistic.
