The first chorus of “Throne” by Bring Me the Horizon ends as we cut to the inside of the brand new Zion Wrestling Stadium! A huge set of pyro goes off to start us off for Mayhem tonight as we cut to Winter Mae and Kyle Casssidy at the announce desk!
Winter Mae: After a long break, we’re finally back for a brand new season of Zion action! Welcome to the Season Premiere of Monday Night Mayhem! I’m Winter Mae, joined by my new broadcast partner, Kyle Cassidy!
Kyle Cassidy: I am so happy to be here in Zion Wrestling, Winter! This next season is gonna be absolutely HUGE and I am overjoyed to be able to call the action with you as we watch it all unfold!
Winter Mae: Tonight we got a #1 Contenders Match for the Undisputed Championship in our main event as Nami Megumi takes on The Void’s Zachary Porter! As well as the beginning to the Undisputed Tag Team Championship Tournament!
Kyle Cassidy: Don’t forget about what is sure to be a banger of a Gauntlet Eliminator Match to determine the #1 Contender to Diamond Steele’s Gateway Championship! As well as the debut of Griffin Freakin’ Hawkins! But right now in just a few short moments, we’re gonna have an opening match for the ages as Dinah Wolfe defends her newly-won Internet Championship against Oliver Peters! Stay tuned!
“STARS” Original by Stardom rang out throughout Zion Wrestling Stadium as the fans cheered throughout the arena. Nami Megumi walked out with the mic out in her hand. Nami waved to the fans with a smile. Nami slowly headed into the arena as she herself greeted fans down the hall after a long hiatus after the end of Destiny II. Now we can clearly see how happy Nami is after Destiny. II ended. Nami slowly walked up the ring before she slowly made her way to the center of the ring and looked around before she picked up the mic before she began to speak.
Nami Megumi: Wow! It's really beautiful here! Hello Florida! Hello everyone in this beautiful city and welcome everyone to Zion Wrestling Stadium! This is the first time we have our own arena and I'm so happy to introduce everyone to the first Monday Night Mayhem in Zion Wrestling Stadium and thank you for always cheering me on. The cheers were amazing. Well, I'll start talking now as everyone knows how Destiny II ends and I certainly can't talk about my match against my sister in Destiny II. that everything is as I want it to be It ended with my victory and I'm very happy that it ended like that. So I can start over with what I hope will improve. And of course tonight I have a very important match for me, of course I'm referring to Zachary Porter, of course I'm really expecting for this match. I know how important it is and I don't want to miss it again. I looked at it tonight, knowing Porter was going to be a tough opponent, but I wasn't afraid. I had no idea to fear him for even a second. Now I look to doing my best tonight. I don't care what he says about me or this match. Because only if I do better than him tonight will I become a winner and I will definitely not let someone like him stop me from my dreams. And if asked if I'm afraid of him? No, I'm not afraid of Porter in the slightest, and I know I might be better tonight than him. I don't know what will happen But I definitely won't let him see the weak side of me. I will do everything to give him no advantage in this match. If asked if anyone would be the one to stop Porter, I'm going to ask if I could be the one to stop him tonight.
The Crowd: Nami, Nami, Nami!
Nami Megumi: Well, for tonight, of course, there are some things that I may be worried about because the things that bet on this match are quite risky. It's precious gold. I too have wanted this for a long time. It wasn't just because I wanted to climb back to the top of this place. But it was because I wanted what was mine from last year. It deserves to be mine since the champion is Angel Kash, but you know what? Because many problems took it away from me not just once. Again, it just happened not too long ago. I can't believe that it was a miracle that prevented me from becoming a world champion. I believe it is because there are too many things bothering me. Those who do that just envy me that I'm about to become a world champion. So since I have another chance and this time it will be my chance to become a challenger. So I don't want to make mistakes. I don't want to fail I personally want to win this match and become a challenger. 'Cause it's what I've been waiting for But I also know it's not easy, especially when they throw me one of the best guys in Zion. but i'm not afraid It made me even more thirsty. I crave to hit my target World champion is my real goal. I've been waiting for it for a long time And even if I have to wait longer, I can wait because I will never give up and let go of the world champion. I will do anything to make the world champion myself. And if this match turns out to be the one that proves that I deserve a chance I will do anything to win this match, even if it comes at the cost of my blood. I will show Porter that facing me is not easy. And maybe I'll finally win tonight Now I have to get ready and I wish everyone good luck and enjoy every match tonight!
Nami throw the mic down and heading back to the backstage before scene fade away.
We open up in a clearing in the forest where we see a blonde woman sitting on a log, looking around at the space around her. We zoom in, seeing Lilith Meadows as she flashes a soft smile as a butterfly flies across her face before landing on the log beside her. She looks down at it, watching it for a moment before it flies off.
Lilith Meadows: Since we got back to being ourselves, things ain’t exactly been perfect still. We still ain’t found our footing on our own and honestly, we’re still kinda scared and nervous about it. We don’t know what to expect or what the future holds for us. We don’t know what we’re truly doin still and that’s the scariest part of it. We know we must have been lookin like a big joke in Zion and honestly, we couldn’t blame ya if you thought we was.
Lilith stands up, taking a few steps away from the log before she gives a quick turn, looking at her surroundings once again.
Lilith Meadows: We’re hopin that changes real soon on Monday nights and hopefully the next time we step into the ring, we walk out with a win. We don’t know what’s gonna happen or where we’re gonna go, but all we can do is go out, do our best and try and make everyone proud of us and that’s what we’re gonna do. So, anyone who wants to fight us, step up because we’re ready and we’re gonna show everyone why you can’t ever underestimate us or anyone in The Kingdom. Now, it’s time for everyone to finally Behold.
OPENING CONTEST: OLIVER PETERS VS DINAH WOLFE ©
INTERNET CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH
Vivian Blake: The following contest is scheduled for one fall, and it is for the Zion Wrestling Internet Championship!
Crowd: WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
As the opening guitar riff of "Zombie" by The Cranberries plays throughout the arena, Oliver walks through the curtain and stands on the stage, looking out over the crowd for a second, taking it all in; at this point, we can hear Vivian Blake make her introduction.
Vivian Blake: Introducing at this time... from Lancaster, Pennsylvania... weighing in tonight at Two Hundred and One pounds. OLIVER... "OLLY"... PETERS!
Olly looks out over the crowd, giving them a slight smirk, before going across his throat with his thumb, playfully throwing elbows towards the camera, walking down to the Ring, going around to the side facing the hard cam, hopping up on the apron and posing for the crowd, before getting into the Ring, and getting ready to go.
Winter Mae: Getting back into the Ring after a small hiatus must leave Oliver Peter with some ring rust, but tonight, he has the opportunity to say otherwise especially opening our Mayhem episode with an Internet Championship opportunity.
Kyle Cassidy: I agree, Winter! Oliver Peters is known for their veteran experience and all-rounder wrestling style. He's been itching to return to the Ring, and Mayhem is the perfect time to do it! Oliver Peters has the biggest comeback story by winning the Internet Championship in the opening contest of Mayhem, but his opponent is no pushover!
"DONTTRUSTME" by 3OH!3 plays from the interior of the Zion Wrestling Stadium, sparking the fans of the company who are in attendance to rise out of their seats for the current Zion Wrestling Internet Champion, Dinah Wolfe. She walks out from the backstage area in her in-ring attire with the championship belt held around her waist as she unhooks it to raise high above her head, standing center-stage. She receives a lot of positive feedback from her championship confidence, but the only one aware of her presence is Oliver Peters warming up in his corner. Dinah holds the belt across her right shoulder and walks down the path to the Ring interacting with fans along the way.
Winter Mae: Introducing his opponent! Hailing from Paris, France! At five feet, six inches tall, weighing in at 130 pounds! She is the Zion Wrestling Internet Champion, "La Petit Coup" Dinah Wolfe!
Dinah Wolfe climbs the steel steps to the apron before walking along the ropes to stand on the middle turnbuckle outside the Ring. She raises the championship belt in the air again, receiving strong praise from the fans at ringside. Unfortunately, Oliver Peters doesn't share the same sentiment, keeping his eyes locked on the belt as it is passed to the referee. Finally, the entrance music has died down, the lights have returned to brighten the venue's interior, and both competitors are in their corners, ready to square off for the championship!
Kyle Cassidy: She defeated four other competitors at night one of Destiny II, including the former Internet Champion, Alexis Lemon. Dinah Wolfe went through hell and extreme adversity in that match but ultimately hung the championship at the expense of Jack Morrison to become our reigning Internet Champion.
Winter Mae: Yeah, he's been vocal about that loss, but she can't think of that now. She has her first championship defense against Oliver Peters and must stay focused. Dinah Wolfe has a huge opportunity to become one of the best Internet Champions this company has ever seen. It starts as we kick off Mayhem with the Internet Championship match!
Dinah Wolfe and Oliver Peters leave their respective corners simultaneously and circle the Ring at an equal distance. After a few moments, they meet up in the center of the crew, immediately locking together in the traditional collar and elbow tie-up until Oliver shoots the head in the grasp for the Side Headlock. Next, he flips her over onto her back with the Side Headlock Takedown and squeezes down on the head again; Dinah quickly uses her flexibility to pull her legs backward around his neck to pull him into the Scissors Choke!
Crowd: WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
Winter Mae: Oliver Peters tries to take control of the match with the Side Headlock, but Dinah Wolfe knows the trouble she is in with the Scissors Choke!
Oliver tries his best to power out of it but she uses her weight to squeeze down on the choke. Instead, he moves his body around and pushes his head out before standing back up on his feet, where he attempts a Roundhouse Kick but Wolfe ducks under it in the nick of time. She quickly shoots an Up Kick that pushes him back far enough for her to get back on her feet; Oliver charges forward and gets thrown to the canvas with an Arm Drag. He returns from the momentum, and another Arm Drag powers him to the mat. She leaps up in the air on the third rise, and a beautiful Dropkick floors him to the canvas!
Crowd: WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
Kyle Cassidy: Woooo! Beautiful Dropkick by Dinah Wolfe, and she's looking ready to fly!
Dinah stands in the center of the Ring, and Oliver is on the ringside mat with the referee checking his condition. She looks around at the audience in the Zion Wrestling Stadium and nods, feeling their encouragement. She runs to the ropes behind her and then rebounds into the opposing ropes before diving through them to crash into Oliver, causing both bodies to land against the barricade from the Suicide Dive! The fans at ringside watch both competitors lie down on the ringside mat recovering from the crash!
Crowd: WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
Winter Mae: Suicide Dive! Suicide Dive by the champion, and the referee has started the count!
Dinah stands up first from the collision, grabs Oliver's head, and stands him up against the barricade for a couple of Forearm Blows into his head. She tries to drag him into the Ring, but he lands a brutal knee into his ribs before grabbing her right arm and launching her into the nearest steel steps, where Wolfe's body first crashes against the steel structure's abdomen. Dinah sits down with her back against the steel steps, then charges into her for a Running Soccer Kick into her body, bashing her against the steel steps!
Crowd: OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOH!
Kyle Cassidy: My God! Oliver nearly destroyed Dinah using the steel steps to his advantage! There's that experience coming into play again.
Oliver rolls the champion into the Ring and grabs her by the head before yanking her back to her feet. He lands a couple of knee strikes into the exposed ribs before hooking both arms in a Double Underhook for the Snap Double Underhook Suplex in the center of the Ring! The champion sits up, caressing her stomach until getting pulled back into the canvas for the pin attempt!
Winter Mae: Double Underhook Suplex with the pin attempt!
ONE...!
TW-!
Dinah kicks out from the pin attempt, and Oliver's had enough of the games. He violently grabs her by the arm and yanks her back up again before launching her into the nearest unoccupied corner. Oliver charges forward and lands a Running Forearm Blow on her head that causes her to sit down on the canvas. He runs to the ropes behind him, then rebounds with enough speed for a Diving Shoulder Tackle, crushing her body between his weight and the corner turnbuckles. Peters drags her body from the corner and drops on top of her for the pin attempt!
Kyle Cassidy: Jesus Christ! Oliver Peters has been pulling out all the stops and will finally become the champion!
ONE...!
TWO-
No! She kicks out yet again, and Oliver can't believe it. He looks to the referee for confirmation and receives it, which makes him angrier. Changing gears, he decides to sit her up on the mat, dig his right knee into her back and lock in the Rear Seated Chinlock! Oliver pulls back on her chin, causing more pain down her back and abdomen; The champion begs the referee not to call the fight as she still shows signs of being in the match, but Oliver pulls back more on the chin for better torque.
Crowd: PLEASE DON'T TAP! PLEASE DON'T TAP! PLEASE DON'T TAP! PLEASE DON'T TAP! PLEASE DON'T TAP!
Dinah Wolfe shakes her head and starts to fight back against the pain. She slowly pushes herself onto both her knees until dropping down onto her butt to stun him, thus breaking the hold. She quickly stands up only to be grabbed from behind for a German Suplex, but she flips back on her feet, and by the time Oliver turns around, she lands a Roundhouse Kick into his head, turning him around for the Tiger Suplex, planting him on the back of his head!
Crowd: WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
Winter Mae: Holy smokes! Dinah Wolfe fought against the Seated Rear Chinlock submission and reversed a German Suplex into the Roundhouse Kick to Tiger Suplex combination! She's feeling the crowd with her, and she's feeling the momentum switch back into her lane!
Dinah stands back on her feet again and looks down at Oliver, trying to return to where he is. However, the moment he stands up, he gets floored by a Running Clothesline! He crashes down to the canvas again and returns to another Clothesline that floors him down to the mat. Oliver stands up, irritated, as Dinah runs into him, ducking under a thrown arm, coming back from the ropes, and leaping onto his shoulders for the Meteora!
Crowd: OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOH!
Kyle Cassidy: Meteora! Dinah Wolfe is back on the offensive!
Dinah slowly backs into an unoccupied corner and holds each side of the top rope stalking her prey. Finally, Oliver slowly turns over onto his hands and knees, crawling into the center of the Ring, and Dinah squats down, preparing; Peters stands back up, giving the cue to Wolfe to burst out from the corner and deliver a stunning Burning Lariat that turns him upside down!
Crowd: OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOH!
Winter Mae: L’APPEL DE LA MORTE!!! THE SIGNATURE BURNING LARIAT NEARLY RIPPED HIS HEAD OFF!
Kyle Cassidy: SHE'S GOING FOR THE PIN ATTEMPT, AND THE INTERNET CHAMPIONSHIP WILL STAY HOME!

She quickly goes behind him, attempting the Dragon Sleeper, but Oliver shoots his body forward, allowing her to roll onto the canvas. She stands back on his feet until eating a Roundhouse Kick to the head as payback that stuns her on the mat; then he grapples her from behind for the Backdrop Driver spiking him on top of her head!
Crowd: OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOH!
Winter Mae: DEAD! ROUNDHOUSE KICK INTO THE BACKDROP DRIVER! HOLY CRAP! HE SPIKED HER ONTO HER HEAD, AND SHE MAY BE OUTCOLD!
Kyle Cassidy: WE HAVE A NEW INTERNET CHAMPION ALREADY!

Dinah Wolfe kicks out from the pin attempt, and Oliver Peters can't believe it, either! He stands on his feet, completely shocked she managed to kick out from his signature move, and falls backward into the turnbuckles in the corner, measuring her up for the finishing blow. Dinah Wolfe is trying to get up, but the pain has been too much, Oli. Ver is like a rabid animal seeing the perfect opportunity before him.
Winter Mae: Oliver Peters has been waiting so long for an opportunity like this and has everything in his sights. This is the perfect time to capitalize and become the Zion Wrestling Internet Champion-
Kyle Cassidy: WAIT! IS THAT JACK MORRISON?!
Jack Morrison hops over the barricade to be at ringside, where Oliver Peters catches his attention. He immediately turns around to face him and yells at him to back off; Jack, on the other hand, keeps his hands raised in the air, contesting he's only there to watch, but out of nowhere, Oliver gets caught from behind in the Reverse DDT. Dinah falls into the center of the Ring with her legs around his waist, applying the finishing Dragon Sleeper!
Crowd: WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
Winter Mae: MÓR-RÍOGHAIN’S CURSE! THE MÓR-RÍOGHAIN’S CURSE! SHE'S GOT IT LOCKED IN THE CENTER OF THE RING, THANKS TO JACK MORRISON!
Kyle Cassidy: WE DON'T KNOW WHY HE'S OUT HERE, BUT THE CHAMPION MAY FINISH THIS!
Oliver Peters tries to fight out of the submission, but Dinah Wolfe keeps the choke tight. The referee leans in closer to evaluate the current condition of Oliver Peters, but it results in the contender tapping out repeatedly, causing the referee to call for the match!
Vivian Blake: Here is your winner by submission and STILL the Zion Wrestling Internet Champion, Dinah Wolfe!
Winter Mae: What a great first defense of the championship by Dinah Wolfe. She defeated Oliver Peters by submission resulting in her retaining the belt, but the real question is, why is Jack Morrison out here?
Kyle Cassidy: Jack Morrison is still upset about losing the Internet Championship match at Destiny II. It was him and Dinah Wolfe on top of the ladder, but she became the champion, not him. So he wants a rematch for the Internet Championship!
They are closing action.

RESULT: SUBMISSION (MÓR-RÍOGHAIN’S CURSE)
The camera switches backstage towards the locker room area of Zion’s Wrestling Stadium. Before we can even see anyone, we can hear them coming. Two men laughing and gloating about something before the doors get shoved open and in, from the next area over, walk Jack “The Ripper” Morrison and his manager, Shiro. Right as they walk in, Jack has his arms up with his hands out as if saying “I told you so.” Shiro’s just laughing and clapping his hands together in a round of applause.
SHIRO: "HAHAHAHAAAAAA!!! That’s what I’m talking about baybeh!!!! This is your time and no one else’s, Jacky boy!"
Jack’s about to respond when Meliana Rodrigo comes swooping into the frame with a microphone in hand.
Meliana Rodrigo: "Excuse me, Jack!"
Jack turns abruptly to her, looking her over as if she’s got some real nerve to just step in on him like she did. As she goes right into her question, Jack and Shiro exchange a look as Jack points to Meliana as if to ask “what the fuck’s her problem?” Shiro just shrugs his hands up and makes a circle beside his head with a finger. She must be crazy.
Meliana Rodrigo: "Jack, we just witnessed you costing Oliver Peters the opportunity to become the Zion Wrestling Internet Champion. The fans are wondering: why? A lot of us here are wondering: why? What issues do you have with Peters?"
Meliana holds the microphone out to Jack and he’s already pinching the bridge of his nose. He lifts his head again and turns to her, pointing one hand at her, index finger tucked, three fingers out.
Jack Morrison: "Look, Mel? Mel– Melissa?"
Meliana Rodrigo: "Meliana."
Jack Morrison: "Meliana?"
Meliana Rodrigo: "Yes."
Jack Morrison: "Meliana, right. Meliana, how thick are you up here?"
He switches position of his hand, pointing an index finger, not at his but at Meliana’s own head. She pauses for a second. A little insulted. She’s not sure how to answer that but Jack interrupts her from doing so anyway.
Jack Morrison: "You think this is about Ollie Peters? I could give a toss about the man. I said, directly after Destiny, that this matter between myself, Dinah Wolfe and the Internet Championship wasn’t over. Now!"
Jack runs a hand over his goatee as he turns towards the camera and looks into it.
Jack Morrison: "Ollie Peters, I know you’re a proud man. Please understand, mate: tonight, you were merely a victim of circumstance. Dinah Wolfe? I said this wasn’t over. I promised you this wasn’t over! Ask anyone who knows me. Ask this man."
He turns enough to point back towards Shiro then to himself.
Jack Morrison: "When I make a promise, I keep it. I am a man of my fucking word! That Internet Championship should be mine. I know it. The world knows it. Most importantly? You know it. I get it, sometimes defeat is a hard pill to swallow but you’ve done something much worse now, because rather than accept things as they should be, you’ve put a target on your back. You enjoy holding onto that championship, Dinah. You’re gonna be holding onto it for as long as it takes me to get my rematch for it. Nobody’s taking that title from you until the Ripper King comes to pry it right from your fucking hands."
Without another word or even a look to Meliana Rodrigo, Jack storms off past the camera, leaving the woman absolutely befuddled. Shiro saunters up into Jack’s previous spot, watching him go. He turns to Dinah and shrugs his shoulders.
SHIRO: "He’s really a chill dude when you get to know him!"
Meliana’s left even more speechless as Shiro walks off to catch up with Jack and we switch back to ringside.
MATCH #2: THE CROWN VS TRINITY
TAG CHAMPIONSHIP TOURNAMENT FIRST ROUND MATCH
Cassidy starts the match in the ring with Valentina Skye, the two shuffling around the ring before going in for a lock up! Skye uses her strength advantage to start with the upper hand via a Wristlock! But Cassidy’s superior technical acumen comes into play, rolling forward out of the hold and applying a Wristlock of her own! A tug from Cassidy hyperextends the arm of Skye, sending her buckling to a knee! Cassidy follows up on this, nailing Skye with a Boot to the side of the head before going for a pin that only gets a two count!
Cassidy pulls Skye up to her feet, holding her head under her arm as she turns to her corner! She gives Sterling a look, seemingly contemplating a tag! But she decides against it, pulling Skye up for a Vertical Suplex instead! This momentary decision making comes back to bite her however, with Skye being bought enough time to reverse the slam by landing behind Cassidy! She hooks her arms, bringing her to the mat with a Backslide Pin that gets a two! Cassidy rolls to her knees, with Skye beating her up to her feet and catching her with a Knee Strike to the side of the head! She pulls Cassidy in again, this time taking her down with a DDT! Another pin by Skye that still gets a two!
Unlike Cassidy, Skye doesn’t hesitate to get her teammate involved here, immediately tagging in Aubrianna Powers and getting her opponent in position! Powers runs the ropes, with her and Skye taking Cassidy down with an STO/Running Dropkick combo! Powers with the pin, with Cassidy still kicking out at two! Powers shows visible frustration, pulling Cassidy to her feet in order to inflict more damage! But Cassidy reverses, nailing Powers with a few shots to the midsection to keep her away! Cassidy then hits the ropes, looking for another move! Powers attempts to counter with a Clothesline, but Cassidy ducks it before hitting the Under Over (Front Flip Clothesline)!
Pin by Cassidy, but the ref refuses to count it! Unbeknownst to Cassidy, Eden Sterling had made the blind tag when she had hit the ropes, making her the legal competitor! Cassidy’s gaze darts immediately to her partner, with Cassidy taking exception to Sterling’s decision to tag herself into the match! The two go back and forth for a bit, with Cassidy eventually leaving the ring after the ref threatens her with a five count! Sterling turns to focus on her opponent, but Powers is back up, nailing her with the Most Valuable Kick (Reverse Roundhouse)! She then tags in Valentina Skye, who gets Sterling up and nails her with the LA Lights (Glam Slam)! Powers seals the deal, landing on Sterling with Simply The Best Moonsault (Lionsault)! Skye gets on Sterling for the pin, getting the victory as Cassidy just stands and watches!
Vivian Blake: The winners of this match…Trinity!
Winter Mae: Trinity gets the win tonight by capitalizing on what seems to be some dissension between Ashlynn Cassidy and Eden Sterling!
Kyle Cassidy: Winter to say that Trinity had more tag team chemistry tonight than The Crown would be an understatement of epic proportions! Skye and Powers move on to the second round, but I wonder what’s gonna become of Cassidy and Sterling after this interaction.
Skye and Powers exit the ringside, celebrating up the rampway! Meanwhile, Sterling and Cassidy share a slight glance with one another, both of them showing frustration as we fade.
RESULT: PINFALL (SIMPLY THE BEST MOONSAULT)
“Classy” Bianca Page is walking into the backstage area of the Zion Wrestling Stadium. Meliana Rodrigo walks up to Bianca. As Meliana approaches her, Bianca’s smile becomes a frown.
“Classy” Bianca Page: Yes, Meliana? I am great, Meliana. I am better than everyone else, Meliana. Is there anything else,Meliana?
Meliana Rodrigo: Thank you for getting this interview started, Bianca.
“Classy” Bianca Page: I should get your paycheck for tonight.
Meliana Rodrigo: Right. (Meliana slightly shakes her head) You’ve had a very busy last seventy two hours. Wrestling in Las Vegas, Cleveland, and now tonight in Orlando…
“Classy” Bianca Page: That is correct, Meliana. That would be troublesome for any subpar mouth breather out there. AKA the masses but I have shown that I have always been above average. Which is why we saw Blaze run off to Fusion to get away from me because she knew she couldn’t ultimately keep up with me. She just needed a match where everything was legal so she could justifiably cheat to get a win. That just says more about Blaze and her failures more than anything else. But I must digress since she ran off like a coward. All I can do is wish Fusion good luck with having that train wreck on their roster…
Meliana Rodrigo: What about digressing?
“Classy” Bianca Page: I was getting to that, Meliana. As we all know tonight as we enter this new chapter on Mayhem I am one of six individuals with a chance to become the number one contender to the Gateway Championship. I hope you’ve had the chance to enjoy your title reign thus far, Diamond. We all know the only reason you are champion right now is because I wasn’t in that battle royal to crown the new champion back at Destiny ll but that is simply the way it is. Now Diamond we both know that the Gateway championship should be around my waist because I am truly the epitome of who should be the Gateway champion. I have proven any and everywhere I go that my stock is continually ascending to the top. I am on the brink of being a truly great champion here in Zion Wrestling. So what better way to prove that than becoming the very next Gateway Champion. Which is why I’ll be seeing you real soon, Diamond.
Bianca winks at the camera.
Meliana Rodrigo: But what about your opposition tonight? You are facing some real heavy hitters.
“Classy” Bianca Page: That is very true. I believe Link is a former Alpha Wrestling World Champion. Serenity is all of what? 20 years old and has accomplished more in those twenty years then most have in an entire lifetime. Chris Matthews who I know is a living legend. While Melissa and Risa have both dome so much in this business. This isn’t a match full of scrubs and rejects.
Melian Rodrigo: How do you plan on walking out of this Gauntlet match tonight the new number one contender to the Gateway Championship?
Bianca devilishly smiles.
“Classy” Bianca Page: I have my ways and I’ll do whatever I need to get that Gateway Championship belt because at the end of the day I will not be stopped from getting what I want.
We cut backstage to find Void member, Miguel Ortiz arriving at the arena as he’s busy on his cell phone when he’s approached by his tag team partner, Kara “Killer” Carbajal.
Kara "Killer" Carbajal: Hey, Miguel? Have you heard from Ed at all?
Ortiz stopped and looked up from his phone, giving a small shake of his head. He had actually just been talking to his older sister who had been asking him the same thing.
Miguel Ortiz: Nah, I haven’t; I was going to ask you when I saw you. And it’s weird… Solana was just asking me that too. She hasn’t seen or heard from him since Saturday night.
Kara "Killer" Carbajal: Neither have I… and I’ve tried calling him several times but no response. This isn’t like him… and if Solana hasn’t heard anything from him either then something must be going on.
Miguel slid his phone in his back pocket and frowned a little. It wasn’t like the kid to disappear, and even he had to admit that he was a little worried about him in his own way.
Miguel Ortiz: Whatever he’s got going on better be good. I told her I’d keep an eye out for him, but Zach’s got some in-ring time before his match. If we don’t find Ed before that, I’ll go searching around for him after.
KC nods, a slight look of concern on her face as the two disappear off camera as we cut elsewhere.

Backstage at Zion Stadium
Melissa Tasman: I keep missing every opportunity even though I take all my shots. I don't know why, but it wont get to me.
If I had a dollar for every missed opportunity, I could retire already. But Im still here so what does that tell you? It shpuld be that I don't give in no matter what. I promised to put on more bangers. A gauntlet seems perfect for that. Each match is like another match. Another banger.
Anotger opportunity. And this time Ill make it count. Doesn't matter if I go in first middle or last. Ill be going through every one I go up against.
Im not letting another opportunity pass. Tgis is my Gateway to giving the Zion universe something theyve never seen before.

GATEWAY CHAMPIONSHIP #1 CONTENDER GAUNTLET ELIMINATOR
Melissa Tasman and Chris Matthews start this match off, with the two seeming extra determined as they go for some light grappling! They eventually find themselves in a Test of Strength, in which Matthews severely underestimates the abilities of Tasman! His cockiness nearly leads to his downfall, with Tasman able to push back and actually give him a run for his money! Before he can get pushed back too far to counter, Matthews gets underhanded, stomping on her foot of Tasman before nailing her with Knee to the midsection! He follows up, throwing Tasman into the corner before relentlessly laying into her with a Stomps! He pulls her out of the corner, looking to take her down with a Hangman's Neckbreaker! But this only works to Holmes’ advantage even more, as she leaps off with a Moonsault right on top of a still supine Tasman! She goes for a pin, only scoring a two count! Once again the countdown timer ticks down, with Bianca Page being the next one out!
Page immediately finds Holmes in the ring and two go at it, with Holmes managing to take her down with an Enzigiri! She pulls Holmes to her feet, looking for a Vertical Suplex! But just as she looks for the lift, Chris Matthews intervenes with a Forearm to the back of Holmes! She drops Page and collapses to the mat, with Matthews and Page sharing a glance with one another! Matthews points to himself and then to Page, with the two seemingly coming to a silent agreement with one another! The two linger over Holmes, but Tasman is having none of it, coming in to break up the newfound union between Page and Matthews! Tasman subdues Matthews with a few well placed strikes, but the numbers advantage quickly does her in, with Page nailing her with the Swanky Superkick! She instructs Matthews to do something, to which he obliges by leaving the ring and grabbing a steel chair! He raises it up over Tasman as the countdown timer ticks down! But before he can finally take the shot, the buzzer sounds, with Risa Saito quickly making her way to the ring!
Winter Mae: Ohhh boy! This is gonna be good!
Kyle Cassidy: I have zero doubt in my mind that Risa Saito remembered exactly what Chris Matthews had done to her at Destiny last month! Payback’s definitely coming his way!
Saito doesn’t waste a second of time, nailing Chris Matthews with a Superkick that sends the chair he’s holding right into his face! Page now tries to interject, striking Saito from behind with a Forearm to the back! She sets her up, looking for the “Binx” Brainbuster! But before she can go for the lift, Serenity Holmes interjects with a Springboard Dropkick! Page falls to the mat, with Melissa Tasman landing on her with the Tasmelian Devil (Corkscrew Body Splash)! Pin by Tasman, but it gets broken up last second by Chris Matthews! He hits the ropes, looking for the Reign of Thunder! But Risa Saito jumps in and nails him with a Lariat! She gets him up, looking for the Kyoto Catastrophe! But Matthews reverses, nailing her with Krav Maga (Spinning Back Elbow)!
Holmes tries to interject now, with Matthews grabbing her and throwing her out of the ring! He taunts near the ropes, leaving an opening for Melissa Tasman to come in and nail with a stiff Forearm! Matthews is knocked loopy against the ropes, with Tasman looking to run to the other side of the ring to get momentum for another hit! But Page is waiting for her, nailing her with the ”Swanky” Superkick! Tasman falters right into the grasp of Matthews, who drops her with One Shot, One Kill (Pedigree)! Pin by Matthews, getting the three count after a devastating double team!
Eliminated: Melissa Tasman
Just then, the countdown timer ticks to zero again, with Link Andrews rushing out as the final competitor! He doesn’t even hesitate to jump into the two-on-one scenario he finds himself in, taking the fight to both Page and Matthews! He manages to back off Matthews with a Forearm, only to be nailed in the midsection with a Boot from Page! She sets Andrews up for the Binx, but he turns the tables, nailing Page with K-Town Pound (End of Heartache) instead! He goes for the pin, with Matthews breaking it up! He hits the ropes, looking to hit Andrews with Reign of Thunder! But Andrews gets out of the way, hitting the ropes before looking for Din’s Fire! Matthews looks to dispose of someone else, getting Andrews in position for One Shot, One Kill! But Andrews reverses with a Back Body Drop!
Matthews scrambles to get up, only for Risa Saito to re-enter the fray and nail him out of nowhere with a Cutter! She gets Matthews to his feet, taking him down with the Kyoto Catastrophe (Storm One)! Pin by Saito, eliminating Matthews!
Eliminated: Chris Matthews
Saito and Andrews celebrate Matthews’ elimination, exchanging a high-five! But Serenity Holmes knows there’s no time for celebration, rushing in and pulling Andrews down for a Schoolboy Rollup! She gets a two count, before Saito comes in and catches her with a Roll Up of her own! This one is a feint one however, with Saito quickly releasing it and going for the Tiger Feint (Kinshasa)! Before she can make another move though, Bianca Page comes back, looking for a Schoolboy Roll Up on Saito! She kicks out at two, with Page stumbling back into a Waistlock from Andrews! He lifts for a German Suplex, but Page reverses, instead bringing him down with a Victory Roll! Andrews kicks out, with Page rolling up to her knees and immediately being hit with Moving Holmes (Shining Wizard)! Holmes from out of nowhere! Page rolls out of the ring, with Saito rushing over and getting Holmes in position before nailing her with the Lemon Zest (Ripcord Knee Strike)! Saito has Holmes right where she wants her, but before she can make another move, Chris Matthews rushes in again, nailing Saito in the midsection with a boot before hitting One Shot, One Kill!
Winter Mae: What the hell?! Matthews once again attacks Saito after being ejected from a match!
Kyle Cassidy: Scumbag behavior never seems to end! What a coward!
Matthews helps Bianca Page into the ring, laying her on top of Saito for the pin!
Eliminated: Risa Saito
Matthews revels in his handiwork in the corner, only to be quickly cut down by Serenity Holmes with a Yakuza Kick! He rolls out of the ring, with Holmes turning around right into an Elbow shot from Link Andrews! He gets her in position before dropping her with a Tiger Driver He goes for the pin, with Holmes kicking out right before three! She rolls out of the ring now, with Andrews directing his attention towards a stirring Bianca Page! He attempts to pull her to her feet, only to be met with a Low Blow! Andrews buckles to his knees, with Page rushing in and nailing him with the Lavish Lifestyle (Blockbuster)! Pin by Page, getting the three count!

She then climbs to the top rope as Page makes it to her hands and knees, nailing with Red Bottoms (Diving Double Foot Stomp to the Head)! Pin by Holmes, securing the victory!

But both Liam Richardson and Ruby Steele get the blind tag on their partners, itching to jump in! Richardson and Steele stare each other down intensely, before stepping up to the center of the ring and going at each other! They swing wildly, with each of them nailing some rough shots to the face and chest of the other! Eventually, Richardson gains the momentum, landing London’s Calling! RESULT: PINFALL (DESTINATION EXILE)
“Through The Never” by Metallica begins to play through the PA system as Kara “Killer” Carbajal is first to walk out onto the stage and she stops in the middle as Miguel Ortiz and Zachary Porter then walk out from either side of the stage to stand on her left and right. The trio then begin to make their way down the ramp to the ring with snarls plastered across their faces as they glare at the ring in front of them.
Winter Mae: Well… The Void don’t look too happy and I’m guessing it’s got something to do with the absence of Eduardo.
Trick Morrison: When do The Void ever look happy, Winter? Apart from when they’re beating people up of course.
Once they reach the bottom of the ramp, Carbajal quickly rolls under the bottom rope as Ortiz pulls himself up onto the apron and Porter ascends the steel steps before he and Ortiz climb into the ring and take their place on the left and right side of Carbajal again who is standing in the center of the ring as the three glare into the hard camera and “Through The Never” fades out.
Winter Mae: Well regardless of what is going on with Eduardo, Zachary Porter has a very important match tonight, Trick.
Trick Morrison: He sure does… and it’s probably why he and The Void are out here.
Zach is the lone one with a microphone in his hand. He wasted no time getting to the brass tacks.
Zachary Porter: I don’t understand why we are having this match tonight...
The fans immediately boo his statement. He pauses, allowing the people in Orlando to get their frustration out. Deciding it’s time to elaborate he proceeds.
Zachary Porter: No. This isn’t me underestimating Nami. Don’t get it twisted, I whole heartily agree she is an amazing competitor. Not as great as Mr. Destiny... I am two and oh on the biggest stage of them all. Beat the best competitors this company has ever seen. I could list my accomplishments all day long. Under any other circumstance I would welcome the opportunity to humble Nami without hesitation. Me versus Nami in a contenders match for the Undisputed Championship is outright insulting. Why you wonder? I am owed a shot at the World Heavyweight Championship, that’s why.
Zach’s sense of entitlement spurs the crowd to boo him even harder. He rolls his eyes, opting to speak over their disapproval.
Zachary Porter: I get it, Katrina wanted The Void here on Mayhem to screw over Kai. If I was in her shoes, I’d pull the same power play. The least Katrina should do after she separated me from the brand my girlfriend is an assistant general manager on, is award me a championship match against Razzles Mars outright. Not make me jump through hoops to do it.
Both Miguel and KC nod in agreement.
Zachary Porter: Exhibit A... remember Angel Kash... or whatever she calls herself these days? She was drafted over to Fusion a year ago. Was a complete bust by the way. What did Katrina do... bend over backwards to screw me out of the World Championship by earmarking Angel as her chosen one. She was a former Mayhem Champion who got a shot at my World Championship, no hoops, no contendership matches required. Think we can all agree I am a way bigger star in Zion than that two bit hussy ever was. Quite hilarious we are supposed to believe Katrina is the general manager with the moral high ground? Screw the high ground Katrina... I am a former World Champion. Award me an Undisputed Championship match... pronto.
Zach snarls. He doesn’t skip a beat, continuing on.
Zachary Porter: Of course you won’t. Fair enough. Later tonight I am gonna remind Nami where her place is in the world. Not. On. My. Level.
Just as Zach lowers the microphone then, the tron comes to life with a close up of someone right up in the camera with their head down. We can’t tell who it is or where they are yet. Wherever they are, it’s relatively dark. As the camera slowly pans out, we begin to recognize the familiar purple lit room with chains dangling from the ceiling. We also come to recognize the individual. He’s standing - no - hanging by his wrists above his head bound by one of the chains.
Trick Morrison: Oh my god, that… Winter, that… That’s Eduardo Gutiérrez!
Winter Mae: The Void have been looking for him all night! What the hell is this?
Trick Morrison: Winter. That room…
Eduardo appears to be unconscious as he hangs there when suddenly a stream of water hits him in the face, startling him awake. As his head snaps up, viewers can see it looks like he’s been put through a physical ringer. Some fresh bruising and cuts on his face, indicating he’s been on the receiving end of some sort of assault. Eduardo gasps as he snaps awake and shakes his head, trying to get away from the stream of water drenching him. It finally ceases and the young man is left coughing as a feminine voice from off screen begins to sing. Eerily.

The crowd in the arena goes nuts while, in the ring, The Void go wide eyed, looking between each other and the screen. Inside Yukiko’s “lair” as it were, Eduardo begins to stammer, trying to find his words but the Osaka Devil reaches up and gently pats him on the face.
Yukiko Kusanagi: Shhhh. Shh shh shhh. Save your breath, boy. You may need it soon.
She turns towards the camera, looking through it and right at The Void inside the ring.
Yukiko Kusanagi: Did you think it was over…? Miguel Ortiz… Killer Kara… Zachary Porter… Did you think it was over?
Her brow furrows and her eyes grow colder above the edge of her half mask.
Yukiko Kusanagi: Did you think the Queens of Chaos were the type to just…forgive and forget? You have made the gravest of mistakes, be that the case. You see, recently, it seems as though our decision to take the high road against our adversaries has allowed everyone to forget how far we are willing to go for those who show their loyalty to us. In spite of everything else on the previous agenda, the Devil…has been watching… Observing…
She pauses in her words and turns to look at the terrified Eduardo for a moment before looking back into the camera.
Yukiko Kusanagi: You’ve let your little puppy run loose off of his leash for too long and now he has wandered into our yard and bit one of our own. In ancient times…when an unruly individual raised a hand against a loyal subject to the land’s ruler…it was often dealt with swiftly. Effectively. As a message to all others who may have thought such transgressions could be gotten away with.
Yukiko reaches up and removes her mask from her face so The Void can see the scowl on her face.
Yukiko Kusanagi: You bled one of ours…Ollie. Now, we…I am going to bleed one of yours. Blood for blood. Eye for an eye.
She slowly lifts one of her hands, horrifyingly revealing a pair of pliers in them which she snaps open in front of Eduardo’s face. This gets his attention as his eyes go wide and he begins to stammer again before Yukiko turns her attention to him and shushes him softly.
Yukiko Kusanagi: Hey, hey…hey. Shhhhh… It’s alright, sweet boy.
She says this close to his face, loud enough for the camera to pick up, despite her lips right up against his ear. She smiles slowly and lets out an unsettling giggle, placing a kiss to the side of his head.
Yukiko Kusanagi: We’re going to have so much fun. Let us see how deep the nails on those little piggies are rooted…
Yukiko smiles wider and lowers out of frame. Eduardo begins struggling and wriggling.
Eduardo Gutiérrez: Hey, w-wait. Wh-wh-what are you doing? Stop, stop, stop!! STOP!! KARA!!!!! MIGUEL!!! ZACH!!!! HELP ME!!!!!
It’s these screams for help that are the last thing we hear before the tron abruptly cuts off. Inside the ring, Zach and Kara are losing their minds and Miguel is already halfway through the ropes before jumping down and sprinting up the ramp towards the backstage.
Trick Morrison: My god, Winter!! I don’t know what to think!
Winter Mae: Me neither, Trick! This is nuts! The Void aren’t everyone’s favorite of society but this seems a little extreme
Trick Morrison: Well, there goes Miguel Ortiz! He’s obviously running to try and find Eduardo Gutiérrez!
Winter Mae: Fuck it, go dude! Go go! Find him!
The camera angle cuts, jumping backstage and right there with Miguel as he hauls ass through the back of the arena, looking around every which way.
Miguel Ortiz ED!!!! WHERE ARE YOU?! ED!!!!!
Miguel’s voice bellows through the halls of the Zion Arena. He grabs a staff member here and there asking them where that room shown on the tron is but nobody seems to know. Miguel grows more frustrated as the camera follows him around a corner and he stops when he sees someone up ahead, laid out on the floor.
Miguel Ortiz Ed? Shit!
Once he recognizes The Void’s missing member, he sprints down the hall to his side. It is, indeed, Eduardo Gutiérrez, conscious, groaning and bound by his wrists and ankles in duct tape with another strip over his mouth. It’s important to note that both of his boots are off but when Miguel tentatively checks his feet, everything is intact. He starts to panic at first when Miguel grabs him but has a deep look of relief in his eyes when he recognizes his brother in arms. Miguel peels the duct tape off of Eduardo’s mouth and he immediately groans and spits out something that had been stuffed in there. Miguel picks it up with his thumb and index finger with a confused face, staring at the tiny Teru Teru Bozu doll with a winking smiley face drawn on the head. He crushes it in his hand and proceeds to unbind Eduardo as the cameras go back to Winter and Trick at ringside, just absolutely at a loss for words at what just happened.
MATCH #5: GRIFFIN HAWKINS VS ROBERT KAIDEN OAKLEY
NON-TITLE MATCH
The two men walk towards each other and shake hands before returning to their corners.
The bell rings and the two men leave their corners, circling each other. Robert slowly raises a hand, offering Griffin a test of strength. Griffin seems all too happy to oblige and the two men lock hands. A pushing contest ensues, with neither man seeing to be able to make the other bend a knee. Eventually, each man realizes they have only two choices – use the test of strength to attack the other, or release their hands.
Both men opt for the high road and let go, continuing their circle. Finally, Griffin slams into the champ in a sudden lock up, backing Robert to the ropes behind him. Whipping Robert to the ropes, Griffin runs to meet him, throwing a kick at his head. But Robert dives, rolls, and bounds back to the ropes, whipping himself at Griffin in a spear. The hair rocker slams to the mat immediately as the champ rolls up and off of him. He grabs Griffin’s arm and twists it before dropping a leg across Griffin’s chest.
Robert leans back, trying to yank the arm harder and harder. Griffin’s face shows the pain he’s suffering, but he grits his teeth as he plants his boots on the mat and braces himself. Suddenly, Griffin managed to roll up like a yo-yo, until he’s close enough to palm-strike Robert in the face. The champ releases the hold and pulls away.
Both men jumped up, with Oakley rushing at Hawkins. Griffin greeted Robert with a boot to the midsection, followed by a scoop slam. Griff was tempted to go for a pin but he wasn’t stupid enough to think this would be what put Robert down for a count. Instead, he moved to putting Robert into a figure four leglock.
The official drops and asks Oakley if he submits. Robert barks a pained, “NO!” while punching the canvas. Griffin leans back and tightens the hold. Again, he knows this won’t end the match. The point it to wear his opponent down and make the fight harder on him. Eventually, Griff releases the trapped limbs and gets up. He reaches down to grab hold of Robert, but is surprised when Oakley throws a kick up and into the side of Griff’s head.
The vet stumbles, but not before the champ can grab a let and yank it from under Griffin. Hawkins falls over, giving Robert time to climb to his feet and steady himself. Griffin pulls himself up only to receive a standing dropkick that plants him back where he was.
Oakley advances on Hawkins’ splayed out body, stomping on his left leg, then his right leg, then his right arm, and finally dropping the bottom of his boot right between Griffin’s eyes. He then drops a knee on Griff’s chest and pulls his legs up for a pin.

The vet arches his back and dislodges the would-be victor. Robert sighs. He knew it was a longshot, but he’d hoped he’d dazed Griffin just enough. And Griffin is obviously still a little dazed.
Oakley bends down and lifts Griffin up, holding him horizontally, before breaking into a run. He slams Griffin into the corner, crushing him into the turnbuckles, before hanging him in a Tree of Woe – or, as Robert calls it, a Tree of Oak – before backing up. He races back towards Griff, launching into a basement kick. The vet took the hit full-force to the face, sliding off the ropes and landing in a crumpled mess.
Robert surveys the damage he’s levied. Surely, this was enough. But, just in case…
Robert lifts Griffin up, holding him perfectly vertically, before dropping the older man’s feet across the middle rope. Robert drops backwards, executing a rope-hung DDT. But while Robert goes down, Griffin doesn’t, having managed to put his arms out and catching himself just as Robert’s headlock slipped off his head.
Griff shoves himself up and pulls out from between the ropes. He leaps over the top rope, his feet landing where Robert’s knees briefly were. Robert is up, throwing a fist towards Griffin. Hawkins blocks the attack, slamming a forearm across Robert’s chest. Another chop across the chest backed Robert up. A third hit pushes the champ back to the center of the ring. Finally, Oakley throws a kick at Griff, but the rocker catches and spins Robert around. Hawkins leaps on Oakley’s back, executing a backstabber. As Oakley gets laid out, Hawkins attempts the pin.

TH--
Robert jolts to life, palming Griffin’s face and shoving him away. Robert rolls onto all fours and moves towards the ropes, but Griffin latches on a dragon sleeper, cranking him backwards.
The official checks for submission, but Robert gurgles a violent, “no!” Unlike the figure four, Griffin refuses to release the hold. Either Robert will get away on his own or he’ll have a nap. It’s that simple. The champ struggles violently, feeling everything around him growing hazier and hazier. He attempts to pull the arm from his throat but he just can’t. Finally, with no other options, Robert reaches back and bell-claps Griffin in the head. And again. And again. Finally, a fourth strike gets Griffin to release the attack, and lets Robert jump forward, grabbing the ropes.
Both men slowly get up. Robert moves towards Griffin, only to have a forearm smash across his mouth. Robert repays in kind, and the two men begin trading blow after blow, getting more aggressive and hitting harder each time. Finally, Griffin throws what should be a match-ending blow, but Robert ducks it. He pops back up and palms Griffin’s face. Snaking a leg between Griffin’s, Robert throws the man backwards to the mat – but the rockstar hits canvas, rolls backwards, and pops back up – striking a “Ta-da” pose.
Robert would be impressed if he weren’t the one fighting Griffin. Instead, he’s just flustered. He lunges forwards, an outstretched arm aimed for Griffin’s chest, but the vet bends backwards and lets the attack soar by. Robert slams into the ropes, sending himself back to Griffin, but Griff intercepts him by jumping onto him in a codebreaker. Robert flops back onto the mat, rolling to his side and pushing back up.
Griffin advanced, grabbing one of Robert’s legs. Robert kicks the other leg back and up into Griffin’s face, forcing him to release. Robert gets up and hurls himself into his opponent, slamming forearm after forearm into Griff’s chest. He pushes him all the way back to the ropes before grabbing Hawkins’ arm and pivots to whip him across the ring. Instead, Griffin reverses it and whips him instead.
Robert bounds off the ropes, having missed his target, only to return right into Griffin’s superkick finisher, Shot in the Dark! The champion falls backwards and Griffin drops atop him for the pin.

THREE!
Robert bucks Griffin off right after the hand hits canvas a third time. Another lesser man would try to argue with the referee, but the champ knows he was too late.
Vivian Blake: "Your winner by pinfall... GRIFFIN HAWKINS!"
Winter Mae: Griffin Hawkins gets the upset over the Fighting Spirit Champion in his debut!
Kyle Cassidy: You gotta believe the Jukebox Hero is feeling pretty damn good about that victory! And you know what, Winter?! I think I'm vibing with him!
Winter Mae: You better sit down before you get the cords on your headset tangled, Kyle! But I agree! The aura of Griffin Hawkins is contagious.
Griffin pulls himself up to his feet and the ref raises his arm. He stoops again to check on Robert. The champ offers a thumbs up, exhausted and disappointed but refusing to be a sore loser. Griffin grabs Robert’s hand and helps him to his feet. The two man shake hands again to the cheers of the fans.
Griffin hops over the top rope and heads up the ramp, slapping hands with fans. Robert watches him leave, seeing the victor vanish into the entrance. He turned from the entrance…
… just in time to get clotheslined.
Robert lands on his back, feeling a shower of stomps start to pulverize him. Looking up into the lights it was hard to see the faces of his attackers, but eventually his eyes adjust.
Lien Kimiya. Hayumi Yamamoto. Akira Fujimoto.
Hebi No Rengo.
Winter Mae: Hebi No Rengo?! What are they doing out here?!
Kyle Cassidy: A snake never forgets it seems! Hebi No Rengo still have unfinished business with the champ! He was just too occupied with Daria Dorsey to realize!
The women curse and spit on Robert, with Lien dropping a fist into his face. It was obvious they’d been waiting, wanting the perfect chance, and seeing him tired out from Griffin made this the perfect time. He isn’t sure, but Robert thinks he sees a glint of metal slip from the pockets of one of the women and wrap around her fingers.
That’s when Akira goes flying backwards, a large bicep slamming into her throat.
Immediately, the members of Hebi No Rengo scatter into different directions, leaving the ring. Griffin Hawkins takes a protective stance in front of Robert.
The women his angrily, howling for Griffin to mind his own business. He only replies with a gesture inviting them all back into the ring for all five of them to address their business. Hebi No Rengo seem to almost consider it, but their message is sent – there’s still business with Robert.
Winter Mae: Griffin Hawkins fends off the pack of snakes that is Hebi No Rengo!
Kyle Cassidy: That loss for the Fighting Spirit Champion may have been a blessing in disguise! You gotta believe that had it been anyone else in there with him, they'd leave him to get devoured!
Akira palms the skirt of the ring and taunts the bruised man, “You can’t hide behind Griff forever. Eventually, your head is ours.” With that, the women traipse off, vanishing into the crowd. Griffin bends down and helps Robert back up, noting the wounds. The look down and see a dropped bicycle chain, and Robert realizes this could have ended with a lot more blood.

RESULT: PINFALL (SHOT IN THE DARK)
AWOOOOOOOOOOOO!
"Strawberry Shake" begins to play as the fans completely go wild. The roar of the crowd threatens to rock the rafters of the Zion Wrestling Stadium. The circling pink and purple spotlights swirl around and finally meet in the middle on the stage where the curtains are thrown open and Razzles Mars emerges onto the stage, with an ear-to-ear smile on her face. She wears a rainbow bodysuit, complete with the dangling arm fringe on the long-sleeved jacket top and yellow trainers with a prism across them. Her back turns to the crowd, undoing the snaps on the rainbow jacket and throwing it open where, when she turns around, around her waist is the Zion Wrestling Undisputed Championship! The fans roar at the sight as Mars unclasps the belt from her waist, holding it by one strap over her head. The flashbulbs and snaps of cameras go off in the crowd as she poses on the stage, staring doe-eyed at the belt.
Vivian Blake: Hailing from Coconut Grove, Florida -
The cheers only grow for the champion as her home away from home is announced as the same state that the show is taking place in, while Razzles places the belt over her shoulder. She walks down the ramp, an arm outstretched to collect high fives from every fan in reach.
Vivian Blake: She is the Zion Wrestling UNDISPUTED CHAMPION... RAZZLES MAAAAAAARS!
Mars gives a polite round of applause for Vivian from the outside of the ring, bringing a smile to the ring announcer's face. This is the same girl who cheers her on for her ring announcements every show, after all. Mars climbs the steps and bends into the ring, a little more mindful than her usual "launch and pray" tactics considering the heavy ornamental detailing on her garb and the dangling tassels of her garb. Viv hands the microphone over to Razzles who thanks her off-mic, and stands in the center of the ring. "Strawberry Shake" dies down, but instead, Razzles is met with a new song.
RAZ-ZLES RAZ-ZLES RAZZLES MARS! from one side of the building, sprinkled in with a:
YOU - DE - SERVE - IT! for good measure.
She stands in the center of the ring, mic in one hand, title in the other on her shoulder. Her chest heaving for breaths as she thumbs at her eyes which well up some. The songs and cheering don't stop, as they haven't since her first day. Hoisting the Undisputed Championship over her head, the applause roars up again as she lifts the mic with a shaky hand.
Razzles Mars: Please forgive me if I get sentimental... I'm still in my Lover era!
Mars laughs, fanning her face with three splayed fingers while she pulls the championship down to her shoulder. Exhaling a deep breath, she blinks back the welling of her eyes and pushes the tears back with a laugh.
Razzles Mars: I don't know how to be more succint guys but... we bloody did it. We did this together! And I couldn't be more proud and humbled to stand here, finally your Zion Wrestlin' Undisputed Champion!
The sing-songs continue, and Mars bobs her head a little. Enjoying the serenade of the song that's followed her for nearly two full years now. It's one that she hasn't grown tired of yet.
Razzles Mars: Y'know, I thought I left my heart in Japan. But you lot are showin' me that I brought it home with me, bigger and betta' than evah. But, you know this has been a team effa't. I never joked when I said that this was for us. Each and every single one of you who stayed up to the earliest hours of the mornin' to watch Destiny II, cheerin' for me, rootin' me on? It was felt, even from across the ocean. This belongs to you all just as much as it does me! But, I'd feel remiss if I didn't express to everyone my gratitude. Kasey Kash... you're a helluva fight, a remarkable bastard in the best way possible, and I genuinely hope that you're lovin' every minute of what you're up to now. Thank you for the gift that you gave me: you showed me that I am capable of great things.
She said, planting her lips to the central plate of the championship.
Razzles Mars: I'm not going to stand here and pretend it was easy. I had more sleepless nights than not, wonderin' if the things that people said about me held weight. That I'm not a champion. That I was destined to have gone so far, just to fail again. Of course I had people rootin' for me, but there was an equal number of people waitin' for my downfall, wantin' to see me fail. Going the distance and becoming the Undisputed Champion was the final milestone I needed to get to in order to let go of the specters that haunt me. No ghosts in the night anymore... no more doubts, no more regretting what I didn't do, no more being cruel to myself because of apologies I've had to accept that were - and likely never will be - given. With fifteen extra pounds of gold on my shoulder... I feel lighta' than I ever have. And I'd be remiss to not be part of the first show in this beautiful building, what some three hours from home?, and not express my gratitude to each and every one of you, who were part of the greatest thing that's eva' happened to me. I'm so genuinely humbled and proud to reign as your Zion Undisputed Champion. Thank you for believin' in me and gettin' me to the finish line. I look forward to bein' here for a long time with you all!
The Undisputed Champion bows, clutching her championship belt close in a loving hug. "Strawberry Shake" begins to play again as Mars eases out of the ring. Clasping the championship around her waist again as she makes her way back up the ramp. Both hands on the central plate, making her way backstage.
Winter Mae: What an ovation for the Undisputed Champion! It seems that Monday Nights are gonna be super sweet for a long time!
Kyle Cassidy: And speaking of the Undisputed Champion, Winter! We'll get to see her in action next week, as she takes on Sakura Matsuda in Non-Title action!
Winter Mae: That's sure to be a huge showcase for Matsuda! If she can win that match, it could mean big things for her in the future! She could be a contender, just like one of these two could be next week! After a grueling defense earlier tonight, it's out of the frying pan and into the fire for our Internet Champion, Dinah Wolfe! Ricky Rodriguez and Brooke Cartwright will go one-on-one next week to determine a #1 Contender for her title!
Kyle Cassidy: You gotta believe after her Trinity sisters got the victory to advance in the Undisputed Tag Team Championship Tournament, Brooke Cartwright's gonna be confident going into that one! All three members of Trinity could be holding gold soon if they play their cards right!
Winter Mae: Speaking of the Tag Team Championships, however, I just got word that next week we will be hearing from the Undisputed Tag Team Champions, The Deathriders, for the first time since they're historic victory at Destiny II!
Kyle Cassidy: Let's just hope they make it down to the ring in a timely manner! They've got a lot of hardware strapped to them these days! But we can't talk about next week without talking about our main event! After scratching and clawing her way through five other competitors, Serenity Holmes not only won her official Zion debut, but an opportunity at Diamond Steele's Gateway Championship!
Winter Mae: With all her next challenger was willing to do just to get a shot, The Siren may have her work cut out for her! But that's next week's main event! Let's get down to this week's! I've been waiting all night for this, Kyle!
