Wrestler Intangibles:
Nao:
Intangible #1: HERO
Intangible #2: Underdog
Gimmick Description: A young woman who describes herself as a "hero of justice", theatrical to a fault as she proclaims her status as a hero and her desire to fight for justice, never letting people forget that she is a hero. She espouses the virtues of justice and doing the right thing, even if sometimes it seems she’s just tooting her own horn a bit.
Character Biography: Nao Saegusa grew up watching the heroes on TV, Riders and Sentais and Ultramen, same as any other kid in her country, being imparted valuable lessons about not giving up and fighting for what's right and also buying the latest toys but mostly the first things. But most kids watching them perhaps did not take those lessons to heart to the point that even as an adult she tries to live her life up to those ideals. And yet they have left that mark on her, and Nao grew up into a woman that wants more than anything else to be a hero to others, like the heroes she watched as a child (and still does, every single week)
How that desire transitioned to becoming a professional wrestler is...unclear! Perhaps it is the right vs. wrong combat aspect of it that appealed to the latent hero in her heart, or perhaps it was simply a logic leap so extreme that only a brain like Nao's could make it. Either way it's the choice she latched onto and received initial training from an acquaintance before enrolling herself in the dojo attached to a fledgling Joshi promotion named Yugen to complete her training. She debuted a few months later and befitting a young hero she immediately set the world on fire.
For how unbelievably sloppy and dangerous her own finisher was.
To say that Nao took to wrestling like a fish to water would be to insult fish and water alike. She had the spirit, the fans loved her, she would win matches, but she was green in every sense of the word, to the point some would wonder if she lied about having any kind of training before walking into the dojo. She was, in all truth, not a particularly good professional wrestler. And she knew it, and that truly hurt her. She wondered if giving up wasn't the best thing to do. But she would remember the heroes she looked up to. They had struggled, they had not been good enough, and yet they kept fighting, kept trying to be better. How could she, as a hero herself, do any less? And so she kept at it, keeping her nose to the grindstone, and gradually she became more. She grew more confident, her matches would go in her favor more, she would rely less on transforming into Justice Mask, she even managed to get her own finisher right! And it all paid off, almost three years into her career, when she won a battle royale by eliminating Platinum Kyoto to crown Yugen's first Eunoia champion. Nao was suddenly the hero she always said she was.
And she lived up to that, truly. For 152 days she was a champion to look up to, putting on exciting matches with some of the best young talent Yugen had. She successfully defended against Kyoto, QUEEN Kanemoto, Adorable Yuri and iO and even when she lost the title to Raquel Salazar it was a fantastic showing, a great ending to what was apparent to any who had watched would be only the first championship reign she would have. This was clearly only the first step to greater heights for the hero.
And it wasn't.
Despite all the momentum she had built for herself, all that hard work she had done, she simply never reached any higher. She won matches, sure, she earned title shots, but she failed at them all. She did not suddenly become a poor wrestler again, but she simply seemed to stop growing as she had. She toiled and grinded, but never to any permanent result. She watched as people she had come up with surpass her, she watched as people that hated her and hurt her surpassed her. That was probably her worst moment, receiving back to back head-beatings from Kyoto, a woman who never forgave Nao for taking what she believed was hers by right, and who had since surpassed Nao. She put her championship (the same one Nao once held) up against Nao twice, and beat her twice. Attacked and tore at her leg. And Nao failed to do anything about it. She could not even reach the level she had peaked at. It seemed the light of the hero had faded, and once Yugen split into two shows she only made one appearance, missing the last month of the company entirely. And that was it for the Shining Star Hero.
But what is a hero without a heroic comeback? Despite it all, she has kept trying to grow, and now sets her sights on an entirely new world. America, Zion. Nao Saegusa, the woman who can become the great hero Justice Mask, would take this challenge on. With the need to show she is a hero, to do the right thing like one, to be looked up to like one, she takes a continental leap to try and find her way there again.
Entrance Theme: "EXCITE" by Daichi Miura
Entrance Description:
The lights dim down a good bit as a glitchy melodic sound plays, and a voice speaks out.
"I gotta believe..."
This begins "EXCITE" by Daichi Miura and the lights brighten a bit to let people see the figure of Nao Saegusa on the stage, eagerly shifting her weight from foot to foot in anticipation. The hero of the hour starts to make her way down as the song continues, clearly vibing along with it as she moves her head to the song and sings along, making sure to slap each and every hand offered. She hops up onto the apron and braces herself, waiting.
Announcer: Introducing [first/next], weighing in at 113lbs and hailing from Saitama, Saitama Prefecture, Japan...she is the SHINING HERO STAR...this is Nao Saegusa!
"I gotta believe!
Turn it on!"
The announcement of her name coincides with the song going into full gear, Nao hopping up onto the second rope and using that to propel herself into the ring, landing right in the center of the ring with a flourish as she strikes a pose, one fist clutched to her chest with the other thrust into the sky! The lights turn up fully and pulse in time with each "Excite!" uttered by the song, while Saegusa keeps her pose, slowly bending her elbow down to lower her fist until it was in front of her as she struck a ready to fight pose, giving a grin and a wink to the camera before finally going to her corner.

WRESTLING INFORMATION
Wrestling Style
Nao:
Wrestling Style #1: Daredevil
Wrestling Style #2: Striker
In-Ring Strengths:
LORD OF THE SPEED - She's really fast once she gets going, and can use that speed effectively to zip around opponents and disorient them before launching an attack
NO RISK TOO GREAT! - If she thinks something will help her get the win, she'll do it without hesitation, even if it's ill-advised or dangerous or just plain stupid.
NO RISK TOO GREAT! - If she thinks something will help her get the win, she'll do it without hesitation, even if it's ill-advised or dangerous or just plain stupid.
HEROES NEVER DIE - Like the heroes she looks up to, Nao doesn't believe in quitting no matter how appealing and easy it would be, she'll keep trying to get to her feet
In-Ring Weaknesses:
Fun-Sized - She weighs nothing, it would be so easy for anyone with even a bit of strength to get their hands on her and just throw her around onto her head with ease.
Brain Go BRRRRRRR - Nao's brain runs as fast as her feet, but not exactly in a useful way. Her thoughts ping pong around in her head, and keeping track of them can take her focus away. Not to mention if things start going poorly for her her thoughts will focus on that and trying to fix it and bounce around, exacerbating her bad situation.
Heroes ABSOLUTELY Die - so like always trying to get back on your feet no matter how bad things are going is cool and heroic and all but it's also kind of dumb as hell when it could lead you to getting seriously hurt yknow.

Occasional Finishes:
(List Up To Two Moves Or Sequences That Your Character May Rarely Use. Underneath The Move, Please State The Conditions In Which Your Character Would Use Them! If You Feel That You Don't Want/Need One, You Can Skip This Part.)
Occasional Finish #1: Spike of Righteousness! - Hurricanana Driver
Condition: Desperation, she doesn't use this move regularly because she uh kinda never really got it down right? So it's as risky for her to break out as it is for her opponent
Occasional Finish #2: Justice Crash MU~TE~KI~ - Shooting Star Kneedrop
Condition: When victory has to be ensured! This was a move she developed...accidentally, we'll say, via her sloppy rookie fuckups. She's genuinely nearly injured people with this, so she's not willing to break it out willy-nilly now even if in theory she should be able to do it properly instead of just smashing someone's face into mush with it.
